Sooooooo...I wrote this for fun. Like it says on my profile, I do this sometimes. Point is, I was bored, so I wrote it. If you haven't read my story Demigods at Ever After High, you won't understand some things. Like, you won't even know who some characters are. And, of anyone is wondering when this takes place - I'd say sometime after season five of Ever After High. Well, enjoy!

Amanda got up. She smiled and shook Izzy, who smiled and jumped up.

"It's Fourth of July!" they both shouted at the same time. They dressed quickly. Amanda wore dark blue jeans and a white and red striped shirt. She put her hair in a V-braid. Izzy wore her normal black combat boots. She put on white shorts and a blue shirt with white stars.

The two of them hurried away quickly and woke all their friends - who were already awake. Fourth of July was their favorite holiday. It held a special meaning for them. They'd become best friends on it.

They'd all come to the annual Fourth of July celebration on Olympus with their families. Amanda and Alex came together with Amanda's older brothers - Daniel, Aiden, and Jax. Daniel - the oldest - was already eighteen while Amanda and Alex were only seven.

Amanda had performed a song for everyone. Even as a little girl she had an incredible voice. The two of them had met the others when they all came to congratulate Amanda on her performance. Soon, they'd become very close friends. They were all in the same class at school and spent nearly all their time together.

Awww. That's kind of cute. Ah, life was so easy when we were little.

Brooke, what do you mean.

I mean, when you're a little kid you can just go up to someone and become friends. When you're older, it gets harder.

She's right.

I suppose we should treasure our childhood. Well, let's see what happens next.

Soon, they were all walking into the Castleteria, cheerful. They sat at their usual table with Raven, Apple, Maddie, Briar, Darling, Cerise, Hopper, Dexter, and Daring.

"Hey guys," Eve said, in her usual perky way. "What's up?"

"Nothing much," Raven said, shrugging.

"Yeah. I mean, isn't it just another normal day?" Apple said.

"No. It's Fourth of July!" Kyle said.

"That is..." Briar said, trailing off.

All the demigods jaws dropped. "Like, the day we celebrate..." Amanda turned to Izzy. "What do we celebrate again?"

"The birth of America's Independence."

"Yeah. That. But it's also and excuse to use fireworks!" Amanda exclaimed.

"We always had a huge festival on Olympus for it. Mainly because it was fun," Michel said.

"I can't believe we never heard of it," Dexter said.

"Maybe you guys could celebrate it this year. We can get it ready," Zoe said. The other demigods nodded. It was a Saturday - so they would have time to get it ready. "In the meantime, spread the word. And tell everyone to be in the courtyard at nine at night, and to bring picnic blankets. That's when the show starts."

The wight of them got up and hurried out of the Castleteria.

"There we go!" Zoe said happily. They'd just finished setting up. It was time for lunch, and the courtyard was nearly unrecognizable. They'd set up a stage with the fireworks hidden behind it. There were floating lanterns too, and stand on the edges. The stands had firecrackers and food. They'd left a huge part of the courtyard empty however, since they needed space for the blankets.

With a snap of her fingers, Zoe caused the whole thing to disappear. "There. Now it's safe and sound in the storage area. I'll make it appear again at night. Let's go." With those words, the eight went in to eat their lunch - and prepare for that night.

This sounds like it's gonna be super fun!

Brooke, grammar.

Fine. Going to be super fun. Happy?

Delighted.

Raven took Dexter's hand and led him outside to the courtyard.

"Come on! I don't want to miss it!" she said.

"We won't! Why are you so excited anyways?" he asked.

Raven slowed down. "I guess...I've always wondered how it feels to be normal. And now that we know that there really are normal people out there...I want to know even more." She looked down. "I guess that's kind of stupid."

"No it's not," Dexter said. "I feel the same." Raven gave him a surprised look, and he slipped his hand into her's. "Come on. Let's go."

The two of them headed out and spread out the blanket they'd brought along. It was very big - since all their friends were going to join them. And soon, they were all there.

"Why is there nothing here?" Apple asked. "Weren't they working on it for hours?"

The others were just as confused. Soon, however, Zoe hurried onto the small platform in front of them.

"Hi everyone! I'm Zoe Dawn. My friends - you know, the demigods - and I did this because the Fourth of July is one of our favorite holidays, and none of you seem to know about it. So, enjoy everyone." With those words, she snapped her fingers and the courtyard transformed. Everyone gasped as she walked off and music started playing.

Amanda walked on the stage, a microphone in her hands. She was in a white and red striped tank top and dark blue shorts with stars. A silver train flowed from her waist, and she was wearing boots. Her brown, curly hair was flowing loose and she was wearing red lipstick, blue eye shadow, and mascara. She started singing as the fireworks started going off.

It had been half an hour, and people were really enjoying themselves. They were running around, getting some free food from the stalls, playing with firecrackers, and watching the show. Amanda had been singing the whole time.

"This is amazing," Apple said to Darling.

"I know. I never thought there was a holiday where you could just sit and watch fireworks," Darling said.

"Plus, free food," Cerise added from behind them. They all laughed, and Apple rested a hand on Darling's. Ever since they defeated the Evil Queen, the two had been going out. She doubted anyone at Ever After High had suspected that Apple White could be a lesbian, but she was actually enjoying dating Darling.

All of a sudden, the last song started playing.

"Oh, I love this one," Apple said.

"Me too!" Darling said happily.

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag

Drifting thought the wind

Wanting to start again

Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin

Like a house of cards

One blow from caving in

Do you ever feel already buried deep

Six feet under scream

But no one seems to hear a thing

Do you know that there's still a chance for you

'Cause there's a spark in you

You just gotta ignite the light

And let it shine

Just own the night

Like the Fourth of July

'Cause baby you're a firework

Come on show 'em what your worth

Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"

As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework

Come on let your colors burst

Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"

You're gonna leave 'em fallin' down down down

You don't have to feel like a waste of space

You're original, cannot be replaced

If you only knew what the future holds

After a hurricane comes a rainbow

Maybe a reason why all the doors are closed

So you can open one that leads you to the perfect road

Like a lightning bolt, your heart will glow

And when it's time, you'll know

You just gotta ignite the light

And let it shine

Just own the night

Like the Fourth of July

'Cause baby you're a firework

Come on show 'em what your worth

Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"

As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework

Come on let your colors burst

Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"

You're gonna leave 'em fallin' down down down

Boom, boom, boom

Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

It's always been inside of you, you, you

And now it's time to let it through

'Cause baby you're a firework

Come on show 'em what your worth

Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"

As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework

Come on let your colors burst

Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"

You're gonna leave 'em fallin' down down down

Boom, boom, boom

Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

Boom, boom, boom

Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

As Amanda sang the last word, the biggest firework yet flew into the sky. It exploded into words - Happy Fourth of July!

That was interesting.
