Chapter 2: The White Haired Prodigy (1/2)
12 Years ago:
"Tsunade! My, it's been a while! I didn't expect to see you here."
Jiraiya, the Toad Sage, was on Tanzaku Quarters on a secret mission for his close friend and former apprentice Minato Namikaze. The mission was nothing serious; however, Minato would have done it himself, but unfortunately, the mountains of paperwork required his attention at that particular time. So, he asked Jiraiya to do it for him. When he was enjoying the night before returning to the village in the morning, he ended up seeing his former teammate, Tsunade, losing on gambling like always, he decided to pay her visit.
"Jiraiya? What are you doing here?" Tsunade, who has just pulled the lever on the machine, asked.
"Just grabbing something for Minato from town," he answers, as she loses on the machine.
"Dammit! There it goes, my last penny," Tsunade said, in frustration. "Ah, I need drink!" she complained.
Jiraiya couldn't help but laugh at that. Then, he remembered that as payment for running this small errand for him, Minato had presented him with a very special bottle of sake that he stored. Jiraiya didn't really understand what he meant by very special sake; he just assumed that it was very expensive, or something like that.
"Well, Minato gave me this as a token, for doing this little errand for him," he pulls out the sake bottle, from his pouch. "Would you like to share it with me?"
The Slug Princess hesitated a bit, she knew that the Toad Sage might get some— funny ideas, but unfortunately, her need for a drink was stronger than her disdain for his advances. "Fine, but no funny ideas, Jiraiya."
"Come on Tsunade, you know me," Jiraiya said while making one of his eccentric poses.
"That is exactly why I'm warning you," she spoke, sounding slightly annoyed.
Soon after their conversation finished, they left the casino found a small bench on the street where they took a seat.
"How is Sarutobi doing?" Tsunade asked him.
"Enjoying his retirement to the fullest," Although, this could mean anything to Tsunade. To Jiraiya, it means that he's been accompanying him on some of his "research" and aiding him quite a bit. "He does say repeatably, that he would be a happy man if he never has to do any paperwork again, for the rest of his life."
Tsunade actually laughed a bit. "Well, poor Minato is the one who has to deal with it now," Tsunade joked.
Jiraiya picked up the bottle, poured the sake into two cups, and gave one to Tsunade. "You're really never coming back to the Village?" he asked her.
"No Jiraiya; I'm not going back to that cursed village! I've already lost nearly everyone I ever cared about to it!" she declared, with perseverance.
Jiraiya was wondering if, one day, Tsunade would finally come out of her depression that she had been spiraling down since the loss of her lover, Dan, and her little brother, Nawaki. Not that Jiraiya expected that to ever happen, but one can only hope.
"Okay," he responded with a neutral expression. "Well, for old times' sake?" he spoke, raising his cup.
She exhales a bit before raising her cup, as well.
"Cheers," the two said simultaneously, before gulping down their drinks.
Unknowingly for them, their lives would change forever after those drinks.
"Ooooooooooowwwwwwwwww... my head... by Kami..." The Slug Princess woke up from her sleep, with what she would claim to be the worst hangover she ever had. "How did I come back to my room?" she asked herself, trying to remember what happened last night. "Oh, right," remembering that she bumped into Jiraiya, who offered her some sake he got from Minato. "What kinda sake was that?" she's been drinking sake for years, but none ever gave her a hangover like this. Actually, if she was was completely honest, she didn't remember anything after the first cup.
She tried to stand and stretch a bit, but it proved to be a very difficult task because of the horrible headache. It felt like having ten hangovers at once. Her throat and mouth were so dry it felt like she hadn't drunk water in weeks. Tsunade, at the moment, wanted to kill Jiraiya, for making her go through this. When she finally managed to open her eyes, she noticed something; she was in her bed, but she was naked. "W… what?"
Then, she heard a groan next to her, ever so slowly, she turned her head to look at space on the bed to her right. Trepidation quickly filled her gut more, and more, with every fraction of a second that went by in the process until her brown eyes gazed at the bare back of a man with spiky white hair: the reaction was instantaneous.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" Tsunade screamed as she jumped out of bed and pulled the bed covers with her to cover her modesty. As soon as she pulled the blanket, the man next to her jerked over the side and fell off the bed, crashing onto the floor and causing him to groan again, this time in even more pain than his own previous and quickly interrupted hazy awakening.
After a quick moment, the mystery man slowly sat up from the other side of the bed, holding his head from the same painful hangover, that Tsunade was enduring.
The man's head peeked over the mattress, and Tsunade realized who he was. "What are you doing here, you pervert!" she yelled at her former teammate.
"What?" the man besides her was none other than Jiraiya. "How did I got here? The last thing I remember was sitting on a bench drinking sake," Jiraiya said, scratching his head in deep confusion since he didn't remember anything from last night. "AAAHHHHH... my head," complained Jiraiya, feeling the horrible headache, then, he thought about something. "Very special sake, so that's what Minato meant." At first, when Jiraiya heard Minato say special sake, he simply assumed that he meant very expensive, but now, he thinks Minato meant stronger than regular sake. Stronger indeed. Jiraiya tried to make himself stand up, but the horrible headache made him give up after the first attempt, and just lay there before falling asleep again.
Tsunade noticed that not just her, but Jiraiya was also naked. "That means..." Tsunade came to the conclusion of what they had done last night while drunk, and she felt a burning hatred. "You damn bastard! You took advantage of me when I was too drunk to think straight!" she spoke in a pure state of hatred, pointing accusingly at the Toad Sage.
Jiraiya, who was still on the ground unconscious, didn't seem to have heard.
Unfortunately (for Jiraiya), Tsunade, in pure hatred, grabbed the Toad Sage, who was still passed out drunk on the floor, and with all her strength (and more she didn't know she had), tossed him through the window of the room, making fly across the town, naked, in a speed that almost surpassed a lightning bolt. Once he was far enough from her field of vision, Tsunade put her clothes back on, feeling completely frustrated at what just happened. "I need a drink!" she spoke in frustration, but to her misery, the headache from the hangover that she forgot about, during her rage, returned. "Okay, maybe not a drink," she said as she held her head in pain.
"Mommy, look!" a little girl pointed at something.
"What is it, sweetie?" her mother asked.
But to the mother's horror, the little girl was pointing at was the Toad Sage on top of a tree, completely naked. The mother covered her daughter's eyes before screaming.
Present day:
In the early hours of the morning after Seiyru's arrival, The Council room in Konoha was busy with activity as all the Clan Heads of Konoha's major Clans along with several Civilian Council members, as well as the ANBU Commander and the Shinobi Elders Homura, Koharu and Danzo. They gathered at this early hour because the Hokage summoned them for an emergency Council meeting. Although, the strange thing was, none of them knew what the emergency was, not even the Hokage's advisors, the Shinobi Elders.
After a little while, once everyone had settled into their seats in the Council room, the Sandaime Hokage entered the room and took his high seat in the Council.
Once everyone settled into their seats, the Sandaime Hokage entered the room and took his high seat in the Council.
"Good morning, and thank you for coming so quickly for this meeting; I know it must be an inconvenience," Sarutobi spoke while smoking his pipe.
"What is so urgent that you had to speak to us, Hokage?" Mitokado Homura asked (it was exceptionally odd for the Hokage to call some many people for a meeting), he was expecting something drastic.
Sarutobi took a deep breath, "Last night, a boy came to the village. This boy has lived and trained outside the village his whole life." The Hokage began to explain before he was interrupted.
"And you have allowed this boy, who is an outsider to our village in it, and let him try and become a Shinobi for our village without even scanning him or interrogating him!" Shimura Danzō interrupted him with a raised eyebrow.
"There must be something different about this boy, if you called this meeting to tell us about him," Nara Shikaku, who was on the verge of falling to sleep, due to the "troublesome" meeting, spoke.
"You are correct, Nara, there is indeed something different about the boy; also, the scanning and interrogation were not necessary Danzō, I know who he is," Sarutobi replied with a smirk growing on his face.
"And who exactly, is this boy, Hokage?" Yamanaka Inoichi asked (who was starting to get annoyed, since the Hokage had yet to truly answer any questions on who the boy was, and why he was being allowed to skip four years of Academy training and go straight to the exam).
"His name is Seiyru... Senju Seiyru, to be more precise," Sarutobi answered with a grin, as he saw the shock shock and stunned looks on each of the Council members faces' (he had a very difficult time keeping himself from laughing; like he did yesterday with Konohamaru and Ebisu).
Each of them had a different reaction.
Nara Shikaku was suddenly alert and wide-eyed.
Yamanaka Inoichi's jaw dropped and hit the Council table.
Akimichi Choza, who was eating some buttered toast, actually stopped eating and dropped it, showing how shocked he was, since seeing an Akimick drop their food, was like seeing a hyperactive Nara.
Aburame Shibi's dark sunglasses slid down enough to allow the Sandaime to notice that the Aburame Clan head had dark grey eyes.
The Civilian Council members were like a fish out of water.
Homura and Koharu were wide-eyed, gasping in disbelief; Danzo, was simply, wide-eyed.
Inuzuka Tsume was utterly speechless, which was a first as usually the Inuzuka Clan head was never quiet for very long and was often the most vocal member of the Council.
Although the ANBU Commander's mask kept Sarutobi from seeing his shocked face, his keen Shinobi hearing allowed him to hear a gasp of utter astonishment coming from the ANBU Commander.
Finally, Hyuga Hiashi, looked utterly flabbergasted, which was the most humorous looking face among the Council member, since it was rare to see the normally neutral and unreadable Hyuga Clan head, to be so emotional and out of his controlled element.
Once the Council member got over their shock, they started shouting and arguing across the room. Among them, Furyoku Kagato, who was the loudest, shouted, "That's impossible! Tsunade-sama is the only remaining member of the Senju Clan; he must be an imposter!"
"I can assure, Furyoku, Seiyru is indeed a Senju, in both name and bloodz," Sarutobi replied calmly.
"How exactly can you be so certain of this Sarutobi?" Koharu asked as she found it hard to accept that there was another member of the Senju clan other than Tsunade alive, without any of them knowing about it. Although, at the same time, she knew that her former team-mate Sarutobi was no fool and could not be easily tricked, hence he had to have some kind of hard evidence that proved this astonishing claim.
"That is rather simple, Koharu, I was there when he was born, I know who his mother is," the Sandaime replied, smirking, he was really going to enjoy the looks of shock and disbelief on the Council faces once he told them.
"And who is his mother?" Shikaku asked, but he has already guessed who it was, it was obvious to him.
"His mother is my former student… Tsunade," Sarutobi replied calmly, as if he was discussing the weather with them, while inwardly, he was laughing at the faces of the Council members, as they could not believe what their Hokage had just said.
While the Council were frozen in complete shock, a certain Nara sighed, and muttered silently to himself, "Troublesome Hokage," quiet enough so no-one could hear.
As soon as the Council members got over their shock, once again, the Council room was filled with loud voices of arguments and shouts of disbelief.
Furyoku Kagato, again, was able to shout over the other voices and cry out in disbelief, "TSUNADE-SAMA HAD AN SON!" he yelled, to which the old Hokage just nodded.
"Hokage, when did this happed?" Homura asked, still stunned, as he could not get his head around the fact that Tsunade actually had a son; as he, along with many others, thought that that the Senju line would die with her, she never tried to have any children with anyone after the death of her lover, Dan, but now, with this revelation, their hopes were restored, the Senju Clan lineage would continue to exist.
"Tsunade had Seiyru about twelve years ago in this village, she gave birth to him in secret," Sarutobi answered.
"And why exactly were we not informed of this, when she was giving birth?" asked Danzo with a neutral expression, although inside, he was very keen on learning everything he could about this Seiyru, he knew that he would be an extremely valuable asset to the village if trained and used correctly.
"The reason why no one was told, was because Tsunade wished it to be kept quiet, and made me, along with her apprentice, Shizune, also Jiraiya and Minato, not to tell anyone," the old Hokage replied.
"Why weren't we told? We had a right to know this!" Koharu spoke, she believed that new such as this should have been revealed to them the moment it happened. She and Homura believed that as members of the Council and, as former students of Senju Tobirama, they had a right to know if a new Senju heir had been born. The boy was the best hope of rebuilding the Senju Clan, the main founders of Konoha, and was the descendant of both the Shodaime and Nidaime Hokages.
"I'll be honest with you all," Sarutobi started to explain, "Tsunade didn't want anything to do with the village, she made it clear from the start that she wasn't going to stay here, all I managed to do was convince her to wait until Seiyru was born, but as soon as he was, she grabbed him and Shizune, and left," Sarutobi explained once she recovered from Seiyru's birth, she left the village left without saying a word. "It took me years to convince her to allow Seiyru to become a shinobi of Konoha."
"The boy is of Senju blood, and heir to the Senju Clan, he belongs in Konoha as it is his clan, who were the main founders of our village. If the boy had stayed, then he could have been protected here, and have gotten anything he needed, Tsunade took an unnecessary risk in leaving the village with the boy. If the other villages had learned of his existence and found out that he was living outside the village, then they would have either sent Shinobis to kidnap the boy and rebuild the Senju Clan in their village, or they would have sent Shinobi's to kill the boy and prevent him from rebuilding the Clan in Konoha," Koharu spoke, deeply frustrated with Tsunade's actions regarding her son.
"As that may be, there weren't such problems," Sarutobi explained, "As Tsunade took every precaution, when keeping Seiyru's existence a secret, and not attract attention from them. The fact that Seiyru is here, alive, healthy, and safe, shows how she was able to do it, and raise him to be a happy, healthy, and normal boy," Sarutobi spoke, with pride; by what he saw of Seiyru so far, Tsunade had raised him to become a fine young man showing she had been a good mother to him.
Deciding to change the subject a little, Inuzuka Tsume decided to ask something that he had been wondering since he learned Seiyru is Tsunade's son, "Excuse me, Hokage-same, but, I have been wondering, who is Seiyru's father?" The Council began to mutte, many of them had forgotten that fact, and now, were curious who Seiyru's father was.
The Hokage was about to reveal the most shocking fact of the entire situation, he inhaled the smoke from his pipe, before revealing, "His father, is my other former student... Jiraiya."
…
…
…
…
…
"WWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!"
Several people yelled at the same time, after hearing that, not that Sarutobi blamed them, the entire idea of the two having a son together still sounded absurd to him, if someone had told him thirteen years ago that something like this would happen, he would have called them insane.
Once again, the Council got over their shock, before bombarding the Hokage with questions, which he was already expecting; Seiyru being the son of Tsunade and heir of the Senju Clan was already surprising news, but he was also the son of Jiraiya, who was one of the greatest ninja's of his generation that Konoha ever produced, was also something exception.
That made Seiyru, both the heir of Konohagakure's most noble clan and son of two Sannin.
Of all the questions he heard, one stood out of them all.
"It seems that Fate must love Ironies," Hiashi spoke, gaining everyone's attention. "As it seems that there are now only two members of each, the Senju and Uchiha Clans; where the youngest members and heirs of both Clans are now in Konoha, and are in the same Graduation Class, while the other members are living outside the village, where one is a wanted S-Class missing-nin, and the other is living in self-imposed exile."
After saying this, lots of murmurs could be heard in the Council room, as many agreed with Hiashi's statement about being ironic. It was likely that the legendary rivalry between the Senju and Uchiha Clans, could once again restart, with those two boys, in the very village that their ancestors help build, together; especially considering that they were in the same class together, and will be on either the same team, or on rival teams, where pedigree is also in consideration. Both boys have the blood as some of the most powerful Shinobis that ever lived, running through their veins, no doubt, it was expected that both their ancient Clan rivalry for one another, would reemerge again.
"Hokage!" The ANBU Commander called for Sarutobi's attention. "If I may ask? Do you know what exactly young Seiyru is capable of and what his parents l had taught him?"
This question caused whispering from the Council members, they were all curious to know the new Senju heir's capabilities, and if he inherited any of his parents' talents.
"I'm afraid not. Jiraiya was supposed to come and inform me of this information, but circumstances caused his arrival to be delayed," Sarutobi explained to the council, "He did send me a message saying he will be here in a few days."
Although many Council members were disappointed not knowing Seiyru's capabilities, there was still excited muttering heard in the room. The fact that Seiyru had been trained by not one, but two Sannin, told them that Seiyru could be very powerful for his age, many even began to mutter that he could be the Senju Clan version of Itachi, although, without the whole, going mad and killing off his clan.
For the next few minutes, the Council continued to discuss different things about Seiyru, but Sarutobi decided to end the meeting, the Council knew all they needed to for now; however, one council members made a suggestion the Hokage decided to follow.
Senju Seiyru woke up earlier than he should. He looked at the mirror to see if his hair was okay, as he recently lost a bet with his mother and aunt, Shizune, the bet was if he could manage to learn a certain just in less than two days, the Shadow Clone Jutsu, she would force his father to teach him a special just that the fourth Hokage invented, or something like that, but if he didn't manage to, he would have to cut his long hair.
While he did manage to learn the Shadow Clone Jutsu, it took him a week to learn it. In the end, he had to cut his long, smooth, waist-length hair into a nick-length with bangs hanging over his eyebrows. Seiyru was almost completely certain that his mother knew he wasn't going to be able to do it, and she made the bet just to make him cut his hair; he thought this mostly because how pleased his mother looked when she saw his new hairstyle.
After checking his hair, he went to the kitchen and ate a bit of toast and drank milk. Then he got dressed to go to the academy. Before he did:
"Shadow Clone Jutsu," he said while creating at least three copies of himself. "Alright, I want each of you to do a task while I'm at the academy." he picked his sword, which was on top of a table, and gave it to a copy. "You will go and find a ninja tool shop, there, get some supplies for training, also, see if you find a smith to do some repairs on the sword." During his training shortly, before he came to the village, he ended up damaging his sword, which was on the brink of breaking. He was hoping to get it fixed before it's damaged beyond repair.
He pointed to another copy. "You will find and grab as many useful books as you can find and bring them back here."
Lastly, he pointed to the last copy. "You will find an area and practice Taijutsu." There are some fighting techniques that his mother taught him that he still hadn't gotten the hang of.
All of his Shadow Clones nodded at the same time before jumping out through the window. Seiyru locked the door of the apartment before leaving the building, but as soon as he walked out. "Did I just saw three of you jumping out of the window?" he heard a familiar voice saying. Turning his head to the left, he saw it was Konohamaru's voice.
"You again?" Seiyru spoke in frustration. He decided that it would be best if he just ignored him and walked. Unfortunately, the boy starts to follow him.
"Where are we going, boss?" The boy asked him.
Did he just called me boss? Seiyru thought as he walked. "I'm going to the Ninja Academy, you are going back to that private tutor of yours before he comes looking for you," he bluntly told the boy.
"You're going to the Ninja Academy?" he asked, ignoring what he said after that.
"Yes, so please get lost. I have to do the exam to become a genin," he snapped.
"But, the exam will take place tomorrow," Konohamaru told him.
"Wait, what?" he asked in confusion.
"Grandfather ordered the academy to delay the exam for tomorrow," he explained. "I heard Grandfather say this."
Seiyru was confused, didn't the Hokage tell him the exams will take place today? Why would he order them to take place tomorrow? Unless— Seiyru came to the conclusion that the reason for the delay, maybe the Hokage wanted him to get to know the other students, since he will be placed on a team with them after the exams. Not that he minded, he would prefer to meet whoever he was going to be stuck on a team with, before he's forced to spend time with them anyway.
"Alright then," Seiyru starts to walk in direction of the Academy.
"Hey, wait up!" Konohamaru starts running behind him.
While the real Seiyru was making his way to the Academy, one of his clones did what he was instructed, he found a secluded area, surrounded by trees, to practice Taijutsu. He was practicing some of the techniques that his parents taught him. Although Seiyru can't absolve the physical training through the Shadow Clone, he can at least work on the necessary muscle memory, which helps him polish his attacks.
All that he did was practice his hand-to-hand combat skills; while unknowingly to him, someone was observing him practice.
Meanwhile, the class was about to start at the Academy.
"Good morning, Class," Iruka said, "Unfortunately, I know that all of you came in today expecting to do the Genin exam, but the Hokage ordered the exam to be delayed until tomorrow." As soon as he said that, several grunts and complaints came from the students. Iruka himself didn't understand why the Hokage decided to delay the exams last minute, it was out of nowhere, and he didn't even explain why.
Iruka heard a knock on the door. When he turned to see who was it, a white-haired boy wearing black pants and a white t-shirt enters the classroom.
"Excuse me, are you Iruka?" The boy asked, where Iruka just nodded in response. "I was told that you were expecting me."
Suddenly, Iruka remembered that a week ago, the Hokage had told him that a boy from outside the village would be attending the Academy, and he would be given special permission by the Hokage to do so. Iruka mentally slapped himself for forgetting this, he then looked over to the boy and smiled. "Yes, of course; I forgot that you would be joining us today," Iruka said. "Please forgive me." He bowed a bit.
"I understand, well... the Hokage told me to give you this." Seiyru hands Iruka the note that Sarutobi gave him.
Iruka took the note and spent the next few minutes reading what the Hokage wrote, but when he finished, Iruka's eyes were wide as saucers, where he turned to Seiyru, who just stood there with a stoic face. Iruka knew it wasn't fake, he knew the Hokage's writing, but he still had a hard time believing what he just read, and spent the next two minutes staring at Seiyru. Though Seiyru had a stoic expression, he found Iruka's shocked face to be hilarious.
"Sensei, what's wrong?" A blond haired girl named Ino asked. "What was in that note... and why are you staring at that boy like that?" she continued, as she was very curious.
Iruka was still shocked, which, while Seiyru found funny at first, it was now getting annoying; he decided to step on Iruka's foot in order to snap him out of it.
"OWWW!" he yelled in pain.
"Can we please continue now?" asked Seiyru, standing there as Iruka held his foot in pain, confirming that his idea worked.
"I— Yes, of course," Iruka quickly for over his shock, and turned to his class; although, the shock of the news, still showed on his face. "Class, we have a new student, who will be joining us today, he has been trained outside of the village with his family; hence, he has been given special been given special permission by the Hokage to be allowed to skip the standard Academy training years, to become an official Shinobi of Konoha."
"WHAT?" Kiba yelled, who was angry that this guy, who came out of nowhere, was given special permission by the Hokage to skip all four years of training, that the rest of them had to do, even Sasuke was annoyed by this, since he was never given that offer and he was the last Uchiha in Konoha.
"As I said, Kiba, he has been training with his family outside the village, and the Hokage feels that he is more than ready to take the Academy exam. Due to his training with his family, and to put him the the proper training program of the Academy, would just hinder his growth," explained Iruka, calmly.
"Then who the hell is he!" exclaimed Kiba, angrily, while he pointed at Seiyru, and glared at him. "What the hell makes him so much more special than us, to be allowed to skip the Academy training years, that the rest of did," Kiba was backed up by his K9 partner, Akamaru, who barked in agreement.
"His name is Seiyru... Senju Seiyru," Iruka replied, shocking everyone in the room, including his assistant Mizuki.
"Hello," Seiyru waved at everyone.
But Sensei, that's impossible! You said that the only remaining member of the Senju Clan, was Tsunade, one of the Legendary Sannin," a long pink-haired girl, said in surprise.
"Well Sakura, I'm afraid that I was misinformed, as Seiyru here, is indeed a member of the Senju Clan, he is Tsunade's son," Iruka answered, shocking everyone in the room, further, none of them even knew Tsunade of the Sannin, had a son.
For the next few minutes, everyone in the room, including Iruka, stared at Seiyru, in a mixture of wonder and awe, which greatly amused him.
A member of the legendary Senju Clan, and the son of one of the Legendary Three Ninjas, perhaps he might be worth some time, and actually be a challenge, unlike the rest of these losers. Sasuke thought as he eyed Seiyru, with a calculated look to measured him up: evaluating if he was worth his time.
Tsunade had a son! Orochimaru will want to know about this,Mizuki thought.
"Umm... anyways," Iruka finally getting over his shock completely. "Now Seiyru, could you please sit up at the top, next to Hinata over there, so that we can begin today's class," Iruka said, pointing at Hinata.
Seiyru nodded before walking toward his seat. When he gets there, he took a good look at the girl sitting there; she was a slender girl of fair-complexion with featureless white eyes, Seiyru could tell she was a Hyūga, because he read somewhere, that those eyes were a result of the Byakugan. "Good to meet you," he extended his hand, while smiling.
Hinata, being very shy and insecure, was very hesitant to say anything to someone from such a famed, renowned, and powerful Clan, as well as the son of the strongest Kunoichi in Konoha, if not the entire world. "G-G-Good t-to me-meet you t-o-too S-S-S-Se-Seiyru-sa-sama," Hinata stuttered nervously.
"Just Seiyru, if you don't mind," Seiyru replied with a friendly smile, which, of course, made the girl blush bright red.
"O-O-Okay, Se-Seiyru," Hinata stuttered again, which caused Seiyru to smile in response, as he found her stuttering to be adorable, which, in turn, made the girl blush brighter red.
"Alright class, since we will take the exam tomorrow, I decided to use this an opportunity for one more revision," Iruka said, making the whole class grunt in annoyance.
The Shadow Clone that Seiyru sent to get some books finally managed to find a bookstore. He was searching for anything useful and purchased two books. One was his mother's recommendation, which was a heavily detailed book about the Chakra Pathway System. The other one was his father's recommendation, though he only gave him the name of them, and not exactly their content.
Seiyru was checking the shelves for any other useful books he could find. He wasn't paying attention to where he was going and ended up bumping into someone and made them drop the book they were holding.
"I'm so sorry," Seiyru's clone spoke, as he lifted his head to look at whoever he bumped into; it was a fair-skinned woman, of slender build with long black untamed hair, reaching her upper back, and very unique red eyes, with an additional ring in them. She was wearing makeup consisting of red lipstick and purple eye shadow.
"It's fine. Although you should really watch where you're going," she spoke, then she knelt down to grab the book that she dropped.
Seiyru's Clone also got down to check the books that he dropped.
But, she grabbed one of his books, the one that his father recommended and checked. "This is a really hard book; I don't think Yin released it as a subject that someone your age should be studying."
So, that's the content of this book, Seiyru thought. "It's never too early to study something," the Clone responded.
Then, she grabbed the other book, which was recommended by his mother. "This one is an even harder book," she spoke, checking the other book. "As a matter of fact, I'm assuming that you're an Academy student, which means you should be in class right now." she calmly spoke to the Clone, which had an urge to explain, that he was a shadow clone, and the real Seiyru was in class, but he decided against it.
"Actually, I only started to live here yesterday, so... I didn't start the academy yet," That was a half-truth, but it was better than nothing.
"Ah, I see," she didn't sense any lie on him, but she still thinks that he wasn't telling her something.
"I'm Seiyru," he introduced himself while extending his hand.
"Yūhi Kurenai," she introduced herself.
The other Clone that Seiyru sent to find a ninja tool ship and a smith for his sword, luckily managed to find both in one place. He enters it while holding the sword. Inside the store, there were several weapons and ninja tools hanging on the walls with price tags, all of them looked high quality, and the building itself was really well kept and clean.
"Ummm... excuse me?" He called for someone. From a door behind the counter, a man came out of it. It was a tall and grungy looking man with a shaved head and a clean shaven face. He was broad shouldered with really muscular arms.
"Can I help you?" he spoke with a gruff voice.
"I read on the sign outside that you were a smith, I was wondering if you could take a look at my sword?" he asked, handing the blade to the man.
The man unscathed the sword, he made a face, due to the odd design of the blade. It was a katana, but it was a double edge straight blade, without a crossguard. "What an odd design for a katana," he remarked, as he checked the blade. It didn't take long for him to find the problem with it. "I can see the problem, it will take take me an hour or so to fix it."
"If it isn't too much of a bother, could you strengthen the blade, as well?" The clone asked the smith.
"That will take a bit longer, and will be more costly," man replied, bluntly.
"It's okay, I have money," Seiyru's clone assured the man. "Actually, there are some items in your store that I would like to take a look at."
"If that's the case. Tenten! Can you come here for a second?" The man then calls someone from the upper part of the store.
Not long after, a girl descends the stairs of the store. Seiyru's clone noticed the buns on her head with short fringe-bangs, framing her face, but the thing that stood out the most was the headband she was wearing. "What is it, Father?"
"I have to fix this boy's sword, but he wants to buy a few things from the store," he explained to her." Could you show and sell him the item, while I'm working?"
She just nods in response before her father walks to the door he originally entered. The girl then goes to him and extends her hand. "Hi, I'm Tenten."
"Seiyru," The clone said his name while shaking her hand. "This is a really nice store."
"I know, right! I'm going to take it over someday," she spoke with a lot of pride. "So, what do you need?"
"This is gonna sound crazy, but I need a bit of everything." Seiyru's clone points to everything he needed.
"What?" she asked, confused.
"You're a genin, right?" he answered her with another question while pointing at her headband. He assumes that she's a genin because she doesn't look much older than himself.
"Yes, I became one last year," she announced proudly, pointing at the headband, with a smile.
"I'm aiming to become one, as well, and I want to at least have a bit of knowledge, in most ninja tools," meaning, he's gonna make his clones practice with them, so he can get the hang go it, with most of the weapons. Currently, he only has knowledge in Kenjutsu but would like to learn how to use other weapons. He wanted to become as versatile in bukijutsu, as he can get.
"I see," she responded. "If you like, I can give you a demonstration on how to the basics of each," Tenten suggested.
"Really?" The clone asked in confusion.
"I have to do my own practice today, tomorrow my sensei will test me, and my teammates and I need to be ready," she explained. "Also, by showing you, you might get the basics of it, at least."
The clone just nodded in response.
"Great, help me carry the things to the back of the store."
Meanwhile, the clone that Seiyru sent to practice Taijutsu was still completely focused on the training. He didn't use any special techniques, just regular attacks. Simple punches, kicks, and some of the forms he learned from his parents.
"My, my, that's a really nice form you got there," Seiyru's clone training was interrupted by a voice approaching him. The clone turned his game to see who it was; it was a boy with shiny black hair, round eyes with prominent lower eyelashes, and very thick eyebrows. His hair is in a bowl-cut style, and he's wearing a green jumpsuit, orange leg warmers, and a red forehead protector worn as a belt. "This will sound a little rushed but... would you fight with me?"
The clone made a confused face at that request. "Why do you want to fight me?"
"You look strong, I've been watching since you started to practice," That made Seiyru's clone a bit disturbed after hearing that. "You see, this is the spot where I come to train, and imagine my surprise when I see another person practicing Taijutsu here," he quickly explained, due to the disturbed loon on the Clone's face. "I'm Rock Lee, by the way."
"I'm Seiyru."
"It's an honor to meet you, Seiyru; so, what do you say?" Rock Lee asked, with a smile.
The Clone decided if it was a good idea or not; the clone will puff out if he receives too much damage, but this would be a good opportunity to train his fighting skills. He could tell Rock Lee was strong, and that he was a ninja because he can see the headband on his belt. At the end, the Clone decided to give it a try.
"Alright."
"Fantastic!" Rock Lee spoke with a lot of enthusiasm.
"But, under one condition," he quickly clarified. "This will be a pure hand-to-hand fight. No Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and no special Taijutsu techniques."
"I see, since I was the challenger, I accept your terms," Rock Lee agreed, before assuming a fighting stance.
"Alright then," The Clone also assumes a fighting stance.
"HIIIIIIIIIIYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" The two yelled before going at each other.
