I've been working on this idea for a while. One thing I've always wanted to see in Beastars is Haru interacting with the 701 boys. We got a brief moment of Jack giving her Legoshi's address, but that's it. I wanted more, so I decided on this nice little slice of life fic. It has good boys playing fetch, good boys eating mochi, and good boys simply being good boys. There are some quick references to the current arc, but nothing overly specific.
Enjoy!
The weather was cloudy and pleasantly cool, but with little chance of rain. As far as the canines of room 701 were concerned, the conditions were perfect for a day out. They walked down the sidewalk, tails wagging, tongues lolling as they talked about where they would go first after picking up a certain grey wolf.
"We should go to the park and play fetch!" Jack suggested.
"But won't one of us have to throw?" Durham grumbled. "I hate throwing."
"We can take turns," Miguno pointed out.
"Yeah, but we're terrible at taking turns once we get going," Collot reminded them. "No one ever wants to stop chasing."
"Hey, we should probably cross the street," Voss cut in. "There's a rabbit in front of us."
The others paused in their conversation and looked further down the sidewalk. There was indeed a rabbit walking in the same direction they were going. Crossing the street was the best option. Any herbivore would get nervous if an entire pack of canines was walking after them.
Just as they were about to cross, however, Jack noticed the small stature and pure white fur of the rabbit in question.
"Haru!" he called. "Good afternoon!"
Haru turned around, starting slightly, then relaxed and waved back. "Hello, Jack!" She walked back down the sidewalk, fearlessly looking up at the five canines as she approached. "How are you?"
"Fine, thanks." Jack was aware of the excited, tense energy radiating off of his friends, who were barely able to keep from leaping forward to investigate their friend's mysterious girlfriend. "Were you on your way to Legoshi's apartment?"
"I was," Haru replied. "I remembered that he has the day off, and thought I'd surprise him." She paused to take in the pack in front of her, realizing that she had only ever met Jack officially. "Are you all going there too?"
"Yeah, we arranged to meet him today," Jack said.
"Oh!" Haru's ears drooped. "I'm sorry. If that's the case, I wouldn't want to intrude."
"Why don't you join us?" Collot blurted out.
Everyone turned to stare at him for a moment. Then, five tails started wagging as the 701 boys quickly warmed up to the thought.
"Ooh, great idea!" Miguno said eagerly.
"Yeah!" Durham flashed a grin. "I've been wanting to meet the rabbit who claimed our Legoshi's gentle, virgin heart."
"If these guys walk too fast for you," Voss called down. "Collot's got another shoulder. You can ride up here with me."
"Hey, what are you doing offering my shoulder?" Collot growled, reaching up to ruffle the fennec's ears.
"What, you're too weak to carry a fennec and a dwarf rabbit?" Miguno teased.
Haru hesitated, her ears flicking nervously.
Jack noticed the look on Haru's face. "Ah! You don't have to feel pressured, or anything," he hurried to say, holding up his hands. "We really want to get to know you, but it's fine if you want to take a raincheck."
"Oh, right. Definitely," Collot quickly backtracked, also noticing the unsure flicker in Haru's eyes. The others were also quick to reassure her that there was no pressure.
Haru was hesitant, but not for the reasons these canines probably thought. She wasn't afraid of them. After all she had done and seen, she was long past being scared of a pack of canines in broad daylight. Besides, Legoshi spoke highly of all of them, and she trusted his word.
No, her feelings were coming more from a place of insecurity. Old habits and reactions threatened to rear their ugly heads as the five canines smiled down at her. What if they pitied her? What if they were just trying to be polite?
Thankfully, she was able to beat down her usual defensive response. Instead of shutting down, she remembered what Legoshi had told her: "Canines smile a lot. You can't just go by their faces. You gotta pay attention to their ears and tails to know what they're really thinking."
If they didn't actually want Haru to join them and were just being polite, their grins would be forced and still. Their ears and tails would also be stiff, as they'd be consciously trying to not look unwelcoming by letting their tails go between their legs or allowing their ears to flatten. If they didn't care one way or the other, their postures would be relaxed, and their tails would be lazily swishing back and forth.
In that moment, all of their ears were eagerly perked forward, and their tails were lashing like the windshield wipers on a car. It looks like they actually want me to come, Haru concluded.
Out loud, she said: "I'd be happy to join you, if you really don't mind." She felt a smile coming to her face as their tails started wagging harder, creating a noticeable breeze.
"I'm fine to walk," she added as Collot offered his hand. "Thank you, but I'm used to keeping up with long strides."
As they walked, everyone formally introduced themselves. Haru knew who they all were, but it was nice to finally see them in person.
"So, tell us about how you and Legoshi met," Durham prompted.
"Well, we…ran into each other on campus a few times," Haru started slowly, heavily glossing over the rough start of her and Legoshi's story. "But we met officially when the drama club needed roses for their performance. Legoshi was the one they sent, and I was the only one in the gardening club at the time. We started talking more and got closer. I ended up falling for him after he saved me from the Shishigumi."
"That was you?" Collot gasped. "Legoshi never told us that!"
"Legoshi was your white knight, then?" Miguno chuckled. "This is all straight from a storybook."
"I think it's nice!" Jack said with a bright grin. "Legoshi's tail hardly ever wagged before he met you."
"Is that so?" Haru smiled, though she couldn't help but think back. He was always so weird and pensive during those first few months. Was he seriously even sadder before?!
"I noticed that too," Collot said. "Though, to be fair, it feels like we hardly ever saw Legoshi after the Meteor Festival. He was always sneaking off somewhere."
"I heard he was getting into fights in the back-alley market," Durham cut in. "Maybe Haru here was recruiting him into a secret vigilante circle!"
Haru shook her head. "Honestly, I was in the dark about most of what he was doing as well." At least it wasn't just me who didn't know.
"Lame," Miguno sighed.
"What I meant was," Haru said smoothly, a smirk coming to her face. "If I told you the actual truth, I'd have to kill you."
The five stared at her for a beat, then burst out laughing. Miguno's high cackle hit the air like a thunderclap. Collot and Jack let out short barks of mirth. Durham had a deeper, throaty chuckle while Voss snickered softly.
Haru found herself giggling along with them, skipping a little as she easily kept up with their quick pace. They're so easygoing, she mused. I can see why they get along with Legoshi. She had often heard that more extroverted creatures made good friends to shy, introverted ones.
"Hey, Legoshi!" Jack called as he caught sight of his best friend waiting outside the apartment building. "Look who we found!"
Legoshi started to run toward his friends, then stopped short when he saw Haru walking with them. "Haru! Did I accidentally arrange to meet all of you today?" His friends gathered around him, sniffing excitedly. He took in their scents quickly, still looking inquisitively at his girlfriend.
"No, I just thought I'd surprise you," Haru explained. "Collot suggested that I join you." Her ears flicked as she noticed the nervous expression on her boyfriend's face. "Should I maybe come back another time?"
"N-No, it's not that! It's just…" Legoshi glanced at his friends, then knelt down so he was at Haru's eye-level. "They haven't…told you any embarrassing stories about me, have they?" He knew that Jack was trustworthy but was sure that Durham and Miguno would be especially eager to use this day as an opportunity to mess with him.
Haru took in Legoshi's tense expression, unable to keep a small laugh from escaping at how serious he looked. "No, but that's a good idea! I should've thought of that on the way here."
"Ooh!" Miguno piped up. "Legoshi, does she know about how you and Collot always wear each other's und-MMPH!" He let out a muffled yelp as Legoshi lunged at him, wordlessly clamping his hand around his muzzle.
"Whoa, easy man!" Durham tapped Legoshi's shoulder. "Don't break his snout."
Legoshi loosened his grip, but didn't let go, giving Miguno a firm glare.
Miguno sighed, letting his ears droop and his stance relax. This was enough for Legoshi to release him. "Ow. I think my teeth were stuck together for a sec." He ran his tongue over his gums.
Haru walked over to Legoshi and took his hand. "No need to kill anyone, hon. You should know by now that literally nothing will surprise me."
Collot tapped his chin. "So, Haru is the one with all the really good stories," he mused.
Legoshi's fur bristled nervously.
Jack was quick to come to the rescue. "Hey, we're just messing around. No one's telling any embarrassing stories, right?" He glanced at everyone. "We're just gonna hang out and have fun. How does fetch in the park sound?"
Immediately, Legoshi's stiff tail started wagging, though he glanced at Haru with some concern. "Haru might not be able to keep up with us."
Haru shrugged. "I don't need to run. I can throw the ball." All heads snapped in her direction. She froze, wondering if she had said the wrong thing. "Uh, that's the point of the game, right?"
"You're volunteering to be the thrower…?" Jack gasped softly.
"Such a generous soul," Collot sighed.
"You really did pick a winner, Legoshi." Durham's voice was tinged with awe.
"Haru, you are truly wonderful," Legoshi murmured.
Haru's ears drooped as she stared at the disconcertedly earnest faces of the six grateful canines in front of her. What exactly did I get myself into?
…..
After only ten minutes of fetch, Haru was convinced that it was entirely within her power to dominate the whole canine population. She didn't know why or how, but the simple throwing of a ball was all it took to turn six young adults into a pack of excitable puppies whose eyes were on Haru's every move.
Jack stumbled as he reached the spot she had picked on top of a tall tree stump, panting as he held out the ball. "I got it! Take it!"
Haru took the ball from his hand, tugging a little to remind him to actually let go of it. "Look at how quickly you brought it back!" she praised, grinning as her words caused Jack's tail to resemble a helicopter.
"Throw it again!" Durham shouted.
"Quit stalling!" Collot barked.
Legoshi was silent, though his tail was lashing back and forth with excitement.
"Okay, ready? Now!" Haru wound back and threw the ball as hard as she could. She tried throwing it away from where the canines were standing, so that they wouldn't catch it in midair and could actually chase it for a bit. She smiled fondly as the six bolted after it as a unit and took the opportunity to rub her sore arm.
Voss managed to catch the ball this time. Collot immediately scooped him up and carried him over to Haru, the others trailing close behind.
"Here ya go!" Voss tossed Haru the ball.
"Good job! That was amazing!" Haru said. The canines were practically vibrating with anticipation.
A devious idea hit her. She wound back, just as she had several times before. The boys tensed. She threw her arm forward while still keeping a tight grip on the ball.
The six spun around, lunging a few steps before skidding to a halt. They looked back and forth, utterly perplexed. Haru laughed. They were just so cute!
Then, as one, they turned to look at her. Their expressions ranged from dull horror to absolute betrayal. Jack's eyes were wide and sad. Durham was utterly outraged. Legoshi's expression was flat and stunned.
Haru gulped, her ears drooping. Yikes. I didn't think I'd get that reaction! The combined power of these six sad canines was almost unbearable.
Quickly, she held out the ball so they could see it. "Okay, for real now!" she shouted, then threw it as hard as she could. Once the boys were sure that the ball was actually flying through the air, their sad faces immediately morphed back to excitement as they hurried off.
Sheesh, Haru thought as she tried to shake off the overwhelming guilt that had somehow filled her in the wake of 701's betrayed faces. They could rob a bank and get away with it with faces like those! When Legoshi brought the ball back, she made sure to give him some extra praise.
The game continued and Haru became increasingly aware of how her arm was starting to stiffen. Eventually, the ache became too much, and she sat down, rolling her shoulder back. She looked up as Jack hurried over to her with the ball and held it out. "One second," she said.
"Come on!" Jack urged, putting the ball on the stump next to her. "Throw it! We brought it back!"
"Yeah, yeah!" Voss shouted.
"I'm ready!" Durham crouched down, ready to run again.
Haru's ears twisted away as the voices of the canines became a chorus of loud barks. Thankfully, she remembered the tip Legoshi had given her before the game started.
"We canines sometimes lose ourselves when playing fetch," he had warned. "If you get overwhelmed, just give us this command to make us stand down…"
Haru stood up, taking a deep breath. "Everyone, HEEL!"
Immediately the 701 boys were silent and still. They lowered their ears and tails submissively as they waited for their next command.
Haru's aching shoulders slumped with relief as her ears were allowed to recover. "I think we're done with fetch." She hopped down from the stump and offered the ball to Jack, who didn't make any move to take it. "Um…at ease?" she ventured.
The canines relaxed and converged around Haru, apologizing for getting too carried away.
"You're just the best thrower we've ever had!" Collot said, his tail wagging like a fluffy banner. "Way better than the machine at B-Spot!"
"I never thought a small herbivore would have such a good arm!" Miguno commented.
"Could've done without that fake throw, though," Durham grumbled.
Haru grinned sheepishly. "I'm sorry. I didn't realize that was such a taboo. I won't do it again."
"Even with the fake throw, you were amazing!" Legoshi insisted. "You should decide what we do next."
"Hm…" Haru thought for a moment. "Well, I'd like to relax after all that exercise, and you all should probably sit down- That wasn't a command!" she quickly amended when Jack started to sit in the grass.
"Ah, sorry!" Jack said, springing up, ears drooping bashfully.
"Why don't we go to that café we went to last week?" she asked, glancing at Legoshi.
"Oh, that one! Yeah, that's a good spot!" He turned to the others. "It's run by a goat hybrid whose great grandfather is a fox. She's very kind toward anyone who comes in. Makes great peanut mochi."
The mention of peanut mochi was more than enough to catch the interest of the panting canines.
As they started walking, Voss called down to Haru: "Hey, Haru! Why are you still walking? Isn't Legoshi man enough to carry his tired girlfriend?"
The two hesitated, glancing at each other. Though there were times when Legoshi carrying Haru would make things easier, they were very much aware of the looks others would give them. Just the previous week, someone had approached Haru and asked if she was okay, because they thought Legoshi was holding her hand too tightly.
"Come on," Voss urged when he saw their worried expressions. "Wolves carry small animals all the time. If anyone says anything, they gotta say it to me and Collot too!"
Haru hesitated. Her legs were getting a bit tired. She glanced back up at Legoshi, whose expression was open. He was letting her decide. "I suppose it would be okay, since it's the middle of the day," she finally decided.
Legoshi's tail started wagging as he knelt down to pick his girlfriend up, lifting her into a comfortable position. She weighed next to nothing in his arms but created more of a presence there than anything else he had ever carried before. His heart thudded as she leaned against his shoulder, wrapping one arm around the back of his neck to prop herself up. "Is this comfortable for you?" she asked, touching a quick kiss to his cheek.
Her scent was right next to Legoshi's sensitive nose, and he had to swallow some of the saliva that instinctively filled his mouth before he could speak. "This is fine," he said.
It was the truth, after all. Though his carnivorous instincts were present, he was able to repress the more harmful effects with ease. He had managed to spend time with both Louis and Haru while actively starving himself, after all. This was nothing in comparison, especially when the sensation of Haru's soft kiss overpowered any other thought or impulse.
Jack glanced at Legoshi's wagging tail, and his smile widened. "See what I mean?" he said, winking at Haru. "His tail's gotten a regular workout since you came along."
Haru giggled as Legoshi's ears flattened bashfully. She returned Jack's wink with a sly smirk. "That's not the only thing that's been getting a workout."
"HARU!" Legoshi yelped.
Once again, the 701 boys fell into a fit of laughter, this time punctuated with Haru's wicked snicker and Legoshi's outraged sputtering.
"Excuse me!"
Immediately, the group fell silent. A pair of police officers were coming up behind them. One was a large rhino while the other was a cougar. Legoshi knelt down, allowing Haru to step back onto the sidewalk.
"Hello, officers," Haru greeted politely. "Sorry if we were too loud. I just told a joke to my friends and boyfriend here."
The cougar frowned, glancing at the large pack of canines, particularly Legoshi. "Is that right, wolf?"
"It is," Legoshi replied. He had fallen into his usual slouching position, unconsciously trying to appear less threatening. He was aware of his friends' varied reactions as well: Jack and Collot had their well-practiced "friendly dog faces" on. Durham was trying very hard to keep his fur from bristling. Miguno had a hand on Durham's shoulder, squeezing gently as he managed an encouraging smile. Voss just looked annoyed.
"We were told that you were playing some sort of hunting game at the park, crowding around this rabbit while she stood on a stump." The rhino folded her arms with a frown. "Is that true?"
"We were playing fetch," Jack piped up. "One creature throws a ball while the others chase it. It's a canine thing. Haru volunteered to throw."
"I did," Haru confirmed as the rhino looked down at her again. "It was a game. I was never threatened in any way. We were just walking to the café down the road. If you're worried, you can escort us there."
The cougar was carefully scanning the faces of the canines, then shrugged his shoulders. "No sign of bloodlust on any of them. I think we can let them go."
The rhino sighed. "I'll walk them down the street, just the same."
The walk to the café was silent and subdued. Haru grabbed Legoshi's hand and held onto it defiantly the entire time, smiling tightly at the rhino every few seconds. When they got there, the rhino bent down to look at her again.
"Be safe," she said, her ears flicking twice.
"I will," Haru replied, keeping her ears stock-still. There was a code among herbivores that involved flicking one's ears three times to show that they're in a bad situation.
The rhino nodded once, then walked away, apparently satisfied.
The 701 boys all let out a sigh once she was gone.
"I'm getting tired of this shit," Durham snarled. "Even if we do everything right, we still get harassed."
"It's good that they're being cautious, though," Collot pointed out. "Just last week, there was another predation incident. I can handle being offended. It's better than someone not doing something, and an herbivore getting hurt somewhere else."
"It still sucks, though," Miguno said, touching Durham's arm. "Watch your fur."
Durham took a breath, allowing his bristling fur to flatten again. "Well, now I really need some peanut mochi. Let's go in!"
The stepped into the café, which was called The Omni Café. "Omni," Jack said as they walked in. "That's a word modern activists are using when calling for unity between herbivores and carnivores."
Legoshi nodded, his tail wagging a little. "I'm really glad Haru found this place."
There was a goat behind the counter, polishing an old espresso machine with a worn but clean rag. She was brown with white patches, the only sign of her fox heritage showing in her more pointed ears.
"Well, hi there," she said with a grin, peering at Haru through a pair of spectacles. "Just how many canine boyfriends do you have, young lady?"
"Just one," Haru laughed. "That's all I can handle."
"Hey!" Legoshi playfully tickled the side of Haru's neck with his tail, smiling when this caused her to giggle even more.
"Good answer," the goat replied. "So, what can I get you and your fine pack of gentlemen?"
Her easygoing friendliness covered the wounds everyone was still feeling from their recent unpleasant encounter, soothing them until everyone felt perfectly at ease once more. Another breeze kicked up as several tails started wagging once again.
A few minutes later, after pushing some tables together, the group was happily enjoying some wonderful peanut and red bean mochi and sipping their drinks. Legoshi and Haru had both ordered steamed milk with honey (whole for Legoshi, soy for Haru). They were also sharing a huge slice of carrot cake.
"Sharing desserts," Miguno chuckled. "You guys are such a cliché."
"It's more affordable this way," Legoshi pointed out. "And Haru has trouble finishing a whole piece."
"I didn't say it was a bad thing," Miguno clarified. "It's cute."
"Becoming the romantic sort, Miguno?" Collot asked, playfully elbowing the hyena in the side.
"Maybe." Miguno glanced at Durham, whose ears twitched under his gaze. He tilted his head, a silent question in his eyes. Durham hesitated, then nodded once.
"Actually," Miguno continued. "I'm currently in a relationship."
The response was unanimous approval and several congratulatory punches in the arm.
"That's awesome!" Jack exclaimed. "I'm so happy for you!"
"Who is it?" Collot asked eagerly. "Do we know her?"
"How did you meet?" Legoshi asked. He glanced at Haru, who was watching Miguno silently. There was something about her expression, something almost…knowing.
"Um…" Miguno shifted nervously in his seat. "It's a he, actually."
The others paused for a beat, blinking and looking at each other in surprise.
"Huh," Collot said. "I never would've thought."
"So, who is he, then?" Voss piped up.
Miguno relaxed visibly at the easygoing response of his friends. Meanwhile, Durham quietly cleared his throat.
"Surprise," he said with a weak grin.
Collot, Voss, Jack, and Legoshi's jaws all dropped simultaneously. Haru picked up her cup and took another sip of milk.
"I kinda figured," she said calmly.
The four canines turned their gaping faces from their friends to Haru. "Wait, you just met them!" Legoshi gasped. "How did you figure something like that out?"
Haru shrugged. "It seemed obvious with how close they were compared to the others. They also kept giving each other these looks that reminded me of Legoshi whenever he's not sure how affectionate he should be in public."
Jack recovered first, looking back at his two roommates, feeling like this was his first time actually seeing them. Miguno had shifted so that he was leaning into Durham's side. The gangly hyena was tucked against his buff coyote boyfriend so perfectly, it was as if that space had been made for him. How had no one noticed before?
"How long have you been dating?" Jack wondered.
"…Almost a year," Miguno muttered.
Collot folded his arms, a confused and slightly hurt frown on his muzzle. "I get hiding it from everyone at school, because there's a bunch of assholes. But why wouldn't you tell us? We wouldn't laugh at you or anything."
"We didn't think you would," Durham said. "But…it felt like a special thing when it was just between us. We've seen how gay couples are treated, as well as interspecies couples. For a while, it just seemed better to keep it private. It was our secret to keep, and we didn't want to put that on you."
"We've always admired you two," Miguno admitted, looking at Legoshi and Haru. "And, after seeing how good you are together and how well you were able to handle being questioned just now… I don't know. I just wanted to tell, all of a sudden."
The other four 701 canines looked at each other as they recovered from their surprise. Haru placed a hand on Legoshi's arm, drawing his attention. When she smiled softly at him, the last traces of shock left as he was filled with that familiar warmth and happiness that had been his life since Haru had come into it.
He looked back at Miguno and Durham, smiling warmly and without restraint. If Haru and I can inspire others, he thought. Maybe things really will get better for everyone. Maybe a day will come when anyone can fall in love and no one will think strangely of it.
"You have our support," he said out loud.
"We'll keep it a secret from everyone else, if that's what you want," Voss added.
"Just leave a sock on the door if you guys need some alone time," Collot said with a wink, smirking when this caused Durham's ears to stiffen and Miguno to groan and hide his face in his hands.
The group finished and went back outside, where it was decided that they should part ways for the day. Haru needed to get home to study, and the boys had curfew.
"It was great seeing you again, Haru," Jack said, kneeling down to say goodbye. "I hope we can hang out more."
"I'd be happy to!" Haru replied. She included all five canines in her answering smile. "I had a lot of fun." She looked at Miguno and Durham. "And congratulations! I hope you two stay happy together!"
"We plan on it," Durham replied, grinning fondly at his boyfriend.
Miguno nodded, his ears flicking bashfully as he smiled back. "Thank you again for inspiring us."
"See you next time, Haru," Collot said, waving.
"It's nice having another small mammal in the group," Voss commented. "Later!"
After several hugs and farewell arm-punches for Legoshi, the pack of young canines went on their way.
"Bye, everyone," Haru called, waving as she followed Legoshi down the sidewalk.
"I like them," she said. "Why did it take so long for me to meet all of them?"
Legoshi shrugged. He honestly didn't have much of an answer. With all that had gone on in his life over the past few years, it felt as if he and Haru had hardly had any time together. After the battle in the back-alley market, they were finally able to start their relationship properly. Introducing his friends just hadn't come up yet. He had been too absorbed in the joy of being with Haru.
"I was going to," he said. "It's just that you and my friends make up different parts of my life, and I hadn't thought about bringing them together yet. I was focused on being with you."
Haru huffed, rolling her eyes. "Well, I don't want to be a different part of your life. I want to be involved in all parts of your life, including your friends."
"They're your friends now, too," Legoshi pointed out, his tail wagging as he thought back to how easy and fun the day had been, minus the brief interruption by the police.
"That's true." Haru felt an extra spring in her step as she realized that Legoshi was right. She had just made five new friends in one day!
Since the incident with Ako and Airdo, things had been tense with her college friends. She had almost forgotten what a simple, enjoyable interaction with a friend group was like. It was wonderful!
"We should go on a double-date," she commented. "With Durham and Miguno, whenever they decide to come out fully."
"Good idea!" Legoshi's tail wagged as another idea occurred to him. "We could double-date with Louis and Juno next week, if they're free!"
"That sounds perfect!" Haru hugged Legoshi's arm as they walked, laughing when her boyfriend easily lifted her off the ground, her feet walking on air, her fur ruffling in the wake of Legoshi's long strides. She continued to hold onto him tightly, even after being placed back on the ground.
Legoshi's heart was light as he led Haru to her door and kissed her goodnight. He would never get tired of the feel of her soft fur, of her shorter muzzle against his pointed snout. He waited until she was safely inside before starting his walk back home.
Even though he was alone now, his tail kept on wagging.
Have I mentioned already how much I want Haru to become friends with the good boys? Louis too, while we're at it. As for Miguno/Durham, I fell in love with that pairing after noticing all the casual contact those two have in the manga. Any fic I do with the 701 boys will likely have those two as a couple.
I really hope to see more character interaction when the current (and probably final) arc comes to a close, especially with Haru. Let her meet Gosha, dangit!
Note: The scene with the cops isn't meant to be a parallel to anything in real life. It's there because, in the Beastars-verse, it's unlikely that a small herbivore hanging with a whole group of canines would go unnoticed and without suspicion on the part of some onlookers.
As always, keep smiling, keep your heads high, and peace out!
