Hello friends. This is not a continuation of another story of mine, but a new version. I think it will be a very long story. I read someone saying that they don't know why people are still talking about the H50 when the series is over. Well, I like to do that and I still don't have another favorite couple that I like to write about. I hope you enjoy this new story. Remembering that I don't have the characters, it's just a fan to fan story.

Freddie was at his post on the ship and was looking through his binoculars when he saw a girl resting her arms on the edge of the ship. "Damn it. She shouldn't be there."

He looked again and saw that she didn't look well. "Steve! Wake up!"

Steve was dozing beside Freddie when he should also be on the lookout.

"What is it, Freddie?" He asked, startled.

"Go on the deck. There's a girl there and she shouldn't be there for your own safety. And she doesn't look well."

"Why don't you go over there?" Steve asked.

"Well, she is very beautiful. If you don't want to go, I can go," Freddie replied.

"What would Kelly say if she heard that, huh?" Steve said as he got up. He went down the stairs and went to the deck, approaching the girl.

"Hello. I'm sorry to say that people are not allowed be on the deck at this time," he said gently.

"I know, but I am allowed to be here," she said and handed him a written authorization.

Steve didn't take the paper from her hand. "Okay. If you say so, I believe it."

"I won't be up here long. I just needed to breathe outdoors. I kind of had a panic attack," she replied.

"Is this your first mission?" Steve asked.

"Yes," she replied and smiled sheepishly.

"Well, I'm sure you will do well. Be careful, don't get too close to the edge. I need to get back to my post," Steve said and pointed to where Freddie was.

"Thanks." She smiled again and Steve thought she had a beautiful smile and enveloping and seductive eyes.

Steve returned to his post and sat next to Freddie. "Get some rest now, Freddie. I'll be on my guard."

"Great," Freddie replied and gave Steve his place. After a few minutes, he realized that Steve was looking around the ship, but his gaze always fell on the girl on deck.

"What is her name?" Freddie asked.

"Who?" Steve asked.

"The girl. Don't pretend you don't understand."

"I didn't ask her name," Steve replied.

Freddie laughed. "Idiot."

"She has a permit that allows her to be on deck. It's her first assignment and she's a little nervous," Steve told Freddie and when he turned to look, she was already gone.

"What is she doing there?" Freddie asked.

"She's gone," Steve replied.

"Did I hear a little disappointment in your voice, McGarrett?" Freddie asked.

"Stop it, Freddie."

"You need a girl, McGarrett."

Steve threw the binoculars at Freddie.

"Calm down, I'm just kidding. We still have two hours to stay here and if you are so serious it's worse."

"Shut up or I'll tell our superior that you were sleeping on the job," Steve said.

"But you were asleep!" Freddie replied.

Freddie was silent for a while, but then continued. "Well, we are on a ship and the trip will be quite long. So, inevitably, you will see her again. And as we are going on a humanitarian mission, I hope the environment is not as tense as on a war mission, that makes things easier."

Steve rolled his eyes in annoyance. "What things, Freddie?"

"Never mind," Freddie replied and closed his eyes.

At dinner, Steve looked around the refectory and didn't see her there. The girls usually sat together, but she was not there. He would recognize those sweet, expressive eyes anywhere. "What are you thinking, Steve? Are you listening to Freddie's idiocies? All you don't need is to get involved with a co-worker," he told himself.

The next day, in the morning, Steve and Freddie were wearing their uniforms to attend a meeting in the auditorium. "Meeting before breakfast. Nobody deserves it!" Freddie said.

"Freddie only thinks about eating," Jeffrey, their roommate, said.

"No, Jeffrey. He thinks about Kelly, too," Steve said.

"Shut up and let's go to this damn meeting," Freddie replied.

The Commander was speaking and Steve was yawning. "Do you really need to say everything we already know?" Steve grunted.

After speaking for almost an hour, the commander announced the planning of the humanitarian mission for women, where female officers would act with the help of male officers. "But to better explain how we're going to act, I'm going to call our intelligence sector. Officer Rollins, please come up here."

She got up from the front row and went up to the stage where the commander was. The commander pointed to the place where the microphone was and she took a deep breath before starting to speak. She introduced herself and started her speech.

"Catherine. Pretty name, pretty girl. So young and already in Naval Intelligence. Do I have a chance with her?" Jeffrey asked Freddie.

Freddie tilted his head in Steve's direction, signaling Jeffrey that Steve was also interested.

"Ah, what the hell!" Jeffrey replied and Freddie laughed.

Steve was stuck with Catherine's speech and didn't hear the things that Jeffrey and Freddie were saying. Catherine also saw him from above and smiled when their eyes met.

At the end of the meeting, everyone hurried out of the auditorium towards the refectory. Steve waited for everyone to leave until only he and she remained in the auditorium.

"Hey, Catherine," he said as he approached.

"Hey, ..." she looked at him expecting him to say his name.

"Steven, but you can call me Steve."

"Hey, Steve," she said.

"You made a nice speech. I think you tricked me yesterday just to stay on deck. You weren't having a panic attack, or you wouldn't have gone so well with that speech."

Catherine smiled. "I really tricked you. Not about the panic attack, but about the authorization to be there. It was just a blank piece of paper."

Steve smiled too. "Are you serious?"

"Yes. I'm sorry."

"Okay. Are you going to have breakfast?" he asked.

"Yes, I'm hungry after not having dinner yesterday," she replied.

"Can I accompany you?" he asked and pointed to the exit door.

"It will be a pleasure, sailor."
