Here's chapter 5.

Sorry it has taken a while to publish, accidentally erased it on doc manager.

So I had to restart it from scratch.

As a bonus, this chapter is my longest chapter so far.

Tyrion Lannister POV.

Once he was freshened up and cleaned, Tyrion rested on his bed for most of the day and forgot about his dreadful time in the black cells.

Several knocks on his door can be heard, he didn't want to wake up so soon and enjoy resting on his comfy bed, but whoever it is knocking on his door must be important.

"Enter." He groaned loudly, while letting out a yawn.

To his surprise, it was his sweet nephew Tommen; correction King Tommen who stands before him with Joanna standing beside her King.

"Uncle Tyrion." Tommen greets him, Tyrion can hear how happy his nephew was through his voice.

"Nephew." He answers back while rubbing his eyes in the process.

"It is nice to see you again uncle, I am sorry for mother and grandfather wrongly arresting you for Joffrey's murder." Tommen tells him sincerely to him.

Atleast his nephew has some compassion, he wonders if Tommen gets it from Jaime cause Cersei lacks compassion.

"I am told it was you who freed me. Thank you nephew." Tyrion says to his nephew while getting up from his bed.

Only for his nephew to shake his head at him.

"It wasn't entirely me uncle, it was cousin Jo' here who brought it up to me. Her and uncle Jason were looking into the murder and proved evidence to me you did not commit the crime."

Soon as his nephew said those words, Tyrion smiles at his niece, Joanna has grown into a beautiful woman over the years and has shown to be a smart one too, his brother Jason needs to thank him on educating his daughter.

"Thank you Jo', I always knew my niece is more clever than people believe. After all I was the one who helped educate you." Tyrion thanking his niece while playfully teasing her.

Joanna smiles back at him before wrapping him in a tight hug.

"You are welcome uncle, it is the least I can do for you. Father and I uncovered the true culprit of Joffrey's death and told Tommen of it." Joanna being the proper lady his aunt Genna made sure she would be said to him.

"Who did kill Joffrey?" Tyrion asking them both.

"Petyr Baelish, uncle. He is the one who poisoned Joffrey." Tommen tells him.

Littlefinger, why the hell would that snake kill Joffrey, he thought to himself, his niece as if she could read his mind adds.

"Father arrested Dontos Hollard, it appears Littlefinger paid him to smuggle a necklace claiming to be a 'family heirloom' and one of the gems contained the poison. While everyone is in shock of Joffrey's death, Dontos was to smuggle Sansa out of the city and onto a boat owned by Littlefinger." Joanna tells him.

Tyrion took a deep breath, he was going to kill that wretched bastard for framing him for the crime.

"I will need to thank Jason for that and for not foolishly fighting the Mountain." He tells his niece and nephew.

But a thought came to him.

"Why would Littlefinger want with Sansa?" Tyrion asks around in hope his thoughts weren't right.

Seeing the look on his niece's face said it all, ofcourse he thought.

"Father and I noticed on how he would look at Sansa. Father believes Littlefinger tempts to marry Sansa for he could not get her mother." Joanna says nervously to him.

Tyrion felt disgusted upon hearing this, he knew deep down Littlefinger would do something like that, the snake cannot be trusted and he too noticed how he would look at Sansa, it was a look of lust.

"Where is he now?" Tyrion asks them both, he wanted to kill the bastard for framing him and for his sick obsession with Sansa and Catelyn.

"He is back at the Eyrie, uncle Jason had Grand Maester Pycelle to send a raven to the Eyrie and demand him to be stand for trial or the Vale would be considered enemies and traitors to the crown." Tommen adds.

Tyrion shook his head at this, his brother made a dumb call on this, his brother must have been clouded by his anger and prevented him from seeing how Littlefinger will somehow twist this back on them.

However his thoughts were interrupted by Tommen who spoke once again.

"He had Pycelle make sure the letter was to mention Littlefinger's betrayal to Eddard Stark, given he was fostered the Vale." His nephew says to him.

That is indeed clever, but the Vale did not aid Robb Stark in the War of the Five Kings, he doubts Lysa Arryn would hand over Littlefinger just like that.

"The Vale will deliver him uncle, Lord Varys contacted me and Joanna a few hours ago. Lord Baelish has been stealing from the crown for years to fund his brothels and saving some of it for himself." Tommen tells him while passing him a book.

Tyrion began reading the book and noticed it is Littlefinger's handwriting from what he knows.

After reading a handful of pages, he was furious the bastard has been stealing from the crown and lying about it.

"It's not all uncle, he has been having an affair with Lysa Arryn." Joanna tells him with her eyes referring to the last few pages.

Being curious Tyrion began reading the last few pages and after reading them, he was shocked to say the least.

"Robyn Arryn isn't Jon Arryn's son, he's Littlefinger bastard with Lysa Aryyn who passed him off as her husband's." He says in shock.

Tommen nods at him and walks closer to him.

"I had Pycelle send another raven of this information. Joanna believes it will lead to the Knights of the Vale to surrender them both for treason." Tommen assure him.

Tyrion smiles at them both, they are quite a team his niece and nephew, he noticed recently his nephew never goes far without Joanna, he knew their kinship was close, but he was no fool.

His nephew has developed a crush on his cousin, he began to noticed for a while, before his arrest for Joffrey's death.

Tommen's voice goes a bit higher whenever he says her name or seems to blush when she says his name, maybe he will have to talk to him alone sometime after he is pardoned by him in court.

"I take it that is not all Lord Varys told you both." Tyrion asks them both, they shake their heads.

"Lord Varys found a vial of Tears of Lys in his secret room at his main brothel." Joanna tells him.

"And Lord Varys told me of Jon Arryn was poisoned by Tears of Lys, but mother never believed him and dismissed it." Tommen adds.

After hearing, Tyrion began to think about what they just told him and all he can think of is one thing.

"They started the whole goddamn war between us and the Starks haven't they?" Tyrion looks at them both.

Joanna sadly nods a this.

"That's what Lord Varys believes too, he brought up Littlefinger's speech of 'Chaos is a ladder'." Joanna mentions.

"They are indeed correct Tyrion."

They turn to see Lord Varys standing behind them, quiet as a mouse for none heard him come in at all.

"Varys what brings you here?" Tyrion curiously asks his friend.

"I came to see how you are my friend, your brother, niece and nephew have managed to make a complete fool out of your father and sister with the information they have uncovered." Varys speaking calmly and yet Tyrion can see the grin on his face.

"And to make sure my information goes to you first, I knew Jason would over react if he knew of this information and he did tell me to report to the King first if I find anything, so I did." He also adds.

Clever shit he will have to admit.

"Thank you for this information Lord Varys. We can get true justice to all that has been done." Joanna says to him sweetly.

Making the spider smile at his niece softly.

"You are most welcome and I completely agree. Littlefinger and Lysa Arryn must suffer for their deception and all the blood their actions have spilled."
He says to them rather cryptically.

Varys leaves his chambers and walks away.

"You two should get some rest, I shall go see Jason and inform him of what we have learned." Telling his niece and nephew.

Tommen smiles at him and nods.

"Very well uncle, I am tired and I do not want to disturb uncle for he has done enough for me today. Jo', shall I walk you back to your chambers." He says to him before turning to Joanna rather too quickly.

"Ofcourse cousin, I do enjoy your company." She says to him sweetly.

Tyrion noticed his nephew's face brighten once she spoke to him.

He needs to keep an eye on this.

Deciding to ignore it for the night, he decides to go find his brother Jason.

"Uncle, I forgot to tell you. Father has moved to the Tower of the Hand." Joanna adds once she spots him leaving.

"Thank you for the heads up my niece." He says to his niece before doing as such.

"I cannot wait for Jason to hear the news they just told me." He says to himself.

Next stop, the Tower of the Hand.

Yara Greyjoy POV.

Yara stares at the view of her homeland once her ship lands on Pyke, she failed to save Theon or 'Reek' he calls himself now.

She felt like a failure for not saving him, part of her should have tried and smuggled him out of Winterfell before his men betrayed him to the Bastard of the Dreadfort.

Seeing what that beast did to her brother was sickening and heartbreaking at the same time, the reason she didn't put him out of her misery was for not being condemned as a kinslayer.

Yara knew it was just as much as her father's fault for Theon's fate, all her brother wanted was their father's recognition of him and earn his love, she wanted to tell him it was fucking useless.

The damn man still tried to become King of the Iron Islands even after what happened to them before and after the failed rebellion against King Robert Baratheon.

She still has nightmares of witnessing Jason Lannister murdering her older brothers because he couldn't get her idiot uncle Victarian, her father mocked the man even after he got his ass handed to him, is it wrong to say she wished Jason Lannister killed her father that day if it meant what her father did a year later didn't have to happen.

They knew if her uncle was returned to Pyke, Jason Lannister will wipe them all out, her father once told her.

"I am a Kraken, he is nothing more than angry cat. Not Vicatarian's fault he couldn't protect his woman.".

And yet Jason Lannister came to the Iron Islands, he could have killed them all after what her uncle did to his wife.

What he did was merciless and heartless in her eyes, instead of wiping half of what remained of the Iron Island's people.

He had his men destroy half of the resources in the Iron Islands, within months her people nearly began killing one another, had it not been for her uncle Euron, she knew her father hates his younger brother.

Her uncle returned from his exile once Jason Lannister sent her uncle Victarian's head back to Pyke, Euron used this to return to Pyke and began using the gold he claimed from his raidings to aid their people from starving to death, Euron used his gold to pay for food, ships and rebuild the Iron Islands, her father still refused to allow Euron to set foot in Pyke.

She knew ever since she was a little girl her uncle Eurn cannot be trusted.

"All of Euron's gifts are poison.".

Those were the last words her uncle Victarian told her before he was captured by Jason Lannister, Euron is more loved by the people of the Iron Islands due to it and it was the gold he used to save them.

What the Ironborn had to learn over the years was to adapt with their limited men if it meant to survive and continue their traditions.

Something her idiot father was dead set on, she missed home and at the same time, Yara hates what became of her home, for half of the crops never properly recovered from what Jason Lannister did and one of her men got word he is now the new Hand of the King and that fucking terrified her.

She knew what the man was capable of, she barely survived him herself when he tried to kill her and Theon had it not been for his own kin stopping him, Yara is a person who isn't afraid of anything.

But Jason Lannister is an exception, she is terrified of the man for what he can do, she is scared of the man and still has nightmares of his laughter when he butchered her brothers in front of her and Theon, speaking of Theon, her brother told her of his encounter with the man at Winterfell.

"Whenever I was near him. He always had to put me down and mock me in front of everyone. remind me of what a failure father and our people are. How he took pride in killing our brothers and uncle.".

Her brother only took Winterfell by sheer dumb luck and because he knew the castle like the back of his head, she warned him they won't hold it for long with the limited men he had.

Reaching for ale and downing it, she wished she could forget this stupid war.

All it did was further make her people look like jokes, losing a rebellion, losing half of their resources and having to rely on Euron to bail them out and stupidly raid the North during a war. An action that led to more loss than they did at the hands of Jason Lannister ironically, she lost half of her men to the Bolton's during the failed rescue of Theon.

The ironborn have become jokes to the rest of Westeros, part of her wanted to blame the damn Lannisters and at the same time she blamed her father.

A part of wished he died years ago, perhaps they wouldn't have lost so many men due to it.

Robert Baratheon should have killed her father when he lost the rebellion.

By the time she entered Pyke, she is greeted by her uncle Aeron who looked somber.

"Uncle what is it?" She asks him, her uncle is one who never worries.

Last she saw him this worried was when uncle Victarian was taken and this worried her greatly.

"Your father...he is dead, fell off the bridge during a storm not three days ago...we found his body mere hours ago." Aeron tells her with sadness.

Yara Greyjoy stood there, in shock and one thing came to her head.

"Fuck.".

Joanna Lannister POV.

Joanna is in her chambers with her cousin Tommen, they had decided to continue with their discussion about the crown and her new job as Master of Laws or what he called it 'Mistress of Laws', her cousin has gotten more confident since her aunt has not been putting him down or trying to use him as a puppet.

She is happy her cousin has become, they were close when they were young and once Myrcella was sent to Dorne, Tommen practically clung onto her since and the two have been best of friends since.

Seeing him truly taking his title as King has made him more mature, respected and far more liked than Joffrey, it amazed her at how they were brothers, then again people say the same with her father and uncle Jaime...and uncle Tyrion.

Seriously how the hell are they brothers, let alone her aunt Cersei being her aunt of all people.

The two of them are currently reading about the history of Westeros' greatest Kings, they are currently reading under the longest reigning King of the Seven Kingdoms, King Jaehaerys I Targaryen, who ruled for over fifty-five years and considered to be one of; it not the greatest King of the Seven Kingdoms in history.

"And he died at 103 AC." Tommen finishing the last page of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen's reign after spending hours in her chambers reading the reigns of three Targaryen King's.

Tommen has stepped up as King, she could not be proud of her cousin in such a short amount of time he has been King, Margaery better not hurt her cousin's heart for even through Margaery is her cousin, she is closer with Tommen and will choose him over Margaery in a heartbeat unfortunately.

"He was a wise King wasn't he cousin?" Tommen says to her.

Joanna nods at his question to him with a smile.

"Indeed he was, that is why he is known as 'Jaehaerys the Wise'. For he was wiser than any other King that came before and after. Perhaps you can give him a run for coin if you truly want." She says to him both truthful and in a playful manner.

Tommen smiles at her words.

"You really think so?" He nervously asks her, stammering in the process.

She didn't want to laugh, placing her hand on his and giving him a serious look.

"I know so, I believe in you Tommen. You can do anything if you put your mind to it." She says to him and she meant it.

Telling him the same thing her father told her when she was a little girl, something his own mother told him as a little boy.

Tommen's demeanor changes to a more 'Kingly' demeanor, smiling as he looked at her hand than to her.

"You have that much faith in me?" She can hear the concern in his voice.

He was still scared deep down, she didn't blame him.

"I do Tommen and I'll always be there for you." Joanna tells him in a compassionate manner to him.

"Thank you for having such faith in me...no one really has this much faith in me." He tells her honestly.

Not wanting to let go of his hand yet, she keeps her hand on his and looks directly to his face.

"You will be a great King Tommen, don't let others say otherwise. It is unfair of our family judging you while being younger than Joffrey when he was crowned King. And yet they cannot see how much potential you have to become a greater King the realm has not seen in years." She tells her cousin in a truthful manner.

Placing her other hand on his face to make him look at her, making sure she is being gentle.

"You will become a better King than the ones who came before. What makes a King great, is learning from his predecessor's mistakes and making sure he does not repeat the same mistakes. I will do everything I can to help you Tommen, as long you still see me worthy as your Master of Laws." Joanna says to Tommen with determination in her voice.

Hearing this made Tommen shed a tear, wrapping his arms around her in a hug.

"No one has put this much faith in me but you Jo', I'll promise to be the King you see in me." Tommen tells her in an emotional tone.

Joanna smiles at him, she needs to be strong for her cousin, she knew people will try and take advantage of him and she will stay strong for him.

"I'll always be here for you." She says to him sweetly.

Tommen smiles from her comment and begins staring at the window and gaze upon the sky, before he turns around and begins pouring himself some of the dornish wine Prince Oberyn gave to her cousin as a 'reward' for Gregor Clegane being handed over to his custody.

They heard his screams hours ago during their first conversation with Lord Varys, the Red Viper is truly getting justice for his sister and her children's deaths.

Tommen offers her a cup of the wine.

"Wine for the lady." He says to her in a proper gentleman voice.

She smiles at him once again, his face turned red in response.

"Thank you cousin." Joanna thanking her cousin for offering her wine.

This made him smile and poured himself a cup of wine.

"I think we deserve the night to celebrate from our busy evening." Tommen says in a loving manner.

She couldn't help but laugh this time, Tommen reminded her of their uncle Tyrion at that moment.

"You just sound alot like uncle Tyrion right there." She said to him a playful tone.

"Uncle is known to be wise." Tommen retorts to her.

Joanna let out a laugh once again, her cousin has grown a sense of humor lately.

"That he is." She adds, before the two stare at the view of the night.

"Beautiful night, isn't it Jo'." Tommen asks her in a hesitant voice.

Looking back at him than to the sky, ignore the smell of shit, it truly is a beautiful sight to see.

"It truly is.".

Drinking the wine from goblet while admiring the view.

Jaime Lannister POV.

Jaime was summoned to his father's new chambers by his uncle Kevan.

He didn't understand why his father wanted to see him in this hour, but he knew better to keep father waiting, regardless if he is no longer the Hand of the King.

While walking to his father's chambers, he comes across Tyrion's friend/mercenary Bronn of Blackwater he believed.

"Kingslayer." The man calls out to him.

"Sellsword." He spat back.

Gods he hates the name he was given for saving King's Landing from Aerys.

"Why are you here?" Jaime demanding the sellsword to answer him.

Who only looks down at where his right hand use to be than to his sword.

"Your brother has tasked me to teach you how to fight with your left hand." Bronn tells him like he was informed of it.

This only confused Jaime, why would Tyrion hire Bronn to be his new sword instructor, he'll need to talk to his little brother after he finishes having this conversation with the sellsword.

"I didn't know Tyrion hired you." Jaime tells Bronn.

Only for the sellsword to laugh at him, this was not funny.

"Wasn't Tyrion who hired me, it was your other little brother." Bronn tells him.

Why would Jason of all people would hire Bronn to teach him.

"Why?" Jaime bitterly asks the sellsword, knowing deep down he is going to regret it.

"Your brother hired me in his words 'To whip my idiot brother in shape because Ser Arthur Dayne didn't teach him how to use his other hand.' His words Kingslayer, not mine." Bronn tells him while drinking wine.

Why is he not surprised at hearing this, ofcourse his brother would mock him about his lack of sword hand and his time with the Sword of the Morning because he didn't teach him how to fight with both hands.

Pains him to admit but his little brother is right.

"Very well, when do we start." Jaime bitterly asks one again.

"Tomorrow, your brother is paying me good coin to whip you into shape. Guess I'll have to clean up the mess, Arthur Dayne made." Bronn mockingly says to him.

He is no Arthur Dayne.

"But I'll let you be Kingslayer, see you in the morning." The sellsword pats him before leaving.

Several minutes later, he finally arrives to his father's new chambers, it is smaller than he expected and he can tell from his father's expression on his face, meant he is not liking it.

"Father." He greets his father, sitting beside him is uncle Kevan.

"Jaime, you are late." His father only said.

Typical father, always criticizing, no wonder his brothers hate him.

"I had a little run in with my new training instructor my dear little brother hired." Jaime answers his reasoning for being late.

Tywin scoffs at this before drinking some wine.

"I still don't understand why Jason would hire the sellsword to be your instructor." His father admits aloud.

"We can't judge him for he is Hand of the King." Jaime answered back.

His father stopped drinking and glared at him.

"Jason will be punished for his deception of Tommen, once I return to my status as Hand of the King. I will send him and his wife to North with an army to crush the Bolton's. Than once that is over with, his daughter Joanna will marry one of Walder Frey's sons or grandchildren, you will be relieved of your duties as a Kingsguard and you will return to Casterly Rock as my heir." Tywin tells Jaime in a serious voice.

Jaime knew his father is still pissed off for losing his status.

"You really think Jason would just hand over his Hand of the King status just like that father." He replies to his father.

Tywin only glares back at him.

"Jason will know his duties." His father tells him as if he knew his brother.

For once, Jaime laughed at his father's foolish plan.

"Jason knows his duties father? Have you forgotten he has doing the opposite all his life. Need I remind you, Jason made a fool out of you and Cersei when he and Joanna uncovered it was Baelish not Tyrion who poisoned Joffrey. Have you really thought Tyrion was capable of such a thing? Or was an excuse to finally get rid of him once and for all?" Jaime snapped back at his father.

Tywin kept his calm demeanor.

Jaime didn't care so he continued.

"You keep telling yourself father, all you have done is for the greater good of our family and yet we haven't been a family since mother died." Jaime adds.

Tywin slams his hand against the table with rage in his eyes.

"Don't ever bring up your mother in front of me." Tywin roared back.

Jaime shook his head at his father.

"You were not the only one who mourned for her father. You were not the only one who lost a loved one that day." Jaime responds to his father.

Refusing to back down for once, he understood why his brother always does this.

"I said do not bring up your mother again Jaime." Tywin told his son in a stern tone.

Instead Jaime looks at his father dead in the eyes and gives him a grin.

"I shall tell the King you are planning treason father, perhaps Tommen will send you and Cersei back to Casterly Rock as punishment." Jaime tells him.

Tywin stood up from his chair and glared at him.

"Know your place Jaime." Tywin tells him as if he were a child.

Jaime looked at his father and shook his head.

"I know my place father. It's you, who doesn't." Jaime replies to his father.

Turning away and leaving his father's chambers.

Jaime knew he made a terrible mistake, but he didn't care.

He knew his place, he is Lord Commander of the Kingsguard.

If Jaime had paid attention, he would have noticed Shae coming out of Tywin's bed.

Jason Lannister POV.

"Mind if I join you brother?".

Jason turns to see Tyrion standing before him, he smiles at seeing his little brother and hugs him.

"Little brother." Jason greeting Tyrion.

The two were in an emotional embrace for a brief time before Tyrion broke it.

"Thank you for freeing me Jason, I'll never forget it." Tyrion said to his brother.

"You are welcome little brother, I told you I'll get you out. Correction it was King Tommen who freed you.". Jason tells his brother who only nods.

"That is indeed true Jason. Tyrion replies to him.

Before pouring himself some wine and sitting down on a chair.

"Father must have been livid upon Tommen naming you his new Hand of the King and Protector of the Realm." Tyrion asks his brother in a curious fashion.

Jason joins his brother and sits down on the closest chair to him, filling his goblet of wine, giving his brother a grin.

"He was livid alright little brother. Shame you were not there to see it, I swear I could feel his anger from his presence alone." Jason telling his brother how angry their father was.

Tyrion couldn't help but grin at this, Jason knew his little brother was imagining the situation and he couldn't help but feel proud of him.

"Speaking of family, Tytos will continue his squiring under you brother." Jason said to Tyrion in a calm voice, Tyrion seemed shocked of it.

"Why me?" Tyrion asked him in return.

Jason had a sad thought, he wanted Tytos to bond with Tyrion, it breaks his heart on lying to them both of their true relation, but at the same time he knew Cersei will try and go after Tytos if she couldn't get Tyrion.

Part of him is regretting he told father about it, he was too hot-headed when he told father, but at the same time he can easily use the information against father at the same time.

"Jaime did teach him with a sword quite well honestly. His time with Robb Stark and their deaths have affected him greatly, I thought you would be a good pick brother. After all you are his favorite uncle and I figure you would like to spend time with your beloved nephew." Jason tells his little brother truthfully but at the same time, watching what he said.

Tyrion smiled softly at his words, Jason knew of the bond between Tyrion and Tytos, even when Tytos was a babe, Jason always wanted Tyrion to have a role in the boy's life, it pains him to lie to his brother, but it is a lie he needs to keep for now.

"I'll be honored brother, with Podrick squiring under Brienne now, it'll be quite lonely dear brother. So ofcourse I accept, I need to maintain my image as his favorite uncle." Tyrion raises his goblet to accept his terms.

Jason did the same their cups hit one another, before drinking their wine.

"To new beginnings little brother." He cheerfully boasts.

Tyrion nods as a response.

"To new beginnings little brother."

As they keep on drinking, Jason noticed Tyrion is hiding something and chose to ask him.

"You know something and want to tell me." He asked his little brother, who nods before he speaks.

"Lord Varys has found information that points to Littlefinger doing far more than poisoning Joffrey. Turns out he made Lysa Arryn poisoned Jon Arryn, have her send a letter to her sister and pin the blame onto our house, they started the war so Littlefinger can rise in the ranks. Jon Arryn died from the Tears of Lys and Varys' little birds found a vial containing a small dose of it left inside of it.".

Soon as Tyrion said those words, Jason's blood boiled and developed a deeper hatred for the snake.

"I'll cut off that bastard's head and his whore for what they did brother." He said with such hatred in his voice.

Tyrion sighs, fuck that meant he has more to tell him.

"Jason, we also found out Littlefinger is the true of Robyn Arryn. As of now the only male heir to Jon Arryn is his great-nephew Harrold Hardyng." Tyrion adds.

Jason grabbed the wine and poured more of it into his goblet.

"I take it Tommen is aware of it." Asking if the King knew.

Tyrion answers him with a nod.

"Correct, Lord Varys reported to him first for he is the King. Tommen has requested to send another raven containing the information throughout the Vale."

Jason grinned at hearing this, he felt pride of Tommen thinking so well at an age, then again he did get his men forged copies of Tyrion's books before Joffrey cut them to pieces with Widow's Wail.

One thing is certain for Jason Lannister, he cannot wait to kill Littlefinger for his actions and who knows, he might even kill the bastard with Widow's Wail personally.

"Guess we have work don't we little brother." He says to him in a sarcastic manner, making his brother mockingly groan.

"Appears so brother, don't you just love all the work.".

The two brothers spend the rest of the night catching up and drinking two more bottles of wine.

Until Jason passed out on the floor and Tyrion passed out in table with Jason's cloak covering him up as a blanket.

Jon Snow POV.

They barely lasted the night against Mance Rayder and his army of Wildlings.

Had it not been for Stannis Baratheon and his men, the Watch would have fell and he would have died.

He is grateful Grenn and Pyp are still alive, Sam told him how he noticed the archer sooner or otherwise Pyp would've had an arrow in his throat, but Pyp got the arrow in his shoulder instead and was taken out of battle, Grenn aided Edd on defending the Wall.

Jon is happy for Sam, he showed courage in the battlefield, even if it was mainly scavenging arrows for the other archers or bolts for Pyp, even killing a Thenn warg according to Pyp who vouched for Sam.

After giving Ygritte a 'northern' funeral for her, he returned to Castle Black, her funeral reminded him of what he lost during the War of the Five Kings.

His father was wrongly executed by Joffrey, his brother Robb slain at his uncle's Wedding by Roose Bolton, Sansa forced to wed Jason Lannister according to Stannis Baratheon, Arya is presumed long dead, Bran and Rickon were butchered by Theon.

He hates the ironborn, his father was more of a father to Theon than his own father ever was, how did Theon reward Eddard Stark, by raiding his homeland and butchering his two youngest sons and being a turncloak.

In a way, Jason Lannister is right on what he told them about the ironborn.

"Never trust an ironborn Jon Snow, their word means nothing. If Greyjoy claims he is a good ironborn, remember this. There is no such thing as a good ironborn, the only good ironborn is a dead ironborn."

Jon has thoughts of killing Theon for his betrayal, along with Roose Bolton, the Freys and the Lannisters themselves for what they did to his family.

He knows, he should think like this for it is not what his father told him.

His father killed because of his beliefs, much as he wants to stay true to his father' memory and legacy, the thoughts were still there since he heard of Robb, Bran and Rickon's deaths.

He is the last living son of Eddard Stark and it pained him to think of such. He should have been there with Robb, perhaps he could have stopped him of sending Theon away and showing his true colors to their father's house.

He could have saved him from his death and avenge their father together, but he swore an oath to the Watch and knew Lady Catelyn would have used it as an excuse to finally be rid of him.

It was ironic really, Lady Stark condemned him for his status and yet he is the last one left.

He was lost in his thoughts when he noticed Sam, Grenn and Pyp open the door to his chambers.

"Jon." Sam calls out to him, making him lose his thoughts completely.

"Sam, Grenn, Pyp. What brings you three here?" Jon asks them in a shocked tone.

Sam reaches to his sleeve to reveal an envelope with the Stark direwolf stamp on in it.

"Maege Mormont is here." Sam said to him in a surprised manner, this confused Jon.

Why would the deceased Jeor Mormont and last Lord Commander of the Night's Watch's sister be here, Jon thought to himself.

Only to see Sam holding on his hand, a paper and not just any ordinary paper, he recognized the stamp contained the Stark sigil.

"She arrived an hour ago Jon. She is speaking with Stannis Baratheon and asked me to give this to you." Sam answers his question.

Jon stares at the envelope before he opens it, he knew the handwriting, it was Robb's.

'To Jon Snow.

I hope Maege Mormont has arrived to Castle Black in time to deliver this letter to you, for it is no mere letter Jon.

With the deaths of Bran and Rickon by the hands of Theon Turncloak.
Sansa has been disinherited of the North for her marriage to Jason Lannister.
No one has heard of Arya since father's arrest and is presumed dead sadly.
Leaving you brother as the last of our House besides myself.

If I were to fall in battle and my wife Talisa is unable to give me an heir.
I hereby name you, my heir.

You are no longer Jon Snow.
You are now Jon of House Stark.
With this letter, you are to be pardoned from the Night's Watch.

Maege Mormont will discuss it more with you in person.

Signed by Robb of House Stark. King in the North and of the Trident.

Signed witnesses: Lord Edmure Tully. Ser Brynden Tully. Galbart Glover. Jason Mallister. Maege Mormont. Lord Jon Umber.'

Jon was speechless of the letter, his brother legitimized him a Stark and to be his heir.

He quickly sat down in shock of the letter has impacted him, dropping the letter in the process.

Of which Sam picked up and read it, Jon didn't pay attention to his friend reading the letter aloud or Grenn and Pyp's reaction to the letter after Sam read it.

"You know what this means Jon." Sam calls out to him.

Jon looks at his friend with tears streaming down his face.

"All my life, I wanted to be named Jon Stark, but never like this." Jon admits sadly to them.

Still looking distraught upon reading the letter, it was like a ghost speaking to him from beyond the grave.

Sam thought otherwise and places his hand on his shoulders.

"Don't you see Jon. You have a chance to be pardoned from the Wall and get justice for your father." He pleads to him.

Jon shook his head at this, he swore an oath to the Wall.

"I swore an oath to the Night's Watch." He tries to reason them.

Only for Grenn to spit at the floor.

"Fuck the oath, those Lannisters killed your brother at a wedding." Grenn yelled out to Jon.

His friend yelling at him, Pyp took a step forward and agrees with Grenn.

"He's right Jon, they killed your brother and father. You almost left the Night's Watch to avenge your father didn't you." Pyp adds, while mentioning him nearly deserting.

Jon noticed the smile on Sam's face for Pyp speaking up, only to turn to dread.

"You are not safe here anymore Jon, Thorne and Slynt will try and kill you." Sam said truthfully.

Something Grenn has agreed with.

"They see you as an enemy now, they are afraid of you and will use that to turn more against you. Show this letter to Maester Aemon, he will tell you the same thing." Sam pleading him to leave.

Jon got up from his chair and grabs the letter, walking out of him chambers.

Before leaving his room, he looks back at them with a soft smile.

"Thank you.".

It took him time to see Maester Aemon, but he does eventually find the maester.

Spotting Gilly and little Sam are with the maester, keeping him busy, Gilly soon spots him and calls out to him.

"Jon." She greets him, Jon noticed Aemon smiling softly at him.

"What brings you here Jon Snow?" Aemon wanting to know why he is here.

Jon took a deep breath and turns to Gilly.

"I need to speak to the maester alone Gilly, Sam is in my quarters if you want to see him." He tells her softly, not wanting to scare the poor girl.

Gilly understood, picking up little Sam and departing the maester's room.

After a few moments of silence, Jon finally spoke up.

"Maester, I came to you for I am conflicted. I have received a letter recently, my brother Robb Stark." Jon began telling the maester.

The elderly man's ear twitched at his voice, Aemon looked sad as if he knew what he were going to say.

"I am sorry for your loss Jon Snow. From what you told me of him, he must have been a good man." Aemon sincerely says to him.

He always enjoyed the old man's company, he had wisdom in him that many have not seen.

"In his letter, contained a will. With the death of my brothers Bran and Rickon, Robb legitimize me as a Stark. Even pardoning from the Night's Watch." Jon somberly said to Aemon.

The maester took his time to process the words he just told him, Aemon let out a soft sigh before speaking.

"I take it, your brother wrote it before his death at the Red Wedding." Aemon e

but I have sworn an oath to the Watch, Sam, Grenn Pyp believe I should take the offer for I am no longer safe here. I need your advice Aemon." Jon pleading out to the elderly man as if he were his grandson.

Aemon gave him the same look as Sam did upon reading the letter.

"They are right. You are no longer safe here, Thorne will do his best to undermine you or gods forbid to kill you with Slynt. I'll tell you what I told my brother Egg all those years ago when he was crowned King 'Kill the boy and let the man be born.' Jon Stark.".

The maester's words seem to have gotten to him deeply, the maester was speaking out of experience, Jon took a deep breath, before he can even speak, Aemon spoke once again.

"You have a chance to avenge your family for what happened to them Jon. What they did to your father was dishonorable. What they did to your brother, his wife and unborn child at that wedding was cowardly, breaking guest right is an insult to the gods. Unite the Seven Kingdoms with Stannis Baratheon, get justice to those who wronged your father's house and untie the realm from the greater threat."

Aemon says to him out of his heart, the elderly man is pleading him to leave out of fear for his life, and this broke Jon's heart, but he knew the maester is right in the end.

"Thank you Maester Aemon. I'll remember your advice in the wars to come." Standing up from his chair and leaving the maester's office.

It took him time, but he did find Stannis Baratheon, he is talking to Maege Mormont, Ser Davos Seaworth and Melisandre the red priestess.

Ser Davos taps Stannis' shoulder and points out to him walking.

"Your grace." He greets King Stannis, who nods at his manners.

Maege Mormont looks at him as if he was his father and remembers he is Robb's heir.

"Lady Mormont has told me of the will Robb Stark left for you, she is loyal to her King. I shall respect her for that, now tell me have you accepted the letter."

Stannis demanding him to respond back to him, he gives him the letter.

"I have your grace, I am the last living son of Eddard Stark." He tells him honestly.

The King is reading the letter and turns to Maege Mormont.

"Your brother was smart on having his witnesses sign this will as proof of them being there. However the Kingdom of the North is no more, the North is run by the traitorous oathbreaker Roose Bolton, the North will not rally behind me unless I have a Stark by my side. Bend the knee to me, I shall truly name you Jon Stark, Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North. Together, we shall have justice for my brother Robert Baratheon, your father Eddard Stark and your brother Robb Stark.".

Jon heard the King's words, he knew Stannis is right, the North is now under rule by the Boltons and the North will not follow Stannis unless he has a Stark at his side, Stannis is offering him justice for his family's deaths at the hands of the Lannisters. The wolf within him wants blood for blood, and blood he will have, he will do it for father, Bran, Rickon, Arya and Robb, he will bend the knee if it means getting justice for them.

'The North Remembers'.

"I accept your terms." Kneeling to Stannis Baratheon.

The King brings out his sword and the blade taps both of his shoulders, like he were knighting him.

"I, Stannis of House Baratheon, King of the Seven Kingdoms name you Jon Stark, Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North." Stannis says aloud.

Jon could see Maege Mormont giving him a proud look, he chose wisely, spotting Davos Seaworth give him a nod of approval and Lady Melisandre is just staring at him oddly.

His thoughts stop once Stannis calls out to him.

"Now rise, Lord Stark".

The End of Chapter 5.

Hope everyone liked this chapter, sorry it took a while to finish.

Lost my original chapter 5 when I accidentally erased it on doc manager and had to restart it from scratch.

Any of you wondering, yes I did keep Grenn and Pyp alive, they did survive in the books and I wanted to do that, plus didn't want Sam to be left alone at Castle Black, plus for a call back to season 1 when the three of them stopped Jon from leaving the Watch to join Robb.
Only for them this time, they somewhat convince him to leave the Watch and get justice for his family.

I was planning to end Jon's POV when he leaves to meet Aemon, only to change my mind last minute and thought to end it with him agreeing to join Stannis.

Jason indirectly inspired Jon's inner hatred for Theon to grow once he heard of his betrayal to Robb, being the major reason of Jon joining Stannis and it's coming back to bite Jason once they come south.

Tywin plans to regain power he lost, Jaime plans to Tommen of said plan.

Jason and Tyrion bonding after the latter is set free, Jason having Tytos continue his squiring under Tyrion is something I could picture Jason do as a means for Tyrion to bond with his 'nephew'.

Tommen is beginning to rely on Joanna more and it will come to play later on.

Chapter 6 will be released either sunday night or monday morning.

Answering reviews or in this case, just the one.

Bella-swan11: Like what you are thinking with this story and who knows, things might go that way.
I don't think Jason will find out of Olenna's involvement until it is too late, but when he does find out, Jason might overreact once he learns of her involvement.
Right now, he wants to kill LF for framing Tyrion, he doesn't care if LF killed Joffrey with Olenna's help.
Speaking of Shae, she had a somewhat cameo in this chapter and will be dealt with in Chapter 6.

Again thanks for liking Chapter 5.

Chapter 6 will be shorter and the POV's for that chapter will be.

Jaime Lannister.

Tytos Lannister.

Jason Lannister.

Davos Seaworth.

Jon Stark.
