I don't own anything related to RWBY or roosterteeth.
All that could be heard was the rapid clicking of heels on tile as Professor Glynda Goodwitch made her way to the office of her superior. Made all the more urgent by the fact that she had two followers behind her as well. She having interrupted both during their little courtyard greeting, which she was going to have to fix when this had all blown over. The Headmaster's door opened with a loud bang as she and her compatriots made themselves known to the two men inside. One being the head of security for the Vytal festival while the other was the Headmaster of Beacon Academy.
"Glynda." General Ironwood greeted with a nod.
"James." She nodded back.
"Hey Jimmy!"
"That's General Ironwood to you, you drunken idiot!"
"Specialist Winter, Qrow, glad you two could make it." Ozpin announced his presence to the room.
"Hey Oz, what's up? Glynda said something about Ruby and Yang, what's wrong?" For once Qrow's sarcastic humor had been put aside when the well fair of his nieces were in question.
"Yes, I in fact would like to know the reason I was sought at specificly in regards to my sister Weiss. Has something transpired? Are they alright?" It would seem that Winter could, in fact, put aside her differences with Qrow when it came to family matters.
"Of course, take a seat, please." Ozpin gestured for the two to do so.
"If you don't mind Oz, I'd rather stand."
"For once, I agree with Qrow. I would prefer to stand."
"That's fine, Glynda, if you could please shut the door." A thunk and a click was heard. "Thank you. The reason I had Glynda collect you both was indeed a matter pertaining to your relations with both Yang Xiao Long and Ruby Rose, and with Weiss Schnee."
Qrow waved a hand dismissively. "Cut the bullshit Oz, what happened with Ruby, Yang and their teammate."
"Qrow!" Glynda admonished. Ozpin held up a hand to silence her.
"It's alright. I apologize. Both team RWBY and team JNPR had a standared Grimm slaying mission given to them, did the two of you know this?" He asked instead.
Qrow answered first. "Yeah, Rubys been telling me about it for a couple a weeks now."
Winter spoke as well. "Yes, my sister has mentioned it in one of her letter's. Why? Has something transpired?" She asked again.
Both James and Ozpin sighed, then James spoke. "Yes. As of fifteen hundred hours, Monday evening, team RWBY and team JNPR are presumed missing in action."
As soon as the words left his mouth the Qrow erupted. "What the hell do you mean missing in action!?"
"What was their location? Has there been any contact before or after their disappearance?" Winter's questions were more restrained than Qrow's. But barely so. You could see her hands tighten into fists. And they did indeed have that right. Ozpin and James both knew how much the two held their family dear.
"There has been no contact between the two at this time, however, I have some of the best Huntsman and Huntresses at my command scouring the Forever Fall forest as we speak. Once there is news, you will be the first to know." Ozpin assured.
"I also have my Bullheads scanning the forest as well. If something has happened, we will know."
"Yeah, well. I know where I'm going to be. Looking for my nieces. You coming Winter?" Qrow said as he made his way to the door. Winter hesitated for a moment before following as well.
"Qrow, Miss Schnee, that will not be necessary. Someone is already looking for the two teams and would be a lot better suited for the task than you two."
At this the two paused, both turning around slowly.
"Who?" Both said at the same time.
Ozpin once again gestured for them to take a seat. They relented this time, the wooden chairs scraping as they were pulled back. Qrow looking impatient while Winter looked agitated. Ozpin let them calm down a bit before continuing.
"As the two of you may know, Pyrrha Nikos is attending Beacon this year to continue her Huntress training." Receiving nods from the two, he kept speaking. "The team she was assigned too was team JNPR."
Qrow and Winter shared a glance before Qrow spoke. "So what? Does Leonidas have an army looking for his precious daughter or something? It's our family that is in danger, not to be an asshole towards her but what does she have to do with team RWBY?"
Ozpin shook his head. "May I finish? Yes? Good. I wasn't implying that Miss Nikos' father was getting involved, he has already put his trust in me on the matter. No, what I meant, was who else was on her team."
Once again a look of confusion passed between Qrow and Winter. "Who?"
Ozpin looked Qrow straight in the eye. "Joan Arc. Miss Nikos' partner."
The silence was almost deafening, you could've heard a pin drop. Before Qrow, broke it.
"Samuel's kid? Who'd he send?'
"His son."
Even Glynda and James looked confused at that. "He has a son?" Qrow took out his flask and chugged at it lightly. Giving a small sigh and a even smaller chuckle. Before saying the only thing he could think of at that moment.
"Fuck."
"Come on guys! There's a cave up ahead!"
"Where'd he go?! Where'd he go?!"
"I don't care! Get Ruby and Ren inside! They're in no shape to fight! Blake! Weiss! Go ahead and scout the cave, see if it's open or enclosed."
"Got it!"
"Lets go!"
"But be careful! We don't need anymore wounded! Yang, Nora, set them down here. Pyrrha, can you set down some sleeping bags? We don't need risk of infection."
"Yes, here."
"Good, now head back to the front, you're the only one so far that can give that psycho a run for his money. But be careful! If you see him, fire a couple of shots. Nora and Yang can support you. Try to keep him away if possible." As if she could. That... Thing. The way it had been following the whole time, relentlessly for the last few days. It was scary. He'd ambushed them at the right time too, just after they had cleared out a pack of Beowolve's. They were tired after fighting, that's when he struck. Joan was roused from her thought's when Blake and Weiss came jogging back. Blake was the first to speak.
"The cave has no other passage way that we could see. And we didn't see any traces of Grimm or wild animals."
"What Blake says is correct. We also found a more defensible position deeper within." Weiss said. Joan just shook her head.
"No. We can't go in any farther. Unless you plan to use all your fire Dust, Weiss. The only people that would have the advantage would be Blake and that nut job.
No, we have to stay near the mouth so we can see him or anything else that'll make it's way in here."
The three shared a glance towards the mouth of the cave where Pyrrha was standing guard. Yang and Nora were huddled close by Ren and Ruby. The two had not fared well against the crazy Faunus, who could match their speed and flexibility. His tail would have taken Ruby's head off if it wasn't for Weiss and her glyph's. Ren having been taken by surprise when the man first attacked. A semi-large gash across the left side of his torso had rendered him out for the entire fight. For some reason his aura hadn't healed him yet either, which was disturbing. Ren also had a strange purple discoloration to his blood at the wound. Blake said it might be a type of poison, also saying that some types of Faunus could produce their own poison depending on their features. That was worrisome. They didn't bring any kind of anti-venom either.
Joan was tending to Ruby who had tried to fight the madman in close quarters with her scythe. The Faunus had been able too completely bend double when she had swung. Dodging the attack effortlessly and delivering a strong hit to her head. He'd almost killed her until Yang went full rage mode and made him back off.
Allowing the others bar Ren, to launch their own attacks. They had been avoiding him for who knew how long. They'd missed their rendezvous with the Beacon shuttle, having been hounded ever since he'd shown up. They'd driven him off and were able to escape through a cluster of trees that led to where they were now.
The crack of a rifle echoed throughout the cave. Five hands went flying to weapons as they went into various combat stances. Joan having deployed her shield and taken a low stance so that Nora could fire over her if necessary. Blake hugging the wall of the cave while Weiss threw a glyph in front of both Ren and ruby, including herself. Yang jumped in front of the glyph in case she needed to immediately assist Pyrrha at the front of the cave. They all sighed in relief, but only slightly lowered the stances when they heard Pyrrha shout from the front.
"It was only a Beowolf! It got a little too close for my comfort."
"Thank dust," Joan mumbled. "Have you seen anything else?"
"Thankfully no. But I doubt that will be the case for very long."
The rest sighed as they went back to checking on their wounded teammates. Saying they were restless was an understatement. They had been chased non-stop for the last three days. They were tired, hungry, scared and not to mention freaked the hell out. With Blake and Weiss tending to Ren and Ruby, Joan walked up to her partner and joined her in scouting the clearing the cave was facing. It was roughly the size of a baseball diamond, with tree's running along the entire perimeter. Joan let out a shaky sigh before asking the red-headed spartan the damnable question.
"Have you seen him?"
Pyrrha glancing over in her direction for a moment before resuming her watch. "No. Have you ever encountered anything like him before?" She asked.
Joan sighed again while she wracked her brain for any memories of the lunatic. "No," She replied. "Do you remember me saying that my father owned a private company that employed Huntsman?" Pyrrha gave her a nod. " Well, sometimes we receive threats and the like from other people. Normally it's the ones that have had family die or injured in the wake of Huntsman battles. But I don't ever remember seeing him before. So I don't know who he is. Maybe someone after me? Maybe Weiss? I don't know. All I do know is that he hurt Ruby and Ren, for that I'm going to kick his ass." She said that with such finality Pyrrha let out a small laugh. Pyrrha herself hoped and prayed that they wouldn't see the madman ever again.
But, you know what they say about tempting fate.
The forever Fall forest was a very beautiful place. The trees being in a constant state of orange and gold. The leaves that fell off the branches of the trees giving the ground the illusion of a copper sea. Some people would come to it to take pictures or draw paintings. Others, well.
Thoom
Others, came for a different reason. And for the man currently in the woods at the moment, that reason was to find a lost little sister. The Ursa who had so rudely interrupted his musings, fell to the ground with a thud. A large bullet casing flying up into the air before being caught by the man who had fired it. Stuffing the 50. ASG back into his holster, Jaune Arc stepped over the large hunk of dissolving flesh that used to be an Ursa major. With a grunt he stepped into the clearing where teams JNPR and RWBY were originally supposed to be extracted. Jaune reached up to his ear and tapped the device placed inside.
"This is Devil dog, I'm at the drop-zone. There are signs of mass conflict."
The radio crackled a little before another voice could be heard. "Copy that Devil dog, what can you see?"
He did a thorough examination before answering. "Well for starters; there are blast craters along the treeline, gouge's in the ground that look to at least be half a foot deep. Not too mention traces of blood around two different area's. Is the drone ready?"
The radio was silent for a minute before they spoke again. "Can confirm, drone's at your location and ready to receive orders. Link to your PDA to give orders."
"Heh, thanks sis."
"Your welcome big brother. Now, go find our little sister. Command out."
"Roger that command. I'll get Joan home." With that said, he linked his PDA to the military grade micro drone, and set off.
The Sun was starting to set over the forever Fall forest. The tree's letting off an almost glowing radiance along the clearing. But for a one Pyrrha Nikos, it meant that challenge had just begun. With coming of night, their foe would have the upper advantage. The Faunus having almost near perfect night vision. It would mean that they would need to keep camping lantern's at the mouth of the cave to be able to see. But in turn, would end up giving away their location. Now they could always have Blake stay up and guard the front while the rest tended to their wounded teammates. But that would mean only one person on guard. Which if something were to happen, the rest would never know, and the ambush would be sprung. So that's why Joan had them roll two fairly large boulders to the front of the cave. So they could set their light source in front and be safely hidden in the rear. Weiss had been able to spare some fire dust from her Rapier for a small fire. It had gotten slightly chilly in the later hours of the evening, so one had to be built for the sake of Ren and Ruby whose aura's still hadn't began to heal their injuries. Yang clinging to Ruby as Nora was doing the same to Ren.
Joan came up to Yang and asked how she was doing. Yang attempted a smile, but it was so forced she gave up and let her grimace be known.
"I don't know, her Aura won't activate and she has shakes and chills." Yang looked her fellow blonde in the eyes. The beginnings of tears on the corners. "I don't know what to do." She said in a barely heard whisper. Joan sat down next to her and gave a sideways hug.
"Hey, it'll be alright. Ruby and Ren will be fine. Once tomorrow comes we'll head straight for Beacon. No stops, no side tours, straight for home." She grinned a little before saying: "And if that asshole comes back, I'm sicking Nora and Pyrrha on him. With those two, sheesh, dust help us."
Yang laughed at that, the first sounds of laughter since this hellish nightmare began. Giving another quick squeeze to the buxom brawler, she hopped up and headed toward where Pyrrha and Weiss had taken first watch. The night had just come and you could hear the wind rustling through the leaves. The animals of the day having already gone to the land of dreams while their nocturnal brethren had just awoken. Lightning bugs flying around lazily in the air. Pyrrha giving a small wave as Joan walked up to the boulders, Blake joining them shortly after.
"How are you two doing?" She asked.
"Fine, for the moment. We haven't seen anything yet, hopefully it stays like that." Pyrrha responded. Sounding a little tired herself. Weiss hummed her acknowledgement while keeping her eye's out towards the dark moonlit night. The Heiress had a pensive look across her face, that didn't go unnoticed by the resident paladin.
"Penny for your thought's Weiss?"
Weiss was jolted back to reality at the Arc's words. "Hm? Did you say something Joan?"
"Yes, I was wondering what you had on your mind." Joan replied. Now leaning against one of the boulders that was off to the side. "You been staring off into the distance for the last forty minutes."
"Well I-" Weiss gave a great sigh before adjusting her ruffled clothing into a proper, well, semi-proper appearance. She looked as if she was placing her thoughts in order before she spoke.
"Have any of you wondered why this," She gave a Blake a glance. "Lunatic, no offense Blake."
"None taken."
"Has been chasing us?" Joan had been wondering about that as well. It didn't make any sense. Why would he be trying to kidnap Ruby? Or kill them? It just didn't make sense. She had run through the plausible reasons. Weiss being extremely rich, Blake for being White Fang, and Pyrrha for also being a potential ransom tool. But he hadn't made a move towards them except for when they outright attacked him or if they got in his way.
"Hey Blake?"
"Yes?"
"Did he remind you of anyone you may have seen in the White-"
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr
The second Joan asked there was a loud roar outside the cave entrance. The Hunters-in-training already having weapons in hand, leaping away from where the dark met the light of the cave.
"Blake you see anything?" Joan asked with teeth clenched. When she replied "No" that only made the tension worse. Pyrrha and Joan tightening their shield formation to allow Weiss and Blake to attack from behind.
The would be aggressor stepped into view, a very large alpha Beowolfe. Maybe the largest they had ever seen. The hulking mass of the creature's black and white armored hide coming into view from the darkness of the night. Scars adorned the monstrosities body making it clear that this was not your average everyday Beowolfe.
"Weiss, I need you to be able to summon as much fire Dust as you can alright? When I give the signal throw everything you have at it." Joan said. The Heiress' acknowledgement being the familiar whirring and clicking of her rapier. "Pyrrha, when that thing takes two more steps, we attack it, you go right, I'll go left. Go for the legs, got it?"
"Yes Joan."
The Beowolfe started to take a step before it stopped. Turning its head towards the front of the cave, ears perking up on the top of its head, it's back straight towards it's enemy. But that wasn't what concerned the old wolfe. No, it was something else out in the dark that made it pause. A smell of it's own kind, but distorted. But turning away would be it's downfall, it knew this.
"Now!" As one Joan and Pyrrha swept along the sides of the cave while Weiss and Blake fired their weapons straight into the beast' center mass. Joan scoring a hit across it's lower right hindquarter while Pyrrha did the same to it's left. The alpha roaring its displeasure as it tried to swipe at Joan meeting nothing but steel as it's claws sparked off Crocea Mors' shield. Blake running down and sliding under and scoring a low hit that had the alpha roaring again. Concerned that with the Beowolfe roaring it would bring more of it's brethren down on them, the four Huntresses in training amped up their attacks. Joan making use of her Semblance, Empower. It made her more resilient towards most forms of attack and with the right consumption of her aura, it allowed her to make her attacks faster than normal. With her semblance active she rushed the Beowolfe, sliding under it's large body delivering a staggering blow to it's underside. The other's had no trouble finishing the thing off. While Joan and Pyrrha were leaning against the side of the cave trying to catch their breath, Blake had walked up and was staring out into the night, a look of horror on her face. Joan and Pyrrha noticed this and shared a look between them. As they gathered around Blake, they too felt fear pervade their entire being.
Ten alpha Beowolves were gathered along the outside of the cave, snarling and growling vibrating through their bodies. The negative emotions having attracted the alpha Grimm like moths to a flame.
"T-there's so many..."
"How? Alpha's don't gather like this!"
Growling and howls was their answear. When the unholy beast' charged, the members of RWBY and JNPR shared a look between friends. A silent message echoing through their minds. As one they stood up to the charging creatures of darkness. If they were to die, they would die standing side-by-side with their brother and sister's in arms.
FWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
The Beowolves stopped their charge at the high pitched sound. Heads and ears standing tall.
That was a mistake.
THOOM
THOOM THOOM THOOM THOOM THOOM
Pyrrha shouted out in alarm as part of a Beowolfe almost knocked her head off. They stared at the dead Grimm as it started to fade into dust. Whipping their heads back to the entrance to see the remaining Beo's rushing towards where the shots had come from. Two more shots follwed before as a cloaked figure moved through the Grimm, cutting through them piece by piece. When the final Grimm fell into a pool of it's own blood, the figure stepped into the light. A large silver colored pistol in his left hand while a midnight black Katana was in his right. He was wearing black combat boots with dark grey almost black cargo pants.
He had a drop-leg holster on his left hip that led up to a black belt that had ammo pouches and assorted things attached. He wore a dark grey, long sleeved shirt with a small harness that slung across his upper body. To hold a sheath for his Katana probably. Along with his black finger less gloves, he had a black hood over his head, with two furry ears coming out of the top. But what stood out the most to the young hunters-in-training was his face mask. It was a half mask that only covered the lower half of his face, but what stuck out about it was the skeletonized canine jaw. Rows upon rows of printed teeth gave a fearful appearance. Yang and Weiss exchanged looks as they subtly lowered their posture into a more combat oriented stance, Pyrrha mirroring them. They were about to call out to the stranger when Joan beat them to it.
"Jaune!"
Weiss, Yang and Pyrrha shared a confused look. "Jaune?"
Before they could question it any further, Joan took off into a mad dash at their savior. He turned in the direction of the person that had called his name and replied in a soft but gruff voice. "Joan!"
He sheathed his sword and slipped his pistol into his holster before spreading his arms wide, Joan jumped into the greeting and began to sob. He stroked her hair with slow gentle strokes as she sobbed into his shoulder. The stress of everything had finally caught up to Joan, almost losing Ruby and Ren then almost dying themselves. She couldn't handle it anymore.
"J-Jaune, I was so s-scared! We were stuck in the cave and "hic" our friends were hurt and we didn't know if we were going to make it! But you're here so e-everything's going to be alright. Right?"
Jaune held his little sister tight as he whispered into her ear, rocking her back and forth slightly as he did. "Shh, it's ok, it's ok. I'm here, you're okay. C'mon, lets get inside, you said some of your friends were hurt?"
"Yes, Ruby and Ren. They're hurt bad. Can you help them?"
"Of course I can. C'mon, lead me to them."
He set Joan back down on the ground but didn't fail to notice how she kept close to him the whole time. If she was being the clingy than it had really been close. He felt a twinge of frustration surge through him because of all the Grimm he had to kill to get here in the first place. He had started to run low on ammunition and he had resorted to using his Katana, Victix Mortalis, to deal with them. He saw how most of the kids inside had there weapons deployed, some had already sheathed them. He guessed it was because of his appearance more than likely.
"What is your team's name?" He asked the blonde haired girl. She was rather beautiful, luscious hair that looked like a lions main. A ten-out-of-ten body that most girls her age would probably kill for. But he purged those thoughts from his head. It wasn't well looked upon, eyeing up a minor. She lowered her hands that had her weapons on the wrists'. Shotgun gauntlets? Interesting.
She looked up at him with a confused expression. "Huh?"
He rubbed the bridge of his nose as he sighed before clarifying. "I mean, what is your team's designation? You know, your name? I already know Joan's." He looked at the two girls standing off to his left as he said this. "You're Pyrrha Nikos right?"
The girl in question stepped forward to stand along with her leader. "Yes, I am Pyrrha Nikos."
He turned to the girl in pink. "And you must be Nora Valkyrie."
She gave him a mock salute. "Yep!" But the supposed joy she radiated was forced, he glanced up and saw two forms lying on their backs. The one in green he assumed was Joan's other teammate, Lie Ren he thought.
Nikos came up to him once more. He could see the questions in her eyes. "And if I may be so bold, who are you? And how do you know Joan?"
It clicked in Joans mind that she had forgot that minor detail. She slapped a hand to her forehead."Crap, I forgot to tell you guys! This is Jaune, my big brother."
Looks of astonishment crossed over their collective faces. "That's your brother?!" Valkyrie shrieked. He winced at the sheer volume of her voice, and also hoped it didn't attract the Grimm anymore then what their current situation already had. He cleared his throat gaining the kids' attention once more.
"Okay, time for introductions has passed. Joan, how bad are your teammates injuries?" He asked as he pushed through the teens making his way over to the wounded Hunters-in-training.
Joan was by his side in a flash while she told him about their wounds. "Ruby has some trauma to her head but I haven't been able to find anything else. Ren has a large gash along the left side of his body. And we think their is some type of venom in the wound. His aura hasn't started to heal it yet. Can your Semblance help?"
Weiss was the first of them to question that. "What about his Semblance? How can it help them?" The others were wondering the same thing as they followed him and Joan over to Ruby and Ren's unconsious forms. Pyrrha had stayed on guard watching the entrance but was also listening to the conversation.
Jaune was the one to answear the Heiresses inquirery. "My Semblance is aura manipulation. I can feed my aura to other's to boost their reserves or strengthen the persons Semblance. It also allows me to control mine better in addition to having a larger than normal aura myself. In short it's like I have the ability to heal others as long as they have aura, it doesent work with that that don't have any."
He came up to the girl in red, Ruby he remembered his sister saying, and opened up one of her closed eyes. Siver, odd, he didn't think he had ever seen anyone with silver eyes before. No matter, he pulled a small oen light from one of the many pouches on his hip, shining it in her eye before switching to the other. He let her eyes close again while he went over to the boy in green. The blonde girl from earlier pulled him around so that she was staring into his eyes.
"Well? How is she? Will she be alright?"
He pushed her hand off his shoulder. "She has a minor concussion. I assume something heavy hit her in the head while you all were fighting right? Grimm arm or something?" It was the Faunus girl who spoke this time.
"It wasn't a Grimm that attacked us."
He raised an eyebrow at her remark. "Then what was it?"
She realeased a a breath. "It was a Faunus man, he was insane. He attacked us out of nowhere, that's how he got Ren and Ruby."
Jaune mumbled to himself as he took in this new information. 'Great, another thing to add on to the long list of bullshit I have too out up with.' He went back to checking the boys wounds when he came upon the gash. It was rather jagged in appearence, about seven inches long by about a one-inch wide. The kid was lucky it hadn't went three inches to the right or he wouldn't be alive right now. Sure enough, there was a strange discoloration near the wound.
He reache behind him to a small pouch that had a black and dark green cross imprinted on it. He unscewed the cap to one of the water-proof vial and pulled out a cotten Q-tip. Something felt off about it, he thought he had seen something like this before. When he pulled the the small piece of cotten away,
there was a purplish tinge to it.
He looked back to the girl in black. "Who did you say attacked you again? Can you describe him?"
She looked at the girl in white before she nodded. "He was a Faunus, one I have never seen before. He was wearing a brown overcoat and dark pants. He had a white shirt under his coat and a leather harness on too."
Something was niggling at the back of Jaune's mind. "What else was there? What was his Faunus trait?"
"Something I had never knew until this day was possible. He was a scorpion Faunus."
As soon as she said that Jaune froze. The feeling in the back of his head hitting him like a frieght train. He stood up and grabbed onto the girls shoulders.
Her team as well as the other three jumping in alarm at his action.
"Did he have long brown hair tied in a pony tail?"
The look of fright in her eyes said it all. "Y-yes."
"And were his weapons a mecha-shift wrist blade and sub-machine gun combination?"
"I-I think..."
The next thing he said sent a chill along their spines. "And did he have a smile that made a part of your soul die?"
She didn't say anything as he realeased her. He threw the vial of cotten swabs away and the heard the sound shatter at his actions. "Mother fucker!" He shouted. Joan shared a concered look with her partner who had rejoined them when the shouting had started. "Jaune, what's wrong? Who are you talking about?"
The expression on his face was enough to put a little fear into her as well. Jaune was almost always calm. He hardly ever got angry enough to start shouting like this let alone curse. He took a calming breath when he saw the look of fear on the children's faces. The whack-job out there in the dark was someone they didn't need too worry about at their age. Hell, no one should have to worry themselves over someone that should have been dead. He went back to Ren and pulled another vial from his medkit. This one was a small syringe with a mixture of anti-toxin along with some medical dust that would kill any kind of infection that had made its way into the boy. Once he had injected the solution into the wound, he pulled a role of gauze from the kit and placed it as well as he could on the wound. With that done, he placed everything back into the kit and began to head outside.
"Jaune? Jaune what's going on?"
He didn't respond to his sister as he reached the mouth of the cave. All four of his ears listening for even the slightest sound of a disturbance. His eyes searching for any type of movment. Not entirelly satisfied with what he found. He pulled a small device out of his front pocket that he snapped in two before he threw them two the ground in front of the cave. Without turning his attention from the outskirts of the clearing, he spoke up to address the Hunters-in-training.
"Get all your supplies rounded up, and get them ready for transport. Evac will be here in about three hours."
Once again Joan asked what was wrong and who was that man. He replied:
"Someone I thought I killed a long time ago."
Hello everybody and welcome to the first chapter of Devil Dog! I am super excited that I got this out, I know some of you have been wondering what I had in mind when I threw this up onto my profile page. Well this is it! Yes Jaune is a Faunus in this fic so this will be my own AU. And for some of you wondering; he is a wolf Faunus. As for his attire, I took the mask idea from one of Kapkan's headgear in Rainbow Six Siege. Now I in no way own anything related to Ubisoft or any of their games or anything. I was just throwing around some ideas back in forth until I got stuck and decided to play Siege for a little bit to clear my head.
That's when I got the idea for his mask. Now as for Jaune's hood, think of Assassins Creed black flag for that except it's black instead of white. His weapons are The Atlas GS .50 and just an ordinary Katana. Nothing special about the sword except it's solid black with grey wrapping on the hilt and pommel.
Now I'm am going to make this a rated M story because of the theme I'm going to put it through. It's going to be kind of dark. I'm also going to change the rating of Archangel to T because it will actually be more lighthearted than this will be. On the issue of updates with this story, did you see how long this is? This took me three months to write. And I actually want to make these chapters long like this compared to Archangels shorter ones. So expect a rather longer than average wait time for chapters. Life is punching me in the balls at the moment but I will continue to give it the bird and carry on.
Follow and fav if you like, comment if you want.
I look forward to the next chapter as it was fun to write a darker upbringing of Jaunes life. If you have any questions as to this chapter or anything else just pm me.
Rookie out.
