Disclaimer: I do not possess any rights to the High School DxD franchise. All rights belong to Ichiei Ishibumi. Unlike every other author on this website who puts up such disclaimers, I will only put disclaimers in the first chapter of all of my fanfics.

Note: This is an index for my readers to familiarize themselves with the liberties I've taken with DxD's lore. I noticed a lot of discrepancies in it, with messed up power levels, and erroneous naming of mythological figures. As the entire premise is based on mythology, that is something I cannot ignore. I have tweaked the names of certain characters, added and removed certain characters, and reclassified them. You may say this is not canon, and I will agree with you. This is fanfiction, and I think canon has a lot of plot holes. Deal with it.

I will post this index first, get a feel of what my readers think of my AU version of canon. I have drawn inspiration from many sources, including the DxDFanonwiki, Supernatural and Lucifer, Shadowhunters, Constantine, and many other sources with references I found on Wikipedia, and various other sources.

I'll have Lucifer as the main character, where he'll return after being sealed away at the end of The Great War. My plan for introducing him in the main plot setting is borrowed from the Lucifer TV series.

I won't have him as a crying, sad, lonely, emo version as he was in Lucifer but the version which was rightfully called The Wicked One, Father of Lies, The Great Deceiver, The Morning Star, Lord of Illusion, Prince of Darkness, The Serpent, King of Hell, and The Devil.

This story will be a harem, although I won't have lemons or fluff in every chapter. Rias, Akeno, Kuisha, Serafall, Coriana, Roygun, Raynare, Kalawarner, Tiamat, Lilith. I'm not a fan of harems, it's a noob move, but as I'm setting the MC as the future King of Hell, he'll need a harem.

Issei will not be bashed in this story. That's a shit move if I've ever seen one in DxD. He'll be a like a lackey of sorts of the MC, well, not exactly, but he'll look up to him. Asia, Koneko, Ravel, Rossweisse, Xenovia, and Irina will be in his harem. Lucifer will see him as the ultimate expression of human ambition, or the ultimate success of the evil piece system. For a true Devil, pursuing dreams and ambitions, taking what you want is the ultimate freedom, the defining characteristic.

Vali will be paired with Kuroka and Lavinia, while Sairaorg will be paired with Seekvaira and Lilitifia. Riser has his own harem.

Lastly, no Japanese honorifics, meaning no chan, kun, san, sempai, sama, dono. I mean no offense, but if you're writing a story in English, use English titles. I saw someone write Lord Lucifer-sama. What the hell is that supposed to mean?

This list is by no means exhaustive. It does not mean that there is vast difference in power between, say, 40 and 50. I will explain my reasoning. I have only included dragons and three faction characters because it is my personal point of view that members of these factions are the strongest in this series. They all, along with Hinduism, represent the largest religions, so they are the most powerful. If the number of people who believe is directly proportionate to the strength of Gods, then Hindu Gods are the strongest out of all non-Abrahamic Gods. In my story, as you can see, I am ranking the God of the Bible as the strongest existence, solely due to my religion being one of the three Abrahamic religions. I will not specify which, to prevent criticism from trolls and flamers. Only the God of the Bible does not need the faith of humans to empower himself, unlike other factional 'Gods'. I mean no offense, of course, but this is how it is. Also, 1 is not dead by any means in this story, as I don't believe that is even possible. The characters are led to believe he is. It serves some purposes.

30-50 are Ultimate/Satan/Cadre/Seraph-Class. All your Ultimate-Class beings, Satan-Class Devils, Cadre-Class Fallen Angels, and Seraph-Class Angels fall under this category. 3 of the 7 Princes of Hell fall under this category who are roughly on the same level, if not a bit above these. You can call 30-40 the Ultimate-Class of the Ultimate Class. Some of the Dragon Kings are on or around this level. 40-50 are the normal Ultimate-Class beings. So beings like Sun Wukong, Typhon, Yasaka, Fenrir, pantheon Gods, Demi Gods, can match their strength. Only the strongest of them can match 30-40, like Hades, Ra, Thor, and Susanoo. None can match 20-30. There is a reason why the Three Factions are so prominent even in canon, and that is why on other than the two Heavenly Dragons interfered in the Great War. It is also why no one took on the Devils in their Civil War. They would have been annihilated by them.

20-30 is the first level of beings who rank above Ultimate/Satan/Cadre/Seraph-Class. This is the Archangel-Class, Prince of Hell-Class, Evil Dragon-Class, Dragon King Class. The strongest of this Class, Gabriel and Tiamat, have power comparable to that of some God-Class beings.

10-20 is the second level of beings who rank above Ultimate/Satan/Cadre/Seraph-Class. This is the Super Devil, Heavenly Dragon, stronger Archangel, and God-Class. This level is generally occupied by most faction leaders or independent characters who are strong enough to be considered factions on their own. They are strong enough to annihilate armies or minor factions on their own.

5-10 is the third level of beings who rank above Ultimate/Satan/Cadre/Seraph-Class. This is the Class which is occupied by the strongest Archangel, the strongest Devil, the strongest Fallen Angel, and the strongest of the non-Abrahamic religious factions. They are strong enough to annihilate armies upon armies and major factions on their own.

1-4 is the fourth and final class of beings who rank above Ultimate/Satan/Cadre/Seraph-Class. This is the Class which has no comparison. 2-4 are strong enough to destroy the universe on their own, or to destroy all other factions on their own.

1 has no comparison. Everything bows before 1. 1 is the creator of them all, and far above the comprehension of any of them. He will make no appearance in this story, but 1 is present everywhere, at all times. All of existence and beyond could end if 1 desires, along with 2-50.

This list does not include the names of the strongest beings of other factions such as Humans, Monsters, Greek, Egyptian, Roman, Norse, Shinto, Celtic, Persian, or other Dragons, because the list would be too long in that case. I have given a gross estimate of the 50 strongest but these are not definitive. 20-50 can be matched or surpassed by them. 16-19 can be matched by them.

1-20 are the ones who have maintained their rankings for thousands of years, even eons.

I have not included any Prophets from any of the Abrahamic religions, nor will I. I would also like to ask you all if I should include the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. As far as I know, they are not necessarily beings, but rather the wrath of God or something like that, and there are many interpretations. I'm leaning towards not including them, but do let me know in the review section.

Seven Princes of Hell.

1: Lucifer.
2: Beelzebub.
3: Leviathan.
4: Asmodeus.
5: Abbadon.
6: Belphegor.
7: Mammon.

I have replaced the four Satan system with the Seven Princes of Hell. As the four Satans were killed in the Great War, the remaining three retreated to govern their clans and let the other four's children rule over Hell. They did not side with either side in the civil war, and still remain neutral, waiting for a worthy Lucifer to lead them again.

Seven Archangels.

1: Michael.
2: Gabriel.
3: Raphael.
4: Uriel.
5: Metatron.
6: Sandalphon.
7: Raguel.

Seven Fallen Archangels.

1: Samael.
2: Azazel.
3: Shemhazai.
4: Baraqiel
5: Kokabiel.
6: Sahariel.
7: Tamiel.

Twenty One Archangels in total before The Great War. Some lived, some died, and some were sealed away.

All of these are in real life thought of as Archangels or former Archangels. In Christianity and Judaism, the Devil is a Fallen Archangel. I am also taking some liberties here, maybe very big liberties, but, that is my decision. I will keep this as balanced as I can, and I will mostly follow canon, but these plot holes must be filled.

Abbadon, Mammon, and Belphegor founded Extra Demon Houses, and ranked above the Six Houses of Lucifer, and the 72 Pillars, surpassed only by the four Satan Clans. After the civil war, they lost influence to the Anti Satan Faction, but accepted their rule. They reject the Old Satan Faction led by Katerea Leviathan, Creuserey Asmodeus, Shalba Beelzebub for their ineptness and weakness and stupidity, and despise Rizevim Livan Lucifer for abandoning the Old Satan Faction, causing it to lose to the Anti Satan Faction. Had he not done so, the Old Satan Faction could have won a decisive victory, rather than giving a pyrrhic victory to the Anti Satan Faction, and causing catastrophic damage to the Devil Faction as a whole. They rue the loss of the original Satans and yearn for a day where the old system can be brought back, with a worthy successor of the original Satans leading the Devil faction. Mephisto Pheles also falls in this category, being one of the Angels who fell from heaven and one of the original devils.

Now. The 72 Pillars. This concept came from the Ars Goetia. Now, the ranks given to them are all mismatched in canon with this authentic source of literature. I will rank the remaining pillars according to Ars Geotia. The hierarchy of pillars is Great King Duke Prince Marquis Count Knight President. Bael rules over them all, with the remaining Great Kings equal, and superior to all other ranks, and all Dukes equal to all in their rank bracket, and superior to the lower brackets, and so on with the remaining ranks.

Great King.

1: Bael.
2: Paimon.
3: Beleth.
4: Purson.
5: Asmoday.
6: Balam.
7: Belial.

Duke.

8: Agares.
9: Barbatos.
10: Zepar.
11: Sallos.
12: Berith.
13: Astaroth.
14: Vepar.
15: Uvall.
16: Gremory.
17: Vapula.
18: Dantalion.
19: Crocell.
20: Buné.

Prince.

21: Vassago.
22: Sitri.
23: Stolas.

Marquis.

24: Gamigin.
25: Amon.
26: Naberius.
27: Forneus.
28: Phenex.
29: Shax.
30: Oriax.
31: Andrealphus.
32: Sabnock.

Count.

33: Furfur.

Knight.

34: Furcas.

President.

35: Glasya-Labolas.
36: Valac.

I have expanded upon the 32 Pillars by correcting errors. Andrealphus was falsely said to be extinct, and I also resurrected the Pillars of Sairaorg's peerage, and a maid of House Gremory has the surname Vepar, which is of one of the 72 Pillars. No way in hell (pun totally intended) is a member of the 72 pillars going to be a maid for another pillar.

So there are 36 pillars in this story. Apt, considering it's exactly half of the original 72 pillars.

So this is the current Devil hierarchy.

Three Princes of Hell.

1: Abbadon.
2: Belphegor.
3: Mammon.

Six Houses of Lucifer.

1: Lucifuge.
2: Satanachia.
3: Agaliarept.
4: Fleurety.
5: Sargatanas.
6: Nebiros.

The 36 Pillars (Named and ranked in detail above).

This story will have politics, like Game of Thrones, drama, suspense, erotica, action, bloodshed, betrayal, and all you can imagine along those lines. This is my first serious attempt at writing something in such a complex genre, so bear with me. I will try to update as fast as I can, I have my exams in July, and I'll be graduating after these. I wrote out this rough outline of sorts to get this idea out of my head, and see what sort of response it gets.

Let me know what you think in the review section. You can also PM me with your thoughts.
