Journey Through Remnant

Chapter 1: A New World

Early Morning, Somewhere in Vale

Opening his eyes, he became aware of his current situation. Lying in the middle of a grimy alleyway was not something the traveler would expect when the Worlds were reset. Getting up, he made sure he had all his essentials. Clothes? Check. His camera? Check. The Neo DecaDriver? Check.

As he exited the alley, he noticed several different about this new world. High in the sky, the moon was shattered, that was something new. In all his years travelling through the many Rider Worlds, none of them had a shattered moon. With nothing else to do, the traveler decide to wander about, taking in his surroundings.

Walking around in this new city while also taking some pictures with his camera, he tried to remember what happened before this. The 20 Rider Worlds had been fused into one by Swartz, the battle against Another Zi-O II, his power as Decade were stolen, the RideWatches breaking and the histories of the Kamen Riders crashing down all at once, him getting his powers back from the young Demon King of Time, the plan to defeat Swartz, Zi-O becoming Oma Zi-O, resetting the Worlds and separating them again.

Lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice the two teenagers ahead of him, chattering with each other. Bumping into one of them, he came out of his trance. The traveler glanced at them for a moment and noticed that one of them, a blonde of about 17 years of age, had a monkey tail. He must have spend a bit more time staring at the tail than he thought as the teen the tail was attached to suddenly spoke to him.

"What? First time seeing a monkey Faunus?" The blonde asked with a slight amused tone and a small smirk on his face. The traveler took a look at the blonde and his companion. The blonde was wearing a white shirt that showed his well-build chest as well as some black pants. Oddly, the teen had bo staff hanging on his back. His companion on the other hand, had blue hair and some goggles. The blue-head was wearing some clothes that the traveler was 50% sure he once wore a long time ago, maybe. Curiously, the blue-head had some sort of rifle strapped to his back, the traveler couldn't really see much of it from his point of view.

"Hello? Anybody in there?" The blonde said, gaining his attention. "I'm Sun, this guy's Neptune" He introduced.

"Seen anyone commit any crimes around here?" Neptune interjected, "We're a pair of junior detective and are out to capture some bad guys!" The duo took out a pair of gold badges, VPD labelled on it with the words Vale Police Department engraved below the insignia.

'Vale? That's what the city's called?' The traveler thought.

"So, good sir, seen anything to report?" Sun interrupted his thoughts, somewhat hopefully. 'The two must be bored and looking for something to do'

"I don't think he wants to talk to us." Neptune whispered to his partner, though not quietly enough for the traveler to hear. "You got a name?" The blue-haired teen asked.

Thinking for a second on whether or not he should tell them his name, he though that there was no harm in telling them.

"Tsukasa Kadoya, and no, I haven't seen anything weird" the traveler spoke for the first time since waking up in this new world and walked away, leaving the two junior detective.

Having spent most of the morning wandering the city, Tsukasa decide to take a small break and sat down on a bench in a courtyard. There were some families having a day out nearby. Without thinking, Tsukasa took out a his RideBooker and got out a deck of cards. Shuffling through the cards, he spent some time glancing at the armoured heroes depicted on each card.

Yuusuke, Shouichi, Shinji and more up until the Demon King Sougo Tokiwa. Meeting each of them and helping them grow as Kamen Riders, that was his role in the Multiverse. At the end of the deck, Tsukasa realized that he had a new Rider Card. The Rider depicted on the card was grayed out and had a grasshopper themed suit. That wasn't new to Tsukasa, most Riders had some sort of bug-theme to their suits.

'Kamen Rider Zero-One' Tsukasa read the name of the new Rider. 'Maybe that's the Rider of this World' he thought for a second before realising something was off.

Normally, everytime he entered a new world, he would gain some knowledge of it as well as his clothes changing to match his role in the world. Looking down at what he was wearing, he realized that he was wearing the same clothes as he did in the World of Zi-O. Thinking about it more, he also realized that he knew absolutely nothing about this new world, only knowing the city he's in thanks to Sun and Neptune's badges.

"What's going on?" Tsukasa mumbled to himself and stored his Rider Cards back in the RideBooker.

Before he could think more about his situation, Tsukasa heard something odd. It was faint, but he was sure that he could hear a train. 'There's no train tracks nearby, so it must be below ground' He thought to himself. Tsukasa stood up and was about to leave the place when the situation escalated.

A loud explosion rang out and the ground in the centre of the courtyard collapsed. The train Tsukasa thought he heard came out of the hole with some people being thrown off it. As the people panicked and ran away, Tsukasa wondered if this was why he's in this world. Without any worries, he approached the derailed train and the four unconscious people that came with it.

But before he could get near it, something came out of the ground. Several large black masses of flesh slowly climbed out of the hole. Some of them were wolf-like, some were like boars, and more types of animals. All of them were pitch black in colour as well as having bone-like armour and having blood red eyes, these weird animals began to attack the fleeing civilians.

Without thinking, he ran towards one of the black wolves that was trying to chase a small family. Tsukasa, somewhat stupidly, slammed his body against it right before it could sink its fangs in the family. With the wolf's attention on him, he knew it was time to transform.

Tsukasa took out his Neo DecaDriver, a magenta and black coloured belt buckle with the symbols of the other 18 Heisei Riders excluding Zi-O surrounding a circular glassed center, and put it on his waist. A strap came out of the side of the Neo DecaDriver and wrapped around his waist. The RideBooker, a thick metallic white box with a small cylinder on one of its side, with a a black stripe and a symbol of a barcode-like mask in the stripe. Opening it by pulling the sides of the Driver, the central part of it turned clockwise and a slot revealed itself.

Taking out one of his Rider Cards, this one depicting the figure of a magenta Rider with the helmet having green visors and five black 'cards' sticking out of it, a yellow gem in the centre card, and the words Masked Rider Decade, he said the magic words.

"Henshin!"

Tsukasa flipped the card and inserted the card into the slot in his Driver, the barcode symbol seen through the glass in the centre, and closed it back, a hologram manifesting in front of the Driver displaying the name of the Kamen Rider and announcing it.

KAMEN RIDE: DECADE

Before the black wolf could attack him, several shadowy translucent figure appeared around Tsukasa and converged on him, a full-bodied armour materialising on him. The armour had a 'X' shaped black line with thick white outlines along its right shoulder pad to its chestpiece. The suit itself was a bit bulky and was black and grey

in colour along with some white on its inner legs and arms, except for the green visors.

Several 'cards' came came out of the Neo DecaDriver and flew towards Tsukasa's head, attaching itself to the helmet and forming its horns. The yellow gem glowed for a second before magenta coloured the suit, between the horns on his head, the shoulder pads and outer legs, arms and chest.

Standing in the centre of the Breach, gaining the attention of most of the retreating civilians, was the Destroyer of Worlds known as Kamen Rider Decade.
