Welcome to my sequel to Sky Pirates. This story is dedicated to my muse Jack, who took forever to finish the books and kept me from posting this story but also gave me time to make an outline for once.

I hope everyone enjoys.

Nico hated a lot of things about being a demigod, but the dreams were at the top of the list. He hated having a dream that warned him something terrible was going to happen. And, he despised having to see events from the point of view of someone else, especially since he wasn't able to do anything about what was happening. That was why Nico's day started off terrible.

Nico stared down at the ground. His hands were chained in front of him, and his gaze focused on the wood that he knelt on. His entire world was rocking, but it was rhythmic. Nico slowly looked up and looked around him. There was a row of people on their knees in front of him, and they all had their hands chained in front of them. A few of the were also on his sides.

All of those in chains wore leather vests and had a tattoo on their right arm. It was a skull with crossed bones underneath it. A few armored figures walked up and down the line, keeping an eye on their captives. As Nico looked up, he focused on the two figures at the end of the line.

One of them he didn't recognize. It was a well built man that wore only pants. His chest was covered in scars and fresh blood, but the blood didn't seem like it belonged to him. One of his hands rested on his sword, and the other played with his ginger beard. His hair was tucked underneath a bandanna, and blue, cruel eyes looked at the line of captives.

The second figure was shorter than the man, but she scared Nico a lot more. He instantly recognized her: Quartermaster Reyna Ramirez-Arellano. The two had worked together only a few months ago to deliver the Athena Parthenos, and Reyna had saved his life. Nico returned the favor, and they helped save the world.

Reyna's dark eyes studied the captives. Her hands casually rested in the pockets of her leather coat, but Nico knew how quickly she could grab the two cutlasses at her side or flip out her two coins that could turn into metal dogs. Reyna spoke, "You did well enough in the attack, but there was no need to kill so many of them."

"Apologizes, quartermaster," the man said. Reyna slowly walked up and down the line of captives. Her eyes studied each and every person, and there was no emotion on her face. "What should we do with them?"

"Take them to shore and let them go," Reyna answered. The man glared at her back, but as she turned to face him, his face returned to impassive. "Unless, they want to join us. I'll take their ship back to our warehouse at the slope. I'll need a few of your crew."

"You can use the best of my crew," the man promised. He smiled, but it seemed forced. "Quartermaster, does this mean I am done with my probation?"

"Not at all," Reyna answered. She looked back at him. "Captain Hylla has put you under my command, and until I know that you won't completely screw this up, you're stuck with me."

"I wouldn't have it any other way, quartermaster," the man said. Reyna remained silent and walked away from the line of people. The man turned towards his crew. "Get some help for the quartermaster! I want the best ship hands to help her back to the docks. It is our first trophy!"

A cheer rose up from the man's crew. A grin came to his face. Nico slowly looked up and watched Reyna board the other ship. She called out a few orders and started to raise the sails. Another man walked up to the one with the ginger beard.

This man was as scrawny as a stick. Nico couldn't see an ounce of muscle on the man. Just a flick looked like it would break his bones. The scrawny man spoke, "I hate that bitch."

"Keep kissing her ass," the man with the beard muttered. He grinned. "Once I am a full captain, we'll turn this entire crew upside down, Herald. When the ship is out of sight, kill everyone on this ship and dump the bodies overboard."

"Of course, captain," Herald said. He grinned and took a few steps backwards. Nico started to stand, but Herald turned towards him and appeared before him. "Don't move."

"She said we could go," Nico said. His voice was frail and weak. Herald got right into Nico's face. He smelled like death and decay. Herald opened his mouth to speak, and Nico stared. The man in front of him had no tongue. "What are you?"

"Death," Herald answered. A sword went through Nico's neck, and his eyes snapped open. He stared up at the sky, at the setting sun. This was not his cabin. Where was he now?

Nico slowly rolled to his hands and knees. He stared at the ground. That tongueless man was someone familiar. When Nico was trying to deliver the Athena Parthenos, they were attacked by pirates that called themselves the Mistveil. They could also be called tongueless monsters.

According to Reyna, the Mistveil used magic and the Mist that disguised the demigod world to manipulate their surroundings and do things like be invisible. During the attack, they changed what Nico could see, and he would have been dead meat if Reyna hadn't killed the messenger of the Mistveil.

Nico hadn't ran into the pirates again, and he never wanted to. He didn't know why he was dreaming about them, but he would have to warn Reyna. Nico didn't know if this was happening now or had already happened, but the quartermaster needed to know that someone from the Mistveil was probably working with one of their fleet's captain.

As Nico stared at the ground, he realized he was on a beach. Nico slowly stood and looked around. As he turned his head, he stared. Standing across from him was a scrawny, little son of Hephaestus who should be dead. Nico spoke, "Leo?"

If Leo could hear Nico, he didn't say a word. There was a grin on his face as he looked out at the water. Nico had stood in the Fields of Asphodel, and it did not have sand anywhere in it. Other than oil and dirt smudges on his face, Leo looked unharmed. How was he alive?

Nico had watched Leo blow up during the fight against Gaea. He had sacrificed himself to defeat Gaea and put her back in the ground. A girl walked up behind Leo. There was an annoyed look on her face, and she was braiding her caramel colored hair. Her dark eyes studied Leo and narrowed into a glare.

"Are you sure this is going to work?" the girl asked. Nico frowned and studied the two of them. Leo looked at her and grinned.

"Of course, Caly," Leo said, and he laughed. The girl glared and balled her hand up into a fist. She hit Leo. "You are going to be lifted from this curse, and we are going to leave. We just need some outside help."

"For the last time, my name is Calypso," the girl said. She went to hit Leo once again, but she stopped. Her eyes focused on Nico, and she pointed. "Is that your outside help?"

Leo whirled around and looked where Calypso was pointing. He frowned and spoke, "I don't see anyone. Jason? Piper? Percy? Hazel? Maybe, it's Frank. Oh, I bet it's Annabeth! She's smart enough to help us get off of this island."

"It's a boy. Pale and really weird looking," Calypso said. Nico gave Calypso a look. "He doesn't look too happy to see me."

"Pale and weird looking. Nico, is that you?" Leo asked. Nico nodded and watched the two in front of him. He knew that this was probably the Calypso from the myths, as he heard Percy's story about her. That still did not explain how Leo was alive.

"He's nodding," Calypso noted. She looked around and sighed. Her eyes focused on Nico. "We need your help. Leo promised me that he can get us off of this island, but he needs help."

"I hope you can hear me, Nico. Don't be too mad," Leo said. "When we were fighting Gaea, I did die, but I was brought back thanks to Festus and the Physician's Cure. I crash landed on this island, and Festus was not completely destroyed, thankfully. He just kind of had his wings destroyed.

"And, he doesn't have the tools to fix Festus," Calypso said. Leo waved his hand like it was no big deal. "We took off and almost crash landed in the water. Festus saved us and crashed in the sand instead, but it destroyed his navigation unit completely."

"We need some help," Leo said. He took a deep breath. "First, I need one of those sleep demigods to connect Annabeth to my dream. That way, I can tell her all of the technical items and tools that I need that you will not understand. Then, I need someone to bring those items to me."

"Which basically means that you'll be mounting a rescue," Calypso said. "It's impossible to find this island on your own. No man has ever found it twice, except Leo, but I don't really count him as a man."

"Hey!" Leo interrupted. Calypso laughed, and she kissed him. Nico stared at the two and blinked a few times. This was odd. "The point is that we need the tools to be able to fix Festus and get off of the island. If someone could bring it to us, that would be great."

"There is another item you will have to bring, to destroy the island," Calypso said. She looked down and took a deep breath. "Chiron should know about it."

"Wait," Nico said. He held up his hands. "Hold on. Let me get this straight. Leo crash landed on your island with Festus, and when you two went to leave, Festus couldn't fly properly because of his wings and crashed again. He needs to be repaired, but that can only happen if we bring you the tools and this random item to destroy the island. If no one has ever found the island, how are we suppose to?"

"A few gods visit my island, but they would never tell you," Calypso began. She clasped her hands and rubbed her knuckles nervously. "There was a mortal who found his way upon my island. His name was Francis Drake, but he did not wash up my shores. He found my island on his ship, thanks to a goddess who gave him the location."

"The island doesn't technically exist in once place, but it really does," Leo said. Nico gave Calypso a look.

"Tell him to stop talking," Nico said.

"I can do that," Calypso said. She grabbed Leo's arm. "Stop talking. Nico, it is true that the island does not exist in one place, but it does have entrances spread throughout the world. Only one entrance is open at a time, and only one goddess knows where the entrance is. The problem will be finding her."

"Chiron will know who she is," Leo added. Calypso nudged him. "You will never be successful in making me shut up. Nico, you have to do this. I like being on this island, because I'm with Calypso. She needs to escape though. It isn't fair that she spends her entire life trapped for one mistake."

"You have to be fast, Nico. When Leo arrived her, he opened a seal. Those who have long sought my island will know that my control is waning. They will try to find the island and use it for its original purpose," Calypso said.

"Original purpose?" Nico asked, but the world around him started to dim. The colors started to drain away. Nico had a lot more questions.

"Promise me you'll let Chiron know," Calypso said. There was a desperate look in her eyes, like she was seeing hope for the first time in a long time and was scared of it being snatched away.

"I will," Nico promised, and the dream ended. Nico's eyes snapped open, and he found himself laying in his cabin. He slowly sat up and looked around. Nico was safe and out of his dream. He slowly laid back on the bed and let out a deep breath. It was going to be a very long day.
