A young female trainer by the name of Cleo smiled happily as she finished setting up her camp deep in the Glimwood Tangle. She had come to the Galar region for a vacation, so she could see the sights. When she arrived, she was surprised that some Pokémon (like some on her own team) weren't native to the Galar region.

She then turned to her Pokémon team.

"So what do you think?" she asked. Her Lucario merely gave off a shrug, causing her to pout. She turned to the rest of her Pokémon. "What about the rest of you?"

"Arcanine!"

"Simisear!"

"Talonflame!"

"Spinarak!"

"Stunky!"

Cleo let out some giggles before turning back to her Lucario with a frown. "Why can't you be more like them?"

"Rah…"

The girl let out a groan before turning back to her other Pokémon. "Okay then! Now that we have the camp set up, let's have some fun!"

Her Pokémon cheered while Lucario grimaced. Why did he have to be the mature one on this team?

"Let's see, what could we play…I know! We can play hide and seek!" squeaked out Cleo with a grin. "I'll count to ten and the rest of you hide, okay?"

Another cheer came from five of her Pokémon as she covered her eyes and started to count.

"One…two…three…four…five…six…seven…eight…nine…ten! Ready or not, here I come!" exclaimed the girl as she uncovered her eyes. She noticed that her Pokémon were gone…except for Lucario, who had sat down and started to meditate. She pouted once more. "Fine! Be that way! The rest of us can have fun without you!"

She headed off into the woods, leaving behind a frustrated Lucario.

"Hm, if I were a Pokémon, where would I hide," said Cleo to herself. She looked up into the trees and grinned when she noticed a certain little Bug-type hiding in the branches. "Found you, Spinarak!"

"Spinarak! Spina Spin!"

The spider-like Pokémon jumped down from where he was hiding and landed on Cleo's head, causing her to giggle. "Now let's find the others!"

She didn't have to go far to find her next friend. Arcanine was out in the open, but was lying down while using his paws to cover his eyes. Cleo rolled her own eyes, but was still amused. Apparently Arcanine thought as long as he can't see you, you can't see him.

"Found you, Arcanine!"

The dog-like Pokémon quickly stood and panted in happiness at seeing his trainer. He might have been fully evolved, but there were times he would act like a puppy.

"Arc!"

The large Fire-type followed his trainer as they kept an eye open for the others. Up in the trees, a certain monkey-like Pokémon, who was snickering at them, was watching them.

"Simi, Simi, Simi," laughed Simisear as he jumped from tree to tree to follow them. He figured he'd win as long as he stayed behind the seeker. Unfortunately for him, his fellow Fire-type didn't like cheaters.

"Talon!" cried out the falcon-like Pokémon, causing Simisear to jump at the wrong moment and fall to the forest floor.

"S-Simisear…"

"Simisear! Are you okay?!" questioned Cleo as she rushed over. She looked over at Talonflame, who landed next to them. "Talonflame! Why would you do that to Simisear?!"

"Talon, Talon!" squawked Talonflame, pointing his wing at Cleo and then to where she was. He then pointed at Simisear and then to the trees where was.

Cleo blinked in confused before it clicked. "Wait, are you telling me Simisear was following us?"

"Talon," replied the Flying-type with a nod.

The girl turned and gave a look to Simisear, who looked away in shame. "You tried to cheat, Simisear? No sweets for you tonight!"

The Fire-type's jaw dropped. How could she take away his sweets?! He could only sulk as his precious sweets were taken away.

"Okay now. We just need to find Stunky and the game will be over! Let's go, you guys!"

With said Poison-type, he was sniffing around, getting used to his new surroundings. Being the curious little skunk that he was, he explored with gusto. Unfortunately, this led to trouble.

Not watching where he was going, Stunky bumped into something.

"Stunky?"

Looking up to see what he bumped into, Stunky tilted his head when he found it to be an unfamiliar Pokémon…and it did not look happy.

"Shiinotic…"

The mushroom-like Pokémon shook, releasing a yellow powder from its body. Stunky, luckily, was able to get away and out of reach before he was paralyzed.

"Stunky…" growled the Poison-type with a hiss.

"Stunky!" called out a voice.

The little Pokémon turned to see his trainer and the rest of his friends coming his way, but this gave the Shiinotic the opportunity to attack once more.

"Shiinotic!" cried the Grass-type as it released an even bigger plume of Stun Spore.

"Oh no!" cried out Cleo as her Pokémon were affected by the spores. She watched as they collapsed, unable to move.

"Shii…"

Cleo gulped in fear as the mushroom came closer. There was nothing she could do, until…

"Rah!"

A blue and black blur came between Cleo and Shiinotic and slashed at the Grass-type with its claws. Cleo's eyes widened in relief when she saw whom it was.

"Lucario!"

The jackal-like Pokémon let out a growl as he glared at Shiinotic. He saw that his opponent was about to attack once more, but he would not let it.

"Rah!" yelled out the Steel-type as he charged and fired a blue orb of energy at Shiinotic.

The Aura Sphere collided with Shiinotic and slammed it into a nearby tree. The force of the attack, combined with the collision, was enough to knock out the wild Pokémon.

"Thank you, Lucario!" chirped Cleo as she brought her Pokémon into a hug.

Lucario let out a sigh before he raised a paw and patted his trainer on the back. "Rah, rah."

"Come on, let's heal the others and then head back to camp," stated Cleo, to which Lucario nodded in agreement.

"Ah, what a day!" exclaimed Cleo as she stretched. "Who would have thought a simple game of hide and seek would lead to an encounter like that?"

Lucario rolled his eyes while the rest of his team each made a noise of agreement with their trainer.

"Next time we'll have to be more careful, so we don't have a repeat of today. Although, now that I think about it, maybe I should have caught that Pokémon instead of just leaving it there. Do you think it's still there?"

Lucario glared at Cleo, making her let out a nervous laugh.

"Kidding! I'm only kidding! Anyway, let's eat and then head off to bed!"

The Pokémon cheered before digging into their food.

Cleo let out a giggle, happy that despite the encounter with Shiinotic her Pokémon were fine and had fun.

And that's that. Angelblue13257, I know you wanted me to use Spewpa, but they're unfortunately not native to Galar, so I went with the closest Pokémon found in the Glimwood Tangle that could give off the same results.
