Romantic Trolley Ride Part 2 – Luiz's Garage

Hello again my fanfic brothers and sisters! I am back with part 2! In the previous story you saw our two favourite lovebirds admit that they liked each other. And Blu didn't choke on a blossom petal this time! But now it's time to see what will happen when the chain comes off! Again thank you to all the follows, reviews and favourites! Without further ado! The conclusion to this 2 part story! Let's get to it!

Blu's POV

So…there it is! Luiz's garage! It's been quite an interesting experience for me during this journey!

I got kidnapped by smugglers, ran through the streets while being chained to Jewel to get away from them. Spent the night on a man made structure in the jungle. Got pulled by a vine and crashed into a boulder!

Got attacked by toucans….fell of a cliff before I was saved by a hang-glider. Danced the day away in the samba club with Jewel…Then getting attacked my marmosets! Ruining a moment where I think Jewel would have kissed me!

But it all worked out in the end…..we had that wonderful trolley ride! I told Jewel how I felt. She told me how she felt. Then we actually kissed!

I actually have a girlfriend now! I am honestly the luckiest bird in the world! I think I'd be very happy here!

Third Person

Both Blu and Jewel saw Rafael, Nico and Pedro fly in through the open window. Jewel noticed that Blu was smiling while in deep thought. This made her curious and she slightly nudged him with her wing. He slowly turned to face her and they both smiled at each other very warmly.

"You ok there Bluey? What you thinking about?" Jewel sweetly asked while winking at him in a seductive manner. This made Blu blush slightly but he returned the wink and kissed her wing which made her giggle in delight.

"Oh, I was just thinking about what we should do when the chain comes off? I mean do I go straight to Linda to tell her I'm leaving? Or do we find a place in the jungle to stay?" Blu replied quite unsurely. But Jewel's eyes widened. She was a little shocked that Blu was already thinking about getting a place together.

"You're already thinking about that?" She replied quite surprisingly while raising a curious eyebrow and cocking her head to the side. Blu returned the confused expression and suddenly started to feel a bit nervous.

"W-w-well I know that we erm, aren't mates right now, but we are kind of together? So I thought maybe it wouldn't be a terrible idea if I thought about us getting a tree together in the jungle?" Blu responded before holding both her wings with his and smiled in a deep and meaningful way. Jewel returned the smile and kissed Blu on the side of his beak.

"Well, we can talk about that after we get this chain off. Let's get inside," Jewel replied before he held wings with Blu and they both walked in together.

It was quite a dark and spooky garage. There were cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling. The walls looked old and worn out. Plus, to make things creepier, the lantern on the roof kept flickering on and off.

"Quite scary in here isn't it?" Blu whispered to Jewel who only nodded in response and walked closer to Blu as she was a little nervous. But Blu managed to calm her down as he put a wing round her to comfort her.

"Hey Luiz? Where are you? There are some friends I'd like you to meet!" Rafael called to the supposed bird who was meant to be Luiz. But soon they heard growling in the back of a trunk in an old and abandoned car. Blu just looked to his stomach and Jewel began to panic.

"Please tell me that was your stomach growling?" Jewel asked while starting to panic slightly. But Blu shook his head as he was too scared to even say anything. But soon he was snapped back to reality as soon as he saw what was heading towards him.

A large bulldog burst out of the trunk of the car and ran straight towards Blu and Jewel. Nico and Pedro just panicked and flew away towards the ceiling of the garage.

"COME ON BLU!" Jewel screamed while running next to Blu as they were trying to escape whilst they kept chorusing 'INSIDE, OUTSIDE, INSIDE, OUTSIDE!' But soon the dog pinned them down and snarled angrily at them. His drool was dripping closer and closer to their faces, but he soon licked it up and started to laugh as they were waiting to get torn to shreds.

"Hahahahaha I got you good!" The dog said while laughing out loud. But Blu and Jewel just looked at him with nervous yet confused expression on their faces. "I could have ripped your throats out! But I didn't! But I…..could of," the dog said the last bit nervously as he went into a daydream.

Soon Rafael flew down to the dog and his friends as he put a big smile on his beak and opened his wings out for some strange reason.

"Hey Luiz! Stop scaring my friends will you?" Rafael said to the dog who was actually known as Luiz. Both Blu and Jewel shook their feathers dry and looked at Rafael in a shocked manner. Did Rafael really just say that it was the bulldog who was named Luiz?

"Wait, w-w-w-w-wait! Luiz…..is a bulldog?" Jewel asked confused while cocking her head to the side. Rafael just turned to face them with a nod. But Luiz on the other hand just turned to face them with an annoyed glare as he felt a bit insulted.

"You got something against dogs?!" Luiz barked while staring at the blue female with angry eyes. But he kept his cool because he knew that they were friends of Rafael's.

"I do if they're drooling on me!" Jewel responded rather irritated as she wiped her turquoise feathers dry. Blu picked up what looked like a dry rag and started to rub Jewel's back to dry off her feathers. She giggled in amusement and kissed him on the cheek.

Luiz soon looked down, mainly because he felt quite upset that Jewel insulted him like that. "It's a medical condition," he replied rather softly as he felt really ashamed by it.

"Look, look amigo we really need your help!" Rafael beamed to try and stop Luiz from feeling down by changing the subject. But it didn't really help him.

"She's mean bro!" Luiz responded while pointing at Jewel with his paw and continued to look upset while constantly sucking up the saliva. But Rafael attempted to persuade him to help.

"Come on amigo! We really, really need your help!" Rafael beamed while lifting up the chain that Blu and Jewel were connected to. Luiz soon dropped his insulted expression and turned it into a thinking expression. He had a long think about what to do.

Luiz's POV

Well, I can tell that they do need my help. Even though that blue female bird is mean! I still can't let Rafi down!

Well, I could use bolt cutters on it…..but the metal might be too strong! Or I could try and melt it with a blow torch? No, no, no I can't do that! I could end up cooking both of them into rotisserie birds!

Well there is of course the saw? YES! Perfect! I'll just use the saw!

Third Person

"I think I know what to do," Luiz replied while he strut along to the workbench. Blu and Jewel looked at each other unsurely and they just looked at him as he put a mask on the back of his head. "Well? Jump on!"

Blu and Jewel gulped nervously and jumped on top of the workbench and slowly turned around. Soon both of their jaws dropped, because they were staring at a really sharp saw on the table. Rafael flew up to the shelf and landed next to a power switch. He sat there ready to turn on the power. Soon Luiz presses down on a lever and brought himself up on top of the workbench.

"Erm, are you sure this is safe?" Blu asked Luiz while turning to face him with a nervous glare. Luiz just smirked and got himself into position.

"Oh sure, there's nothing to it!" He then flipped the mask down so it was covering his entire face. "Now, if something goes wrong! Scream really loud! Because I can't hear too good with this thing on! Hey Rafi! Hit the switch please!" Luiz shouted in the mask but it only sounded like a muffled voice.

Blu and Jewel both looked at Rafael with a really scared look, but Rafael just smiled and waved at them in a friendly manner.

"Don't worry! He's a professional!" Rafael shouted to them with confidence, before pulling the switch down to turn the saw on. The saw started spinning at such a rapid speed that it was making a loud roaring noise. The two blue macaws looked really nervous now as they both huddled together. Nico and Pedro just sat on a perch watching them with so much fear. Nico was hiding behind his bottle cap as Pedro half closed his eyes.

"Now, try not to move! I can't really see out if this thing either!" Luiz demanded, before slowly pushing them towards the saw.

Both Blu and Jewel kept trying to back up, but Luiz was too strong for them. But then something unpredictable happened.

Luiz unexpectedly slipped on his own saliva, and pushed the two lovebirds a bit too far. But as they were getting too close to the saw, Jewel using her quick thinking flew up and grabbed onto the lamp on the ceiling. She swung forwards so quickly that Blu just managed to be pulled above the saw, only losing a few head feathers.

Blu was panicking out loud while being swung back and forth, knocking things off the shelves in the process. Jewel hung on to the lamp as best she could but they then crashed into the back of Luiz.

His mask was caught on the saw and it cut clean through the front of the mask and it fell off his face. But soon Jewel couldn't hang on any longer and she let go as they flew straight into Luiz.

He was dangling off the workbench with the chain caught in his huge teeth. Saliva was dripping down the sides of the chain and it went straight down to the cuffs which Blu and Jewel were attached to. Then with one quick and smooth motion, they slipped out of the cuffs and safely landed on the floor.

Luiz suddenly jumped up and spat out the chain, it then got caught on the saw and stopped it from spinning as the machine broke down.

"Ugh, ewww gross! But I'm free!" Blu shouted in happiness while looking around the garage trying to find his girlfriend. But she was nowhere to be seen. "Jewel? Jewel! We're free! Slimy but free! Contaminated probably but free! Can you believe it's finally…" Blu soon looked up and saw what she was doing.

"Yeahhhh! Woooo!" Jewel shouted out loud with freedom in her heart. She was finally feeling like her old self again flying around the garage.

"….Over," Blu finished while looking at Jewel with a very worried expression. But mostly it felt like he was hurt at what he was seeing.

"Woooo! Oh yeah!" Jewel beamed with happiness while flying up and down, doing tricks in mid air while laughing and smiling the whole time. "Come on guys! Let's go!" Jewel beamed to Nico and Pedro who smiled and stared in awe when seeing Jewel so happy.

"What are we standing around for? It's Carnival!" Nico beamed while shaking Pedro. Rafael and Pedro just chuckled and flew straight up to where Jewel was flying. They were all laughing and cheering. Flying in circles around each other and feeling so alive! But there was still one bird on the ground who wasn't part of this great moment.

Blu slowly walked out of Luiz's garage, and looked up at how happy his friends and girlfriend were. He smiled briefly, but it soon dropped to a sad one. So he sat on the wall and just looked up at Jewel who seemed like she was already having the best day of her life.

Soon Luiz walked out of the garage and noticed that his new friend was just sitting there and looking up at the sky. The bulldog felt quite sorry for him and sat next to him as he watched his friends playing in midair. Luiz soon spoke up to end the awkward silence.

"Sooo, Blu? Why aren't you up there…..with them?" Luiz asked him quite softly while trying to get him to talk. But Blu barely said a word to him. This made Luiz feel a bit awkward considering he thought he might have said something to upset him. But Blu eventually did respond, but with a low and depressed tone of voice.

"I can't fly. How am I supposed to be with Jewel if I can't fly?" Blu replied while sobbing slightly. But Luiz just started scratching his ear and put a paw on Blu's shoulder.

"Yep! I know just how you feel! Watching them up there, makes you want to chase them. And grab them in your mouth….and bite their heads off!" Luiz remarked which made Blu even more depressed when he heard Luiz say, 'Makes you want to chase them'. Shortly after the bulldog said this he quickly changed his face to a joking expression and shoved Blu's shoulder playfully. "Hey! I'm just kidding bro! Yeah, chasing them is plenty!" Luiz smiled and looked up at the happy birds flying around in the sky. Blu slowly turned to him with a depressed face.

"Luiz, not to seem rude but is it okay if I have a little time alone?" Blu replied rather dully to the bulldog. Luiz dropped his smile and nodded his head before saying something while walking away.

"Hey it's ok bro! Take all the time you need! I need to get something from the garage anyway!" Luiz barked in response before jogging back into his garage to find what he was looking for. Blu just looked up at the sky at Jewel. He nodded his head slightly and started to walk back to Rio. He looked over his shoulder one last time, then he started to tear up.

Blu's POV

I guess…..things don't really work out the way we plan sometimes. I mean let's be honest here? Jewel only wanted to be with me because she was chained to me! She didn't really have a fair choice!

Why would she want to be with a nerdy, socially awkward bird like myself? I mean to her I'm just a pet! A domesticated bird with no knowledge of the jungle. She could do way better than me! I'm useless! I'm pathetic! I'm nothing!

She deserves someone who can keep her safe, and I don't think I can. So I think it's best I leave….

Third Person

Blu slowly waddled away from Jewel who was so happy being able to fly again. She started singing her heart out with joy!

"I'm flying! Fly just like a bird!" Jewel sang joyfully while flying around Rafael, Nico and Pedro. Pedro in response just laughed while replying to her in a happy response.

"But Jewel, you are a bird! Haha!" He responded while fist bumping Jewel in mid air. But Jewel then did a barrel roll and hovered in mid air while smiling at Blu. But she was a bit confused as to why he was walking away from them.

"Hey! Where are you going? …Blu?" Jewel asked him with a worried expression on her face. Blu slowly turned to face her with a saddened look. This only made Jewel feel said in response. "Blu? What's wrong?"

"N-nothing! Everything is perfect! You'll be off to the rainforest, and I'll be back with Linda like we planned at the very beginning!" Blu responded with a fake smile. But he tried to hide the fact that he secretly wanted to stay with her as he was scared he might not be able to protect her.

"Blu? We planned on living in the jungle together didn't we? Why are you now changing plans so you can go back to your owner? Don't you like me?" Jewel replied quite upset as she slowly started to sob. Blu then suddenly walked over to her and pulled her close to him as she buried her crying face in his chest feathers. Damping them with her tears.

"No, it's nothing like that Jewel, I just can't spend my life walking around following you wherever you're going. I won't be able to protect you in the wild. I'm useless to you!" Blu replied rather quiet at first but at the end it turned into a louder voice. Jewel soon looked up and backed away from him giving him an annoyed glare.

"Hey, it's not my fault you can't fly! Besides, I can handle myself in the wild thank you very much! You're only useless if you want to be!" Jewel replied in a rather annoyed expression with a few tears rolling down her cheeks. Soon Nico and Pedro overheard the conversation and they felt like it was becoming a little too much.

"Awkward…" Pedro whispered to Nico who nodded his head in agreement. Soon Rafael landed in between the two of them to try and get them to stop arguing.

"Ok, ok! This is good! Just clear the air! Just be completely honest with each other!" Rafael beamed with a nervous chuckle while he attempted to help out the lovebirds. But Blu soon turn to face him with an annoyed glare. He didn't want Rafael to speak for them but he didn't want to sound rude.

"Erm, Rafi? Not to be a bad friend here….but I think I'd rather talk to Jewel alone please?" Blu replied with a grumpy expression on his face. But Jewel just shook her head at him and crossed her wings while facing away from him. Nico and Pedro soon leaned in to eavesdrop on the conversation. Well, that was until Blu caught them and turned to face all three of the party birds. "ALONE!"

"Fine, Jeez!" Rafael, Nico and Pedro all said simultaneously before flying back to the top of the garage. Blu turned back to face Jewel and tried to place a wing on her shoulder, but she slapped it away.

"Come on Jewel? What do you want from me? You know that you're free now! You can go wherever you please, where I can only walk!" Blu replied rather hastily at his supposed girlfriend. She then turned to face him with watery eyes.

"What do I want from you?! How about honesty?! I gave you my affection, my feelings, and I agreed to be with you! But now you are talking about throwing it aside! Then go back to being a pet!" Jewel huffed while letting the tears roll down her cheeks. "Am I not good enough for you?!"

"No! That's not what I'm say….." Blu tried to say while coming closer to Jewel, but she turned away again not facing him. "Will you look at me please!"

"Why?! So you can leave me again?! Look Blu, I don't get it? Why would you rather be with a human than with your own kind?! I want you to stay here with me! And you're acting like you don't care about me!" Jewel shouted in response, while feeling the tears staining her feathers as she wiped them away. Blu then looked at her with a curious expression as to why she is getting so worked up over this. But before he was about to respond, Luiz ran out of the garage wearing what looked like a tight gold vest and underwear. He also wore a fruit hat on his head.

"Yeah! I'm ready for Carnivale! Who wants to ride on my fruit?" Luiz happily shouted while wagging his tail. But soon he got scared as both Blu and Jewel turned to face him.

"NOT NOW!" They both simultaneously bellowed at the bulldog. He just bowed his head and slowly backed away back into the garage. Blu and Jewel then returned their glares to each other.

"Why are you making a huge deal out of this? Yeah I told you I like you and you told me you liked me. Maybe we planned for us living in the jungle after the chain comes off. But like I said I don't know if I can protect you without knowing how to fly! Why are you acting as if this is all my fault?" Blu replied rather agitated and confused. But Jewel had something in her heart that she just couldn't bear to say to him. Because she had never felt this way before about anyone.

"Blu….I…..I…..you know what just forget it!" Jewel was about to say something, but she turned and nearly prepared to take flight. Only to be stopped by Blu who grabbed her wing and turned her around to face him. "No Blu! What do you want?!"

"Why is it you are avoiding the question? Why is me thinking about how you'd be safer without me bothering you? What do you have to say to me?" Blu asked her while staring deep into her turquoise eyes. But she soon tried to wiggle her way free as Blu held onto both her shoulders. She was trying to hold back her tears in the process.

"Nothing…..it's nothing!" Jewel tried to reply while attempting to escape the situation. But both of Blu's wings were firmly gripped on her shoulders. She tried her best to wiggle her way free, but Blu then held onto her left wing to stop her from leaving. "Blu…please, just let me go! You're making this harder then it has to be!"

"I'm not letting you leave without telling me what's wrong? I need to know why you are so desperate to escape this? Why are you getting angry with me for no apparent rea….." Soon Blu got cut off completely, as Jewel just pinched his pressure point and he let go of her. But instead of running away. Jewel narrowed her eyes at him and prepared to yell at him with so much anger and hurt in her voice.

"You want to know why?! You want to know why?!" Jewel yelled while staring back into Blu's chocolate brown eyes. Blu, who was now slightly terrified of her anger stepped back and nodded nervously. Tears started to form in her eyes as she opened her beak to say what she wanted to say to him. "IT'S BECAUSE I LOVE YOU BLU!"

"You….what?" Blu replied rather slowly. Mostly because he couldn't believe what he had just heard. He walked up to her slowly but calmly and looked at Jewel with so much warmth. Jewel's tears soon started to drop onto the pavement. She looked back up at him and sighed heavily while trying not to lose control of her emotions.

"I said….I love you Blu! I'm sorry it's taken me all day to say this. But what you have done for me…..Is much more than what anyone has ever done for me before! Then….you told me you wanted to leave and go back to your owner! It really hurt me inside. I love you Blu so much! Please don't leave me! I don't want to be alone again! Please don't leave me!" Jewel sniffed while replying. Her tears started to dampen her feathers and she flung herself towards Blu.

Blu wrapped his wings around her in a really tight hug. She cried on his chest feathers which didn't really bother him. He smiled softly while stroking her back which calmed her down slightly. Blu had so many things on his mind, but he knew now what he had to do.

Blu's POV

Did she really just say that?! She really loves me! I can't believe it! That explains everything, from the way she tried to fly away from me. The way she felt when she saw me walking away.

I can't leave her here all alone! I mean…..I know I had a good life back in Minnesota with Linda! But I made a promise to Jewel that after the chain came off I would live in the jungle with her! I don't break my promises.

Come on Blu, you can do this! You need to tell her how you feel! Because the truth is I do feel a more deeper kind of feeling towards her. I really do! I need to tell her…

Third Person

"Jewel?" Blu said softly to the light blue female macaw as she slowly looked up to face him. He used his wing to dry away her tears, and he brushed his wing against her cheek. Jewel looked at him with hopeful eyes. She really wanted Blu to stay with her.

"Y-y-yes?" Jewel replied in between hiccups, due to her crying a lot in the past few minutes. Blu slowly leaned in and gave her a really passionate kiss. Jewel was quite surprised at first, but as soon as she got over the shock she closed her eyes and enjoyed the kiss. After they broke apart from the kiss, he looked at her with so much love and care.

"I…..I…..I love you too Jewel," Blu responded rather nervously at first. But after he said it he felt really different inside. His heart was racing, he soon opened his wings wide and from the looks of it, he was about to…take off? "HA! HAHA! I LOVE YOU JEWEL! I LOVE YOU!"

As soon as Blu shouted that, the most unexpected thing happened. He shot up into the air and flew around in circles. Jewel stood there in disbelief. She couldn't believe what she was witnessing! Blu was flying around doing loops and cork screws in mid air like a jet at an air show. He saw Jewel and gave her a wink, then he flew down back to the pavement and bowed. Jewel started to clap her wings while looking at him in shock.

"Blu?! Did you just fly?!" Jewel beamed with excitement and astonishment while Blu was looking at his wings and then back at her with a huge smile.

"I think I just did! Wow! Maybe I'll be just fine in the jungle after all!" Blu shouted before pulling Jewel into a deep hug. Jewel accepted and returned the embrace. But soon, she looked up at him and asked him the all important question.

"Blu? So…..are you going to stay with me?" Jewel asked seductively while batting her eye lashes at him. Blu blushed a deep red and responded while kissing the top of head. She giggled in response.

"Of course my beautiful Jewel! Now…..let's go find Linda!" Blu replied before he flapped his wings and took off to the skies. Jewel just smiled deeply and followed her boyfriend back towards the aviary.

Nico and Pedro fist bumped each other and flew to catch up with their blue friends. Whereas Rafael just perched himself on top of Luiz's garage and sighed while smiling at the lovebirds. "Young love…always so wonderful!" He beamed. He then took off towards the jungle so he can get home for dinner before his wife Eva got mad.

On the way back to the aviary, Blu was thinking to himself while he admired the sight of Jewel as she flew side by side with him. His smile grew wider.

Blu's POV

You know what? I'm actually glad that I am doing this! Living with the love of my life is all I need to keep me going!

I mean, of course it's going to be scary living in the jungle for a little while. But, Jewel can teach me about how to find food, and water, and fighting and…ok so pretty much everything!

But I am willing to go through all that for her. I now know what Rafi meant when he said 'Feel the rhythm of your heart'. Because I told Jewel how I really felt about her! Then, it's like something woke up inside of me! Like the missing part of my life was Jewel, and she awoken the rhythm that was trapped inside my heart!

I am going to really like it here in Rio! I got good friends! I will have a great family some day! And as long as I have Jewel by my side…..everything will be perfect. I will be telling the world, that I've found a girl. The one I can live for, the one who deserves. To give all my heart, a reason to fly. The one I can live for…My reason for life!

Epilogue

Blu and Jewel soon made it back to the aviary safe and sound. They identified that Nigel the big white cockatoo was working for the smugglers and that's how they managed to get kidnapped. So they sent out animal control to find and capture him.

Once word got out that the smugglers would be at the parade, the police came to Carnivale and waited for the three smugglers Marcel, Tipa and Armando. Once they arrived, they were immediately arrested. But Nigel somehow got away, although animal control were still on the hunt for him.

Blu and Jewel soon lived happily in the jungle together, after Tulio decided to build a sanctuary to protect and help the birds of Rio. The project was a huge success and Tulio with his new wife Linda, and adopted son Fernado, were now the owners of the Blue Bird Sanctuary.

Nico and Pedro always came to visit our favourite love birds from time to time, and they even opened up a new club in the jungle. Even though Pedro was against the idea.

Rafael barely had any time to visit his friends, because of the new baby being born and he was under a lot more stress with 18 children. Some birds would have thought 3 was enough!

Luiz didn't exactly do much, he went to Carnivale and had a wonderful night of partying and dancing. But then he went back to his garage and just slept. Very sociable!

It was a very wonderful adventure for two birds who fell in love in a club, on a trolley and even after they had an argument. They still couldn't live without each other! The future is bright for the young blue spix macaw couple!

But before that happened…..

"Hahahahaha! Nobody locks up Nigel the cockatoo! I will have my revenge! I'm unwashable! Unrinseable! Like an abandoned….." Nigel shouted while laughing like a sadistic killer. Well, that was until he was cut off. Because he had managed to get shot in the butt with a tranquilizer dart. "You….g-got….lucky…."

Soon he passed out in mid-flight and crashed onto the shore of the beach. Animal control picked him up, threw him in a cage…..and drove back to base.

Well that is the conclusion to this 2 part one shot! Sorry it took me a while to write, I've had a lot of ideas and a lot of brainstorming ahead of a new story that I'm anxious to share with you!
