Ito Aika had always been a quiet child and as an adult she was even more withdrawn. To the point others called her apathetic or gloomy. She was neither of these things, simply quiet as she had nothing to say. Only her brother, Kyo, had ever been able to get anything out of her. And even then her twin had a hard time. He had been the outgoing one, not her. So why then did she survive?

Cherry blossom leaves swirled around, cooler weather was moving in. A orange haired boy sprinted ahead, his glasses perched on the tip of his nose.
"Come on Aika! We're gonna be late!" His excited voice had passerbyers smiling, the fourteen year old a bouncing bundle of energy.
Not to far back a dark blue haired girl followed behind. The colbolt locks fell to her hips, bangs in her eyes as she followed shyly behind him. Aika was technically older, even if it was only by a minute. Yet she felt he was the older more responsible one.
With a bright grin he grabbed her left hand and pulled her along the street to the sports festival. Every year people flocked to watch it, it was rumored that there was a promising kid there that was powerful. Of course the rumors spread every year. She had never told her parents, but she desperately wanted to go to UA next year. Only Kyo knew her deepest desires to help people.
They stepped off the sidewalk to race across the empty street. There was the sound of someone yelling, Aika with her quirk heard it before anyone else would have. As if in slow motion she looked up to see the speeding car.
They never made it to the festival that day.

Blowing out a breath, the blue haired beauty sat at the bar nursing sake. Aika wasnt sure what brought up the anniversary of her brothers death. Maybe the new upcoming sports festival? She wasnt sure, the woman had lost all of her drive when it came to that. Placing some money on the counter she got up and wobbled past the other patrons.
In the back of her mind she knew it wasnt healthy. Kyo would be disappointed to see her drinking to forget, but she honestly did not care. If he didn't want her to drink he should not have left her. Angry tears filled her violet eyes, blaming her dead twin was getting her nowhere. With an angsty sigh she rubbed some tears from her bleary eyes. This is why she should not drink, Aika mused, she became an emotional wreck ever time.
The feeling of one step in front of the other, the soft bits of the seasons first snow beginning to fall, honking horns and chattering people...they were all things that reminded Aika she was alive. They grounded her, kept her focus. With her quirk it could sometimes be overwhelming, but usually it was manageable with her headphones and shades. Other people didn't know that her sensory input was five times there's. How could they when she avoided interaction? Kyo would be furious with me, she thought.
Her twin had always pushed for her to be open and friendly, he wanted her to have friends. And sure she graduated hero school for him, but it wasn't the same. She had outgrown him, he would never grow old. Never throw another wad of paper at her head or tease her. She was the big sister...just like she always wanted. But it wasn't worth it without him being there. Lips tugging down she drew in a breath and forced herself to focus on her surroundings...as much as her alcohol riddled brain could at least.
Aika was broken from her thoughts when she bumped into someone. A soft noise of surprise escaping her as violet eyes met green.
"I'm so sorry please forgive me." She mumbled shyly and quickly bowed.
"Hey there little listener! It's cool, you good?" He was tall, taller than her by quite a bit. Slender and his blonde hair somehow stood strait up. It's defying gravity...how? The thought almost gave her existential crisis, because...how did that work? If he wasn't so loud she would think a gravity quirk, but with the volume and looks she knew it had to be Present Mic. He was all over TV after all. And not that she would admit it, but she loved his late night radio show. Aiko was not addicted to the sound of his voice or the topics...and he had good music taste. Shaking the thoughts away, her ears going red, the young woman smiled tentatively and nodded.
"Present Mic, quiet down." A calm voice came from beside him. Where Present Mic was loud and bold, the one beside him was muted and quiet. Yet his eyes when they locked with hers seemed to see everything. There was a calculated look as they narrowed, her own widening as she looked away.
"I-it's ok, sorry!" She stepped around, head bowed and made a quick getaway. She should sleep off the alcohol and go patrolling tonight, she thought. After all, it had been a week since she last did a patrol. Guilt nawled at her stomach, how many people had she let down by dwelling on her brother's anniversary?

"She was so quiet!" Hizashi chirped sadly to his best friend, "Did I do something wrong? Do I stink or something?!"
The other man sighed and continued walking, grumpily pushing his hands into his pockets.
"No, she seemed sensitive to noise. Probably an audible quirk of some kind." The look of bewilderment on his companions face made him sigh again.
"We should go get drinks!" Hizashi suddenly sang the words, shooting finger guns at Shouta. The man grunted and eyed the obnoxious blond beside him.
"We just left a bar...and you clearly have had enough." He said smoothly.
"So? You clearly have not!" Hizashi practically screamed getting mixed looks of annoyance and amusement, not that he ever noticed.
"Fine. But I'm leaving if you get to rowdy." The excited YEAH could be heard for miles.

So I wanted to try my hand at this and make a fresh character who is kind of badass if not mopey. I would like to hear everyone's opinions! I just started season 3 of My Hero Academia and I'm in love.
Let me know what yall think! Also, I'm taking hero name suggestions. It's a sensory quirk, kind of like good ear. But all five senses are enhanced five times the average person's. Mix that with a mild healing factor and you've got Aika.
