A young woman, tired from a long day of work, decides to turn in for the night. "Man, I'm absolutely beat," she says to herself. Though shortly before going to sleep, she looks at a framed photo of herself from years ago, with another girl, a short girl with long dark blue hair, as well an overall friendly demeanor in her smile.

"I wonder how you're doing, Yukishiro" the woman whispered to herself.

8:20 AM

The woman, fifteen years younger and known as Nagisa Misumi to her friends and family, was heading into Naokatsu Tsuda Junior High, where she resided as a second year student. "Nagisa!" greeted Shiho Kubota, a hyper, red-headed girl who is a very good friend of Nagisa's. "Good morning, Nagisa." chimed Rina Takashimizu, a tall, very wise girl with her brown hair done up in pigtails. As well, she plays defense for the NTJH Girls Lacrosse team as defense, alongside Nagisa, who plays offense. "Hey! Hey! Hey!" Shiho chatted, "Did you see the shooting stars last night?". "Yeah, I did!" Rina replied, "They've been happening a lot lately, huh?". "Eh? I haven't seen them yet!" Nagisa exclaimed, confused. "I did a ton of wishing!" Shiho beamed, as Nagisa looked back and forth at Shiho and Rina between replies with a mix of confusion and excitement. As they headed into the school's entrance, Rina commented "Aren't shooting stars bad omens, though?"

"That is not the case" another girl interjected.

"Yukishiro?" Nagisa questioned.

The girl in question was Honoka Yukishiro, a very polite, science loving student labeled as the "Queen of Knowledge".

"Shooting stars are actually small meteors drifting in outer space that are affected by the Earth's gravity." Honoka explained. "At an altitude of about one hundred kilometers, the friction with the atmosphere makes them glow, leaving trails of light in the sky. Past generations used to make wishes on these mysterious phenomena. Don't you think that's better than thinking of them as ill omens? Something good will happen instead." she noted.

As Honoka leaves for her early morning classes, Nagisa and co. just stare into the distance in awe. "That's the Queen of Knowledge for you." Rina commented.

9:34 AM

"Nagisa Misumi!" demanded Mr. Somota, Nagisa's math teacher.

Sleepily, Nagisa mumbled "Yeah?" "I know you can solve this problem, Misumi." Mr. Somota barked.

AN: the question (as represented in the anime) is x - 7 = 19 + x.

After Nagisa stared blankly at the board for a few seconds, Honoka stood up, saying "Teacher, the question is unsolvable as the closest there is to an actual answer is "0 = 26, which doesn't make sense" "Ah, I see I've made a mistake. I'll try to be more careful in the future" Mr. Somota stammered.

"Whew, that's a relief" Nagisa thought.

5:49 PM

After a long and exhausting day of school, Nagisa slumps on her bed and gazes down the ceiling. Suddenly, she remembers that the shooting stars are going off tonight!

As she looks up at the late evening sky, with all the meteors flying through the sky, she realizes that she still needs to make wishes! She panics, blurting out "Uhh, ahh, I wish for a good boyfriend, uhh, lots of chocolate cake, oh, and lots of fancy clothes!". Looking up, she sees one of the stars getting closer.

And closer.

And closer.

"That isn't right" Nagisa wondered worryingly. She realized that a meteor was about to hit her, so she quickly dodged as it hit her balcony and rolled into her bedroom. She stared in a state of curiosity at the object before picking it up. Once she picked it up, a light blue aura appeared around her and a blue hand, although faint. She dropped the object, feeling highly skeptical. She picks it back up, and nothing. "That's weird" Nagisa noted, "I should tell Honoka about this, see if she knows anything."

"Mom, I'm going out for a walk."

"Okay! Be back before supper!" Nagisa's mom yelled back.

At the Yukishiro household, Honoka was just arriving and was greeted by her golden retriever Chuutarou, who excitedly wags his tail, entailing that he wants Honoka to see something.

Curious, Honoka follows Chuutarou into her shed, where she is greeted with the sight of a broken window and a small meteor on a shelf. When she picked it up an unusual pink aura flared up around her. Mystified, she places it back down, just as she gets a knock at her gate.

A flustered Nagisa is the one at the gate, asking Honoka "do you know, what's up with this?" She holds up the meteor. "Suddenly this blue aura enveloped me, and I saw this blue hand, and I felt oddly powerful for a split second. Does this have to do with shooting stars?"

Very seriously, Honoka replied "Come with me.", quickly walking to her shed.

Honoka begins to go on a lengthy explanation, saying "Hear me out, but I think that was far from an ordinary meteor shower. There has been a rumor I have heard about in recent regarding a phenomenon known as a "Stand", which is your very soul given physical form, with a special ability to match. No one truly knows where Stands originated, but there is a rumor that it began with a native tribe from Greenland. There is very few documentation of Stands that I know of, but I know of three events: In 1989, a seventeen year old boy from Honshu, I don't know exactly where in Honshu, was seen teleporting and flying through the air in Cairo, Egypt. In 1999, A now deceased serial killer known as Yoshikage Kira caused an explosion out of thin air in the town of Morioh, a coastal town on the edge of Shikoku. And lastly, in 2001, a fifteen year old boy from Naples, Italy was reportedly seen making trees grow at an accelerated rate. I will try to find more, though. Long story short, the two of us are Stand users. However, this also implies that since the showers have been going on for a couple of days now, we don't know how many people have developed Stands as a byproduct of this, but keep your guard up, Nagisa, you don't know what these people can do."

Nagisa silently nodded, feeling anxious yet determined, and walked home.

"Here we go." Nagisa mused.

Chapter II Teaser!

A young boy, Kimata Rakusoto, sits in his room doing homework. He wasn't really special, he played on the NTJH Boys Soccer team, but other than that, he was a normal kid. As he writes is notes, he accidentally rips the page.

"Ah, shit" he says, lightly miffed.

He decides that it would just be easier to rip it all off and start fresh, so he rips off the page and,

There's no more rip, and there's two sheets.

"Huh, that's interesting." He said, intrigued.

Thank you for reading! It's my first real passion project in terms of writing, so I hope you enjoyed it! Please give me feedback, comments, questions, the like.

I currently do not have a fixed date for an update schedule, but I will make a schedule soon.

I currently hope to put up Chapter II within a week's time.

Bye!
