Snake Eyes searched the clan Dojo for Jinx, wanting to tell her the news. He looked in all her favourite spots and in her room but found no sign she was there or had even been there during the day. Just as there was no sign of where she might have gone. The black clad ninja soon remembered there was one placed he hadn't checked. The bridge. He quickly and quietly made his way to the half moon bridge where he saw the dark haired woman he was looking for, sitting in the middle looking down at the flowing water below her.

Snake slowly and quietly walked to where she sat, leaning down beside her and placing a gloved hand on her shoulder, letting her know he was there with her and for her. She soon looked his general direction with sadness before returning her attention back to the freely flowing water below. The black clad ninja knew instantly something was bothering the red ninja but could only guess what it was. His first thought being it drawing nearer to the anniversary of her father's death. He tapped her on the shoulder just seconds later, waiting for her to return her attention to him before he started the gesture something. *Jinx, what bothers you?*. He asked, noticing the sadness return to her dark eyes, while also making sure it was just the two of them.

"Today is my birthday. Yet nobody remembered" whispered Jinx in response, as if she didn't want anyone else to hear, just how hurt and disappointed she was. Upon finishing her words Snake Eyes smiled beneath his mask before standing to his feet, holding a hand out to the other ninja. When she took hold of the out stretched hand he wasted little time in pulling her to her feet before leading her from the clan gardens back towards the dojo.

"Where are we going Snake?" questioned Jinx, the curiosity clear in her voice as was the sadness. He could only motion for her to continue following him, gently tightening his grip on her hand as he did so. *Just come with me and you'll see*. The red ninja could only sigh and do as requested, unsure what to make of the trip through the dojo or the odd looks sent the way of the pair. She only got more curious when the duo entered the room they had once shared when they were younger.

"Snake what are we doing in here?" asked Jink, a little confused as to why they were in the room that had sentimental value to her but was now occupied by two of the younger clan members. She wondered why he had taken her to that specific room. The black clad ninja could only sit on one of the cushions, motioning for Jinx to take a seat on the one across from him. Although unsure Jinx did as she was asked. *Do you remember when I first came here? We met in this room. You accepted me straight away and convinced Storm to do the same. This room became our little hide away. The place we came where it was just you and me* gestured Snake Eyes, remembering some of the times he spend with her in that particular room, when Storm Shadow left, he stayed being someone Jinx could lean on and a shoulder to cry on.

"I remember" spoke the red ninja. Wishing once again the room hadn't been assigned to younger members of the clan. "You found me here after my father died. Stayed by my side through it all. This was also the room you took the vow of silence" added the dark haired woman, looking around the room as she remembered the good and the bad, only now noticing it hadn't changed all that much, the flowers maybe but that was it.

So many memories. Let me add another one* gestured Snake eyes in an enthusiastic way, wanting her to remember more of the good and happier times rather than the heartbreaking ones. Jinx could only look over to her friend, confusion once again taking over her features. A small smile creeping on to her lips, more for being with him. General Hawk sent a request to the masters. Asking you join the Joe's as part of the Alpha Team. With me* continued the silent ninja, once again taking hold of her hands as if begging her to accept before pulling her towards him in a hug something he hadn't done for so long.

"Snake I can't breath" uttered Jinx, relieved when the black clad ninja loosened the hug. She soon gave her answer in favour of joining the team, knowing she was capable of handling it. He soon wiped a tear from her eyes with his tumb, only wishing to give her comfort and cheer her up from the sadness almost drowning her. *There's nothing to be upset about my Jinx* gestured Snake Eyes instantly recognising his mistake by calling her his jinx, but also knew it was too late to change it. Especially when the ninja herself appeared to notice the words he had sighed to her.

"Your Jinx?" questioned the red ninja, unsure if she had caught that properly, if she had then she wanted to be sure what was running through her mind was right. Snake soon turned away from her, his body language suggesting he was trying to think of something. Yet with in minutes he returned his attention back to her, but also appearing unsure of what he was about to sigh to her next. *I didn't know how to tell you. So I'm just going to say it. I'm in love with you Jinx. I have been for years but could never tell you* gestured Sake Eyes, Jinx looked at him unsure what to think, her suspicions had been confirmed, yet still it stunned her. She soon settled for offering him a gentle hug, a smile gracing her lips when he returned the gesture with passion, only hoping she felt the same as he did for her.

Jinx cheekily placed her lips near his ear, smiling as she did so, before whispering something to him. Her words causing a smirk to appear on his lips hidden beneath his mask. She had finally admitted her feelings for him as he had done for her. *Happy Birthday Jinx* gestured Snake for the last time, before picking up her Katanas and passing them over to her while also grabbing hold of his own. Laying down a challenge for her in the form of a sparring match. Both already being able to guess the outcome of it before it even began but still proceeded to duel.
