A/N: LET'S GO! 5Ds Tumblr Monthly Event has begun, and it's one I've been hyped for so much since I was invited by overthemoonday to participate in it. So I decided to, and I would like to thank you overthemoonday for inviting me to join in on the event since it's my favorite YuGiOh series. So here it is! Oneshot prompts under 1000 words or less over the days involving our favorite characters from Yusei to death-defying Kalin/Kiryu to even a special rare pairing you may have never seen until now.

Day 1 - Yusei

The snow gently fell around the young man as he strolls through the forest with a smile.

If there was one thing for sure, Yusei did love taking walks in the forest near New Domino City.

By himself.

Every once in a while, the head signer was so stressed out by the problems in his life that he needed some peace and quiet to himself.

Of course, he couldn't really find it with his best friend and loudmouth Jack Atlas, who would constantly bicker with his other friend Crow Hogan.

God, the two would spend the whole afternoon from arguing over simple issues such as who took whose soup to even who was the better signer duelist.

When they did start their little arguments, it took all of Yusei's willpower to not snap at the two for bickering like they were still little children, children who were fighting over small problems that could easily be solved in a duel or just buying enough soups for everyone to enjoy.

But when Yusei really felt like he was going to snap, he just simply walked out of Zora's garage that they lived in, hopped on his trusty duel runner known as Yusei Go, and just drove out to the only place that he knew would calm him down quickly.

The forest.

He doesn't know why, but the first time he went there, he felt truly at peace.

A peace that he never really felt before in his life.

Perhaps it was the beauty or the safety of the forest that called to him, as a mother would when her child needed comfort and love to find refuge in.

Or it could be something else that called to him.

Something mystical and enchanting.

Whatever it was, Yusei was just glad that it could help him find the tranquility that his mind needed so much.

As he continued to stroll through the forest, he couldn't help but enjoy the winter snow falling around him, breathing in the misty, cool air that his lungs enjoyed thoroughly.

He wasn't really cold, as the coat he brought with him helped give him the warmth he needed while he enjoyed his peaceful walk.

Plus, to be honest, the snow gently falling around him was so beautiful to watch as he felt welcomed by it.

Welcomed by something that he didn't know what it was.

But if there was one thing for sure, he decided to embrace it.

Embrace it as if it was something he was looking for.

And as he continued to walk through the snowy forest, he made sure to reach into his coat and pull out the card that he treasured the most.

Stardust Dragon.

For some reason, since the day that he found this card, Yusei couldn't really shake off the feeling that this signer dragon had been given to him for a reason.

Other than the Crimson Dragon choosing him to bear the Mark of the Dragon Head, to be the fifth signer that would lead the other signers in a battle of light and dark.

But it wasn't just the idea of the Crimson Dragon or the signers that had gotten his attention over his ace card.

No.

It was something else.

As Yusei glanced at his trusty card, he couldn't help but notice that despite the fact Stardust Dragon was classified as a wind dragon, deep down inside, it didn't really feel like a wind spirit.

No.

It felt like a spirit of the ice itself, a dragon born of ice and snow before it ascended to what it is now.

A dragon that lives among the stars that hover at night.

As Yusei continues to glance at his card, he can't help but shake off the feeling that someone is watching him.

To reassure himself, he checks the surroundings around him as he slightly frowns.

There's no one in this forest except him at the moment.

Perhaps he's simply losing his mind or there really is someone else in this forest that is hiding from him.

Whoever it is, he can't really focus on them right now since he has bigger problems ahead of him.

Such as the future that awaits him with the new dangers waiting around the corner since he saved the world from the Dark Signers.

Yusei doesn't know what's ahead of the journey for him, but there's one thing for sure.

With Stardust Dragon by his side, Yusei will be ready for anything evil that dares to mess with him or his friends along with New Domino City as well.

With newfound motivation and inspiration that he finds from this walk in the snowy forest, Yusei then proceeds to make his way back to his duel runner, gently getting into the driver's seat as he puts his signature red helmet onto his head.

As he stares at his Stardust Dragon once more, he doesn't notice the hidden set of ocean blue eyes from behind a set of trees that are peeking in his direction, noticing the Stardust Dragon with a hint of recognition.

But they instantly vanish as he puts the card away into his deck, the cards shuffling as he ignites his duel runner's engine and proceeds to drive away back home for the day.

After all, this calm day in the forest has taught him one thing for sure.

He needs to be calm and ready for whatever dangers awaits for him.

Even if that means to survive another day of Jack's and Crow's bickering once more.

A/N: Done! Day 1 complete! Now a full month of 1000 words or fewer prompts awaits with new stories for our characters! I hope you like it! Don't forget to review it because I plan on doing all of the prompts since 1000 words are easy to type actually. Probably from the fact that I write stories that are pages long, but it's something I can manage. That's all from me! Until tomorrow! :)
