Chapter 02

In a forest close to a small town, it is possible to find a 12 year old boy walking in the opposite direction of the city, going deeper into the forest.

This young man had milky white skin and a pretty face that was framed by two fringes of his blood-red hair, which further highlighted his cerulean blue eyes full of kindness and warmth, he was wearing a dark orange shirt with a black jacket on top, dark blue shorts and blue sandals.

This young man was Naruto Uzumaki, Heir to the Uzumaki Clan and perhaps one of the last Uzumaki alive, he was currently returning from the city where he obtained books, clothing and other human needs that his mother cannot provide.

"Dude, Mira-chan had a much worse temper than usual today." He said to himself as he walked quietly through the forest.

Soon after he made a face of deep thought. "Was she 'at that time' in the month I read that book a while ago?" He wondered aloud, but then shrugged. "Eh, who cares, but, I'm sorry for Lisa-chan and Elf-kun for having to deal with her."

When thinking about Mirajane and his brothers, he ended up remembering how he met them, it was just when he turned 10 and asked his mother to pick up some books for him to read, she took him near a small town and pointed out the general direction from the city to him, after arriving in the city and asking a kind woman the way to the library, he ended up bumping into them, now that he thought about it, the meeting was very funny.

A 10-year-old Naruto Uzumaki walked the streets of a small isolated town while admiring the various houses and people walking down the street, enjoying how peaceful everything is in that city.

He was so distracted that he didn't notice 3 people walking right towards him, and they were also distracted, so he and the person in front of the group bumped and fell backwards, both rubbing the place where their heads hit.

Naruto finally looked up and froze with what he saw, in front of him was a girl his age sitting on the floor and rubbing his forehead, there was a small female child of 8 years old by his side with a worried look and a boy of apparently 9 years old right behind, with a worried look too.

What froze him in place was the older girl's appearance, she had long white hair that was tied in a ponytail and left two bangs next to her face, dark blue eyes, a very beautiful face that left Naruto almost breathless , she was wearing a simple black dress that went to her knees.

Naruto didn't see many girls his age or close to her, the only exceptions being when Wasser took him to small towns like the one he's now in to get the groceries he needed, but the other girls he met in those cities didn't even hold one. flag against the appearance of this girl in front of him, if he were to take a chance, she would be the most beautiful girl he has ever seen in his short life, something about her just left him breathless.

Mirajane stood up and looked closely at the boy who bumped into her for a moment and had to admit that he was much more handsome than the boys who live in the city, his red hair that framed his handsome face made her have a little blush on her cheeks, but what attracted her the most were his cerulean blue eyes, she looked into his eyes and was almost mesmerized by them, eyes full of heat, she felt her face heat up just looking at them.

But she soon shook her head to refocus and pointed an accusing finger at him. "You! Why were you walking down the street like an idiot? Apologize for bumping into me and stop looking at me with that silly look." She said as she gave him an evil look that would terrify other children.

Naruto came back to himself and upon hearing what she said and seeing the look she was giving him, started to get a little angry, a normal child would now be cringing and apologizing to her, but Naruto is an Uzumaki, and the Uzumaki were known for their fiery temperaments.

He stood up and pointed an accusing finger at her as well and gave her the infamous Uzumaki look. "HA!? What do you mean, apologize to you? And who are you calling an idiot?"

Mirajane looked at him in surprise at him for a moment, surprised that a child her age could counter his evil look, she smiled almost imperceptibly before answering. "Who else do you think I'm talking to? Tomato."

Naruto blushed with anger at the nickname and gave her a terrifying look. "Who are you calling a tomato ... Huh, Huh, Radish."

Mirajane looked at him with amused eyes. "Oh really? Radish? Is this the best you can think of, Tomato Head?" She gave him a sneer.

Naruto blushed even more at this. "That's it! You are screwed!" And with that he jumped on her and they started fighting in the middle of the street, rolling while they were fighting, what he didn't see was the small smile on her face that Mirajane had when she found someone with a temper as bad as hers.

After that they were separated by Mirajane's brothers, Lisanna and Elfman, as an apology for their sister's temperament they accompanied him to the library, but on the way there they ended up making friends, so they spent the rest of the day together, playing with Lisanna and Elfman or arguing and fighting with Mirajane.

After making friends with the Strauss brothers, that city became the one he went to one day a month to supply his groceries with the money he earned by selling small treasures that his mother accumulated over time, every month he spent an entire day together with the brothers, Lisanna and Elfman ended up calling him Naru-nii and Mirajane gave him the unbearable nickname that his mother still calls him, the damn Naru-chan, or calls him Tomato Head, another nickname that if someone else besides Mirajane calling him, he will kill them.

'Now, I'm so close to reaching level 7 of the runes in my necklace, I can't wait to see if there's anything new at that level besides the books on the next level of runes and updates to the clan spells.' He thought excitedly .

He calculated it the other day, and he was able to unlock all 15 levels only when he was in his 20s, one thing he learned about the Uzumaki runes in recent years, is that the Rune Magic that the Uzumaki use is much more complex and useful than what any wizard can learn, that's why his father can create a complicated rune like Hiraishin, a normal rune wizard couldn't create something like that, that's why the Uzumaki Clan was revered for their Rune Magic in the past.

Naruto hummed a little tune as he walked calmly through the forest, he hoped that he would soon reach level 7 of the Rune Magic, and that the month would pass faster so that he could see Mirajane, Elfman and Lisanna again.

Little did he know that this was going to be the last time he would see the Strauss brothers for a while.

He took the necklace off his neck and placed the rune over it, then the necklace started to glow in a red light, when it shone so much that he had to close his eyes for a moment, when he opened it, right in front of him there were 3 books, a letter and a small sand yellow ball with a blue star in the middle.

Naruto first took the letter that came with it, this was the first letter since the first level, he opened it and started reading, but was disappointed when he saw that it was not a letter from his parents.

You must be wondering where the souls of the Tailed Beasts came from, right? Well that happened a long time ago, at the time when the 2nd leader of the clan was still young, at that time, the Dragons still roamed freely in the land, 9 giant beasts, the same size or even bigger than a dragon appeared in random places of the world, they seemed to be just irrational animals, as they destroyed everything that came their way, so the 2nd leader of the Uzumaki clan tried to kill them, he managed to kill Shukaku, the name he gave to the One Tail, but only 1 year later the death of Shukaku, he began to reform in the same place where he was killed, after that, the 2nd leader discovered that these creatures were made entirely of Etheraro, that is, they are practically immortal, as they can recreate their body with Etherano up in the air.

After that he decided that the only way to defeat these Beasts would be to seal them, then, using his Rune Magic, which was one of the strongest in Clan history, he sealed all the Beasts into small balls like the one that came along with the Letter.

Later in life the 2nd leader found out about Take Over Magic and tried to use the sealed tailed beasts as souls, he managed and gained incredible power, but discovered that the price of this temporary power would be a year to live.

He screamed and soon his body was covered by a sand-colored light, when the light went out, Naruto was still wearing the same clothes, the only differences were his eyes, hair and arms, besides the tail he had on his back.

His eyes were completely sand yellow with his pupils turning into a 4-pointed black star, his arms apparently turned to sand and his hands took the shape of claws, on top of his head he had two Tanuki ears from Yellow color and behind it it was possible to see a tail that appeared to be made of sand with several markings of dark blue color.

Naruto looked at his own hands and then at the tail behind him with a look of admiration, right after he went to the lake where his mother was resting and looked at his reflection in the water, he looked at his new eyes with total admiration.

Meanwhile Wasser looked at his adopted son with an interested look when he saw his new form, which somehow reminded him of the Dragon Force of the Dragon Slayers.

After finishing admiring himself, Naruto turned to his mother and spoke with a fierce smile that looked terrifying in front of his new eyes. "Hey Kaa-chan, help me test this new magic, I want to see how strong the Uzumaki clan's strongest magic is."

Wasser just nodded and stood up, preparing to see how strong his son is in this new form.

Naruto was in the same small town he goes to every month, he was going to the Strauss brothers' house, one thing he found a little strange was the looks that people are giving him.

Some people gave him looks of regret, and other icy looks that contained a little intent to kill, which he learned about during the hunts he and his mother did, he didn't understand what the looks were, but it made him have a bad feeling, so he quickened his pace toward the home of the people he considers his family.

The closer he got to the place, the more the feeling grew, and just as he turned the corner that led to the house, he froze when he saw that all that was left was a fully charred house that had already collapsed.

He walked to the front of the house and looked at the charred remains with a blank eye, going into 'Mission Mode' so as not to panic, but as he looked coldly at the remains, he heard footsteps approaching him from behind, he he turned and saw how several adult men and teenagers walked up to him with various weapons, from sticks to knives, when they got close enough the apparent leader of the group went ahead to speak, but before he could speak, Naruto asked coldly.

"Who made this?"

The leader blinked for a moment and then responded with a sly smile on his face. "It was us, of course."

"Because?" Naruto asked, his voice still stoic and cold.

"Because she was possessed by a demon, so we killed her and her brothers, burning her home." He said with a bigger smile when he saw Naruto's eyes cool with every word he said.

"We were just waiting for you to appear, demon lover, you are the only one left to be killed and to purify this city." He said and then waved for the men behind him to attack.

Naruto just stared at them coldly before releasing the intention to kill that he formed by hunting animals together with his mother.

"You are dead." Naruto declared monotonously and soon after made the first attack.

"Water Dragon's Roar!"
