DISCLAIMER: I do not own Beverly Hills 90210 or any of the characters involved in this story.

Author's Note:

For those of you who aren't familiar with my stories, I strongly recommend that you read the two BH90210 stories that I have previously written which are Peanut Butter & Jealousy and A fine line between love and success before you read this one. Otherwise a lot of what takes place here might not make sense to you, as this is the final sequel to those two stories.

My original story Peanut Butter & Jealousy, took place in an alternate version of season 3 which primarily focused on a friendship formed between Brenda Walsh and Scott Scanlon (who in my version of the story did not accidently shoot and kill himself in season 2), after Dylan had chosen Kelly over Brenda. After finishing that story, I wrote an alternate season 4 story entitled A fine line between love and success which is an alternate season 4 storyline that branched out to involve other characters more like Kelly, Dylan, and Brandon. It ended with several cliff hangers. I had always intended to end the whole thing with an alternate season 5 story entitled "Hurricane Valerie." However, after writing the first 4 or 5 chapters of that story, stuff in real life began to happen and I just never got back into writing it. So, the entire story and the characters have sat dormant for about 7 or 8 years and never had their cliff hangers resolved, until now.

Lately, certain circumstances have dictated that I stay home. And to keep from going crazy, I started watching old BH90210 episodes on DVD and it renewed my desire to write fanfiction and wrap this story up once and for all. Now I'm not going to write the entire season 5 story out. It would just take way too long to do that and I just don't have the energy for it. That's one thing about the last story I wrote that kind of made me stop writing for so long. It turned out to be way longer than what I anticipated and wound up taking me a much longer time to finish.

But while I'm not going to write out all of my alternate season 5 take, I have decided that I am going to write the ending of it which consists of a Brenda/Dylan wedding. I'm mainly doing this just to make myself feel better because I hate leaving things unfinished and I want to give all the characters an appropriate ending after all the effort it took to write the previous two stories. Plus the wedding part was the one part I couldn't wait to get to, but I had so much other stuff to write to set it up that I just gradually lost interest.

The main focus of the final chapter of the trilogy will be Brenda & Dylan's wedding. There will be two side stories involved. One side story will involve Scott, who those who are familiar with my previous stories will know, has had a lot of heartbreak in the romance department. But he now appears to have found true love in the form of Tracy Gaylian (Brandon's season 7 girlfriend on the actual show). However, there is some uncertainty regarding their relationship which will be addressed in this story. There will also be a side story involving Brandon & Kelly who you will learn both have had an exceedingly difficult year with their relationship since hooking up at the end of A fine line between love & success.

The story picks up the day before Brenda & Dylan's wedding in Palm Springs at the end of what would be an alternate season 5. They are happy and plan to start a new life in London after getting married. But they won't be without their conflict as a certain member of the gang will make a last ditch effort to try to stop the wedding from taking place. I have to have some conflict in my stories. If you're someone who wants everything to be sunshine and rainbows all the time, you probably won't like my stories. But they're usually worth it in the end.

Finally, if you want to read about what has taken place in between the ending of a fine line between love and success and the start of this story, then please check out the season 5 summary I wrote at the end of a fine line. It will explain everything.

It is a beautiful morning in Palm Springs. The sun is shining through the hotel window where Brenda is sleeping in a large king size bed. Right next to her, Dylan has already been awake for an hour and has showered before hopping back in bed with his fiancé. He is sitting up and reading the newspaper. He breezes through the business section before glancing over at Brenda who is still sound asleep.

As he looks at Brenda, who is wearing only a black silk nightgown, he thinks of how ironic it is that the two of them are going to be married tomorrow in the very same place that almost ended their entire relationship five years ago during the Walsh's first year out in Beverly Hills.

As Brenda rolls over and groans, Dylan positions himself to be the first thing she sees when she wakes up. When Brenda slowly begins to open her eyes, she sees the same cute grin and scar under his eyebrow that she's been seeing for the last five years.

"Good Morning, beautiful." Dylan whispers to her. Brenda begins to smile and then laugh.

"And what are we all happy and smiley about this morning?" Brenda playfully responds to him.

"Well, why shouldn't I be happy? The sun's out. We got a beautiful luxury penthouse suite here that overlooks the pool. All our friends and family are staying with us in this same hotel. And I got the best view in the house, because I'm looking at the most beautiful woman here, who in just about 36 hours will be my wife." Dylan says as he leans in and kisses Brenda firmly on the lips as she moans slightly. "You have to admit, Bren. This big comfy bed sure beats the hell out of sleeping in a linen closet."

"Linen closet?" Brenda says as she starts to laugh hysterically. "Where did that come from?"

"Oh, come on. Don't tell me you forgot the first night you spent in Palm Springs back when we were in high school. Don't you remember? It was spring break. You came down here to spend the weekend with me. But you forgot the name of that hotel I was staying at. And the bellboy set up a cot in the linen closet because you lost your wallet." Dylan says as both he and Brenda start to laugh.

"Oh yeah, I remember that." Brenda replies. "Then when I finally found you, we had that big misunderstanding when I saw that girl, what was her name.?"

"Janie." Dylan answers.

"Yeah, that's right, Janie. I saw her in your room and I totally flipped out." Brenda says.

"And if memory serves me correctly, you said you never wanted to see me again." Dylan says. Brenda nods as the smile disappears.

"I did. DIdn't I? And unfortunately, that wouldn't be the last time I said those words to you." Brenda says.

"Just think about it, Bren. If someone had told you right there, that you'd be marrying this same guy who you never wanted to see again just four years later?" Dylan says as he leans in to kiss Brenda again.

"I would have told them either they were crazy for saying it or I would be crazy for doing it." Brenda says as she kisses him hard and firm on the lips. The two of them begin a series of several long passionate kisses there on the bed with open mouths as Brenda softly moans before finally breaking away from it. "I wish we could just stay in bed all day." Brenda says.

"Yeah me too." Dylan says as he kisses her once more. "But there will be plenty of time for that when we get to the Bahamas for our honeymoon, and then after that we got, oh I don't know, the rest of our lives."

"I know. And you're right." Brenda says as she smiles. "Today is about spending the day with our friends." Brenda says. She pauses for a moment and then realizes something in her mind. "Oh gosh." she says.

"What? What's wrong?" asks a concerned Dylan.

"I just realized something." replies Brenda.

"What?" asks Dylan.

"Today and tomorrow could very easily be the last time all of our friends are together in one place." Brenda says.

"You're just now realizing this?" Dylan asks as he snickers.

"Well, I've known it. But it's just that I've been so busy with planning our wedding and all that I never really had time to think about it." Brenda says. "I mean we're going directly to London after our honeymoon. Andrea and Jesse are moving. And now just out of the blue, I find out my parents are going to Hong Kong. And after that, you know one by one they'll each get into their own thing and move on. Poor Brandon, he's going to be the last Walsh left in Beverly Hills."

"Oh come on. You know B. He'll be all right. In fact, I'm willing to bet he's going to have the time of his life once you and Jim and Cindy are all gone. He won't have anyone looking over his shoulder anymore. He'll be fine. Infact, I'll wager it won't more than a month or so, maybe even a week before he and Kelly get back together. Now that she finally is over the guilt about what happened at that house fire and everything." Dylan says.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. And even if they don't get back together, I know Brandon. He'll find some way to keep himself busy. He always make friends wherever he goes." Brenda says. "It's Scott I'm kind of worried about though. He and I have been looking out for each other for two years now, especially when I became his roommate. Now I'll be gone and he'll be all alone."

Dylan sighs. "Come on Bren, We've been through this a hundred times. He'll still have Brandon and Kelly and David and Donna around."

"Yeah, I know. But they'll never look after him quite like I did. I mean you know there are plenty more girls like Valerie on campus who will take advantage of a good-hearted guy like him in a second if given half the chance." Brenda says.

"Uhm, Bren, the kid has a girlfriend now. I kind of think that's her department to look out for him. You know who I'm talking about. The one who had such a huge crush on Brandon until she found out he was still carrying a torch for Kelly. What is her name again? Stacey or something?"

"Tracy. Tracy Gaylian. Jeez Dylan, she's one of my bridesmaids, you should at least know her name." Brenda says in frustration.

"Sorry, you know I've never been good with names." Dylan says as he gets up off of the bed. He has on nothing but a pair of boxer shorts, but he starts to get dressed. "Anyways, Scott has Tracy now to look after him and keep the Valerie vixens of the world away. And from what you've told me, she loves him as much as he loves her. Right?"

"Yeah. I mean don't get me wrong. From what I know about her, I think Tracy is perfect for Scott. She's warm, caring, and sensitive to him. He likes the country and she's from the country. She's takes commitment seriously, just like him. And to top it off, both of them have at one time had a huge crush on one of us Walsh kids. Infact, when Kelly and I introduced the two of them, we both had a feeling they'd find common ground there." Brenda explains

Dylan shrugs as he puts an undershirt on. "So, what's the problem then?"

"The problem is, Dylan, that I just don't want to see Scott get his heart broken again. And I know how quickly he falls in love. I mean, first it was me. Then Kelly. Then evil Valerie had to go and play mind games with him just so she'd get him to loan her money or help her out when she needed a favor. God, just thinking about the way she manipulated and used him makes me want to split her lip open again."

"Yeah, but there's a big difference this time." Dylan says as he puts on a dark sweatshirt. "This time the feeling is mutual with Tracy. You and Kelly didn't want any more than a friendship with Scott. Tracy does, right?"

"I know, Dylan. I know." Brenda says as she hops out of bed and walks over to him. "I just wish I had some kind of guarantee that she's in it with him for the long haul. Then I'd feel a lot better."

"Bren…" Dylan says as he turns to look at her with a raised eyebrow. "There are no guarantees when it comes to love. You and I are a perfect example of that. How many times did something happen that broke us apart but we found our way back?" Dylan says as puts his hands on Brenda's shoulders.

"Too many to count." Brenda says. Dylan smiles at her.

"Exactly. Sometimes you just got trust fate. But if you're that worried about it, maybe you should talk to Tracy today. Because well, let's face it, you're not going to have too many more opportunities to talk to her one on one." Dylan says. Brenda takes a deep breath as she takes in everything Dylan just said. It's really Brenda just now that after tomorrow, the people who have been her whole life and her whole world for the last 5 years will no longer be around all the time.

Kelly and Donna won't be there to talk and give advice. Scott will no longer be there for her to share things that she knows will be kept secret. Brandon will no longer be just one restroom over to talk anytime she wants.

Though for the past year Valerie has had that. When she moved to England, Valerie took over her room. And when she was forced to return home because of Dylan's drug addiction and near fatal car accident, her parents told her that she had to share her old room with Valerie. But after finding out that Valerie had been sleeping with Dylan and getting high with him as well as pretending to like Scott only to fool around on him with Dylan behind his back, Brenda refused to stay in the same house, let alone the same room with Valerie.

And for the past several months, Brenda had been Scott's platonic roommate. When Scott started college, he and David got an apartment together after Kelly and Donna kicked David out of the beach house. But then, David decided he wanted to move back on campus. Being in the position of finding a new roommate fast or having to move back home with his overbearing, Scott offered Brenda David's old room where he had been staying and she accepted.

But now, the realization is setting in. Beverly Hills and everyone here would be a part of her past in just a few days. Her future would be with Dylan in England where she would be moving and returning to RADA to start over.

"I can not believe that by tomorrow night I will be Mrs. Brenda McKay." Brenda says as she goes up to Dylan's back and wraps her arms around him, resting her head on his shoulders.

"That is pretty unbelievable, isn't it? Especially after all we've been through this past year." Dylan says. "I mean when I think of where I was nine months ago. Having Suzanne and Kevin rip me off and leave me broke. I fell apart, got addicted to meth and heroine. Got hooked up with Valerie which only made it worse. Then I almost died in that car wreck." Dylan says.

"I know." Brenda says. "I was never more scared in my life than I was. I was literally just getting in the taxi to go to the airport and fly back to London when we got the news. I knew right then and there that I couldn't leave. Not with you like that. And even though it wound up getting me expelled from of the academy, I'll always know I made the right choice."

"That's all it takes, Bren. Just a little faith." Dylan says smiling at her as she smiles back. He leans in and kisses her again. "Besides, once you and I give Scott that surprise at the wedding reception, it'll all work out. Trust me."

"I've been meaning to ask you about that. Are you sure you're okay it, Dylan?" Brenda asks.

"Hey, if I wasn't sure, I wouldn't be doing it." Dylan replies. "Plus, I got a little surprise for Brandon as well."

"And what surprise might that be?" asks Brenda.

"Just a little going away present for our favorite Minnesota boy scout." Dylan says with a smile. "Anyways, speaking of Brandon, I'm supposed to be meeting him downstairs shortly." Dylan says as he walks over to the nearest mirror to check out his appearance.

"Yeah, and I have to be ready for when Kelly, Donna, and the girls show up." Brenda says.

"So what exactly is it they got planned for you today?" Dylan asks.

"Well let's see. First just Kelly, Donna, and Andrea are taking me to a spa for a massage and manicure. It's going to be a final Peach Pit Sorority meeting as both Andrea and I are going to be leaving. Then we're going to meet up with the rest of the girls back here for a bridal shower. Then we're going to go out to dinner. And then they're supposed to be taking me to this real happening dance club, but I told them not too late because I want to make sure I'm well rested for tomorrow." Brenda explains.

"So who all is going?" asks Dylan.

"Let's see. Myself, Kelly, Donna, Andrea, Tracy, Clare, and Nicole." answers Brenda.

"Nicole, your old roommate from London is in town for the wedding? Far out. No Valerie though, right?" Dylan asks in a joking manner. Brenda snickers.

"Please, Dylan. Kelly and I both agreed that if she gets within a mile of us tonight, we'll both bail." Brenda says.

"Then why did you invite her to the wedding in the first place?" Dylan asks. Brenda sighs.

"Believe me, I didn't want to. My parents twisted my arm and laid a big guilt trip on me, reminding me of the rough year she's had and how she's practically family. Plus she did go with you and Jonesy to help get your money back from Kevin and Suzanne. So I figured, what the hell. I'll invite her to the wedding, but it doesn't mean I have to be nice to her or anything. Not after what she's put everyone through this past year." Brenda says.

"Man, you ain't kidding. With friends like her, who needs enemies?" Dylan says.

"So, what about you? What do Brandon and Steve have planned for you on your last day as a bachelor?" Brenda asks as she wraps her arms around Dylan and holds him.

"Well, I made it very clear that I didn't want to go to any clubs where there would be drinking, strippers, or anything that would tempt me. So we're just doing breakfast, then an early morning round of golf, and then we're heading out to Lake Hemet for a little swimming, a little fishing, maybe some water skiing, and a cookout. The guys rented me a little mini-cabin where I'm going to spend my last night as a single guy."

"By yourself?" Brenda asks.

"Yeah. They'll all be coming back here to the hotel after the cookout. But me, I just want a nice quiet night by the lake." Dylan says.

"Well, what are you going to do out at the lake all by yourself at night?" asks Brenda.

Dylan shrugs. "A little reading, listening to some music. I brought my Walkman. Just going to lose myself in the moment."

"Yeah, but won't you be lonely? Won't you want someone to snuggle up with in that cozy little cabin?" Brenda says as they begin to kiss passionately again."

"Yeah. I must admit I would. But you know proper wedding etiquette dictates that I don't see you again until you're walking down the aisle." Dylan says.

"Since when does Dylan McKay care about being proper?" Brenda jokes as Dylan laughs. She leans in and kisses him again

"He doesn't." Dylan responds. "He's just trying to keep everyone happy."

"Well in that case, I know one thing he can do to make me happy right now." Brenda says as she grabs Dylan's hand and pulls him back over to where the bed is and begins to kiss his neck.

"Uh Bren, I got to be downstairs to meet Brandon and the guys in like 15 minutes." Dylan says.

"Plenty of time." Brenda replies as she continues to kiss him.

"Uhm, not that I'm complaining, but what exactly is your reason behind this?" Dylan asks.

"Well, this is the last time I'm going to see you as your girlfriend. The next time we're together, I'm going to be your wife. So consider this a going out party. Plus, I'm going to make you so focused on me. That I promise, you won't even be tempted in the least bit, just in case any of the guys do decide to get you a stripper. I know Brandon wouldn't, but I wouldn't put anything past Steve." Brenda says as she starts to pull off Dylan's shirt.

"Well, how are you going to make extra sure?" Dylan asks.

"Just watch me." Brenda says as she pulls Dylan's sweatshirt off and throws it on the floor. The two then begin to kiss again as Dylan picks up Brenda and puts her on the bed as the two begin to make out.

It's about an hour later. Dylan had gotten dressed, and went downstairs to the hotel lobby to meet the guys for his bachelor party day. The expected attendees to his bachelor party were his best man Brandon along with his groomsmen which consisted of Steve, David, and Scott. Joining him as well for the bachelor party would be Andrea's husband Jesse, Ray Pruitt who had just recently broken up with Donna, but Dylan and Brenda had hired to perform at their wedding reception, and Nat.

Meanwhile, Brenda is up in the penthouse suite. She has just taken a shower and has come out wearing a white robe from the hotel. She looks around at the suite and admires how luxurious it is. This suite is bigger than her house. She considers the irony in that only 6 weeks ago she was working part time at the peach pit and barely making enough to cover her share of the rent. But now, here she is surrounded by luxury. And the thing is, it's now pocket change for Dylan. Dylan's wealth is now nearly 3 times what it use to be before he got ripped off. Not only did he get his money back from Kevin & Suzanne thanks to the combined effort of Jonesy and Valerie, but the FBI awarded his with an extremely generous cash settlement in the 8 figures after the arrest of Anthony Marchette and because of the foul up that resulted in the death of his father.

As Brenda looks around and admires the luxury that surrounds her, she hears a knock at the door.

"Just a minute!" Brenda shouts. She quickly looks in the mirror to make sure she's decent enough before answering the door. She is as the hotel robe that covers her is very big. Brenda walks to the door and opens it up. She sees a male hotel employee standing there with two very large trays of breakfast food with him.

"Room Service." the employee says. Brenda looks around and is astonished by all the food she sees on the tray as there is enough food there to feed a party of 4.

"Uhm, I'm sorry but you must have the wrong room. I didn't order this." Brenda replies.

"Yeah I know." the man says. "This is compliments of a friend of yours." The man says. Brenda looks at the two large carts of food that consists of eggs, pancakes, French toast and waffles, along with side dishes that include bacon, sausage, hash browns, and an arraignment of bread and pasteries. There is a single rose in a vase in the middle of it. Brenda leans down and sniffs the rose. Immediately she concludes that her fiancé must have arranged this for her.

"Oh Dylan, you shouldn't have." Brenda says out loud with a huge smile on her face. That smile is immediately erased when she hears a familiar voice from someone who has been standing just around the corner and out of sight the entire time.

"He didn't. I did." says Valerie as she comes out from around the corner and enters Brenda's path of vision. Brenda's huge grin turns into a scowl almost at an instant upon seeing Valerie.

"Valerie, what the hell are you doing here?" barks Brenda. Valerie shrugs.

"I just want to make sure our bride to be starts her day off with a nice healthy breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day after all." Valerie says in an almost mocking tone. Immediately Brenda knows that something is up. She's tempted right there to pick up something on the tray and shove it in Valerie's face. But she figures it's best if she doesn't make a scene. After all today is her bachelorette party day with the girls and the last thing she wants to do is to start off the day by fighting or having to deal with the law. Brenda rolls her eyes and throws up her hands and walks back into her suite. Valerie watches her frustrated reaction and grins, knowing she's already gotten under Brenda's skin.

"You can just bring those right on inside and set them up next to the table." Valerie tells the room service employee. The man wheels the cart in and places them next to the dining table in the suite. At that point, Valerie pulls a $20 bill out of her purse and hands it to the man for a tip. "Thanks." he says. The employee leaves the room, leaving Brenda and Valerie alone.

Valerie prepares two plates at the dining table and then sits down herself with a devilish grin on her face. Brenda just stands there with her arms folded, taking an unwelcoming posture while glaring at Val the entire time.

"Well go on, dig in." Valerie says as she starts to grab some breakfast food from off the tray and put it on a plate for herself.

"No thank you. I don't have much of an appetite right now." Brenda says in a calm yet hostile and unwelcoming tone.

"Oh come on. This hotel is supposed to have one of the best breakfast menus in all of Palm Springs." Valerie replies.

"It's not the food, it's the company that's the problem." Brenda says. "Look Val, my parents twisted my arm to get me to invite you. But what I want to know is why would you even want to make the drive down here to come to this wedding, let alone shell out what must be over $100 in food here and have breakfast with me when you know darn well that the very sight of you makes me want to strangle you with my bare hands." Brenda says in a serious manner. Valerie giggles in a way that's almost taunting manner while eating a piece of bacon as Brenda spews out her feelings of utter contempt towards Val.

"You know, such pent-up hostility and bitterness this close to your wedding is not a good sign. In fact, I think I remember reading in my psychology statistics course that women with suppressed rage are three times more likely to get divorced within the first 2 years of their marriage as opposed to…." Valerie says calmly yet mockingly.

"Oh cut the crap, Val. The only hostility I have is towards you and everything you've done this past year." Brenda replies aggressively.

"Me? Why Brenda, we use to be the best of friends when we were kids back in Minnesota. What could I have possibly done to make you hate me this much?" Valerie asks as she continues to eat at the dining table. Brenda snickers and shakes her head at Valerie's arrogance. Brenda sits down at the dining table directly across from Valerie but doesn't eat anything.

"Oh just a few things." Brenda says with a smirk on her face.

"Really? Like what?" Valerie replies as she starts cutting some pancakes that she has on her plate.

"Well, let's see. Off the top of my head, you moved into my house, into my room, where it took you all of what 2 weeks before you started sleeping with my boyfriend and soon to be husband. And this was after you knew my history with him. During this same period of time, you pretended to like one of my closest friends, Scott, got him to fall head over heels for you just to make him vulnerable enough to lend you money so you could help Dylan get his hands on more drugs and alcohol. Then when you found out Dylan lost all his money, you suddenly lost all interest in him and sunk your claws into Donna's new boyfriend, Ray, causing them to break up just a few weeks ago when she found out. You also did everything you could to break up Kelly and Brandon. Because after the fire when Kelly decided she needed a break from dating to deal with her emotional state, you did all you could to push Brandon and Tracy together just to get back at Kelly for exposing your true self to Brandon, Scott, and everyone else." Brenda explains. "Gosh Valerie, you're right, what possible reason could I have not to like such a sweet and enduring person like yourself." Brenda says sarcastically. Valerie just sits there grinning slightly at Brenda. "What's so funny?" Brenda asks.

"You, Brenda. Your hypocrisy is amazing." Valerie explains as she takes a bite of her pancakes. "I mean, correct me if I'm wrong but didn't you have your own problems with Kelly just a couple of years ago? Didn't she start fooling around with Dylan while you and Donna were in Paris and then ultimately, he wound up picking her over you?"

At that point, Brenda's face turns serious. Val smiles as she can tell that this reminder struck a nerve in Brenda.

"That was a long time ago." Brenda replies.

"Not that long. Just two years." Valerie says as she shrugs. "Oh and didn't she also stab you in the back last year and try to take your part in that play? And I believe she not only stabbed you in the back but she tried to twist the knife by picking Dylan as her scene partner in the audition. Am I right?" Valerie says. Even though Valerie wasn't around when this stuff occurred, she has done a lot of digging around in her year at California University and has learned a lot about Brenda, Kelly, and Dylan's pasts and their history with one another.

"Yeah. So what?" Brenda replies.

"So, you went and you forgave Kelly for everything like nothing ever happened and now you two are B-F-Fs once again. Hell, you even chose her to be your maid of honor. Excuse me if I puke just saying that. But as for me, someone who has known you a lot longer, you're going to carry your ax to grind with me to the grave?" Valerie says. "Nothing like selective forgiveness, huh Bren?"

"That's right, Val. I do forgive Kelly. But I can't and won't forgive you." Brenda says. "Kelly made some mistakes, but she admitted them. She's apologized for them. And she's shown that she is capable of thinking about somebody besides herself. Kelly may have hurt me in the past, but I know deep down she has a good heart. You on the other hand have a heart that doesn't pump blood, it pumps snake venom."

Valerie glares at Brenda for a moment before speaking. "Look, I know you got a busy day planned. So, I won't take up too much more of your time. But I do have one thing I'd like to ask you, Brenda. Just out of my sheer curiosity, how is you and Dylan's sex life these days?"

Brenda rolls her eyes and shakes her head. "Well, I'll tell you, just to satisfy your morbid curiosity…" Brenda says as she pauses for a moment, and leans into the table, her face turning serious. "That's none of your damn business." Brenda replies. Valerie finishes eating the last of her food and looks back up Brenda with a grin of arrogance on her face. "Besides, why do you care anyways? After the wedding tomorrow, Dylan and I are riding back to Los Angeles, getting on a plane, going on our honeymoon, and then it's off to London where thank God I'll never have to see your face again for as long as I live."

"Well, congratulations, Brenda." Valerie says as she puts her silverware on her plate and then crosses her legs and sits back in her chair. "You got everything you use to tell me you wanted back when we were kids playing in the sandbox out back. You got a rich husband, the man of your dreams, and you're going back to London to get another chance at becoming a famous actress. I guess you couldn't be happier?"

"That's right, I couldn't. I'm going to live out my dream with the man I love. Now if you will excuse me, I got better things to do today than waste my time having this pointless conversation with you." Brenda says as she starts to get up.

"You know, you really have to wonder. How long do you think he's going to be able to live like that?" Valerie asks.

"What are you talking about?" Brenda answers.

"Dylan." Valerie says back. "I mean with all that money he has now. He's worth almost a hundred million dollars from what I understand. With all that dough, do you really think he's going to be happy living the quaint little life in London while you go to class? I mean can you really see Dylan drinking tea and eating crumpets at 2 in the afternoon everyday and reading novels by a fire while his little wife goes out to class all day? Please Brenda, if you really think that then all this California sun you've been getting for the last five years has fried your brain."

At that point, Brenda starts to get on the defensive. While she knows Valerie is a liar, there is an element of truth to what she is saying.

"What are you trying to say, Valerie? Are you suggesting that Dylan can't be happy living a life with me?" Brenda asks. Valerie at this point begins to laugh.

"I'm saying that you know as well as I do that Dylan McKay will never be content just to settle down some place with one woman. He needs excitement and adventure. He needs something to stimulate that manliness that makes him what he is. And well, I hate to be the one to break this to you, Bren, but I'm afraid that you fall just a little short in that department." Valerie says.

"Oh, and I suppose you go the extra mile?" Brenda responds as she rolls her eyes.

"Hey! I did things to Dylan that nobody else ever had. I took him places that he had never been before. I opened up a whole new world for him, one that he didn't even know existed. In fact, one night after making love, he told me that he had never seen anybody with the kind of stamina that I had." Valerie says in a tauntingly mocking way.

"Oh, you're sick, Valerie." scoffs Brenda. "You seriously need to get some professional help."

"And you need to stop kidding yourself. It will only be a matter of time before Dylan grows bored of you and gets eyes for another woman. Someone who is exciting and exotic. Someone who will please and satisfy his every desire. Someone who he will ache for." replies Valerie.

"Oh, like you?" Brenda replies.

"Maybe me, maybe not, but it sure as hell won't be you." Valerie says.

"Oh no? Let me tell you something, Val. Dylan and I have a deep and abiding love for one another. It's about love with me and him. That's something you will never understand. We have history. It's a history that's built on trust. And that is something that you would know absolutely nothing about, because there isn't a person coming to the wedding tomorrow that would trust you any further than they can throw you." Brenda says to Valerie.

"Well, that's sweet, Brenda, very touching. Really it is. But I'm talking about love and trust here. I never loved Dylan. It was never about love. It's basic physics. He has certain needs that you just can't meet. He needs excitement and adventure, both in his life and in bed. And face the facts, Brenda, you're boring. That's why you and Scott became such good friends, because you're both boring. And you know boring will never fly with Dylan. Not for very long anyways." Valerie says as she grabs her purse off the back of the chair and stands up. "After all, why do you think he picked Kelly over you? Huh? And can you honestly look me in the eye and say for certain that you know he won't do the exact same thing in 6 months if given the opportunity with some hot British babe?"

At this point, Brenda is unable to keep her emotions in check anymore. Valerie knew her weak spot and exploited it flawlessly. While in the past, the fact that he had chosen Kelly when given a choice is still a very sore subject for Brenda. And as much as she hates to admit it, Valerie is right. She doesn't know that Dylan wouldn't do the exact same thing all over again.

"Get out!" Brenda shouts as she stands up and points at the door. "Get the hell out of my room, Valerie! And take your disgusting breakfast with you!"

"What's the matter, Brenda? Did I touch a nerve? Does the truth hurt?" Valerie taunts.

"You are such I bitch. I'm going to…" Brenda says as she starts to march towards Val with the intent on punching her out. But before she reaches Valerie, she hears a knock on the door. She stops cold in her tracks.

"Brenda! Are you awake yet?" she hears Kelly say from the other side of the door as she hears another knock.

"Well, Well, speak of the devil." Valerie whispers to Brenda with a smirk on her face. Gritting her teeth, Brenda restrains from striking out at Valerie and instead turns and walks to the door and opens it. Kelly starts to walk in.

"Oh good, you're up. Listen Donna and Andrea are downstairs having breakfast, and we got to be at the spa by…" Kelly starts to say as she enters the suite wearing a black dress. She stops talking as soon as she sees Valerie. "What the hell is she doing here?"

"Well, well. If it isn't Brenda's own maid of dishonor?" Valerie says, referring to Kelly.

"Oh she was just leaving." Brenda says as she goes over and tries to grab Valerie's arm and jerks it away.

"That's right. I thought I'd just come and have breakfast with our soon to be Mrs. McKay. You know, have a little female bonding before her big day tomorrow. You know, I would have done it today but it seems a certain someone didn't invite me to come along on her bachelorette party." Valerie says to Kelly.

"That's right, Valerie. You weren't invited. Now can you take a hint from that or do I need to draw you a road map?" Kelly replies.

"Hey, I'm leaving. I think Brenda and I have bonded enough for today. I know where I'm not wanted." Valerie says.

"Well if you did, you'd get in your car and go back to L.A. and stay clear of the wedding tomorrow." Kelly says.

Valerie smirks as she walks past Brenda and Kelly. She turns right as she gets to the doorway. "You two enjoy your day together. I'm sure that two best friends like yourselves have a lot of strolling down memory lane to do. Right Brenda?" Valerie says as she glares at Brenda before walking out the door and closing it behind her.

"What the hell was that all about?" Kelly asks. Brenda doesn't answer her but continues to glare at the door. Valerie had succeeded in getting under her skin and inside her head as she now begins to have questions and doubts. She doesn't know for sure if the past will one day rear it's ugly head again. And worst of all, she has doubts about her own ability to keep Dylan satisfied for the rest of his life.

"Hey, are you all right?" asks a concerned Kelly as she reaches out and puts a hand on Brenda's shoulder, trying to be comforting. Brenda sighs before turning her attention to Kelly.

"Yeah, I'm all right." replies Brenda.

"Look, I don't know what Valerie said to you. And I don't want to know. But don't let her get to you." Kelly says. "She may be crazy, but she's smart. She knows how to get inside your mind. Believe me, I know. She's done all she's can this past year to destroy my relationship with Brandon, and she's practically succeeded. This is your time, Brenda. This is you and Dylan's time to remember for the rest of your lives. Don't you dare let that jezebel ruin it for you."

Brenda nods in agreement, though what Valerie said is still ringing fresh in her mind. "You're right, Kelly. I'm not going to let her ruin my wedding or today."

"That's more like it." Kelly says as her face turns into a smile as she hugs Brenda. "Now you go get dressed. Donna and I got a fun-filled day planned out for you on your last day as a single girl, so let's get to it."
