Hello again...

after a long weekend I bring you the third chapter of this story that is becoming increasingly interesting

A lifetime offer

After they had woken up along with getting ready, Roberto flew with Jorge to find Emily to take her with them. When they managed to find her again, the happy family of three flew towards the very hollow that is occupied by Carlos along with his family. They arrived to be greeted by Carlos himself, who happily hugged the young girl in his wings before he began to shake wings with both of her dads whom gave a friendly smile at him.

It wasn't long before Betty greeted the Spix Macaw family, which led to her hugging both Roberto along with Jorge. She even joyfully played with Emily, who giggled because she is currently being tickled by her before they went to check on Betty's children. While the two were finally out of sight, Carlos patted a chair next to him as a gesture of his guests to take a seat for themselves that resulted in Roberto and Jorge doing exactly that as they took their seats.

"Hello Roberto, I wondered when you were going to come" said Carlos as he smiled at his two guests. "I've been wanting to talk to you, in person".

"Same here, Carlos, we came to check on how you're doing" said Roberto as he calmly looked at Carlos. "So, how are you doing today, my friend?".

"Well, if you must know, I have been thinking rather lately" said Carlos as he took a deep calm breath. "I have an idea, about forming a new team".

This instantly caught Roberto along with Jorge's attention, because they began to wonder what their friend meant. The idea of forming a team at all, sounds interesting enough with the fact there hasn't been a team at all since the Rio Army disbanded. It is this exactly this very thought, that helped Roberto catch onto what Carlos is saying although he let Carlos speak in order to find out more about the potential forming of this new team.

"What kind of new team?, this sounds interesting indeed" said Jorge as he looked at Carlos in the eyes. "Come on, Carlos, what are you saying?".

"It is called The Amazonian Force, it's actually my idea" said Carlos as he thought about his next words. "We will need a leader too, I found one".

"Really?, already?, who is your candidate to be leader?" asked Roberto as he became increasingly curious. "Surely it's Eduardo or even Felipe?".

"Actually no it isn't, my choice is different to all of them" said Carlos as he looked at Roberto straight in the eye. "My candidate for leader is...You".

This announcement stunned Roberto completely still, he couldn't believe that he is chosen for a important role. He wasn't the only one stunned, because Jorge himself is shocked himself with the news that his husband is a candidate for leadership itself. The shock soon turned to happiness however, because he knows that it is the job of a lifetime for both of them in the knowledge that he can advise Roberto in any situation that presents itself.

It is clearly going to take time for Roberto to process, due to the enormous amount of responsibility of being a leader. He wasn't sure if he's right for it, due to the fact he is not the kind of bird to lead such an important team as he thought it's Eduardo's job. He knows that it is a tough job already, due to the fact he has seen leaders such as Eduardo in action personally during his time in the Spix Macaw tribe as this helped him make an unexpected decision to Carlos.

"I'm sorry Carlos, but, I'm afraid I will have to decline" said Roberto as his decision shocked Carlos and Jorge himself. "I don't think I'm right for it".

"But Roberto, you can't decline, we really need a leader" said Carlos as he tries to get his friend to change his mind. "You have leadership qualities".

"Yeah, but, only when leading a very small group of birds" said Roberto as he tried to prove his point to Carlos himself. "Eduardo led the whole tribe".

"Rob, it's a job of a lifetime, please, will you think about it?" asked Jorge as he held his husband's wings with his own. "Please, do it for me and Emily".

Roberto could only sigh in response to Jorge's plea, due to the fact he understands why it is the big job of a lifetime. He just wasn't sure about taking it, knowing that becoming a leader will put a lot of responsibility onto his own shoulders like Blu himself. He wasn't sure if he could live up to him, along with carrying on his legacy to protect the innocent from those wishing to do them harm as he looked into Jorge's eyes with those same loving eyes helping him make his decision.

"Ok, I'll think about it, although I'll need time to process it" said Roberto as he faced Carlos with a very reluctant smile. "Is it fine, that I think about it?".

"Take all the time that you need, there is no need to rush" said Carlos as he gave a small smile before becoming sad. "We need the team, to find Caius".

"Why?, what happened Carlos?, what happened to Caius?" asked Jorge as he looks worriedly at his Toucan best friend. "What happened to him, Carlos?".

"Merida and Caius had a fight, the two are now divorced" said Carlos as this news shocked the two Spix Macaw couple. "Want more details? find Merida".

This news shocked Roberto along with Jorge even more, because they had no idea about a fight between the lovely couple. They thought they got along well, until something has clearly ripped that relationship to shreds with the two Spix Macaws becoming curious. They definitely want to know more, although they had a bad feeling that they might not want to find out the reason for the divorce between the two former lovebirds.
