A/N: Hi guys, this is my first FanFic and I'm excited to get started! Please review and if you feel like this anything needs improvement let me know! Without further ado let's get started!
Izuka Midoriya sat in the back of the classroom reviewing her notes on the hero battle that took place earlier that day. The teacher, Mr. Fuka had been droning on and on about their future and how they needed to take it seriously now that they were third years and she had long since tuned out.
Flashback
Izuka was walking to school when she heard a loud CRASH and screaming. She ran to where the noise was coming from to find people crowded together whispering excitedly. She was stuck in the back and was desperately trying to see what the commotion was about when she spotted an opening in the back she made her way towards the front. Not understanding what was going on she asked the man next to her what happened.
Apparently the fight started when the villain grabbed someone's bag, once he had it in possession he was cornered, he then unleashed his quirk which allows him to shift into a monster. The heroes that rushed to the scene were Death Arms, who caught fallen debris using his strength and Backdraft who was keeping everyone out of danger's way.
Kamui Woods then came running in, he extended his arm wrapping it around the giants wrist who started swinging him around wildly, he used the momentum to land away from the villain. He reeled back and prepared for his takedown move.
"Pre-emptive Binding Lacquered Chain Prison!" Kamui shouted
Before the attack could make contact a new hero came jumping in yelling "Canyon Cannon!"
She easily kicked the villain off the train station leaving everyone in shock. As soon as she was off the platform many paparazzi began swarming her. She then turned around and looked at the crowd
"Today is the day of my debut, my name is Mt Lady. It's a pleasure to meet your ass-quaintance!"
During Mt Lady's announcement, Izuka started rummaging through her bag looking for her notebook. As the crowds started clearing Izuka made her way over to the dent on the road where the villain was knocked to the ground. Writing in her notebook she started writing down about Japan's newest hero: Mt Lady.
"Gigantification huh? She looks like she'll be popular and it's an amazing quirk. But thinking about the damage to the city that'll go hand in hand with that, it's use might be limited? No, but whether or not she can control the size.." her muttering was interrupted by the man who was watching the fight by her earlier
"Hey wait, your taking notes? You wanna be a hero?" he asked "That's great, you can do it!" he encouraged
Izuka turned around to look at the man with a happy smile on her face "Yes! I'll do my best!" she responded.
Izuka was interrupted from her thoughts at the cheering that echoed through the room followed by everyone flashing their quirks.
"Teach, don't lump at the bottom with the rest of these extras! I'm easily the most powerful one here!" He declared
"Of course Bakugou, you want to go to U.A. correct?" Mr. Fuka asked
"Duh, I aced the mock test and am the only one at this school who can get in!" Bakugou yelled "I will become a top hero and surpass All Might!"
"Midoriya wants to go to U.A. too, right?" Mr. Fuka added as an after thought.
The class went silent as Izuka nodded then everyone burst out laughing.
"What are you gonna do? Study your way in?" a boy with a long pointed nose asked laughing
"You know you need a quirk to get in, right?" someone yelled from in the front
"DEKU!" Bakugou roared, blasting Izuka off the desk "When the hell are you going to realize your place in the world? At the bottom! You don't even deserve to stand alongside me!" He yelled
"S-s-sorry" Izuka mumbled looking down. Just then the bell rang dismissing everyone from the classroom
"Remember everyone, don't go slacking off because of the break you get!" Mr. Fuka yelled after the students filling out of the room. Shortly after Mr. Fuka left the room Izuka stuffed everything minus her notebook in her backpack. Just as she was about to put the notebook in her bag she felt it being pulled from her hand.
"Deku, we're not done talking yet!" he said fanning himself with the notebook
"What's that Katsuki?" one of his goons asked
"Hero Analysis for the Future? Really?" the other goon asked unimpressed
"Midoriya, why don't you just give up, it's not like a tiny girl like you could become a hero anyway" they said laughing
"C-can I please have my notebook Kacchan?" Izuka asked shaking
"Nah" he responded, burning it badly with his hands proceeding to throw it out of the window. He then walked up to her and grabbed her hair pulling her up to meet him
"When the hell will you realize that you are useless Deku? You can't do shit, you don't even deserve to breathe the same air as me! Your fucking useless!" he said, throwing her to the ground "Learn your god-damned place" he said finally walking towards the door
"You know if you really wanted to have a quirk you could just jump off the roof and hope to be re-born with a quirk" he said smiling cruelly as he slammed the door behind him.
Izuka sat on the ground with tears in her eyes, she got up and headed towards the window. Leaning out she looked around for her notebook. Once she spotted it she gathered all her belongings and headed down to the courtyard before heading home.
Walking in a daze, Izuka didn't notice when she dropped her notebook.
"Excuse me, but I think you dropped this!" A deep voice boomed
Izuka froze, that voice sounded so familiar. No way. Slowly she turned around and saw a tall muscular man with blond hair smiling widely at her. Izuka stood rooted to the spot with an awestruck look on her face. She couldn't believe it! All Might her biggest idol was standing right in front of her!
She shook herself out of her trance and said "Yes! T-that's mine, I mean m-my notebook" she stuttered nervously "T-t-thank you A-all Might!"
"No problem young one!" he said smiling brightly
"U-um could I ask you a question?" Izuka asked
"Of course!" he said looking down at her
"W-well the thing is I-I'm quirkless! And I want to be a hero and help people, is that still possible?" Izuka asked nervously
All Mights smile dropped slightly at her question, he took a deep breath and kneeled down to her level.
"Listen kid, it's great to have dreams but gotta dream realistically. Without a quirk it's impossible to be a hero" he said avoiding eye contact
Izuka felt all her hopes and dreams shatter around her, despite the wave of sadness that washed over her. Izuka did the best to keep the tears out of her eyes.
"I figured it would be a long shot but better safe than sorry right?" she said cheerily despite her dreams being shattered by the person she looked up to the most "Sorry for wasting your time All Might sir" Izuka said walking off before she would start crying.
Izuka sat on the ledge of an apartment building watching the lights below her. What Kacchan said to her earlier that day kept on echoing through her mind
"You know if you really wanted to have a quirk you could just jump off the roof and hope to be re-born with a quirk"
Izuka felt so sad like she was drowning in an ocean of despair. Tears were streaming out of her eyes and there was a huge jump in her throat. The pressure in her chest was physically painful, she felt cold and empty like there was no hope left.
'If I jump mom wouldn't have to worry about me constantly, she would be free to do whatever she wants. I don't add value to anyone's life and I know for a fact that Kacchan and all my classmates will be happy. It's one less student for my teacher, he never liked me anyway. If I jump I won't have to suffer anymore, I can be in peace. Life is already hard but it's only going to get harder as I get older. Everythings going to be better for everyone if I jump. Why haven't I considered this sooner?'
Izuka stood up and looked over the ledge, her mind was screaming at her to turn back and go home but she pushed it back. She took a deep breath, looked at the city for one last time and jumped.
A/N: Okay I know that majority of this story was almost exactly the same as the first episode of the anime but don't give up hope yet! I will be much more creative with the plot as time goes on! Don't forget to review and follow this FanFic! Till next time
