I just came up with this idea on 6/18/20.

In an abandoned mansion, in a small town of survivors, was the Brotherhood of Mutants. Or rather, what was left of them, that is.

The members now only consisted of Pyro, Juggernaut (the badass one from Deadpool 2), Riptide, Toad, Domino, Chainsaw, and their youngest member, Ezra Bridger (to be explained in a later chapter. The Brotherhood had been charged with informing the town in case Sentinel carriers came around, and if any Sentinels were sent in.

Currently, the team was minding their own business. Toad and Domino were currently keeping an eye out for Carriers. As Toad looked to the north, he saw something that caught his eye. He zoomed in on the object, and saw a Carrier release 5 Sentinels, all heading for the town.

"They're here, and they're coming straight for the town!" Toad called out to Domino.

Domino nodded and activated the siren that let the whole town know that Sentinels were here. She and Toad then ran downstairs to the living room to warn the rest of the team.

Meanwhile, the team was getting ready for anything that might happen. Pyro was checking his dual flame throwers for any kinks, and if ensuring his fuel tanks had enough fuel in them. Riptide was working on ensuring his suit allowed him to be mobile. Ezra was making adjustments to his sling blaster, adding a kill function to it. Juggernaut and Chainsaw were lifting weights to increase their strength.

Just then, Toad and Domino rushed downstairs, urgent looks on their faces. Domino had her pistols drawn, and Toad had his daggers ready.

"Time's up!" Domino called out.

"Sentinels!" Toad told them.

Everyone got onto their feet, ready for battle. Pyro attached his flamethrowers to his wrists and strapped his fuel tanks onto his back. Riptide pulled up his sleeves. Ezra pulled out his machine blaster and put away his sling blaster. Juggernaut put on his helmet and latched it on tightly. And Chainsaw unsheathed all his blades.

"John, try to keep the fighting here!" Chainsaw commanded. "Me and Ezra are gonna get the civies to safety!"

"Right!" Pyro replied.

"Kid, let's go!" Chainsaw said to Ezra.

He and Ezra ran out to the civilians to evacuate them, passing by a memorial wall honoring all those who had fallen fighting the silent monsters known as the Sentinels.

Back at the mansion, the rest of the Brotherhood stood ready to fight and looked on as five fists began busting through the walls. Juggernaut put on his brass knuckles, and Pyro took that as his que to get two small flames ready. Finally, one Sentinel broke through the ceiling, and landed in front of Pyro.

"RAHHH!" Pyro yelled as he unleashed a large volley of fire upon the Sentinel.

Another Sentinel burst through the roof, landing in front of Juggernaut. The Unstoppable mutant charged forward, but was knocked onto the ground with a single punch. As the Sentinel began picking Juggernaut up by his head, Toad jumped onto the Sentinel and stabbed it in the neck with one of his daggers. The Sentinel threw Toad off, allowing Juggernaut to get back up and uppercut the Sentinel.

Meanwhile, Chainsaw and Ezra had almost reached the front door, when a third Sentinel burst through the ground, blocking the duo's path. It faced them, only to be hit in the face with a shot from Ezra's blaster. Though part of its face came off, it turned to glare angrily at them. Before it could attack them, Domino threw a grenade that knocked it out of the duo's way, allowing them to continue onto the front door. The Sentinel recovered, and began chasing the duo. Up top, Domino was about to fire upon the Sentinel with a grenade launcher, but was approached by Riptide. After seeing the look on his face, Domino nodded and went to go try and find one of the other two Sentinels.

Riptide jumped off the upper floor, and created a tornado for him to ride on. As he passed by his two comrades, he and Ezra looked at each other. Ezra had a worried look on his face, but Riptide's determined look in the face of death reassured him. Eventually, Chainsaw and Ezra made it outside, and began guiding the civilians away from the town, not aware that the Brotherhood was the Sentinels only target, and the other two Sentinels were there to help bring down Juggernaut.

Back inside, Riptide charged at the Sentinel, and sent two tornadoes at it, narrowly avoiding a punch. Meanwhile, Juggernaut charged at the Sentinel that landed in front of him and threw punch at it. Only for the Sentinel to catch it, then twist his arm.

"AGH!" Juggernaut yelled out painfully, before looking on hopelessly at the Sentinel.

As the Sentinel glared at him, it turned into a metal substance similar to the one Colossus turned into.

Meanwhile, Pyro continued to hold back the Sentinel that landed in front of him. As he continued unleashing fire upon it, the Sentinel turned itself into ice, and pressed forward.

With Riptide, the wind mutant was still pinning the Sentinel that chased after Chainsaw and Ezra to the wall. Unfortunately, it activated its large angelic like wings, and began to dissipate the tornadoes.

Back with Juggernaut, Cain could only watch in horror as the Sentinel punched him so hard, denting his helmet but also using its arm holding Juggy's fist to break Cain's arm. Knowing he couldn't fight with his helmet dented, Juggernaut unlatched his helmet and began removing it, unaware that the other two Sentinels burst through the wall. As Juggernaut removed his helmet, the first Sentinel opened the top of its head as a small satellite dish popped out and aimed at Juggernaut. The Sentinel activated the mental attack, dialing it up to the highest setting, causing Juggernaut to clutch his head in pain, desperately trying to resist it. The other Sentinels joined in, dialing their mental attacks up to the highest setting.

"AGHHHHH!" Juggernaut yelled in agony. The last thing Juggernaut saw before the deadly mental attack killed him, was the ceiling. Juggernaut eventually succumbed to the deadly mental attack, dying right on the spot.

Back to Pyro, the Sentinel had finally reached him, and grabbed him by the neck. As Pyro tried to use the fire he had already unleashed to try and free himself, the Sentinel clutched tighter, inducing hypothermia on his throat.

Meanwhile, with Riptide, the Sentinel finally grabbed the mutant by the head, and tightened its grip. It then forced Riptide to look at it, almost like it wanted to watch the light leave his eyes.

Back to Pyro, as he began to succumb to the hypothermia, the flames around him and the Sentinel began to die down. After the flames had all died down, Pyro finally went limp. The Sentinel dropped his lifeless body, then walked away.

Meanwhile, with Riptide, the Sentinel slammed Riptide against a pillar, before impaling him on the horns of a rhino head. Riptide coughed up blood, and watched as the Sentinel left, no doubt to help look for Toad, Domino (if they were still alive, that is), Chainsaw, and Ezra (if they hadn't already left with the townsfolk, that is).

Meanwhile, Toad was currently engaged with the 4th Sentinel, and had just jumped on top of it. Toad began stabbing the Sentinel with his daggers, but the silent monster eventually grabbed him, and threw him to the ground, stunning him. The Sentinel turned its arm into a lance, and tried to stab him. Before it could, however, Domino threw her pushback grenade at it, putting some distance between it and Toad. As she helped her comrade up, the Sentinel got back up and stabbed Domino from behind with its lance.

"Dom!" Toad exclaimed in anguish, slowly lowering her to the ground as she died. "No, no..."

Tears fell from his eyes as they gently caressed each others faces. As the life faded from Domino's eyes, all five Sentinels approached, ready to kill Toad. Toad finally let go of Domino, and got up, glaring angrily at them. He pulled his daggers out, as the Sentinel that killed Domino opened up its face, ready to fire.

"RAHHH!" Toad shouted, jumping at the Sentinel, only to be blasted by it. As he was blasted back by the extremely hot beam of fire, Toad hit the wall with a sickening crack, falling to the floor, lifeless. The five Sentinels then began following after Chainsaw and Ezra, the last two members of the Brotherhood.

Meanwhile, back with the last two members of the Brotherhood, Chainsaw and Ezra had made sure that all the townsfolk had made it into the cavern inside the mountain, so that the duo could hold off the Sentinels. After sealing the entrance to the cavern, Chainsaw turned to Ezra.

"Listen, kid, I don't know how to tell ya this, but I'm sendin' ya back to yer own universe," Chainsaw told Ezra.

"What?" Ezra exclaimed. "Why?"

"Kid, whether you and I wanna admit it or not, this fight's gonna end in a large majority of the Brotherhood being killed and only me and Cain being captured, as we're not easy to kill," Chainsaw replied calmly, trying to hide the pain he was already feeling. "Even if you get away from them, you're not ready to fight them on yer own."

"But I can help!" Ezra complained. "Those things slaughtered my parents, in much more brutal ways than what the Empire would've done to them! I've gotta make them pay, you have to let me make them pay!"

"And then what, let them slaughter you just so you can be with your family again?!" Chainsaw pointed out. "That's suicide, kid, and you know it!"

"But-!" Ezra tried to counter, fighting back tears.

"But nothin', kid!" Chainsaw shouted back, before calming himself. "You gotta get back to yer own universe so you can get stronger to face these things by yourself. 'Sides, someone's gotta bust me and Cain out."

Ezra considered this for a moment, before silently agreeing. Just then, they heard jet engines and looked to see the five Sentinels emerging from the mansion.

"Team's down, let's go!" Chainsaw called out. "The rift's up the mountain!"

"Got it!" Ezra replied.

Together, Chainsaw and Ezra began running up the mountain. Chainsaw stopped for a moment, then cupped his hands over his mouth, and shouted for the Sentinels.

"Hey, rustasses!" he called out, whistling to get their attention. "We're over here!"

The Sentinels picked up on his voice and turned toward his direction, seeing him wave his arms at them as he began to follow after Ezra again.

"Come on, you steampunk sons o' bitches!" Chainsaw continued calling out. "Come on! Come on!"

The Sentinels began to fly towards the two last BoM members. Once they were in range, they began firing upon them, but thankfully the duo managed to dodge them.

Later, at the mountain's summit, Chainsaw and Ezra finally arrived at the rift. As Ezra stared at it, Chainsaw turned to be ready to face off against the Sentinels.

"How do you know it goes to my universe?" Ezra asked.

"It only had 3 trips in it," Chainsaw replied. "We found this out by testing it out on Mortimer."

"Yeah, that does sound like something you guys would do to Toad," Ezra commented nonchalantly, before adopting a quizzical look on his face. "How did you know it only had three trips in it?"

"Since they first appeared, I've been studying them," Chainsaw replied. "I theorized that its bright flashes signaled by them were signals of how many tips they allowed. I tested my theory out on other rifts, and as I gained more and more information, my theory was starting to be proved correct. I found on before this one that went to your universe, it only allowed two trips. After I arrived there, and then returned, the rift disappeared and it was never seen again. After we found another one, this one to be precise, we saw it signaling three times, so I deduced that it only allowed three trips. We had Toad go in and come back, just to make sure there was only one trip left in it... We had to ensure that you were the one that made that trip."

"But when I come back, how will I be able to find you and Cain?" Ezra asked.

"I injected the whole team with nanobots that can allow us to track each other," Chainsaw replied, handing Ezra a tracking device. "When you get back, use that to track me and Cain down. Turn it on, type in one of our names, and not even one those underground facilities will be able to hide us from that."

"I thought you said you were a science teacher?" Ezra questioned, marveling (pun intended) at the amazing craftsmanship of the tech.

"Well, I did work for Tony Stark at one point, but then Weapon X happened, so I had no choice but to quit," Chainsaw admitted.

"Hey, see you later," Ezra said, holding out his hand to shake his father figure's hand.

What happened next, Ezra had not expected. Chainsaw grabbed the youngest member and wrapped him in a tight hug, allowing his tears to silently flow. Without questioning it much, Ezra hugged him back.

"I'm gonna miss you, Charles," Ezra said sadly.

"And I'm gonna miss you, kid," Chainsaw replied, his voice breaking.

Once they finally let go, Ezra rushed into the rift. Once he had gone in, the rift disappeared for good. Once it had, Chainsaw turned to the entrance of the cave, unsheathed all his blades, and charged to meet an oncoming Sentinel in battle. The Sentinel turned its arm into its lance and charged as well. As the music built up, the two lunged at each other in slow motion, and screen turned black, ending this prologue.

This will be slightly AU where Chainsaw ends up in 4 years before Season even begins and he is found and guided to society by the Oracion Seis of all people.
