Since people seem to want to have Akari's stats back, there'll be an encounter and Akari will start focusing on them again.
My problem with the stats right now is how hard it is to properly measure her strength. I mean, she's physically strong enough to bodily shove a Ukrainian Ironbelly without much hassle. She's also got tons of health and whatnot, meaning those stats really don't matter too much. Her agility means she can run over 4 kilometers in a single second. (War Dog Chapter 33 she runs a kilometre-long clearing in under a second...at the time she had 161 Agility. She now has more than double that, then doubled again by her Speedster Perk which she got in Chapter 49), meaning she could run at least four kilometres in under a second at top speed. Suffice to say...normal people don't pose any threat to her when she gets really pissed off.
Also...reading other peoples stories makes me feel like such a bitch, because my head constantly goes 'That's a dumb way to write that' and 'I would have done this instead, would have worked way better.' and it really sucks because I can't just switch off and read Fanfiction any more, my head just has to analyze it. The same thing happened after I developed a few games, I started looking at games and asking myself 'Why the hell did they do it like that and not this?'
Whatever, just me ranting, ignore me.
Chapter 22
The sound of pinging metal was her first indication what something had gone wrong.
When one of her clones dispersed, giving her a flash of pain from when she was touched by something from behind, that cemented the idea that something was going on deeper inside of the vault. Akari leapt upwards, flipping in midair and standing on the ceiling away from the treasure, running into the vault and spotting quickly that the treasure within was duplicating. Calling upon her Dark Arts knowledge told her that it was the Gemino Curse, the Flagrante Curse being the likely culprit for the burning sensation her clone felt when touched, though the clone had died before she saw what had actually created the pinging noise.
Sighing, Akari formed a hand-seal, shunting a great number of the treasures within the vault to the side using a Fuuton Jutsu, her eye lit up with the Sharingan and Rinnegan as she scoured the room for the Horcrux. It would have been a nice fuck you to steal a bunch of stuff, but if there were curses at play here, she couldn't be bothered dealing with them. So instead, she merely walked around on the ceiling until she spotted it.
The darkness was far more subdued and faded than she'd seen from the other Horcruxes, which was curious, but she didn't care to think too much about things like that. No, instead, she withdrew a Kunai and a phial, uncorking it and pouring the liquid within onto her blade, immediately swiping it against the cup and throwing it away as darkness erupted from the rent metal.
Akari had gotten Nyoka to give her some of his venom, that way she didn't have to put the sweetheart in any danger, and it meant that destroying Horcruxes was super easy. Akari then threw her Kunai down as the venom began melting through the metal, pouring a little more venom to ensure the entire thing was melted down into unrecognizable slag before re-corking the phial and tucking it away in her inventory.
Casting a final glance around the swiftly-filling vault, Akari exited, using a quick Doton Jutsu to seal the entrance up before returning her focus to the dragon waiting outside, smiling despite the loss of stealable things at the sight of the dragon curiously watching her. Even after everything the poor thing had been through, it still seemed willing to trust her. Sure, it was probably mostly her Animal Tamer title doing that, but it still made her feel happy inside. "Well, tha-" Akari began to say, but a crack of spellfire grabbed her attention, the sparking red flash of a stunner flying towards her.
With a frown, she sidestepped the comparatively glacial spell, her eyes narrowing at the convoy of minecarts hurtling towards the vaults at top speed. "You'd think they would have learned not to pull shit like this." She muttered, taking out the stolen wand and whipping it, sending out a blasting curse or three towards the practically-overloaded minecarts, though they were deflected by Protego Charms. She then cast a gouging spell on the ground, finally focusing on the unearthed stone as she cast a transfiguration spell on the rubble.
As it rose in the shape of a colossal golem, Akari then cast a locomotion spell on the stone, grinning when she heard the rock crumbling against itself as the construct arose from its knelt down position. "Go get 'em." She said casually, watching as the stone colossus leapt and with a floor-shaking crash smashed straight into the first minecart. Maybe it was mean to kill innocent employees, but if her display in the lobby hadn't dissuaded them, then she really had no care for idiots.
She'd avoided killing, but it wasn't like it wasn't obvious Akari held more than enough strength to wipe out all Gringotts security staff if she felt like it. While the golem was busy happily smashing apart the tracks, the carts having already found a very gory end at the bottom of the colossal cavern, Akari reached out and brushed a hand against the dragon, getting its attention.
Holding up a seal tag, Akari demonstrated how it worked to the big beast. "If you want, I can take you away like this. You won't feel anything, but you'll be safe, trust me." Akari beamed when the dragon lowered its head and nudged her gently before shifting and laying its massive paw on her hand. Without further ado Akari sealed the dragon, her storage seal being more than enough to even contain Gyuki...
Akari shook her head of the solemn reminder of the now-deceased tailed beasts, turning herself invisible as she cancelled the locomotion charm on her golem, letting it crumble into its constituent parts then fall to the bottom of the cavern, crushing any potential survivors. She didn't intend to make it a habit of killing so casually people only doing their jobs, but it really was the height of stupidity to come after her. With no witnesses though, Akari just sighed and Hiraishin'd out of Gringotts, but not before casting a Fiendfyre with enough energy to last maybe a day then tossing her wand into the malevolent flames, neatly erasing the last possible evidence of her presence.
Yawning, she then peeled off the seal on her shoulder, her Nikutai-Teki Sakkaku Fuinjutsu (Corporeal Illusion Sealing Technique) disappearing to reveal her true form, her involvement entirely disguised. Maybe someone could put together the fact that the earth walls that 'Kara' made were very similar to what Akari used, but it was unlikely. Besides, thanks to her Shadow Clones, she had the perfect alibi, she was teaching at the time after all.
Obviously a few people knew about those clones, but they weren't the type to blab anyway.
"Fifteen Gringotts Guards and Goblins all deceased, a missing Ukrainian Ironbelly, then on top of that severe damage to the lower vaults caused by Fiendfyre."
Akari yawned, her feet firmly kicked up on the desk and uncaring of Mad-Eye's glare as she utterly ignored the goblin currently rattling off costs and effects of her incursion. She'd been dragged to this meeting at the Ministry by Dumbledore because he was concerned about the events unfolding, and he had an 'idea' that she'd be helpful in the investigation. It was unheard of for the goblins to seek outside help, but since several of their deepest and most ancient vaults had been entirely demolished by her little Fiendfyre sendoff, well, they couldn't not call in Ministry aid, not with pureblood families having their possessions destroyed even in the most secure vaults within Gringotts.
The Ministry in typical fashion took one look at the still-blazing Fiendfyre which was currently making a nest for itself in the caverns beneath Gringotts and called in the expert for emergency situations, i.e. Dumbledore. The old man had then decided that dragging Akari along was for the best, and thus she was sitting on for this meeting between several extremely well-known Aurors including Mad-Eye himself, a goblin liaison representing Gringotts, the DMLE Head Amelia, the current Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge, and the man of however many titles, Dumbledore.
And of course her. Needless to say, her presence wasn't questioned when both Mad-Eye and Amelia said they'd met her before and knew she would possibly be helpful in this situation, as Bones had experienced first-hand how dangerous Akari could be, and Mad-Eye had even fought her. Since Akari didn't really care what happened, she was mostly happy to simply sit in and listen as they debated what to do.
Eventually, the debating seemed to reach a conclusion, in that Dumbledore would go and subdue the cursed flame with support from the Aurors and the Gringotts curse-breakers. It just sucked that he also managed to get her dragged into it, pointing out that her tenure of teaching DADA in Hogwarts made her qualified for this mission. Mad-Eye seemed to take great amusement when he pointed out that since she managed to go toe-to-toe with him she would also be useful for if they managed to flush out the rat who caused the entire thing.
That was another thing, the bank had been heavily sealed off when she first went down to the vaults, meaning they believed the perpetrator was still stuck on premises, and they were supposedly going to go over the entire cavern with a fine-toothed comb until they found them, conveniently forgetting that somehow the perp had managed to hide not just themselves, but also a multi-ton dragon.
Akari didn't point out this discrepancy, it was hilarious to know that all they'd find was a charred and broken wand, and maybe a scale or two from her newest pet. She couldn't keep the sweetheart around, he would simply attract too much attention, which was why he was now happily enjoying life in the Elemental Nations. She'd only given him vague orders to stick to the island she'd placed him on, but hopefully he was enjoying himself, Akari hadn't had time to stick around after all.
What was quite possibly the most bizarre thing though was that she'd gotten a notification from the Entity, asking her to get some free time soon, as he had some things he had to go over with her in regards to her game. While it was nice to hear from him again, it did slightly worry her as well. But she put it out of her mind when she'd gotten 'asked' by Dumbledore to come along to this meeting.
One thing that was revealed to her that really amused her though was that the Fiendfyre she'd cast had devoured all of the magical artefacts inside of the vaults, giving it untold amounts of magical energy to use as fuel. This was why they truly had to call Dumbledore in, the amount of energy that was contained within those ancient vaults and now eaten by the Fiendfyre would be enough to obliterate London.
Not Diagon Alley, not Whitechapel, but London itself. The entire city would be wiped off the map, leaving them with two choices. Either they carefully controlled the Fiendfyre to be destroyed without a violent energy expulsion, or they simply left it alone and let it naturally run out of fuel...which would take something in the realm of a million years if undisturbed. Even if constantly expelling flames, it would still have an expected lifespan of over a hundred-thousand years, which for Gringotts was unacceptable.
They couldn't just leave a cursed flame-beast thing down there next to innumerable valuable vaults. They already had several ancient houses lodge complaints against them for the utter destruction of their vaults and most valued items. One upside to this whole thing, in Akari's eyes at least, was that because of this, the Wizarding World would hopefully find a way to remove the goblin chokehold on the economy.
It was when they began discussing ways to destroy the 'beast' that Akari interjected. "Why don't I try to control it?" This was met with several raised eyebrows and even an outright snort from one of the Aurors. "Well, controlling Fiendfyre is about mental strength as well as the strength of your magical core, so..." Akari withdrew her staff and thumped the ground, causing a lick of purple flame to appear from the top of her staff, quickly growing to about the size of Akari's head and forming the shape of a hissing and clearly enraged serpent. "As long as I can get my magic into contact with the Fiendfyre down there, I can hopefully control it and send it somewhere where it can't hurt anyone else."
She directed it to coil around her staff all the way down to the floor, then around her leg and back up, the flames carefully controlled to never actually make contact with anything, since controlling several instances of Fiendfyre would be rather difficult. The main problem most who cast Fiendfyre ran into was that it relied on magical energy for fuel. Akari could quite happily supply the Fiendfyre with energy infinitely, it would just take around half of her energy regeneration to do so. For any regular wizard or witch, maintaining a connection to Fiendfyre and fuelling it themselves would be impossible unless using either an exceptionally strong foci like an ancient wand, the best being the Elder Wand, relying on artificially fuelling it with the magical energy of artefacts, or as most witches and wizards did, using ambient magical energy.
The problem with fuelling Fiendfyre using the environment or any other external source of energy was that it became far harder to control when not fuelled by the energy of the caster, as it no longer was...the best way to put it would be that no longer was it the same nature as the caster, the energy making the beast was far too different from being gathered from a different source. The Gringotts Fiendfyre, though it had devoured innumerable ancient magical artefacts, would still be controllable by Akari, since she could overwhelm it with her own energy pool, or which she had nearly 3 million points, then use her regenerating energy to keep it tethered like a leash, not letting it run rampant.
After all, while it was fun, she didn't want to have it accidentally tunnel into the Potter or Black vaults and devour them as well.
"...I've changed my mind, welcome honorary member of the Marauders."
Akari raised an eyebrow, but still accepted the handshake Sirius offered, rolling her eyes when he frowned at her and released her hand then looked at his palm. He'd tried to zap her with something, but with her affinity to all natures, a small zap like that barely registered as more than a feather-light brush. "The Marauders? I kinda like the name, so whatever."
Sirius gaped at her. "You haven't-...of course you haven't, you never went to Hogwarts." He grumbled, slumping on her couch. The man could have moved to Grimmauld Place permanently, but in his own words the place was a 'dreary dredge of darkness and drudgery', making it clear his disdain for the place. Thus, he'd elected to just keep living in Akari's place when he wasn't at Hogwarts visiting his godson or off whoever knew where. That meant about half the time he could be found lazing about in her living room.
It also meant he spent a lot of time in the presence of Nyoka, Kiyo, Kyaria, and Akena, because Akari had been spending more time with her Jackal summon, who had expressed a lot of interest in Kiyo, and Kyaria, of course, was always around anyway. Nyoka was the most recent addition, slithering around and exploring every nook and cranny of the place as he could, constantly hissing questions at Akari.
Sirius had gotten curious at the fact that she could speak to the Basilisk and understand it, which then got her dragged into speaking with him in several different languages, finally cementing it for Akari at least. She was apparently a polyglot according to magic, someone who could understand and even speak various languages dependant on the strength of the Polyglot.
Akari figured that she wasn't actually a Polyglot, it was most certainly just a quirk of the game, but Sirius seemed pretty confident after he spoke to her in a few words of Gobbledegook, the reason he knew those words becoming clear when he cursed quite violently at her. Only a Marauder would learn words in another language just so they could swear at people. Since she'd also spoken to the Basilisk, which according to Sirius sounded very much like hissing even if to Akari she was speaking English, she just gave up and accepted that she was now labelled as a 'perfect polyglot.' in the magical world, basically someone who could do all languages, since if she could speak Parseltongue and Gobbledegook, chances were high she could speak all other languages as well.
"Err, are you forgetting that you yourself told me that they were you, James, Remus and Peter when telling me who knew about your Animagus form?" Akari took that moment to mentally high-five herself at remembering something that someone else had forgotten for once. Kurama, of course, chose that moment to remind her of the fact that she still needed to get some time to talk to the Entity. "Anyway, I need to go do some stuff, so...have fun!" Akari did leave a Shadow Clone behind in case he needed something before she disappeared, heading for her cave.
As she looked over the now mostly-empty room, most of her clones having dispersed, she considered saying fuck it to the whole idea of keeping herself as she was, setting a bunch of clones with receiver seals to endlessly farm experience for her by going out into the world and doing anything to get experience, then having them disperse. She got small dumps of experience each time her regular clones dispersed, which over the course of over half a year really added up, as well as her own experience gains for teaching, cooking, doing pretty much everything really. She was still holding herself away from looking at how much she'd earned, deciding that dealing with it all at once was easier than doing it in bits, but that was for the end of the school year anyway.
She went into the little alcove which contained the now-empty cells, entering one and sealing it up, though leaving a hole for air since that was kinda necessary. "Okay, well, here goes nothing. I'm ready Entity, you got something for me?" Akari's vision faded to white, the same white she'd seen the first time she met the Entity all those years ago.
Indeed I do. As I'm sure you are aware, in your current Universe no spells, items, quests or otherwise are correctly utilized within the Game. This has since been rectified via the creation of an automated engine which will scan the entirety of the Universe you are within nigh-instantly, catalogue each and every possibly encounterable item, being, spell, status, encounter, title or otherwise, then add them to your Game. As NoxCorp operate in over 700 million Universes, we already possess a catalogue of many of these items, the issue was that they were never automatically incorporated into your experience.
Now, as you are no doubt aware, this does not stop you from inserting items into your inventory. Your 'Elder Wand' for example is one such item we already catalogued, and as such your inventory correctly labelled it. This is due to the fact that your Rolling Table had it as one potential reward. You appear to have not noticed, but the wand you stole during your incursion at the Goblin Bank did not have a correctly-displayed item name or icon within your inventory. As you are proficient at retrieving items without looking, you did not take notice.
This issue has now, obviously, been rectified. Flavour text for all items have been added, quests shall now be given, as will all other necessary corrections be performed. In reparation for this oversight, NoxCorp shall not 'nerf' the collection of experience beyond what has already occurred, and on top of this encourages this abuse of experience-gathering, as NoxCorp fears that the player may encounter Entities beyond their strength.
Narrowing her eyes, Akari lowered her voice, carefully controlling it so she didn't growl at the Entity. "So, you're saying that NoxCorp can't keep me safe from things like 273 still, despite all the bullshit that prick put me through?" The Entity was quick to dissuade her from this notion.
Oh no, nothing of the sort. No, I was more referring to your next...dimensional hop. You see, NoxCorp understands that the player, with the boons granted to her, will likely one day get bored, and will wish for another adventure, and has added a reembark mode. This mode will select one of many Universes, chosen by popular choice, and deposit the player close-by to whatever canon exists. Sometimes this will be as your encounter with the Naruto and Harry Potter Universes where you appear several years or more before canon but in the right place.
"And other times I'll be at the right time or even appearing after canon events have already occurred. Sounds pretty alright to me, though I don't have any intentions of doing until I break all of those Horcrux things." She got the mental impression of a nod from the Entity for her words.
Understandable. Now...while I am supposed to be rather impartial to the player, I have come to enjoy our encounters, as distasteful as some were. So I shall leave you with this extra warning. In the coming Universes are beings which would rip your mind and body apart as tissue paper torn from a roll. Have a nice day, and I wish you well in the battles to come.
With that, Akari's vision cleared, the white receding to the cold stone walls surrounding her. That was certainly...not as tame an announcement as she expected the Entity to impart upon her. She was expecting him to tell her that her clones now weren't allowed to gain experience, or that she could only have so many clones active at once, maybe adding a recurring experience decrease for actions. But no, instead he encouraged her to embrace overpoweredness, confirmed that she could now willingly embark to now Universes which had been pre-selected for her based on 'popular opinion'.
Whose popular opinion it was initially tickled her curiosity, but she brushed it aside in favour of dispersing all of her currently existing clones within the cave. She shook her head of the headache she got from dispersing so many 'old' clones, looking at how much experience she earned from their actions, which was basically 6.4 million. Added to that the roughly 700,000 she and the other clones had earned throughout the year and she had just earned 7.1 million experience points, which put her up from level 328 all the way to level 349. Added to that the fifteen points she'd let sit idle for a while and she had 120 to throw around.
Before she did anything with those points Akari created 25 Shadow Clones, each with a receiver seal attached, all of whom immediately vanished to various corners of the world, all of them under a permanent Henge. They were all tasked with basically doing everything they could think of to earn as much experience as they could. This action cut Akari's de facto energy regeneration from 1500 per second, caused by the pre-existing clones she was feeding chakra, right down to 1000 per second, but that didn't really matter too much. After all, if 1000 energy per second, which was enough energy to be pretty much constantly pulling peoples souls out with the Human Path, wasn't enough, 500 or 1000 more regeneration likely wouldn't make a difference.
With that done, Akari turned her attention to her stats, her choice pulled in two directions. On one hand, she could grow herself exponentially by getting more Chakra regeneration...more 'Energy regeneration', and using that to fuel even more permanent clones. Those clones would disperse at some point, giving her more experience with which to get even more Chakra, thus perpetuating a cycle of infinite growth. On the other hand, she had enough points to reach 500 Agility, something which honestly excited her. Reaching 400 got her the Speedster Perk after all, so she really wanted to know what 500 would do.
Oh, and just to inform you, your Animagus form has been fixed to now incorporate your stats. After all, the body is supposed to reflect your traits, and having a body vastly slower is not a reflection of your true strength. You will need to create more...Kage no Ashi seals, ones designed for use by your Animagus form, as you will now be missing your forelimbs, but we felt you would appreciate this change none-the-less.
Akari smirked, she wasn't the only one who was sometimes forgetful, if even the Entity was guilty of it.
It took a little more deliberation before Akari dumped a hundred of her points into Agility.
Speed Mastery - For reaching 500 points of Agility, Speed Mastery has been unlocked, granting a 3x multiplier to player speed, as well as an instinctual and nigh-perfect control of speed, thus negating the necessity of using Sharingan to control said speed.
Well, she could safely say that was ludicrously powerful. For someone who at top speed could run 4 kilometres in under a second, getting a 3x multiplier to that was ludicrous. With that kind of speed she could run around the world in just a little over a quarter of an hour. As in, start running west, and appear at her starting point after less than twenty minutes had passed. And the instinctual control over her speed?
Akari teleported to an isolated Hiraishin marker somewhere in Africa, releasing the mental control she always had on her speed, then released a sigh and began to run, a Tempus Charm keeping track of what the actual time was in reality. What was strange was how her speed was handled. At maximum, it was kind of like watching the world through her Sharingan, everything moved so very slowly. That was why most of the time she held back all but the barely fraction of her actual speed, otherwise the world moved at a snail's pace. At this sort of speed, she suspected that even the fastest bullets like a .220 Swift would be moving slow enough to catch out of midair, since that was the fastest in the world at 1422 meters per second, and she travelled over 6 times as fast as that in a second.
Leaving the other twenty points, Akari experimented a bit more with her new ludicrous speed, mentally turning up and down how fast she moved whilst using the Tempus Charm to keep track of real time, telling her how fast certain amounts of speed let her move. She already knew, since her new instinctive control told her how fast the top speed for so much control being released was, but it was more fun this way.
Though one useful thing it did tell her was her top speed was actually 15 kilometres per second, owing to the increased Agility. That effectively meant that every point of Agility now constituted an increase in speed of 30 meters per second. But...that didn't make much sense. After all, when she was younger she certainly couldn't move nearly that quickly. Even removing the multipliers of speed, she should have been able to move at far higher speeds than she was actually capable of.
This led Akari to believe that her Agility might actually be an exponential growth, the lower levels giving her smaller amounts of speed. or perhaps it was tied to her level, meaning a level 1 getting only, as an example, 0.5 metres per second per point, whereas she got far more, and it would potentially continue to grow. Whatever the case was, it certainly excited Akari, since it meant that she could start getting even faster than before.
Maybe it was dangerous going so far into one stat, but what's life without a little risk?
"Fucking hell that thing is awesome."
Akari muttered, her words ignored by the other occupants of the cart as they flew along towards the now-ruined lower levels of Gringotts. It had taken a day or two for things to be organized, during which the Fiendfyre had eaten several other vaults and gained even more power. Right now the blazing tail of the serpent could be seen disappearing into a wall, making it easy to see where the thing was. It was decided that Akari would attempt to gain control over the Fiendfyre and make it disperse slowly as to not cause an explosion.
If she was incapable of this, then Dumbledore and the Aurors would be there to subdue it through force, blasting away at it to drain its magic. Not the best plan in the world, but then again, they were likely believing that Dumbledore was still powerful enough to beat the Fiendfyre, and maybe he was, Akari just doubted he could do it without the Elder Wand, which was still sitting pretty in her inventory.
Being honest, Akari didn't know if she actually could subdue the Fiendfyre, since it had consumed so many different sources of energy at this point that it was basically unrecognizable compared to her own energy. It didn't help that it had been mostly devouring Dark artefacts, which were far more potent and corrupting than regular magical artefacts and tools.
If push came to shove she could probably just obliterate it with a ludicrously overpowered Confringo, but she wanted to see how the Ministry and Gringotts handled things. As they approached the lowest vaults and dismounted, they could see light coming from one of the holes within the cavern walls, a few seconds later the serpentine head of the Fiendfyre poking out and hissing at them.
By now, everybody had wands out, standing ready and spaced out as the Fiendfyre slithered out of its hole. Akari took her staff from her inventory, leaning on the arm holding it as she waited for the Fiendfyre, never breaking eye contact as it got closer. She could practically feel the malice, the hatred and desire to burn everything dripping from the Fiendfyre, but at the same time Akari didn't really care. After all, Fiendfyre was made like that, much like how she saw the Dementors.
Unfortunately though, the Fiendfyre seemed to decide that it didn't like this upstart human trying to control it again, so it lashed out with a belched stream of flames. She could have dodged it, but Akari wanted to test some of the more powerful spells she'd learned, and so when the flames got closer, all it took was a nudge of her staff to erect a Protego Horribilis in front of herself, shaped in a concave fashion to entrap the flames and stop them splaying outwards towards anyone else.
Akari felt it the moment the flames touched her barrier that it wouldn't hold up, the flames were sat atop her barrier literally eating the magic fuelling the shield. She glanced behind herself and used a weak Fuuton Jutsu to push everyone aside before hopping to the side and letting the flames fly past. "Well, that plan fell through, let's kill it." That was all Akari needed to say for spellfire to erupt from the Aurors.
It was probably because Akari seemed so calm and casual about the flames she was blocking that nobody had tried to cast a spell yet, but with her admittance that the plan was screwed, it was open season. While Fiendfyre fed on magic, sufficiently dangerous and hostile magic like Blasting Curses or Perforation Curses could not be absorbed and would instead directly cause absorbed magic to be expended for the Fiendfyre to maintain its form. Beyond a certain point, the flame would be unable to sustain itself and would thus be forced to dissipate, much like a Shadow Clone running out of Chakra.
The problem was that this Fiendfyre had absorbed an obscene amount of magical artefacts.
Getting a suggestion from Kurama, Akari tucked her staff away and withdrew the wand she got from Ollivander, remembering with a sigh that it was supposed to be temporary, before swiping it up then straight down along the body of the Fiendfyre just as it was rearing back for another spray of cursed flames, sending a ridiculously overpowered Severing Charm at the snake, which straightly bisected it into two pieces.
Of course, it then reformed itself, but with that action, Akari had just cut half of its energy away, since it was evenly dispersed across the body, and half of it had just been detached..."Oh shit, take cover!" Akari yelled over the cracks of spellfire, erecting a Protego Totalum across the area which was matched by various Protego Charms. A few moments later there was a deafening explosion as the magic contained within the now 'dead' half of the Fiendfyre detonated, sending a blast of hyper-pressurized air to crash against the hastily-erected shieldwall of Protego Charms.
A moment after that the cursed flames washed over their position, slipping through the cracks of the shields and latching onto several of the Aurors, the cursed flames burning them. Akari watched as Mad-Eye quickly used Cutting Curses to literally sever away the cursed flames from the Aurors, uncaring of if he cut off a finger, a hand or an arm. Ruthless, but Akari felt her approval of the man raise even more.
He saw the danger to those Auror's lives and acted without hesitation to save them, even if they would hate him for it later. As soon as Fiendfyre touched skin, the only way to remove it was to remove everything the Fiendfyre was touching. Several of the Aurors had been touched on their torsos, to which Mad-Eye cast very carefully aimed Severing Charms to effectively debride the burning areas, levitating away the flesh before the flame could re-establish contact with the Auror.
An earth-shaking roar caught her attention, turning just in time to see the Fiendfyre smash its face against the Protego wall, punching a hole straight through it and sending several Aurors and curse-breakers flying. "Internitionem!" Akari heard yelled, spotting Dumbledore sweep his wand at the Serpent, a black-coloured spell spitting from his wand and smashing against the Fiendfyre, enraging it and drawing its ire.
Akari saw him sigh and take a faltering step forwards before falling to a knee, the spell even she didn't know evidently taking a ton of energy to cast. As the Fiendfyre reared back to spit more fire, probably at Dumbledore, she saw it hiss, shaking its head around before it snapped its livid gaze upon Dumbledore. Watching carefully, Akari saw the exact moment that Dumbledore acted, just as the Fiendfyre opened its mouth to finish him off.
With speed belying his age he stood up, his eyes visibly gleaming despite his exhaustion as he snapped up his wand. However, Akari wasn't quite willing to let him commit a noble sacrifice or something. Instead, she zipped over at high speed, moved him to where she was stood an instant before, then cast a Confringo at the Fiendfyre. Now, the beast, while taking damage from them, had all but shrugged off the earlier Confringo Curses. This one was different, in that Akari was no longer playing around.
A hundred-thousand points of energy were poured into the Curse, the light nigh-blinding as she released the blazing orb of energy. In an alarmed hiss the Fiendfyre tried to turn and run, but a far faster Petrificus Totalus, way swifter than the Confringo Curse flew, locked it in place, utterly immobile as the Curse slammed into its head, obliterating its entire body in a massive and obscenely devastating explosion.
Throwing up a hasty Protego Totalus, Akari angled it to deflect the air blast upwards, the flames from the explosion pouring over her shield like water on a beach, though she carefully kept it angled so the flames only travelled away from herself and the group. As the fire died down and the smoke cleared, it was revealed that not only had the Fiendfyre been obliterated, the wall behind the Fiendfyre now had a considerably large crater gouged out. As she turned and saw the reactions of those present, Akari rubbed her neck.
Then promptly disappeared using the Hiraishin.
I said I wouldn't introduce another pet.
Honestly did toy with the idea of Akari taming the Fiendfyre, but decided it didn't make much sense honestly. Entity has rectified a few issues, changed some stuff and opened up her route to the next Universe, though Akari will be destroying all the Horcruxes before she even considers going to the next Universe.
But, with that, the poll has now been opened on my profile! So please, if you want a say in where Akari goes, go and vote! Her stats are also back, of course, and you can peruse them below.
Finally, I would honestly appreciate any monetary support through my Pat reon, though honestly I sound like a broken record. It would mean I have more time to write this stuff for you all. Even a single pound a month would be awesome.
Hope you enjoyed!
