Author Note: Here is another one take storyline. I am trying to get back to writing and posting on a schedule but I have gotten very little luck. I thought that I would write this fanfiction for Father's Day.
Jane was looking forward to Father's Day because it was going to be a very special one for Kurt. She had managed to convice Rich to get her something from the store during his most recent trip.
"Did you take the test?" Rich asked Jane as he walked up behind her.
"Shh. You know that Kurt is around here and will figure out that I am keeping something from him." Jane said in a whisper.
"He is getting distrached by Tasha and Patterson so I could talk to you." Rich said to her. "It was part of the plan."
"Well that was nice of you. I just took it this morning and already got the results. I am going to wait to tell anyone from the team for right now." Jane said to him.
"Oh, so you don't trust us to keep it a secret from Kurt?" Rich said a little hurt by that.
"No that is not what I am saying. I just need to make sure that Kurt is the first one to know. This is different than Tasha's because Kurt is here. We all miss Reade and can't wait for the baby to be here." Jane responded to him.
"Okay, that makes sense." Rich said to her as they both notice that Kurt was walking up.
"Please, tell me that Bethany is not in the hospital again." Kurt said hoping that his daughter was okay.
"She is fine." Rich said to his friend. "I was just talking to Jane about something that could help with her most recent flu bug."
"Rich, you know that you really suck at lying." Kurt said to him as he walked closer to Jane.
"yes, I know." Rich said to him. "Now if you don't mind, I think that I am just going to leave you two alone to talk."
"Thank you Rich." Kurt said to him as he watched Rich leave the room."Is it just me or is he getting weirder by the day?"
"No, it's not just you." Jane said to him. "But I do need to talk to you about something."
"Yeah, what about?" He responded as he wrapped his arms around her.
"I wanted to know what you wanted to do for Father's Day." Jane responded to her husband.
"Honey, that is sweet but you know that we can't be out in public until we take her down." Kurt responded to her.
"I know but I still want to do something for you. I know that you miss your daughter but we will get reunited with her soon." Jane responded to him.
"I know that is what I am keeping the faith in." Kurt responded to her.
"But there is something else that I wanted to celebrate with you. It's a new life." Jane said to her husband.
"Jane, you are not making any sense about a new life." Kurt responded to her.
"Okay, I am just going to show you." Jane responded to him as she pulled something out of her back pocket. She handed it to her husband.
"We are pregnant?" Kurt asked her with a smile. "Or is this Tasha's?"
"It's ours. We are pregnant." Jane said to her husband with a smile.
