Doom fortress-earth's orbit/p

Slayer's POV

He just stood there watching earth from the control center. No more colossal pentagrams, no more clouds of smoke, no more lava rivers, and the best of all, no more screams of horror in the broadcasts he listened, earth was safe at last. With the khan maykr and the icon of sin dead, the humans learning to use sentinel energy, and the artificial production of argent and demonic experimentation stopped, earth was safe at last, yet he could not rest. With the argent production off, there were no gateways left to hell for now, so in the 3 months he had been in the fortress consisted on reading, cleaning, playing in his PC or the guitar, and (mostly) the rip-a-torium, unfortunately for him, someone else had been using it for practice. He walked to the elevator to the rip-a-torium and through the window, saw his disciple practicing. Ravok. There he saw a Marauder with blue eyes and a sentinel axe, making a mancubus swallow its own heart. When it exploded, he "sheathed" his axe and turned to the window, jumping back a little when he noticed the slayer.

"M-master," he said in a young, yet distorted voice due to his transformation, "I did not see you there!

"He, of course, was met with silence, as always. The slayer indicated him to get out of the room, and when he got out of the portal, DS (DOOM SLAYER) went straight to him and inspected him, he knew that he put Ravok to the challenge of completing the rip-a-torium without getting hit once, so he checked for new marks in his body.

The slayer started remembering when he found him.

After killing the icon of sin, he decided to rampage the remaining demons on earth, but when he was running among the destroyed streets, he heard a marauder fighting, but his voice was lighter than the others, something he ignored, but he wanted something to kill, so he followed the noise into an underground parking lot , and there he was, to fighting against several other demons, surrounded. The slayer knew something was off since he knew marauders never had any opposition against them among the demonic ranks, since they had the speed and strength capable of matching the slayer, but he noticed his blue glowing eyes and shield, and heard him cursing the creatures while praising the sentinels and king Novik, but he noticed something odd about his voice: he detected fear. Not really wanting to know more, he jumped to the action.

He landed on an unsuspecting imp, crushing his head with ease. He then took out his balista and charged it to create the cutter, and released it, cutting all fodder demons and some heavy ones in half. A prowler revealed itself and jumped from the ceiling right over him, but then he grabbed it by its claw, ripping it of and stabbing it in its mouth. The remaining demons where super heavy: a tyrant, an archvile, and 2 barons of hell. The 2 barons began to charge at the slayer, the tyrant started to shoot him, but the slayer had his eyes on the archvile, which was in the process of summoning boosted demons, so he shot an ice bomb to the barons, freezing them instantly, and ran towards the archvile. Then when it was about to finish the summoning, something else ran at the side of the slayer, which he identified as the marauder's wolf, which went right through the demon's fire wall and climbed onto him and started biting its torso and face, ripping some chunks of it, obviously interrupting it. Still running, the slayer hit the archvile so hard in the guts, it split it in half.

That was strange. Why would the marauder help him? Why was he fighting in the first place?

He snapped out of it when 5 missiles hit him, he then charged to the tyrant, which was still shooting. He then jumped and hung himself from its horns and used flame bench to burn its face off until it went through its head. The giant beast fell. He turned around to see the barons unfrozen and charging fast. When he was about to jump, an axe came spinning from his right and decapitated the 2 barons. As the demons fell, the slayer turned to see the marauder lying on a pile of debris, severely wounded.

"Great...slayer..." he said, "I...never thought...I would meet...you...and less in... this conditions...(chuckles)"

The slayer approached him with curiosity.

"They...betrayed us...everyone...the priests...the maykrs... and...worse of all...(chough)...ourselves...I... was only a boy... when sentinel prime fell...i remember dying...to their hands...going to hell...and becoming...a carcass... of what i was...somehow...i resisted hell's energy...and was forced...to fight my brothers...until i fled...and now...i am at your mercy..."

The slayer stood there, thinking of what to do. He looked around him and saw there were dosens of demons, or used to be, that he did not kill. With the body count and him keeping his mind, he knew the kid had potential, so he dragged him to the fortress and started training him as his disciple.

"Check under his arm" Dr. Hayden said. DG (DOOM GUY) had forgotten about him, so after snapping out of it, he checked under Ravok's arm and saw a claw mark.

"I'm sorry for failing you master, i will try again" as he was heading to the door, DG stopped him and gave him a pat on the back, indicating he could rest for today. And so they parted ways through the fortress. DG went back to stare at earth while Ravok went to the personal quarters to read or play in the PC, yet he was still disappointed at himself.

"How did I not see that imp coming?!" he kept wondering. He hung his arm plate over the working table in the room to fix it. While looking for the wielder he found a letter, a perfectly white letter with a red circular seal with an cross on the lower left. He knew it wasn't there before because he had also repaired his armor the last 3 weeks so he picked it up. "To the doom slayer" it read. So following the letter's instructions he walked to were his master was. As most of the time lately, he found him staring at the planet. This was secretly worrying both Ravok and hayden, with no more demons for now, the slayer had no purpose. "master, i found this in the room, apparently it is for you" ravok then handed him the letter. DG turned around grabbed, and opened it and started reading it. It was something about an invitation to a type of event called "smash bros". not interested, he shredded the card and threw it away, but when the card hit the ground, it became fire that wrapped around the slayer and lifted him while struggling and disappeared into nothing.

"WHAT IN THE NAME OF-" said Ravok until Dr. Hayden interrupted him.

"Calm down kid."

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN CALM DOWN?! WE DONT KNOW WHAT WAS THAT OR WHERE HE WENT, HELL, WE DONT EVEN KNOW IF HE IS ALI-"

" Its HIM we are talking about child, some magic will not kill him, now behave while i try to find him."

"...Ok, but do not call me a child."

"We'll see about that."
