Dragon Ball Z: Alternate Love

Prologue

With the destruction of a distant planet, far from our own, a new journey was created for a very young boy that survived the carnage.

A young boy with a tail, named Goku.

Goku had lived in the woods for many years, wanting to explore the world his grandfather Gohan had told him of. One fateful day, he met a teenage girl named Bulma, and after a few mishaps, the two set out on a quest to find several objects known as; the Dragon Balls.

Seven small magical orange orbs with red stars in the middle. Each orb had a certain number of stars in them, from one to seven.

When all seven are gathered, the user is granted a single wish by the Eternal Dragon known as Shenron.

On their journey, they met many new friends and enemies on their search.

Goku developed powerful allies in his first teacher, Master Roshi, fellow students, the orin monk Krillin and former bandit Yamcha, who Bulma dated for a time, rivals, the triclops Tien Shen Han and the former Crane Emperor, Chaotzu, the famed Ox King and his daughter Chi Chi, (who Goku inadvertently proposed to), and strange allies such as the shapeshifters Oolong and Puar, the swordsman Yajirobi and the woman with a split personality known as Launch.

Many years passed as Goku went on countless adventures, and had countless battles.

Goku and his friends faced many enemies, including the pathetic Emperor Pilaf and his quest to rule the world, the mighty Red Ribbon Army and their diabolical plans, the merciless Crane School and their deadly teachings, and the dreaded King Piccolo in his quest for power.

Several of Goku's friends had perished at Piccolo's hands, and thus, Goku was determined to avenge them.

With the help of the cat sage, Korin, Goku defeated the evil king with his true inner strength!

With Piccolos dying breath, he hatched one final scheme, laying an egg with an exact copy of himself.

Goku, in exchange for the Dragon Balls to be restored when Piccolo destroyed them, promised he would train with the guardian of Earth, Kami, so his friends could be brought back from the dead.

Three years passed before Goku was reunited with his friends, now an adult, and with a growth spurt.

During the tournament, he faced several tough enemies, including Chi Chi, who after being rejected by Goku since he misunderstood the whole marriage thing, took comfort in Yamcha after he and Bulma had long since split up on good terms.

Goku faced many of his friends in the tournament, but prevailed each time.

His final opponent was Piccolo Junior, the culmination of Piccolo's scheme coming to fruition. The battle between the two was tough, brutal and merciless, and had been one of Goku's toughest fights, but Goku managed to prevail against his deadly opponent, becoming the world martial arts champion!

Soon after, Goku confessed to Bulma that he had feelings for her that had only grown stronger when they had reunited. Thus, the two began dating, which led to the two old friends getting married, now living their days in peace.

Finally, I've started another new story!

Every new chapter will be released on every Wednesday, if I can manage it. There will be a break in between each story arch. Like, in between the Saiyan saga and Freiza saga, I'll take a little while to relax before I continue.

So, expect the next chapter next Wednesday.

Note that this is one of those AU stories where Goku ends up with Bulma instead of Chi Chi. I plan to have Chi Chi with Yamcha, Vegeta with Tights, and a few other ideas I won't spoil right now, but I'll probably explain next time.
