"What's wrong, Meredith?" Cristina sighed, standing next to her person's bed with arms crossed on her chest. "I'm sick" She replyed. "No, you're not" dr. Yang took a step to the way out. "Yes, I am" Mer didn't make any effort for the longer answer and just pretended to cough. "Ok, so I will tell you what you have. It's called I don't want to go to work, because it turned out my dr. mcdreamy has a wife mcpretty" She said with the usual, sarcastic manner. When Cristina saw Meredith didn't even look at her, she added "I will hide you from Shepard whole day, just get up. We're late." surgical intern was desperate. "I can't, I'm sick" the blonde woman in the bed rolled over. "So be it, but it doesn't matter, you're an intern, nobody cares you have a cold" Cristina smirked and tried to pull the blanket out of her friend. Meredith covered herself back. Yang gave up, rolled her eyes and sat down on the adge of the bed. "What are the syptoms?" Mer suddenly bacame really talkactive. "I have sore throat, probably a fever, runny nose, oh, and the cough" She coughed saying that. "Open" Cristina said dryly. Grey listened. Cristina barely took a look.She sensed her limph nodes under the neck and toughed her forehead. Whole thing took her maybe three seconds. "No fever, throat's clear, limph nodes are in normal size" she said on one breath "Congratulations, you're officially healthy. Are we ready to go?" Meredith looked at her. "Cough can be a sign of tuberculosis". Cristina was annoyed. "Mer, Derek has a wife, he didn't tell you that, you didn't know. That's sucks. He's a jerk. You don't want to see him and you don't have to, I will make sure you won't, but you have to work" She said firmly. "Now get up, get dressed and let's go". "Tuberculoises can be dangerous" Meredith said. "If I will prove to you that you don't have tuberculoises, will you go to work?" Dr. Grey looked up. "I'll consider this" Yang sighed, got up and left the room. Izzie and George were standing just behind the door. "And what? Is she getting dressed?" Izzie asked. "No" Cristina replyed shortly. "Find me a stethoscope". The two interns looked at the asian woman wonder. "Meredith is really sick?" George questioned. "I thought she was lying" Izzie added. "She is lying" Yang sighed again. "Stethoscope". "If she is lying why..." the blonde started but Cristina cut off. "She is saying she has tuberculoises, because she doesn't want to go to work, I will prove she doesn't and drag her out of the damn bed" The young doctor was no longer patient. "Stethoscope" Two friends found out she was angry so one of them just handed her what she asked for. The woman entered the room again. "Breathe deeply," she said, putting the tip to Mer's back. After a minute she took the stethoscope from her ears and put it on her shoulders out of habit. "Suprisingly, you don't have tuberculoises" She informed her sarcasticly. "Get up" Meredith was thinking a second and looked at Cristina "I can have a heart deffect". Dr. Yang closed her eyes and took a big breathe to not kill her person, opened her eyes again, smiled and put the stethoscope into her ears. After a second of listening she took a deap breathe again. "You don't have any heart deffect, too bad, I would love to do an complicated surgery on the open heart, and yours would be the only option for that today, because I won't get one in the hospital. Do you know why?" She made a break "I will be late because of you". Meredith didn't look at Cristina. "Just go to work, I will stay here, I'm sick" She closed her eyes. "Mer?" Yang started "You are sick, right?" Grey gave her a confused look. "Yes" She confirmed. "Maybe we will get you to the doctor?" Cristina smiled ominously "Dr. Shepard is an atteding, and I'm sure he will be happy to help" Meredith looked up at her friend annoyed. "There will be probably some good surgeries" She said and got up.
