Hey guys, this if my first fic, i'm doing it for fun and to practice my english, as it isn't my first language, so please don't mind my mistakes...

Tired...

That's one word that would define him everytime he woke up.

As shirou sat up from his chair, he checked the clock, 5:30 AM, perfect time as always! Being the protector of beastmen, sleeping must be as minimal as possible, and on a chair, it was easier to be prepared if an emergency was to come. But he would be lying if it wasn't uncomfortable.

as he left the room, going to the kitchen, he tried to be as must silent as possible to not wake up the other residents, and While preparing his coffee, he pondered about the recents events that happened in animacity. The nyvarsil syndrome, how it affected and can affect beastmen from both past and future, and lastly how the mayor wanted to allow humans to come to animacity.

Was it really ok to allow them on this city? bad things could happen and beastmen happiness might be at stake, but still, maybe there could be good humans that would try to understand them, like nazuna and michiru.

Speaking of such tanuki girl, ever since nazuna became a famous idol, michiru has been living with her, not only because she would have a bigger and confy room, but also because they were bests friends for a long time, they sure would like to support each other.

Ever since she's gone, this place has been really quiet.

"Maybe it's better this way," said a thoughful shirou.

And as he was going to drink some of his coffee, he suddenly hears the bell. With an arched eyebrow he thought, who would be there at this time of day? Maybe another runaway beastmen that just arrived to the city? Still drinking his coffee, he quickly got up to see who was at the door, But as he opened it, the only person that greeted him was a familiar one, Michiru, the tanuki girl, who looked up at him smiling.

"Good morning shirou-san!"

Shirou looked at her expressionless, replying with a cold "good morning," and when she realized that he wasn't going to say anything, she just let herself go inside. as she reached the room, that was so familiar, she let a bright smile take over her, the sofa, the chair and even kuro's resting place, everything looked the same.

"Well, this place didn't change anything ever since i left huh?"

"It's been just a few months ever since, its expected" said a nonchalantly shirou.

"Sure..." says michiru, who sat on the sofa, and started looking down as she interwined her fingers. Shirou, realizing that something was going on, drinked some of his coffee and sat on his chair.

"So, what are you doing here so early?"

"I-i wanted to talk..."

"Is that so?"

As she heard his reply, she bit her lower lip, as if it's a way to gather some courage, "Shirou-san... How has it been?"" and as she said it, shirous looked a bit confused. "How are you cooping with the idea of humans coming to animacity?" continued the tanuki girl

And then, shirou put his coffe cup on the table behind him and crossed his arms."I still don't trust humans, and probrably will not truthfully believe in them for all my existence, But the last events, our problem with Alan, revealed that not everything that is hold as the truth for so long, is indeed accurate. The mayor thinks that this is the best solution to find a way to cope with the prejudice, that beastmen and humans must learn with each other." And shirou shifted in his seat, closing his eyes, as if it's a way to hide some of his feelings "I trust her resolve, and if they ever need me, i'll always stay here, to protect all of them.""

"As expected of shirou san," said michiru still looking down, but this time with a little smile. And she suddenly took a breath of air, like gathering some courage to say something.

"i'm going to leave animacity." and as she said this, shirou immediately looked at her.

Many thoughts passed inside his head, so the time has come? did she miss her human life so much that she's going to leave all she learned in this city behind?

"Don't look at me this way," said michiru with a playful smile, looking at him. "I've been in contact with my family, my parents, they miss me as much as i miss them, so i'm thinking of paying them a visit, and staying for a few days."

"I see..." said shirou crossing his arms "do as it pleases you, just be careful with the beastmen hunters on land."

"Don't worry, i'll be. I'm not the scared girl i was before, as i kinda understand now who i am."

"Good" says shirou as he got up from his chair. "Melissa and gem will be awake in a few minutes, you probrably want to talk to them too right?"

"I told my parents about this city, and about you..." said michiru as shirou was about to leave the room, and upon hearing those words, he insantly looked back at her, with a serious expression.

"You didn't-"

"No, i didn't say anything about ginrou, the wolf god, but i told them about my friends here, the bears that love to play baseball, the albatross that dislike human flying rules, about nazuna idol career... And even about a unlikely friend that saved my life many times," and shirou who had a stern look, softned his gaze towards her.

"Shirou-san..." said michiru as she got up from the sofa and standed in front of him. "Woundn't you come with me, to visit my parents?" said the tanuki girl, with a small blush on her face.

Those words, they surprised shirou so much, that he didn't know exactly what to say.

"What?", he said, that word coming out a bit louder than he wanted. "Why should i go with you?" he said with a bit of an angry tone, trying to disguise his surprise.

Startled by his reaction, michiru felt a bit of frustration raise within her, "because i told them about this city, i told them about you! they've been supporting me even after becoming a tanuki girl, they want to know more about beastmen, and they want to know more about you!"

"But this city, this is where i am needed, what would i do in human territory?"

"I just wanted you to know more about us, humans, you have been living only in animacity for years, society changes, we can change! It's a good opportunity!"

"Just give it up already michiru, it's not a good idea."

"Fine! Just forget what i said, you stubborn old man" and with that, she bolted towards the exit.

''Wait'' said shirou as he grabbed michiru's left arm.

"Looks like all that happened months ago didn't hit too much for you, i have been trying to understand beastmen people, i really have, and specially understand you! Why would it be nonsense if i would like my parents to know someone from this world, that is MY World from now on?" And then she freed herself from his grip and was about to leave the room, when she heard him say.

''I'll think about it." and now it was michiru's turn to look back surprised. ''Just give me some time, to make this decision." and the frown that was in michiru's face gave place to a small, but bright smile

''I'll give you three days, i can't wait more than that." she said trying to look serious. When he nodded with his head at her, michiru turned her back, and left the room, giggling and muttering something that shirou cound't compreehend.

"Shirou, i heard michiru's voice, is something wrong?" said a sleepy gem appearing in the room, seems like the discussion has woken him.

"Everything's alright!" said shirou who took his cup, and sat on his chair, drinking the remains of his coffee and muterring "that damn idiot", while trying to hide his own frustration.
