Hinata is going to be OOC, but that's because his childhood is different from before. Updates will be sporadic, but I don't plan to give up on the story.

I was almost home after a long practice. I saw my house and left my bike by the door. I went in and saw my dad sitting at the table.

"Hey dad what's up?" I asked and he looked up at me.

"Shoyo I need you to come home right after school tomorrow," dad said.

"What? But what about Volleyball practice?" I asked.

"You're going to have to miss it. Your Grandfather is coming for dinner so I need you home at a decent time," dad said. I froze. Grandfather was coming for dinner. This wasn't good. My Grandfather was really strict with me. My family is really rich and my dad is my Grandfather's first son, so usually that would make him the heir. But for some reason when I was a baby Grandfather decided that I would be the heir. My Grandfather then basically controlled my life until I was about 11 years old, after my mother died, at that point my Dad finally stood up for my sister and me and we moved away. I don't remember a lot of the time before we moved, my Dad said it could be because I was traumatized, but I am not so sure. My Grandfather at first visited every week to make sure I was keeping up to his standards, but that slowly lessened and he hasn't visited us nearly in a year.

I was nervous because whenever Grandfather visited it never turned out well.

"Also I'll be picking you up after school so you aren't all sweaty," Dad said. I just nodded my head. I went upstairs and laid on my bed looking at the ceiling. I did not want tomorrow to come. I just laid there for who knows how long. A heard a knock on my door and looked over.

"Sho you need to make sure you have clothes for dinner tomorrow," Dad said through the door. That might sound weird, but I have specific clothes for when Grandfather visits.

I sighed and walked to my closet. My room has a closet and a dresser. My dresser holds my school clothes and everyday wear. But my closet held any clothes or items I might need when my Grandfather visits. I opened my closet and saw three dry cleaners bags in them were two white tie suits and one morning suits. I also had a few formal kimonos and formal Yukatas, along with all their accessories. I also had some white button up shirts and pants hanging up on their own. On the floor were some zori and formal dress shoes.

I was going to lay back down when my door opened and in, walked Natsu.

"What's wrong Natsu?" I asked.

"Ni-San, why is Grandfather coming tomorrow?" Natsu asked.

"I don't know Natsu." I said.

"Will he be mean again?" Natsu asked.

"No and if he tries to, your Ni-San will protect you," I said. Natsu just shook her head.

"No, will he be mean to Ni-San again?" Natsu asked. I froze for a second before getting down on my knees and putting my hands on Natsu's shoulders.

"You don't have to worry about that Natsu. I'm your Ni-San and I'm going to make sure that everything is ok," I said. Natsu nodded and went back to her room. I sighed, closing my door and laid back down. This time I went to sleep.

The next morning my alarm went off and I got up. It was too early for me to get ready to leave because Dad was going to drive me today. So I got up and instead of just taking a shower I also took a nice long bath. Once I was done with my bath I got dressed and grabbed my volleyball bag. I walked downstairs and made some cereal. Once I was done with that I ate an apple. Soon Dad came downstairs.

"You ready to go Sho?" Dad asked.

"Yeah," I grabbed my volleyball bag and school bag following my dad out to the car. We got in and were quiet for the first bit of the drive.

"It's all going to be fine Sho. He'll come for dinner and then be gone and we won't see him again till the holidays," Dad said. I nodded, but didn't say anything. Dad sighed and we just stayed quiet for the rest of the ride. Soon Dad pulled up to Karasuno's gates and I got out.

"Right after the last bell I'll be waiting for you here and then we'll go and pick up Natsu," Dad said. I nodded and closed the car door. Dad then drove away and I walked into the school. I made it to the gym and started to warm up. I was here before anyone else, but didn't really do anything, but warm up.

Soon the rest of the team showed up and we started practice. A little while after we started Coach and Sensei showed up. I broke away from everyone else and walked to them.

"What's up Hinata?" Coach asked.

"I am going to have to miss practice this afternoon. My Grandfather is coming for dinner," I said.

"That's fine, but next time give us a little more warning," Coach said.

"I'll try coach, but my Grandfather will show up unexpectedly and want to see everyone," I said.

"Just try to. And have fun with your Grandfather," Coach said.

"Yeah," I said dejectedly. I ran back to practice.

The rest of the day passed by in a blur. I couldn't really pay attention. Soon I was getting in my Dad's car and was heading to get Natsu.

I was standing around waiting for Hinata to show up and for practice to start. When some time passed I walked up to Daichi.

"Captain where's Hinata?" I asked.

"I don't know. I was hoping you knew," Daichi said. Soon Coach walked in and started practice.

"Hey Coach do you know where Hinata is?" I asked.

"He has some family things so he's going to miss afternoon practice," Coach said. I wondered what family thing Hinata had to do, but I put that out of my mind and went back to practice.

I sat on my bed brushing Natsu's hair. She was already dressed for this dinner. She was wearing a dress with the top part being black and the skirt a nice blue. I was just being simple with a white buttoned up shirt and black formal trousers. Both of us were wearing shoes because of this dinner, even though we don't usually wear shoes in the house.

I looked at my clock and saw that it was nearing 6. I put the brush on my nightstand and both of us stood up and went downstairs. Dad was waiting for us by the front door. The three of us just stood there waiting. All of us stood up straighter when we heard a car engine. Soon the door opened and in walked Grandfather, dressed as impeccably as always.

"Shoyo good to see you as always," Grandfather said.

"And you Grandfather," I said. Grandfather just nodded at Dad and Natsu. We walked to the dining room and started dinner. Dinner was a silent affair and I was kind of glad about that. Once dessert started that is when things started to go down hill.

"Shoyo," Grandfather said. I sat up straighter somehow, even though I was already sitting up pretty straight.

"Yes Grandfather?" I asked.

"I am having you transfer out of Karasuno," Grandfather said. My eyes widened.

"What? But why?" I asked.

"Your grades are abysmal and they are not a good academic school," Grandfather said.

"But I am passing all my classes," I said.

"That is not good enough. In middle school you were one of the top students in the nation and now you are failing a basic english exam."

"That was just because I put the answers one up. Otherwise I would have had a perfect score the first time."

"My mind is made up, Shoyo. Tomorrow is your last day at Karasuno. You will pack your bags and after tomorrow you will visit some schools I have made a list of. I will be taking you suggestions into consideration after you have visited all the schools." Grandfather slid a sheet of paper over to me.

"But I haven't taken any transfer exams yet. How can I choose a school if I don't even know if I can go there?" I tried.

"You have already taken the transfer exam for each school on that list and passed. This is happening Shoyo and if you do not stop complaining then I will be picking for you." My hands fisted on my lap under the table.

"May I be excused?" I asked.

"Go ahead Shoyo," Dad said. I stood up and grabbed the paper with the schools listed on it and went up to my room.

I flopped down on my bed not caring that I hadn't changed. I rolled over and buried my head into my pillow. Tears were flowing from my eyes. I was so upset and I was also angry. I don't know when I fell asleep, but I knew I did not stop crying until I finally did fall asleep.

I got up and got ready for my last day at Karasuno. Every time I thought about that I would tear up. I looked at my volleyball bag and almost didn't take it, but I calmed my nerves and grabbed it. I headed downstairs, I didn't have an appetite for breakfast, but I needed to grab my lunch.

As I turned to enter the kitchen I froze. There was my Grandfather sitting at the table drinking coffee. I gulped and walked into the kitchen, hoping that he wouldn't want to talk. I opened the fridge and grabbed my bento. I turned to leave.

"Shoyo sit," Grandfather said. I did as I was told and sat across from him.

"Shoyo you are the heir to Sun Conglomeration. I did not agree with you going to Karasuno and your drop in grades just shows I was right. This is also for your own good," Grandfather said.

"But I can get my grades up, just let me stay in Karasuno," I pleaded. Grandfather just sighed.

"Shoyo I've made up my mind and you won't be changing it. Since starting Karasuno your grades have dropped, you have been slacking in your extra work, and you haven't been practicing your music," Grandfather listed.

"I will do all that just let me stay in Karasuno please Grandfather," I tried again.

"No Shoyo and if you keep this up I will be picking your school for you." I knew I had to stop now or it would get worse. I stood up and headed out. I made it to school earlier than usual and sat down in front of the gym doors. I just sat there until the rest of the team arrived.

"Hinata I thought you would be practicing already," Suga said. I shook my head.

"No I have something I want to tell everyone," I said.

"Well come on in and we can wait inside," Daichi said. I followed them in and instead of changing like everyone else I just sat on the floor. I could feel everyones concerned stares. Noya-Senpia and Tanaka-Senpai tried to get me to talk, but I stayed quiet. I know I was really worrying everyone, but I was in no mood to talk. Soon Coach and Sensei walked in. I stood up and walked up to them.

"Coach, Sensei I have something I need to tell the team," I said.

"Alright. Everyone gather around! Hinata has something to say!" Coach yelled and everyone gathered around us. I bowed as low as I could go.

"This is my last day here with you guys. I appreciate the time I've had with you," I said and straightened up. Everyone was looking at me in shock.

"But why Hinata?" Suga finally asked.

"My Grandfather is having me transfer out after today," I said sadly.

"Dumb ass, what about going to Spring Nationals?" Kageyama asked angrily.

"I'm so sorry," I said and turned running out of the gym. As I ran I wiped tears away from my eyes.
