Chapter 1 memory days:

The year is 784 in Magnolia at the Fairy Tail guild hall. Approximately 6 months after Fantasia happened. The guild was starting to get back to normal, even the Thunder Legion were adjusting to their new roles in the guild and are not hated as much as they were before.

We start this story in the guild hall. Cana is drinking with Macao and Wakaba, while Levy is laughing at the crazy antics of Team Shadowgear. Lucy looked upon her guildmates with fondness. This. This was the home she had finally dreamed of having. She looked over at the Thunder Legion, they were talking to themselves. Evergreen happened to look up and locked eyes with Lucy. Lucy smiled brightly at her waving. Evergreen looked down embarrassed. Lucy frowned at that. While the Fairy Mage had been let's face it a royal bitch, she didn't hate her. She had tried to connect with the mage when she saw her struggling to make female friends in the guild. Evergreen was just so well awkward wasn't the right word, but she wouldn't talk much and when she did she came off snooty and then she would be embarrassed over what she had done to all of them. It was kinda a mess. She sighed walking down stairs. Looking glum.. She honestly wanted to be friends. But if she didn't want to be friends, Lucy needed to stop.

Back the Thunder Legion table..

"Gah! I'm such a baka!" Ever cried.

"What?" Freed asked.

"She means she keeps screwing up making friends here." Bickslow said. Evergreen slapped him.

"I- I don't even have a response for that!" She said miserably.

"Can someone please fill me in?" Freed asked.

Evergreen sighed. "Have you noticed how Lucy is the only one nice to us... consistently. Not Mira nice but-"

"I get what you mean." Freed said drinking some tea.

"Well, she's been super nice to me. And I'm just not getting it! I'm trying to be nice back but I feel-"

"She feels like she's fucking it up. News flash Ever you're not the only one. We all haven't exactly fit back in around here."

"Yes I'm afraid that we still do stick out like sore thumbs. But we do have at least have Miss Mirajane-"

"I think you mean you." Bickslow teased.

"Shut up Bickslow!" Freed hissed thinking about the beautiful barmaid.

"Just saying it's obvious you dig her...sure Elfman would approve...to a point. I don't if he's forgiven us yet. Do we know? Do we know who's forgiven us yet?"

"Well no one has just outright said it. Well Mira has to me to a point. But Evergreen if Lucy is being nice to you, just talk to her back. I know you have a desire to have more female friendships." Freed said.

"I do! But every time I talk to her I come off as a snob."

"Well that wont do. Just apologize and tell her that you don't mean to come across as a snob but you appreciate that she's making an effort?" Freed asked.

"I guess it couldn't hurt...I hear she likes shopping."

"Oh great! Another shopaholic!" Bickslow said sarcastically.

"Shut up!"

"Ugh why do we have to do this!" Lucy cried shaking her fists! She was up on a ladder pulling books down.

"Be careful moving up there! You're going to fall!" Gray called blushing, he saw Natsu just staring at Lucy. From where they stood they could see up her skirt and and her clearly wearing a thong.

"Lucy! We can see your tooshy! And lack of lacey panties!" Happy snickered.

Lucy turned bright red. "Don't look up my skirt you pervy cat!"

"Can't help it!"

"I'm pretty sure you can!"

Erza rolled her eyes, she was carrying a stack of books. "It's not like we have a choice. Since we accidentally destroyed so much of that town." She tried to change the subject. "At the very least, we should be grateful we only have to clean the storage room."

"Yeah Lucy! You did most of the damages! Stop complaining!" Happy said.

Lucy sighed. "I only summoned Aquarius so she could put out the fire that Natsu started!"

Natsu continued to stare upwards. "Natsu! If you're looking at my underwear can you please stop!" She said, looking down, wiping down shelves.

"Get to work Natsu." Erza commented, setting down the books.

"Something is off!" He complained.

Happy stared at his best friend for a moment, something was off. "It's your scarf!" He said realizing it. "Where is it?"

Natsu's eyes widened in recognition. "That's it! Maybe I left it upstairs?" He said rubbing the back of his head. "I'm really spacing out today."

Lucy looked down, examining Natsu. She noticed the lack of said scarf and a scar on his neck. "Can I ask Natsu, how did you get that scar?"

Natsu jerked his head back making a confused face. He touched the scar, "huh, not that you mentioned it. I don't know how I got it."

"Happy do you know how he got it?" Erza asked. Happy shook his head.

Gray and Erza were staring at Natsu. "Hey Natsu, do you think it's that thing you don't want to remember?" Happy asked. Natsu panicked, he crouched down to the floor, holding his head. He was blubbering. "I don't want to bring back those memories!"

Happy was shocked. "Natsu! You're all depressed!"

"That guy….he was a demon." He mumbled.

"What's your problem Flame Brain?"

"That demon! I've never seen such a horrible guy before!"

"Who the heck was SO horrible it scared Natsu?" Gray asked, alarmed. Erza herself felt disturbed. "That's-" Lucy began but the ladder tipped backwards, Lucy screamed.

"LUCY!" They all screamed, diving to catch her. They all collided, their bodies slamming into one another. "Ouch... sorry guys!" Lucy called. A book fell from the shelf landing open. The pages fluttered, as a purple light shot out of the pages.

"What's that!" Gray asked, looking at the book.

"The book!" Erza called trying to sit up.

"It's shining!" Lucy said, scared.

They screamed as they were enveloped in the light. Lucy felt weird. That was the best way she could describe it. She felt almost like she was out of her body. Floating around, in some sort of fluid. She was blinking rapidly when she landed hard on the cobblestone road.

She looked around, her teammates also looked disoriented. They looked at the book laying flat on the ground. "What was that?"

"I don't know. But I don't like it." Gray muttered glaring at his surroundings. They were outside the guild hall but everything looked slightly different.

"Why are we outside?" Natsu asked,he tried to help Lucy up but she screamed in pain. Lucy held on to Natsu. "You ok Luce?"

"And why does everything look slightly off but the same, at the same time?" Gray asked. Natsu was half paying attention to Gray. He looked at Lucy.

"Yeah. Just think I landed on my ankle wrong." She said. She put on a brave face, she was not going to show how much pain she was in.

Natsu looked at her ankle, he cringed. "Looks pretty swollen. We'll have Wendy look at it." Lucy nodded. She tried to get up, balancing on one leg.

"That's not the only thing! Look!" Happy said shocked. They all turned around to look at what Happy was talking about. "What-" Lucy screamed.

"Why does the guild look like how it did years ago?" Gray asked.

Erza looked at the book. "Could it be because of this book?"

Lucy marveled, she was looking around. She squinted she saw what looked like people coming out the front door. "Quick! Let's hide!" She said scrambling to get out of sight. The rest of her team ran. They hid behind boxes.

They gasped as younger versions of Erza, Gray, and Natsu all came out.

"So there's two of you today?" Erza smirked.

"I alone should be enough!" Natsu said.

"I should be saying that!" Gray demanded.

"Today I will for sure!" Natsu said fist in the air ready to hit Gray.

"Beat Erza!" Gray screamed, also lunging at the girl. Erza smirked as she saw the two boys descend upon her. The older versions of themselves watched in horror as she beat them both senseless.

"What's this?" Lucy asked, confused. "A younger version of you guys?" Her hands on her hips.

"Could it be?" Happy asked, scared. He didn't want to believe it.

"What?"

"That we've been sent back in time?"

Lucy squeaked. That wasn't good….

"What's this? Are we done already?" The younger Erza asked.

"The past? There's no way!" Lucy said looking at the kid versions of her team. "Are we really in the past?"

"What do we do? First, we should stay calm…" Lucy said to herself.

Lucy looked at her companions who seemed unbothered by the fact that they were stuck in the past. "What do you think you're doing to us!" They screamed.

Erza didn't seem to notice though. She blushed heavily, "I still remember days like these," she whispered. Her eyes were soft. "I would always say: Get up. Don't give up. Stand on your feet."

Natsu and Gray blushed, they were feeling a tad nostalgic. They watched a younger version of Erza turn around to face their younger selves. The younger Erza looked down, she kicked Natsu and Gray in the chin. "GET UP STAND ON YOUR FEET!"

"THAT'S HOW WE REMEMBER IT!" Natsu and Gray screamed behind a frowning Erza.

"I didn't say I was nice about it. Just that I said it."

"WHO ATE MY CAKE!" Young Erza screamed, running around chasing the boys kicking their behinds.

"Not me!" Natsu screamed trying to knock Gray in the way so he would take Erza's blows and not him.

"It was Natsu!" Gray screamed.

"Obviously not!" Natsu said kicking Gray down so Erza could beat him instead.

Erza screamed. "I was really looking forward to that cake I'd been saving."

"We didn't know!"

"Wait!"

Lucy from her hiding spot smiled. "Everybody is so cute!"

Gray smacked his head against a crate. "Even when we were little she was always aggressive."

Natsu looked at Erza like he was nuts. "Have you forgotten that?"

"Run Natsu! RUN!" Happy screamed. He was watching Erza pin down Natsu smacking him repeatedly.

"This isn't the time for reminiscing." Erza scowled. "We need to find a way back to our own world." Natsu and Gray were not paying attention. They were cheering their younger selves on.

"Why? I think it's fine. Let's just look around a bit."

Gray smiled broadly. "Fine by me!"

Erza glowered at them. "You idiots! Haven't you ever heard of time paradoxes?"

"Time paradoxes?" Happy asked confused.

Lucy grabbed her chin, "I've heard of them in books. But that's about it. Happy, it's when the past and the future come together at the same time. When you mess with something in the past it can have serious consequences in the future. Called a butterfly effect."

"If we do something to alter this world, if there is a possibility that we change something in this world we could change everything in the future. Listen up. Gray, Natsu…" Erza said looking down. Lucy jumped back. Natsu and Gray were gone. "They are gone already? Even Happy."

Erza turned blue from anger. "Those guys...Lucy go and find them. I will stay here to decipher this book." Lucy nodded in fear.

"Yes. I'll get going." Lucy was about to run off when Erza stopped her. Before Lucy could do anything, she felt a weird sensation come over her. She felt thick and heavy, when she looked down all she saw was a bright light. She looked down at her outfit, she looked like some showgirl with bunny ears and a tail.

"There. Now you won't attract any attention."

"Are you kidding! I'll attract more attention!" Lucy looked up to see Erza in a catsuit.

"But no one will realize you're Lucy!"

"But I'm not even a part of the guild yet!"

"Yes. However, people you meet here will see you again. And any contact we make could be very dangerous."

Lucy sighed loudly. "Can't we have normal clothing."

"This is really embarrassing to be seen in."

"I would give you other options, but because we switched timelines, I'm only able to summon these."

Lucy glared. "Why do you even have these?"

Erza blushed but did not answer. "Would you prefer the cat?"

"No. For once I want to be more covered. Where are my clothes?"

"Sorry I tossed them out."

Lucy's eyes widen. "You did what!"

Lucy somehow in her wanderings ended up in the guild hall. Lucy was amazed the guild was just as lively yet with people she'd never seen before and people that she had seen, like Macao and Wakaba but younger now. She backed herself against a wine barrel stack near the entrance when she saw Mira jump on Macao and Wakaba. 'Isn't that Mira-san? My God she was a terror!' She shrunk back further, finding a wine barrel to hide behind.

'That must be Elfman and Lisanna.' She thought, seeing a young boy in a blue suit and a younger girl that looked like Mira, but with short hair walking up to Mira.

"She was chasing Natsu and Gray earlier." A young Elfman said.

"What! I ate her cake so I could get into a fight with her!"

Lucy smirked, 'so that's where the cake went!'

The youngest Strauss put her hands on the table. "Mira-nee, that's just mean."

"Well if she ran away that means this fight is my victory!" She laughed. Elfman and Lisanna were confused. "How does this mean you won?"

Lucy looked away from them and the pain looks Wakaba and Macao were sporting. She saw Cana and Levy playing chess. "One more time! This time no magic!" She saw a little Levy say. They looked so cute and innocent. She turned around to see Reedus painting. "He's so thin!'

She looked around again, this time she saw Jet and Droy. "Hey, Droy, do you want to team up?" Lucy had to stifle a giggle. He was moving and zipping around. His spikey orange hair all over the place.

"I don't want to be in a team of just boys! Let's have a girl join."

"Then how about Levy."

Lucy awed.

"Levy? But she's so small…"

Lucy giggled. 'The moment Shadow Gear was formed!'

Lucy gasped when she saw Laxus. He looked hot. He had his hands behind his head, and his headphones on. He wasn't as muscular as when she first met him...which she was kinda digging. His gray eyes were watching the guild lazily. "This is so boring! Isn't there anything interesting around here?" She overheard him asking. She saw him look down at a piece of paper that was crumpled on the ground.

"I guess I'll go guess with Natsu, I guess." He shrugged walking away. Lucy admired his butt, she was definitely digging the younger version of Laxus. 'But why does a crumpled up piece of paper remind him of Natsu?'

She marveled around the guild, everyone was so young! Her eyes kept on traveling back to watching Laxus. His arm muscles were on display now as he helped Wakaba move a wine barrel. She shook her head.

Erza's words popped into her head about talking to no one." She nodded silently. 'Ok gotta find Natsu! Where could they have gone!'

"Oh look it's a bunny girl!"

She froze. She recognized that voice. "

"Bunny-chan!"

Lucy froze as everyone turned to look at her. Laxus turned around and stared at the bunny girl. He slowly put down the wine barrel as he saw men clamor around the girl. When he asked for something interesting he didn't mean this...

Lucy was blushing as Makarov pulled her around. "Master- sir! You're hurting my hand! Besides I can't stay here- KYAH!" She was dragged to the bar, she slightly tilted her head to the side only to giggle at how adorable everyone was. She was limping on her bad ankle.

'This is a version of Fairy Tail that I've never been able to see or be a part of.'

"U-um, Master Makarov? I'm quite busy and I think I may have to go back before my…shift is over! And, oh dear look at the time! I really must go…. " Lucy struggled to release her hand from Master's steel grip while blushing furiously at her lame explanation.

"Shift? Shift for what?" Makarov waggled his eyebrows suggestively.

"I'm a server! At a restaurant! We wear costumes!" She said, thinking of a lie. She remembered a mission where she wore outfits similar like this with Erza.

"Oh? Where do you work honey? I gotta make sure to come by when you're working?" Wakaba leered at her.

Lucy blanched. "Look I'm sorry I just always wanted to see the inside of the guildhall and I've been caught!" She pulled her hand free. "I gotta go now!" Her face was a pretty crimson shade, Lucy mentally beat the crap out of that old-but-turned-still-old-but-now-young man in her imaginative head.

"Now, now, there's no shame in visiting our guild, we don't bite, well not too much," he winked at her. Lucy backed away. 'You have got to be kidding.'

"Hmmmmm.. but we can't let you go just like that! Dance for us, bunny girl! Then we'll let you go!" Makarov grinned lecherously. "I'll write a letter to your employer too! Saying you were doing a favor for Fairy Tail!"

'Oh the nerve of that little old pervert!' Right when she was about to open her mouth, a voice cut through the howls and laughter in the guild.

"Jiji. Just let the woman go."

Lucy froze. That sounded like the younger Laxus! She turned around and sure enough it was. He stared down at her. Lucy felt uncomfortable. He was attractive like this, she thought. Much better looking without that cheetah shirt...oh and without the crazy angry look in his eyes….

He stood a few steps away with two hands in his pockets, faint music could be heard through his soundpods dangling around his neck. Lucy blushed, she was amazed. How much younger, carefree and relaxed he looked. He was still a few inches taller than her, he must have grown a few more inches 7 years later, cause he was taller when she met him in her timeline. And his face showed no emotion. He was so young yet so… attractive…

'Oh my God what if I just found him attractive and he's like younger than me? Does that make me a pedophile?' She could see it now…."Lucky Lucy Heartfilia with Pedophilia!" She face palmed internally Something's should never be thought of into existence.

The lightning mage only stared at the girl. She was attractive and everything he ever wanted in a woman. He only felt slightly bad checking out her boobs. He watched her turn back around and nodded fervently at his grandfather, both to show her agreement with the young man and to rid her head of whatever thoughts were in her head regarding the handsome person behind her. "Laxus is right! I really should be leaving now!" Lucy zoomed out of the guild, bumping slightly into Laxus on her way out. She limped on her way out. 'Fuck!' She rarely cursed, but this seemed appropriate.

The young teenager raised an eyebrow as he looked after the woman running out the guild hall, her ass bouncing as she grew smaller in the distance. 'How did she know my name?'

He closed his eyes and sniffed the air around his arm where Lucy bumped into him. Strawberry and Vanilla. He hated how much he liked it.

Lucy was limping down the road, looking for her teammates. Where did Natsu and Gray goto? And where did Erza goto? She should be the easiest to find in that cat costume! She looked around and sighed. Her ankle was killing her. She decided to sit down. Sitting in a grassy area with a single oak tree majestically standing its ground. She winced slightly. "Owwww…" she groaned as she pulled her hips up to rip off that bunny tail stuck to her costume. The little ball attached to her costume wasn't cotton at all, and when she sat down on top of it, it dug into her skin under the red fabric covering her lower back. 'Where does Erza get these things?'

She lowered her hips while she closed her eyes and sighed. This is taking a long time, I wish they would just find me instead of the other way around.

"So..I didn't realize this was a restaurant." She heard a cocky voice call out to her. She stiffened.

"Laxus!" She squeaked, opening her eyes. She stared directly at a pair of legs right in front of her. She moved her eyes upwards from the green pants, towards the mustard shirt and finally to a handsome face.

He stared at her, eyebrows furrowing. "Another thing! How do you know my name? I don't like it when someone knows my name and I don't know there's. How do you know me!" It wasn't a question. It was a demand.

His eyes slowly moved down her slender neckline only to stop at creamy cleavage, he wished he could bury his face into them. They looked soft and firm. The woman's breasts were threatening to spill from the tight fabric clenching her chest together, and he smirked inwardly. But if she was a spy for his dad. His eyes narrowed dangerously...he never got over his grandfather kicking out his dad. Ivan had said he would send someone to retrieve him and bring him back one day. But was this girl that person?

Lucy didn't realize his perverted gaze and fumbled around for an excuse. "U-um… I know your name because... Someone mentioned it at the guild while pointing at you so, you know, I put two and two together and guessed that your name was Laxus!" Lucy ended up saying quickly.

Laxus took his time drawing his gaze back to the woman's covered face. "I guess you don't know that I have a… a special… ability to hear everything going on at the guild. And no one said my name so I'll give you one last chance. Who are you and how do you know me? Before, I shock you so badly you'll be wishing the Magic Council was punishing you instead."

Lucy looked up and saw his perverted gaze. She held her hands over her chest. "Pervert!"

"Doesn't answer the question." He demanded. But nodded at her comment about his character.

"I can't tell you the truth."

He glared, "why not."

"Because big secrets and time paradoxes."

"What is this Back to the Future?"

"Something like that. But I promise I'm not a spy or someone bad!"

"How do I know I can trust you?" He said suspiciously. He was already starting to crackle. Lucy swallowed, "I would never hurt the guild. I love it. You have to trust me."

"Who are you? Why were you in the guild hall."

"I'm... I'm... theoretically what if I said I'm from the future. I'm in Fairy Tail in the future-"

"I would say you're full of horse shit." He said flatly.

Lucy couldn't help but laugh. Laxus pouted. "I could kill you, you know that right?"

Lucy laughed more nervously. "I know, it's just you haven't changed much personality wise…"

"What the hell does that mean?"

"You're still intimidating and scary-"

"Sounds about right. Your name-"

"I said."

"I said tell me your name!"

"Lucy." She said quietly.

"Assuming that's your real name-"

"It is."

"Yeah. Let's see. I can't really trust that."

"I'm a celestial mage so-"

"What does that have to do with anything."

"It means I can't break promises. My word, it's bound by magic. What I'm deciding to tell you, is the truth.

Laxus nodded. "Ok Lucy. Tell me if you're from the future theoretically, what are you doing in that bunny suit? Time traveled like that?"

"No. I had normal clothes. My companion threw them away. Because she didn't want me to be noticed by anyone. While I'm not in the guild now. I will join it 6 years later…"

"Why weren't you keeping low anyways?" He said sitting down next to her.

"Two of my companions ran off. I was trying to find them."

He glared. "Tell me about you."

Lucy winced. "That's not really-"

He glared at Lucy.

"You'll find out in the future." She huffed.

"What if I don't want to wait that long?"

"Well you're not too interested in knowing who I am in the future anyways. So no problem. You can wait. And it can be a surprise then."

"I want to know now though."

"I kinda want to say too late now buttercup." Laxus was gone. Gone. Gone. No one had seen him since he left.

Laxus glared.

"Look if you're dead set on knowing who I am. Then you can meet me here. Six years from now. We can get a drink or dinner..and I'll explain how I got transported back. And who I am..until then you gotta trust me or leave me alone. I gotta find my friends."

Laxus glared. "If I help you find your friends will you leave?"

Lucy was taken aback. "Why would you do that?"

"To make sure you're not some rat. I don't trust you."

"Are you not going to leave me alone until you help me find my friends?"

"Pretty much buttercup." He said sarcastically.

"Fine! Spark plug!"

Laxus glared.

"So what are your friend's names and what do they look like?" Lucy didn't say anything. She was mumbling to herself.

"She's gonna to kill me! She threatens me to not talk to anyone! And I wind up getting the biggest ass hole known to man!" Lucy mumbled.

"I can hear you!"

"So uh they may be in disguise like me. So I don't know what they look like. If they have any brains…. they'll have a disguise on."

"Do they have brains?"

Lucy thought about it…"one does on a good day...when he's not stripping."

"Wait what?" He asked, confused.
