The Blue Spirit Rises

Chapter 3

GoldDragonZ: This is the third Chapter. This is an Elseworld story. Aang took away Azula's bending so she is no longer a threat. She has also been locked away in an Asylum where she can be treated for her Psychotic Break from reality and her psychopathy.

The Blue Spirit had his shield on his left arm, and his spear in his right. He pointed his spear at the Earth Kingdom Citizens who had disrupted the meeting.

"What is the meaning of this?" One of the Earth Kingdom Generals that formed the Council of Five said. "This is a meeting of peoples from all nations across the world. For the betterment of all peoples, we are deciding on what needs to happen in the future."

"You're all against the citizens of the Earth Kingdom!" The leader of the mob said. "You all are figuring out ways to rule the Earth Kingdom and make the people suffer. We've had enough of the war. We are here for the Fire Lord's head!"

With that, they brought out three members of the Royal Guard, who were bruised, cut and bleeding from various parts on their bodies. Their armour was also broken in many places. A great battle had been fought, and the Earth Kingdom citizens had overcome the Royal Guard, no matter if they were former Dai Li agents or Fire Nation soldiers and Fire Benders. They had been defeated. Fudo seethed with anger. He had thought that the people he had chosen for the mission into the Earth Kingdom would be enough to handle anyone who would dare cross any of them. However, there were far too many people against them. The Blue Spirit was about to fail in his job of protecting the Fire Lord. He pointed his spear at the intruders and was ready to lay down his life for the Fire Lord. Nothing else mattered.

"You fools!" Master Jeong Jeong said. "The Fire Lord has been working tirelessly to bring everyone from the Fire Nation back to their part of the world. He is trying his best to spread peace and love. He is here in order to cooperate with us. You cannot have him."

"You either bring him over to us," The leader of the mob said. "Or we'll kill these men and we will attack you."

"Please everyone." General Iroh said. "Surely we can come to some sort of compromise."

"No, you Fire Nation filth." Another member of the mob said. "We will have our vengeance."

"I am The Blue Spirit." Fudo said, addressing the mob. "I will lay my life down for the Fire Lord. If you want him, you will have to go through me."

With that the Blue Spirit started walking towards the Mob's leader.

"Men," The leader said to the soldiers who were behind the members of the Royal Guard that they had captured. "Kill the Fire Nation scum if this Blue Spirit comes any closer."

With that, Fudo stopped in his tracks. He could feel his anger rising. But, he needed to keep a cool head, for his master's sake. Fire Lord Zuko would not want any bloodshed. Fudo was sure of it.

"Hey you guys need to calm down." Avatar Aang said. "We beat the old Fire Lord and her father the Phoenix King Ozai. Fire Lord Zuko is trying to help us bring balance back to the world. He does not want to hurt anyone anymore."

"You're wrong!" The mob leader said. "Fire Nation Filth cannot be trusted. They are all the same. They need to be destroyed. They wiped out all of the Air Nomads. They have been causing chaos and destruction worldwide for one hundred years. We cannot trust them. They need to answer for their crimes."

"Ozai is imprisoned." Fire Lord Zuko said. "My sister is in a mental institution. Their bending has been taken away from them. They are no longer a threat. Yes, there are people who are still followers of theirs, but I can assure you, they will never get free. Even if they do, they are powerless against everyone here who can defeat them in combat. We have science on our side. We also have the Avatar."

"You know what I think?" The Mob leader said. "I will challenge you to what your culture calls an Agni Kai. If you lose, we kill everyone that you came here with. If you win, we will leave you alone."

"You cannot be serious." Master Piandao said. "Fire Lord Zuko went against his own family. He joined people who also were agitated at his presence. The Avatar Aang vouched for him. We all will vouch for him now."

"No." Fire Lord Zuko said. "I will accept his challenge."

Fudo looked back to his master with concern.

"Master, you cannot be serious." He said. "They mean to kill you."

"These people have a right to be angry." Fire Lord Zuko said. "If it pleases them, I will fight the leader and defeat him."'

"I'm here to protect you." Fudo said. "Let me be the one to fight this person. I will defeat him in the honour of all the people we brought here for your Royal Guard that they killed."

"Don't worry about your Fire Nation filth that came here." The mob leader said. "Some of them survived, but only have a limited amount of time. You see they are buried under some Earth. Fire Lord, you either fight me now or they suffocate and die."

Fudo looked back at the Earth Kingdom citizens who were there with the mob leader. They were all misguided. In order to bring back balance to the world, they all needed to stop the fighting. They needed to rally as one peoples yes, but they needed to rely on the leaders of the nations to come together in order to figure out what would be the best course of action. More fighting would not solve anything.

"You need to stand down." One of the Generals said. "Release the Fire Nation Royal Guard from wherever you have them. This is not how we should solve things."

"It's okay." Fire Lord Zuko said, "I accept the Agni Kai."

"Fire Lord!" Fudo said, "We need you to be the leader and be protected. That's why you have a Royal Guard, so we can do the fighting for you."

"These people need to be shown that I will not roll over." Fire Lord Zuko said. "I am going to be stubborn because our people need me to be."

"Where do you want to do this?" Fire Lord Zuko asked, turning to the Mob Leader.

"We will fight outside the palace." The mob leader said.

And with that the Earth Kingdom Mob of Citizens and the leaders and masters of the world left the throne room to see how the Agni kai would be fought.

Zuko had taken off his royal clothes. He was now wearing just a pair of shorts. Meanwhile, the Mob Leader was still dressed in his same clothes that he had come in with. A group of Earth Benders created a stage made from Earth so that if one of them, Fire Lord Zuko or the Mob Leader fell off, they would be disqualified.

"Like Earth and sand puts out a fire, my Earth Bending will put you out, oh Fire Lord." The Mob Leader said mockingly.

"My name is Zuko." Fire Lord Zuko said. "I am Fire Lord of the Fire Nation. I have faced death many times and have still survived. You cannot put out my fire, for I will not lose. I need to win for my Nation, for my family's redemption, and for the peace that we need in this world today."

"Your words are filled with wisdom, but make no mistake." The mob leader said. "I will crush you. I will grind your bones into dust."

This is not good. Fudo thought to himself from the sidelines. I need to stop them. But my Lord wished to do this himself. He wants to fight for all Fire Nation Citizen's honour. I need to honour him by not getting in his way…

And then the Agni Kai Began. The Mob Leader stomped on the ground, summoning a piece of Earth from it. He punched the piece of Earth towards Fire Lord Zuko. Zuko jumped into the air, his right foot landing on the piece of Earth. Zuko flipped into the air, and twirled. He landed right behind the Mob Leader. The Mob Leader used a crescent kick aimed at Fire Lord Zuko's head. Fire Lord Zuko blocked it with his right forearm. He kicked with his left leg at the Mob Leader's legs, pushing him backwards. The Mob Leader fell onto his back. He earth bent with his arms as he struck the floor. Earth rose up to push Fire Lord Zuko away. Fire Lord Zuko had known that the Earth Bender's weakness was their root to the ground. Their legs needed to be swept away. Fire Lord Zuko had tried to exploit that weakness, but the Earth Bending Mob Leader was not easily defeated. He came to his feet by Earth Bending from his arms so that he was touching Earth at all times. Fire Lord Zuko changed tactics and started just throwing Fire at the Mob Leader. Meanwhile, the Earth Kingdom Citizens who came with the Mob Leader were shouting. They obviously did not know that for an Agni Kai, you needed to be quiet while the fight went on. Fudo was holding his spear tightly. He was gritting his teeth. These people were entertained by violence. Either that or they just wanted Fire Lord Zuko to die. Fire Lord Zuko used the power of Fire to heat up the Earth on the platform that they were fighting on. The Mob Leader started dancing, because his feet were burning.

"You're cheating." He called out to Fire Lord Zuko.

Before Zuko could respond, Earth Benders on the Mob Leader's side flipped the Earth Over. Zuko barely had time to get out of the way before getting crushed by the Earth. Now the Earth was cooler. The Mob Leader smiled with treachery in his eyes. Fire Lord Zuko started creating whips out of fire. His fire whips were thrown to the Mob Leader, who used Earth to protect himself. Fire Lord Zuko ran as close as he could to the Mob Leader, who expected this move. He Earth Bent the Earth in front of him to try and smash it into the Fire Lord. Fire Lord Zuko jumped over the Earth with experience. He used a crescent kick and created a blast of fire at the enemy. Suddenly, his leg got caught. Someone from the crowd had Earth Bent so that his leg was caught. He tried pulling his leg out of the ground, but it was of no use. He looked at the Mob Leader, who had protected himself from the Fire blast. He pulled out a large piece of Earth, and held it over his head. He smiled at Fire Lord Zuko, who went into a horse stance to try and protect himself from the Earth that was about to smash down over his head. He kept his hands in fists, and had them at his waist. Another Earth Bender pulled his leg from under him, making him loose balance at the last second. He had no time to protect himself. Fire Lord Zuko was about to be killed as the Mob Leader hurled the massive piece of Earth at him. Fire Lord Zuko closed his eyes.

Then there was a blast of lightning. The piece of Earth was blasted away. Several members of the crowd ran for cover as the molten rock fell to the ground outside the ring. Fire Lord Zuko opened his eyes. Fudo, the Blue Spirit stood in front of him.

"You fools have no honour." He said to the Mob Leader. "An Agni Kai is meant to be fought one on one. You have cheated, and so I will step in to face you."

Several members of the Mob Leader's group climbed onto the platform where the battle was taking place.

"Fudo," Fire Lord Zuko said.

Toph released Fire Lord Zuko from the Earth that held him. Team Avatar brought Fire Lord Zuko down from the platform. Fudo only had his sword, which was sheathed on his back, and his two knives which were sheathed as well in their places on each boot. Fudo quickly dropped a smoke bomb. And with that, he seemed to have disappeared. The Mob Leader's eyes widened, however, right next to him, there was a secondary explosion of smoke. The Blue Spirit appeared and he viciously attacked the Mob Leader, sending him on the defensive. The Blue Spirit looked at his left, and saw that one of the Earth Benders was about to send a piece of Rock at him. The Blue Spirit quickly threw a ninja star at the man, who cried out in pain, dropping the piece of Earth to the ground. The man's eye was bleeding, and the ninja star was protruding from the man's skull. Fudo had no time to look and see if anyone else was going to attack him from the sidelines as the Mob Leader was seething and starting to pull up a lot of Earth from the ground. Fudo summoned lightning and hurled it at the base of the Earth that the Mob Leader was standing on. Fudo followed it up with a blast of blue fire by forming a ball of fire in his two hands, bringing his hands to his face, and firing it with his breath. The blue fire made the Earth explode. Fudo dropped to the ground as Earth flew over his head from behind him. He had expected this attack, and had used the crowd's eye movements to see what was happening behind him. Fudo pulled out his two knives, and turned around. Two Earth Benders were on the platform. Fudo threw the two knives which smashed into their chests. They had not seen him unsheathe his weapons and were taken off guard. They fell to their backs, grasping the hilts of the knives as blood pooled underneath them.

"You people lust for violence." Fudo said. "The Fire Nation has changed. All we want is peace."

"You've attacked my people and say you want peace?" The Mob Leader asked, "Tell me, Blue Spirit, was it your duty to your Fire Lord that made you step in during our Agni Kai, or did you long for battle?"

The Blue Spirit's eyes widened, although no one could see his eyes. He realized that part of that was true. He had wanted to use his skills that he was taught to use. He wanted to defend his Fire Lord, but he wanted to fight as well. He was ashamed to admit it, but he wanted battle as well. Fudo seethed and pulled his sword off of his back. He unsheathed his sword, and tossed the scabbard aside. He ignited the blade with blue fire, which heated up the metal until it was red hot. He ran forward. The Mob Leader stomped on the ground, and used a side blade kick to send earth flying towards The Blue Spirit. Fudo sliced the earth into two pieces, and threw them aside. He bent down low, travelling quickly as earth was hurled over his head. He fire bent with his right arm which was holding the sword and with his left hand as well. He threw a wave of fire at the Mob Leader. It was a crescent made from fire. The Mob Leader was thrown back. He was about to get back on his feet, but then there was smoke all around him. The Blue Spirit had used another smoke bomb, and this time, it stung the Mob Leader's eyes. The Mob Leader wiped his eyes, forgetting for a moment that he was in combat. The Blue Spirit sprung forward. He brought his blade up and gutted the Mob Leader from his stomach, up into his chest. Blood started pouring out of the wound. The Mob Leader coughed up blood. He grasped Fudo's forearms. Fear sparkled in his eyes. Fudo looked to the crowd, which had gone silent. He looked to Katara.

"I need a healer!" He cried out. "Now!"

Katara was shocked as she saw Fudo cauterize the wound with fire bending. She snapped out of it, and pulled out water from her flask that was on her side. She would need a lot more water to heal this man. The Blue Spirit gently laid the man down on the floor taking the sword he had used out of the man's body. He looked to the other people he had hurt. Master Paku had brought two other healers with him from the North Pole. Other servants were told to fetch water as the healers were tasked with healing those who were wounded.

"You people wanted this." The Blue Spirit said to the group of Earth Kingdom Citizens who were there for the Mob Leader. "It wasn't our attention to cause mayhem and destruction. We just wanted peace! That's all. You all caused this. I am tasked with protecting the Fire Lord. Does anyone else want to challenge me? You have to be ashamed of yourselves. Make no mistake, your leader was strong and powerful, but he was no match for me."

"We have lost." One of the members of the mob said. "We will not attack you or any of your allies anymore. Thank you for showing our leader mercy by asking for a healer. You really are honourable, Blue Spirit."

The Blue Spirit knelt down before the Fire Lord next:

"My Lord, I am sorry that I intruded on your Agni Kai, however they broke the rules first. They attacked you and stopped your advancement before you could defeat your foe. I needed to stop them. I needed to defeat them and shame them so that they could no longer mock your name, Lord Zuko."

"It's okay Fudo." Fire Lord Zuko said. "I understand. I gave you the task of protecting me. You did just that, although I have no idea how you were able to do the things that you did just now. That was incredible."

"Thank You, Fire Lord Zuko." The Blue Spirit said.

With that, those who were wounded were sent away, although the Mob Leader was damaged the most. Luckily, Master Paku always carried a vial of water from the Spirit Oasis from the North Pole. Katara was able to heal the Mob Leader back to full strength, however he would forever have the scar on his stomach going up to his chest as a reminder never to threaten the Fire Lord or The Blue Spirit ever again. The meeting between the world leaders and masters was able to commence again. The Blue Spirit retrieved his weapons and cleaned them. He had fought well.

Katara and the other healers were able to heal all of the members of the mob who were wounded. Zuko took some time away from the meeting to get his foot looked after. It seemed that he was alright, however he did feel some pain close to his big toe. He was healed and then sent on his way. The Blue Spirit had not been wounded whatsoever. He knew that there were other people who wanted the Fire Nation citizens away from the capital of the Earth Kingdom. There might be more threats. The Fire Nation Royal Guard members who were still alive were let go and healed as well. The mob was disbanded, and the Generals of the Earth Kingdom assured them that their interests were going to be discussed as well. They needed another person to speak for them, so they decided another person under the Mob Leader would speak for them at the meeting. Fire Lord Zuko and the Blue Spirit returned to the meeting. Mai stopped them before they entered the meeting room.

"That was careless, Zuko." Mai said. "You could have been killed."

"I know." He said. "I just didn't want anyone else to be hurt. I didn't know other earth benders would attack me."

"Just leave the fighting to the people you hired." Mai said, "The world needs you in the same way they need the Avatar. You're part of this world, so just leave the fighting to the people who you hired. They're expendable."

The Blue Spirit kind of felt hurt at that, but she had a point. Why become the Fire Lord's protector if you did not expect to lay down your life for him and his family? Iroh was a powerful fire bender, and so was Fire Lord Zuko. Mai knew how to fight by using shuriken and other throwing knives. They could probably protect themselves from other warriors, but The Blue Spirit was ready and willing to help protect them. He continued to follow the Fire Lord no matter where he went. The meeting continued for a while, and the masters and leaders continued to talk about issues that would have impacts on the whole world. There were peoples throughout the world who were mixed Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom. Those people wanted a place to stay and call their own home as they were not fully Earth Kingdom, and not fully Fire Nation citizens either. They also needed to go throughout the land and see what damage was done with Sozin's comet came across the world, empowering the Fire Nation warriors with immense Fire Bending strength. So it came to pass that a task force including the Avatar and several airships provided by the Fire Nation would fly throughout the Earth Kingdom to see what could be done to undo the actions of Fire Nation Fire Benders who had destroyed the Earth. In the meantime, Fire Lord Zuko would return to his duties in the Fire Kingdom, making sure all the ships across the world would return to the Fire Nation and not intervene with the efforts by the other peoples to help heal the world.

Fire Lord Zuko would also try to help the citizens who identified as neither Earth Kingdom and Fire Nation citizens. They needed a home as well. There were several islands in the Fire Nation that Fire Lord Zuko thought that they could use as their new homes. Fire Lord Zuko also tried to persuade the Generals of the Earth Kingdom to let some of the citizens keep their homes within the Earth Kingdom. However, there was much debate between the Mob members and the other masters. They needed to keep speaking to each other about the efforts that needed to take place in order to help bring peace back to the world.

Ty Lee leaned on the balcony railing that was outside her room that she was sharing with some of the other Kyoshi Warriors. She was wearing women sleeping shirt that an Earth Kingdom woman would wear. She sighed, thinking about the events of the day. The Blue Spirit was something else. He was dangerous to be sure, but there was also something about him that was different than what she initially thought. He reminded her of Azula. He wanted his enemies to be healed. Azula, however, wanted to see her enemies destroyed. There was something about his aura as well. It was not like Azula's but was calmer. He was not vengeful.

"It looks like things are getting better." A voice said from behind Ty Lee.

"Mai," Ty Lee said, turning around to see her friend. "How are you?"

Ty Lee embraced her friend, who hugged her back as well.

"That was intense!" Ty Lee said. "That Blue Spirit was incredible, but he reminded me of Azula."

"I know what you mean." Mai said. "He can use lightning and blue fire just like Azula, but he really is different. He wants to protect us. Zuko hired him after someone tried killing him."

"Someone tried killing Zuko?"

"Yeah, but Fudo is there for the royal family as well, including me and Zuko's uncle Iroh."

"Oh, his name is Fudo?"

"Yeah."

"I want to talk to him. Where is he now?"

"He's guarding Zuko and uncle Iroh right now. They are in the royal meeting room, still talking to the Generals of the Earth Kingdom."

"Come with me."

"Ok."

And with that the two friends made their way through the palace to find Fire Lord Zuko, Uncle Iroh, and their protector Fudo, the Blue Spirit.

Fudo was tired, but he needed to stay on guard until another guard could be summoned to take over his job of keeping watch for the Fire Lord and his uncle. They were still talking to the Generals of the Earth Kingdom. Everyone else had retired to different rooms within the palace where they could rest. The Avatar had ventured forth to find where his bison was in order to make sure Appa was fed. Katara, Sokka, and Toph went to meet with their other friends, including the Kyoshi warriors and their masters. They also went to get a bite to eat as well. Fudo and Fire Lord Zuko had asked the Generals if it was possible to find out the fates of what happened to the Fire Nation Royal Guard members who were attacked by the Earth Kingdom Mob. Several of the Royal Guard members had been killed by the Mob. Others were wounded. The ferocity of the Mob had made it abundantly clear that the Fire Lord needed to be protected. They had stopped being a menace for now, but that might change with the coming of night, when Fire Benders were weakest. Suddenly, there was a commotion. Fudo could hear two voices and footsteps coming from down the hall from the quarters where some of the other people were staying. Fudo looked up and his grip tightened on his spear that he was holding. He saw that it was Lady Mai and her friend Ty Lee. They were coming up to him.

"Hello, mistress Mai." Fudo said, bowing humbly. "I hope everything is well."

"It's really boring here, now that the fighting is over." Mai said.

"Where are the guards that were positioned near your quarters in order to protect you?" Fudo asked.

"Oh, those women?" Mai said. "I lost them while looking for my friend Ty Lee."

"Hey, Blue Spirit." Ty Lee said, smiling brightly at Fudo, who already knew who she was. "You fought fearlessly earlier."

"Thank you." Fudo said, but then he turned to Mai. "Those Guards were placed by your quarters in order to protect you. You should not have left your quarters without them. Supposed something happened to you?"

"I can handle myself." Mai said, frustrated. "I've fought people who could bend the elements. I beat the Kyoshi warriors too."

"She's right." Ty Lee said. "She doesn't want to be smothered. She wants to go out on her own."

"Fire Lord Zuko will not be pleased." Fudo said adamantly. "He is worried for you all. He doesn't want anything bad to happen to anyone. That's why I was hired. I am here to protect the Fire Lord and his people. You are my responsibility. What would your parents say?"

"I don't care what anyone says." Mai said. "Like I said before, I can handle myself."

"Okay, if you say so, mistress." Fudo said, and then he changed the subject, looking at Ty Lee. "You must be Mai's friend Ty Lee. You were once part of the circus, no?"

"That was almost a year ago." Ty Lee said. "I'm glad you know about me. Maybe one day we can go and I can perform for you."

"It would be my honour to see your skills." Fudo said. "I've heard that you are quite the fighter as well, much like mistress Mai."

"We are very different." Mai said. "Ty Lee can almost fly through the air and strike the pressure points of her enemies, taking away their bending for a while. I am an expert and throwing weapons."

"That is awesome." Fudo said. "But Mai, I have to tell you that no matter how skilled you are, I'm still in charge of protecting you."

"Fine, next time I need to go anywhere, I will take the guard detail with me." Mai said, rolling her eyes as she said the words. "Where is Zuko right now?"

"He's still in a meeting with the Generals of the Earth Kingdom." Fudo said.

Suddenly the door opened, and Fire Lord Zuko and his uncle Iroh departed from the room.

"Hello ladies." Uncle Iroh said. "Master Fudo, how is everything?"

"Some of the guards were killed in duty." Fudo said. "Some of them are still alive and are being healed by the Water Benders that Master Paku came with from the North Pole."

"That's good to hear." Uncle Iroh said. "How are the survivors?"

"Their morale could be better." Fudo said honestly. "They have been given shifts in order to protect the Fire Lord, you and mistress Mai. They will be stationed just outside your quarters."

"What about you?" Fire Lord Zuko asked. "You must be tired."

"I am, but I need to be here in case the Earth Kingdom mob comes back in order to do you harm, Lord Zuko." Fudo said. "Will you be going now?"

"Yes." Fire Lord Zuko said. "It's been a long day. I think it would do us better if we all rested for the night. I think that was my mistake earlier. I was impulsive. I wanted to fight that mob leader. Thanks for taking over for me when they were cheating. I wasn't thinking properly."

"It was my pleasure, Lord Zuko." Fudo said.

The group of Fire Nation members made their way through the halls of the Earth Kingdom palace. The Earth Kingdom Generals had hired several other people to guard the palace to supplement the guards that were already there. No one else was permitted to enter without prior notice.

"I think I will go with Zuko to his bedroom." Mai said as they came up to the sleeping quarters section of the palace.

"Thank you for earlier, master Blue Spirit." Uncle Iroh said, bowing, and then turned to go to his own quarters.

There were several guards stationed outside of each room in order to protect those who would be sleeping within the rooms. There were other guards patrolling the premises. Mai, Fire Lord Zuko, Ty Lee, and Fudo came up to the Fire Lord's quarters.

"Okay good night." Fire Lord Zuko said to Ty Lee and Fudo.

Fudo turned to the guard that was stationed there to protect the Fire Lord.

"Are you rested and good to go?" Fudo asked the guard.

"I'm ready to spend the next several hours protecting the Fire Lord." The guard said. "You can rest now, Blue Spirit."

"Thank you." Fudo said, and then he turned to Ty Lee.

"Would you like me to walk you to your room?" He asked.

"I have a better idea." Ty Lee said.

They left the Fire Lord and his mistress to enter their quarters to have time for themselves. Fudo had a sleeping quarters close to the Fire Lord. It was a small room, meant for a servant. Fudo entered the room first. He made sure that the close was clear. He had placed a cabinet in the room to place his weapons and armour. He took off his mask first and let Ty Lee look at him. He was quite handsome.

"Hey I know you!" She said excitedly. "You were there on Embers Island. You were at the beach and then at Chan's beach house."

"Yes," He said. "My name is Fudo. I've known you, Fire Lord Zuko, Mai and Princess Azula for a while now. Chan and the rest of the people had no idea who you four were. I have travelled throughout the Fire Nation and learned as much as I could about the different Martial Arts and weapon mastery as I could. My father is also an expert Fire Bender, and taught me everything he knows."

Fudo continued to take off his armour. He took one of his knives out and put it within reach in case he needed to use it. He was wearing a black top made from cotton and dark red shorts. He sat on the cot in his room, and gestured Ty Lee to have a seat.

"What about you?" Fudo asked. "Where do you come from?"

"I have seven sisters." Ty Lee began to explain about her life.

She told him everything. She told him how she wanted to not be like the rest of her sisters. She needed to have her own hobby. That is why she wanted to join the circus. She had learned the way to fight from the Fire Nation Academy for Girls. That is where she met Mai and Princess Azula. She told him about her time in the circus up until the time Azula asked her to come on the quest with her to find Fire Lord Zuko, Uncle Iroh, the Avatar, and in order to take over Ba Sing Se and the Earth Kingdom. She told him about the time she betrayed Azula. She told him about her time with the Kyoshi warriors. She had learned much from them.

"So I guess that means you are an expert on the human body, if you know where all of the pressure points are." Fudo said.

"I guess you can." Ty Lee said. "Hey I have an idea. Lie down."

"How, like on my back?" Fudo asked.

"Yeah, just roll with it." Ty Lee said.

He lay down on his back, closing his eyes, giving all control to Ty Lee. Ty Lee closed her eyes and she placed her hand on his chest. She moved her hand down to his stomach as well.

"I can feel your chi." She said. "You're calm right now, but I can still feel some stress. You're worried about the Fire Lord. You want to do your job well. You haven't made a lot of friends, well close friends anyway. Maybe that's why you want to wear the mask of the Blue Spirit? You don't want people to fear you and your power. You are quite skillful in your abilities. Okay, now roll onto your stomach."

"Okay," Fudo said, giving all control over to Ty Lee.

She started to massage his back muscles. He moaned with contentment as she released the tension that he felt there. She started with the upper part of his back, near his neck. She made her way down the left side of his body and then she made her way up the middle of his back to then go down the right side of his body. She continued massaging down his gluteal muscles on both sides. She massaged his left leg and then his right. She could feel a little tension in his legs, from some of the strain that had happened during the day.

"Okay, now lie on your back." She said in almost a whisper.

"I cannot." Fudo said.

"Why?"

"You don't want to know."

"You can trust me."

Fudo sighed. He did not want to do this, but he didn't want to lie to her either.

"I am erect." He said finally, causing Ty Lee to blush.

"It's okay." She said.

Fudo got up onto his arms, reaching down to pin his erection down to himself. He rolled onto his back.

"It's okay." Ty Lee said again trying to console him even though he was kind of embarrassed.

She took his right arm into both of hers and started massaging them.

"You're so tense." She said. "It must be from holding the spear and the shield for so long during the day. You need someone to relieve you sometimes; otherwise you might get too tired to protect Fire Lord Zuko, Mai, and Uncle Iroh."

"You are very knowledgeable." Fudo said. "Maybe you should also be an adviser to Fire Lord Zuko?"

"I'm not that smart." Ty Lee said. "I wouldn't know where to begin."

"At the very least, you can be their friend." Fudo said.

"I am their friend." Ty Lee admitted. "But the world is a big place. I want to see more of it. I want to train with the Kyoshi warriors. Their place is outside these walls. I want to be with them. I will be forever Mai and Zuko's friend, but I don't want to be tied down right now."

"Don't be a stranger." Fudo said. "Come visit us in the Fire Nation some time."

"I will." She said, and then she closed her eyes.

She lowered her head down to Fudo's head. Their lips met tenderly. Fudo began using his lips to massage Ty Lee's lower lip. His arms folded over her body, massaging her back as he sat up, breaking the kiss.

"You are glorious." "Fudo said. "I've liked you for a long time, Ty Lee."

"Thanks, Fudo." Ty Lee said, blushing and smiling at the same time.

She was sitting on his right side on the bed. They began to kiss again when there was a loud smashing sound of Earth being smashed into the wall of another room. That could only mean one thing: Someone was trying to take out the Fire Lord once more.
