So, I am blown away by the reception of this story. I wanted to get it updated five days ago, but I had to leave for a trip to Gibraltar and Morocco, and had no internet or time. I usually get a chapter done in a day if I power through it. Though I am busy at home and usually helping my family or working.

Unlike Grimm Containment or Divine Threat where update schedules are more ambiguous and unknown, this one, will be more frequent due to the shorter word length per chapter. Usually around 1k to 4k per chapter, whereas Grimm Containment or Divine Threat is around 10-20k. I'll update this whenever I can, expect around 3ish days or a week.

So glad you fellas like it. Read and review.

Freedom

At last, he was free. The damage done to his body healing and already mending from the attacks of the superhumans. His legs and claws dug into the earth, every inch forward, every inch towards the freedom he sought during confinement. Each and every single one of his escape attempts during the Foundation, was foiled.

His thoughts turned, to the one human he hated and respected the most. O5-11 or November. Lucian, that was his first name, from what he had gathered over the years during Foundation custody. He respected November, or Lucian for his strength, intellect and cunning decisiveness, and hated him because of it as well. Nearly each time he escaped, just moments away from freedom, O5-11 or the Administrator, usually O5-11, would step in. They would battle, and no matter what tactics he had used, biological changes to himself, the environment… he had lost each and every time when he fought O5-11. Horribly wounded to the point where he could no longer comprehend what was going on, and waking back up in the pot of acid.

But I'm free…

Those words played over through his head, and something akin to joy flickered through the reptilian heart of SCP-682. O5-11 couldn't get to him now, couldn't come on out to stop him.

There were these superhumans, calling themselves heroes, wearing strange colorful clothing. He defeated most of them with ease, not consuming them in favor of escaping. A hero, calling himself Zombieman had stopped him in his tracks, where Zombieman's regenerative capabilities surprised and amazed him. It was rather similar to fighting Able, albeit Zombieman lacked strength.

Zombieman was stomped and crunched, even devoured, but it was horrid. Like something he couldn't consume. Spitting him out, Zombieman was out for a bit. SCP-682 had resumed his venture to freedom as he navigated through the city, using his senses towards the wilderness beyond. Another hero known as Superalloy Darkshine and Tanktop Master had attacked him, just at the edge of the boundary.

It was frustrating a bit, as both of them had posed a significant challenge, especially Darkshine, since SCP-682 had to modify his own physiology in order to stand a chance. Though, neither of them were strong as O5-11, and thus, he had managed to get away from those two after a protracted struggle.

It had been several days since then, the sky turning into a faint red as the sun was beginning to rise. He walked in no particular direction, as his senses told him of various wildlife that lived. Nothing he hadn't seen before his capture. Smaller wild mammals, deer, a bear, a fox. However, there was something else as well, something rather unusual compared to the normal creatures. He followed the scent, where it mixed with several others, seemingly pursuing a human.

She ran as fast she could, her stomach swollen from the pregnancy. The forest was all encompassing, but she followed a rough outline of a trail through it. She was free! Away from the Foundation, from that horrid procedure with a single word she had picked up ages ago.

Montauk

That singular word of horror still remained with her, driving her forward and fueling her adrenaline. She ran for another full minute, before she came to a stop, taking heaving breaths as one hand fell on her belly. There was a faint stirring within. The horrible things done to her to prevent the birth. Not much information was given to her, other than she would give birth to 'their God' as those cultists had spoken, with hushed awe.

Looking up and pushing those memories aside, she observed where she was. The forest was all around, the path she had come from clearly visible, her legs cut with minor scratches as she had ran through the forestry. In ragged breaths, she walked this time, on the trail, ignoring the discomfort of her feet as she walked. She was naked, but… if there was a city or a town nearby, people wouldn't hesitate to give help, especially to a pregnant girl who was naked and visibly hurt. It didn't matter where she was in the world… she was free.

In the distance, she heard a sharp crack and got to the ground almost instantly. It sounded like a gunshot, but she couldn't be sure. The Foundation… they were probably after her. Even when she had just suddenly found herself in a random forest… The Foundation probably had a tracking chip or something.

A loud twack to her left caused her to flinch and nearly scream. Looking in that direction, it was something she hadn't noticed before. A photograph of a smiling bald man was impaled to the tree by several throwing knives. And then, she felt it. A watching presence behind her with a brush of wind.

"Hey, are you alright?" The voice belonged to a man, as she turned around and saw the man. He looked like a ninja, black skin tight clothing with a sword on his back with a purple scarf? He was standing on a flimsy tree branch, and leapt down on the ground. The pale eyes filled with concern as he looked at her, and he stepped closer with a hand reaching out. She instinctively backed away, and the man quickly withdrew tentatively.

"It's okay… I won't hurt you" The man leaned back slightly, and the man tried to smile in a friendly fashion, as if he wasn't used to it. "My name is Speed O Sound Sonic, but you can just call me Sonic."

She looked up carefully, and observed Sonic for a few moments, before she extended her own hand. Her real name came up, not the ones the cultists gave her, or the SCP designation by the Foundation.

A slight croak and a waver, she spoke for the first time in a long time. "D-... Diana" She managed to speak out, the words curling and rolling off her tongue. Sonic smiled gently at her, as he pulled out a small purple packet which soon extended into a thin blanket.

"Diana… that's a beautiful name." Sonic said softly, as he handed her the blanket, which she soon wrapped around herself. "What are you doing out here by yourself? Z-City isn't too far away, but this area is a hot spot for monsters." Sonic's voice was gentle and soft, a stark contrast of what the Foundation researchers would speak around her, or the cultists.

She didn't know how to answer Sonic's question, rather the thought of the Foundation gave her involuntary shivers. He certainly noticed, because he quickly reassured her.

"Who did this to you?" He asked, a sorrowful tone mixed with a dark snarl came from Sonic.

Diana took a few moments to answer, clutching the purple blanket tightly. Swallowing, she took a wavering breath before speaking again.

"Mon-... monsters."

Sonic's eyes hardened, his teeth clenching as his hands balled into fists. "Monsters you say? There's quite a few that live around here, there's a rumor of strong monsters gathering for a purpose." Sonic pointed into a side of the forest, where she looked and let out a small gasp.

A monster… like the ones she imagined, the kind that would hide in closets and under the bed. It was a cyclopean creature, splayed on the ground from slash marks. "That one, was blabbering something about a Monster Association. I dealt with it since he kept trying to pick a fight."

Diana responded to Sonic softly, her eyes looking away from the dead monsters. "It wasn't that kind of monster that did this to me… it was the other kind. The real monsters, that wear human masks and pretend to be us. Pretend to eat, pretend to laugh, pretend to care… pretendtodoso!" The last part was rushed out, as Diana took a shivering breath again.

Sonic opened his mouth to talk, only to stop. His expression morphing into a myriad of different kinds. "Yes… Diana, I suppose those are the true monsters in this world." Then suddenly, Sonic darted forward, pulling her aside as Diana squawked in surprise. Where she was standing momentarily, there was a humanoid figure with blades that stabbed into the ground.

"Hee hee, what a fast one!" The thing said, looking closer, it was a mummified figure, two large owlish eyes and blades… that replaced its arms.

"Royal Ripper!" Sonic spat out, his sword drawn with a metallic hiss. "Even in the ninja village, we've heard of you." Sonic placed himself between Royal Ripper and herself, taking a defensive stance. "I'm no hero, but I'll kill you."

There was a roar in the distance, followed by a: "Then die!" Royal Ripper laughed, an eerie laugh that sent shivers down Diana's spine. It was like a ghost of urban legends. "Do you know who that is? It's Goketsu, the martial arts champion. He's pounding the Immortal Reptile into the ground." Royal Ripper grated his blades against each other, making a scraping sound.

"Two Dragon level monsters, duking it out." Royal Ripper said in glee, raising the blades as it glinted in the light. Sonic's head turned around, scanning the environment, and Diana saw a second monster appear. It was a larger creature, some form of mouse as it grinned down at Sonic.

"Two humans!" The mouse creature exclaimed, its beady eyes focusing on her, the grin extending. "Well technically three I suppose" Then it laughed at its own comment. It focused on Sonic again, speaking directly to him.

"You think you can take us on human? I'm Super Mouse, and like Royal Ripper, we're disaster level Demon." Super Mouse boasted, raising its hands and curling them into fists.

"Make that three" Diana looked to where the new voice had come from, the direction where she had been running from. It was a giant creature, glossy brown skin with spiky features, and… it looked like a bug.

"Bug God, lookie here, we have a pair of humans! Its a nice surprise isn't it?" Royal Ripper said with sadistic glee, the owlish eyes lighting up with joy.

Sonic began to laugh, raising the point of his sword higher. "Disaster Level Demon, Dragon… they're nothing to me. None of you here can match my speed and skill." His free hand pointed back, over Diana's head. "Diana, run as fast as you can that way. The abandoned Z-City District is there, and beyond, the downtown area of the city. I'll take care of the monsters here and catch up to you soon."

Diana nodded slowly, reaching out and gently touching Sonic's hand. "Thank you" She whispered as his sword flashed, at Royal Ripper who took a step forward. Turning to the direction Sonic pointed to, she ran once again as the sound of metal striking each other began.

[-]

He was faster than the monsters here. Sonic was aware of that as he parried Royal Ripper's attacks and dodged Bug God's fists. His hand flashing as the shurikens flew out, impacting Bug God and Super Mouse, while Royal Ripper managed to avoid it.

The cry of pain came from Super Mouse, while Bug God merely barreled through undaunted. "You think that can hurt me? Those are tiny firecrackers, my exoskeleton can withstand anything!" The monster declared, its fists tearing up the ground. Sonic leapt out of the way, while twisting to deflect a strike from Royal Ripper.

He landed on top of a tree branch, the three monsters staring up at him. The path the girl had taken was visible, but she was away now. "You three aren't even that strong! Demon-Level? This merely shows my power and how strong I am. None of you can even keep up with my speed." His sword flashed, the midday sun glinting off of the blade.

"I am Speed O Sound Sonic, the fastest ninj-" Sonic immediately leapt to the side as his instincts had screamed within. The tree he was standing on moments ago was uprooted from the ground. A gigantic humanoid monster flung it aside with one hand, while the other held a torn reptilian carcass. Its many eyes tracked Sonic's movements as he jumped about. The reptilian carcass was flung aside soon after, just as Sonic landed on a new tree.

"Not bad, you're pretty fast for a human." The monster rumbled as its arms crossed.

What the hell? Sonic thought as he observed his opponent. Wasn't it fighting a Dragon level monster just moments ago? Unless…

"We have two executives in the Monster Association just like you. Very similar movements… they're ninjas as well." The monster stepped forward, its feet shaking the ground with each step. "I know of your village, where you had trained. I am Goketsu, a Senior Executive of the Monster Association."

Two others from the village? The name Goketsu was familiar, something of a martial artist that disappeared years ago.

"You should join us, just like the two. Gale Wind and Hellfire Flame. With monsterization, we can give you strength and speed far more than what you could imagine." Sonic could feel the eyes of the other monsters below watching him.

An image of Saitama flashed by, of how Sonic sought to overcome that mountain and defeat his archenemy. But, Sonic had a job to do. He didn't work with monsters and usually killed them. If two other ninjas from the village had thrown their lot with the monsters, then so be it. He had to buy time for that girl as she fled.

He began to chuckle, as he slashed the air with his sword. "Join you? As if I'd ever work with monsters, and I highly doubt that you can make me faster. Once I kill all of you here, I'll go and crush your Monster Association!"

With blinding speed, he rushed forward at Goketsu. I'll cut into his neck an-

His thought process was cut off, as something impacted him painfully and Sonic was flung into the distance. As he flew, he realized… that Goketsu had merely swatted him aside like a fly.

[-]

"What about that other human Goketsu? Do we go after her?" Royal Ripper called out to the behemoth.

"I don't care, but Royal Ripper, Gyoro Gyoro wants to talk with you." Goketsu rumbled back. "You others can get the human, I have better things to do.

She had arrived at the city at last, the pain in her feet dull and distant as the ground turned into pavement and asphalt. It was the afternoon now, and she trodded forward.

It was empty, giving off an eerie atmosphere, but she pushed on undaunted. Diana had gotten this far, and in a city, she had a more decent chance of survival. The thin blanket wrapped around her reminded her of her predicament. Passing by a smashed wall with an outline of a monster, this was the abandoned district Sonic spoke of. There were probably clothes she could wear.

Entering a nearby store, Diana stepped around the broken glass. Walking around some of the isles, she found some larger clothes and a pair of shoes two sizes bigger. Putting them on, a twiver of fear lessened, as she had now felt more human. The thin blanket Sonic had given her, was wrapped tightly around her still like a cloak.

There was also some food and juice in containers, which Diana ate and drank hurriedly. The tingling sensation in her stomach increased slightly, and now she knew that the pregnancy would happen soon. She grabbed a few things, in a small bag, now feeling slightly better as her chances of survival increased.

"There you are girly!" A voice hollered as she stepped out of the store.

The source came from a really strange looking monster, if she had to guess. It was a shower with a clunky body. It walked towards her, and Diana turned to run. Only for her path to be blocked by a second one. This one was scarier and menacing. A horn for a head with countless eyes that fell on her.

"We got rid of that human, Goketsu flicked him aside!" The horn creature jeered at her. Diana felt a sinking sensation as the implication that Sonic had fallen, trying to protect her. What he had done for her, was more than what anyone had done. It wasn't lost on her, and Diana's hand fell on her stomach. The cult and the Foundation believed that it would lead to an apocalypse if she gave birth. As she observed the hideous creature before her, a bolt hit her within.

If they killed her, it would still cause carnage, from the other girls that had died. She remembered the devastation that had ran rampant through the facility. It didn't matter if she lived or died. Either way, whatever was in her stomach would cause a Doomsday.

Diana began to laugh at that, the two monsters moving in visible confusion. "Think she lost her mind?" The shower one spoke up from behind. The horn creature merely shrugged, as it stepped closer to her. Its mouth turning up into a sneer.

"Eh, who cares. She's just a human." It raised a hand to grab her, and it was suddenly engulfed in flames. Diana stumbled back in surprise, just as the shower thing let out an exclamation as well.

"Two monsters Sensei. Allow me to handle this." A sound of heavy footsteps was heard, the smoke clearing to reveal the horn creature slightly darkened, but seemingly unharmed. The newcomer, as Diana looked in surprise, was a blonde, with metallic parts that featured prominently.

"Y-you bastard!" The horn creature snarled and lunged forward, only to be flung violently to the side as the blonde performed a roundhouse kick.

"Its the new S-Class Hero Genos! Hey Unihorn, think we can take on a S-Class?" The shower thing called out.

"Yes Showerhead!" Unihorn gritted out as it righted itself. "Super Mouse is on his way."

The blonde, or Genos, simply launched forward towards Unihorn, as Unihorn let out a blood curdling scream of pain under the furious blows. There was a squeaking sound, and a powerful blast of water rushed past her head.

"I'll melt you in chemicals even unknown to me!" Showerhead cackled, running forward as it leapt in the air.

Genos jumped as well, the glowing orbs on his hands igniting as Diana covered her face. There was a howl of pain, as hissing noises erupted. Looking back up, a harsh stench of chemicals permeated the air.

Showerhead had been flung to the ground, as Genos flew down with rocket thrusters, landing on Showerhead and delivering a series of fast blows that shattered the faucet, and defeating the monster.

Unihorn stumbled up, its body torn and filled with dents. It looked around, and Diana saw a person she hadn't noticed before. A simple looking bald man, with a bag of groceries in his hand.

"I'll take a hostage! You wouldn't dare to attack me!" Unihorn lunged out to grab the bald man as Genos exclaimed: "Sensei!"

"Sorry man" The bald man said suddenly. "I gotta get home before the ice cream melts." He walked forward nonchalantly, ducking slightly as Unihorn tried to grab him.

The monster let out a snarl, and its hand fell on the man's bald head. "Listen he-"

A colossal shockwave was what resulted next, as Diana clutched the blanket tightly. The bald man had a hand raised behind him, a frown on his head. "Don't touch my head." He said with a defensive measure. Unihorn, was nowhere to be seen, only a vague outline of his body into a distant wall behind them was visible.

Saitama glanced around, where Genos walked towards him and a girl with a purple blanket was staring at him with wide eyes. The girl stepped towards him hesitantly, the uncertainty in her eyes. She was probably terrified, if those monsters were about to get her. He smiled gently at her and reached into the bag.

"Would you like some ice cream?" Saitama asked, the frozen treat of goodness held out in front of him.

A/N: Next chapter coming soon, this one feels more clunky, but that was because I kept having auditory hallucinations and half of the time my head feels like spinning so much. I'm clean, I don't do any drugs or alcohol or stuff like that.
