Monster, that one word was what I was called.
Memories… They were vague at times, but the ENDLESS VOID does wear on your psyche. Especially if you were in that dark uncaring void for what felt like hundreds of years, alone with your own thoughts. The only reason I stayed sane-ish was from the mental conditioning of my past life mixed in with bouts of fantasizing about entering every story I could remember, from the bright hopeful ones to the grim dark ones, living in a era of constant war. One fantasy I found myself coming back to as my mind faded was a story I read shortly before my death. It was about a salary man who lives in a Dystopia. After his favorite game was shutting down he stayed as it was turned off and found himself in another world where he was godlike. Another story I remembered well was about a young boy whose mind was fractured from a cursed inferno and saved from a repentant assassin. That boy would be caught up in a fight between seven servants and masters, all fighting for a monkey's paw, one servant wanted to kill that boy, for he was himself older, wiser, stronger. The details are long forgotten, something about an endless fate, suffering eternal. Besides those there were other stories I vaguely remembered, one about a weak powerless green kid who inherited his Idol's own power, a demon fox child who wished to be a leader, and a boy who lived.
Caught in my musing as my mind was finally almost ground to dust I hear a TUNKING sound, repeatedly, and after Centuries I open my eyes in front of me was a elderly man laughing mad, as if he just discovered the pathway to the Root- widening my eyes at that thought, new knowledge flooded through my brain, words unfamiliar appeared in my mind. Root, Akasha, Prana, Magecraft, Magic, Homunculus, ect.
Before I could fully process what was happening a eerily familiar sword burst through the man's chest, and a tanned man with white hair was staring at me with dead eyes. Soon a black sword came swinging at my young child-like body only to be repelled from an unseen force, the man not deterred swung the sword once again, no harm came to me. Faster and faster the man swung his blades, just to be repelled from the unknown force every time. Each failed attempt the man was getting stronger as if empowered by a secret benefactor, just for the blade to be stopped again and again. Soon the man switched weaponry, many blades of all types and make, some that felt holy being near them, and others that just felt wrong as if a perversion of order.
For the next five hours I watched as the man went from superhuman to a state as if a living god. After more than five hours, another man appeared, then another, and another. Soon dozens of men and women each tanned to various degrees with white or silver hair where attacking the barrier that protected my life. I found myself noticing only slightly being hungry after a few days had passed. Though soon after those thoughts the men and women disappeared, to disappear after those thoughts of slight hunger? This surely was a trap but I would rather die instantly then starve to death. Soon the barrier disappeared, and an odd red arrow speared from the ground up piercing my heart- it did but then it didn't. Suddenly I felt a presence that hadn't noticed was there since before my rebirth disappeared, as if deeming killing me a lost cause.
A few days passed, since then I explored the massive building I was born in, outside was a heavy smog and homeless could be seen at every corner, people seem to ignore the building I was in, perhaps due to what I found in the basement. Books of occult origin, records of magic's decline, and how only a few dozen people could even use mystical powers, how Gaia was almost dead. I was a project to artificially have nearly four hundred high quality magic circuits. A mixture of illegal gene altering, cybernetics, and what would have been heretical in magic society, if not for it's almost complete destruction. From what I read, a Grail War long ago had a servant reincarnate, a powerful demi-god, that demi-god lost an arm to a master. Somehow the man who created me got a hold of this arm, along with blood samples of various magical races like Oni and even a drop of blood from a Dragon. Using "CRISPR" and intense study, both magical and technological I was born, a perfect fusion of Divinity, Demons, Vampirism, and Dragons all stuffed into a body of a Homunculus altered with cybernetics. How a hodgepodge of genetics and metal wasn't making me fall over and die of cancer, and a dozen other genetic defects I did not know at the time.
As I would find out, inside of me are a dozen "Avalon", a sheath that held Excalibur, from what I know they were part of a last gift of a powerful Magician before he left this dying world. Most of the remaining Mages got gifts tailor made for them, from what I read, the Sheaths had been altered in some way that I was seen as their true owner. Truly I would be dead without them, but as I continued to read, more was made clear. I was to learn Magecraft and bring about the "Second Age of Gods" even if it was a drastic option, it would Revive Gaia, the Men and Women who attacked where Counter Guardians, untold heroes of Alaya. Bringing about a Second age of Gods would result in a massive lost of life, greater then every war fought together. Alaya would be weakened, but at the rate humanity is progressing it will be trapped on Earth, and die out. Ayala was looking short term, while my Creator was working for humanity surviving the next thousand years.
Once I was done reading this, my mind clicked, as if remembering a childhood memory long forgotten… I remembered EVERYTHING. I was in the Future of a story I told myself over and over again, Fate/Stay. Funny that I woke up in a story, only for it to be long over, and humanity facing it's end. When I was in that hell I wanted to be outside and see trees oh so much, and now the world was dying and the only way to save it would be committing genocide on a scale untold throughout human history.
Five weeks, that's how long it took me to read every occult book my Creator, now known as Calvin had. Without my Cybernetics or Magical body and mind it may have taken Months to read through all of the occult books… thankfully I didn't need to read the fictional books, or else I may be stuck in the study for the next few months. In my free time not studying I found early Alpha Game play from "YGGDRASIL" to be fascinating. How they managed to make such a groundbreaking game is beyond me, even with the current technology that is available it should have been impossible.
It's been two years since I was reincarnated, from what the comprehensive guide Calvin made for me, I am beyond some of the greatest Geniuses of Magecraft. If I had to guess it's because my computing power is faster than a Military Grade Supercomputer along with me not needing to take breaks and sleep. Having a body that only needs sleep once every few months, Godly Talent from the Goddess Ninsun, Wisdom from a Dragon, Strength of a Oni, and the Immortality of a True Ancestor creator of Vampires. All of those stuffed into a Body of a Homunculus with insane amounts of Magical Circuits all of the highest quality, kept together by a Dozen versions of Avalon in Worlds where Artoria Pendragon lost the Sheath and seeing me as the true owner. Fused with advanced and highly illegal cybernetics made from magical materials and reinforced to a degree that anymore would instead damage it. Truly Calvin was a genius born in the wrong era, if he was to be born into the Age of Gods, no doubt he would have been a Caster of such degree that Solomon, King of Magic would grant him the Title "God of Magic".
Relaxation? It is enviable that someone could handle only so much studying, and to me, that was Buying the Beta release of YGGDRASIL. I had kept an eye on it since I watched the Alpha and gained my memories back, so when the Open Beta was finally announced I bought the Beta Copy. looking at all the playable starting races once caught my eye, "Doppelganger" it's Lore and game play drew me in. a creature that could manipulate itself down to the Atomic Level? Being both Organic and Non-Organic at the same time? Mimicking behavior that could fool anyone? It's lore was so cool, how much being one would help my research would be an understatement. It's Game play was heavily nerfed compared to lore, but even still, being able to play any job and race with only a 15% decrease in stats. It was broken.
"Name" how stupid was I, after designing my Character it asked for my name, and I realized, for the past Two Years… I DON'T REMEMBER MY NAME! It never occurred to me that this whole time I was missing a name, so I stopped and thought off a name. I wanted it to reflect my Nature, a Goldy Talent- God... I may not have a God Complex, but in my recent study, my Divinity is a Major reason I haven't knelled over and died, sure the Dozen Avalon was the main reason, but without the Divinity I would be dead, so instead of name relating to a Dragon, Oni, or Vampire I wanted one related to a God. most, if not all Gods are added into YGGDRASIL, so it has to be something Unique. My Mind goes flying thinking about the Gods, and lands on Angra Mainyu, the Big Bad of Fate/Stay, the Zoroastrian god of Evil. Then an Idea comes to me as I see the Angel Race, The Yazata they are pretty much the Angels of Zoroastrianism Religion, I was not a God, nor do I think Myself as a God, but I have Blood of Ninsun a Babylonian Goddess in my veins.
Yazata, a Famous name in YGGDRASIL as one of the strongest and oldest players, when he first joined the Early beta, his input helps fix multiple bugs in the game, a major change was the shape-shifting mechanic, which at first was seen as unusable mid combat but when fixed and the high learning curve mastered, one became near immortal in melee combat. "You take no damage if you shift your flesh out of the way" was a famous quote of Yazata. Yazata was seen as a monster, if he got into melee range you would die. A major feat that got even the GM's attention was a World Champion who also became a World Enemy, slaying Thirty level 100 Players. Having the skills of both Classes he was seen as impossible to defeat, until Yazata challenged him in a Duel. broadcasted live, the man who slew thirty level one hundred players was Curb-Stomped in the battle, with Yazata only getting hit once in the whole fight.
Yazata was rewarded with the World Champion of Muspelheim job, and given a Random World Class item, as it would turn out that item was Ouroboros, and Yazata requested live, for the Level Cap to be raised for all players. That stunt stunned even the GM, and a massive spam of "Thank Yous" was spammed towards Yazata, the following Weekend the level cap was raised to 110
Other Such feats of Prowess would be Breaking into the Great Tomb of Nazarick's Throne room just to ask to join the Guild, instigating the civil war which broke apart Trinity, and finally the most insane feat of all, Slaying all Ten Archangels of Sephira, and being giving a Unique Race, a fusion of Angel and Doppelganger.
"Momonga, they just released them, by next week they'll be all dead. I'm lucky to have found this hidden dungeon, you know that Nazarick is still feeling the after effects from the raid so we can't raid this as a guild" Yazata said tiredly, knowing that Momonga while disagreeing with his plan would acquiesce.
"Yeah I wonder why over two thousand people attacked our guild, noticeably with former members of Trinity making up a good 1/4th of the members- oh wait I remember they found out you caused the civil war, remembered you boasting about joining Ainz Ooal Gown by sneaking into the Throne room" Momonga snarked with a noticeable hit of pride at the fact the guild survived that.
"Did I teach you to snark or are classes with Ulbert rubbing off on you? I can and will give you detention if I have to, young mister!" Joking always got through towards Momonga Yazata recalled, but he must still be slightly stressed that another group will take advantage of the weakened Nazarick
"Sensei! I would never snark at you, even if you're younger than me! Do you have so little faith in your teaching skills that you would kick out your top student?" Momonga snarked once again, causing a visible tick mark to appear over Yazata's head, a new edition from the Emoji update.
Yazata laughed over the message spell, remembering how he started teaching over half the guild, as it would turn out education above elementary school was rare, with college grade being only for the rich. With all the books he inherited from Calvin, a man who he greatly respected even if only meeting him for a few seconds, there were books of all types, importing them to YGGDRASIL was hard enough, but while doing so Momonga was reading a Quest Book. A single conversion led to him giving a class based history, soon this spiral out into other fields of study such as math, language, and other subjects. Others joined in and it became a common thing for the guild to study over, Momonga took to learning like a fish in water, surprisingly Ulbert was quite a learner to, even the duller members were at a high school level of learning. Everyone in the guild helped him learn to. Their ideas and pragmatism born from having to do jobs they had to learn on the fly helped with his Magecraft, leading to his ultimate magic, Tapping into the Throne of Heroes.
Breaking from his Memories Yazata realized he was at the First gate, opening it he stood in front of an Archangel, it's name read "Barachiel". The angel had pure white undecorated robes of a priest with a golden cross around his neck, three pairs of white wings on his back, while mostly white, they faded into a golden color.
"I am Barachiel once a Mortal, but was blessed by God ascending to being an Angel, over many battles I have proven my faith time and time again and have become an Archangel. If you value your eternal soul Sinner then repent by my blade!" the artificial intelligence said in a silky smooth voice, while creating a plain and unadorned blade in his hand.
Rushing forwards Yazata parried the blade with his Red Spear, and drove a Black Dagger into the exposed chest of Barachiel, the dagger tore through the robes, but bounced off Barachiel's exposed muscles. Quickly slashing with his Red Spear to deal damage to Barachiel, just for them to just back to not be hit.
'Invulnerability? No, all bosses have weaknesses, he dodged my spear slash. Perhaps a weakness to a damage type? But why would a boss be weak to Slashing but not Stabbing? No that's not it, non-enchanted weapon resistance perhaps? That's the only difference between Spear and Knife, both are divine class, one's just Enchanted and the other isn't for Anti-Magic reasons.' Yazata thought in a split second since Barachiel dodged, quickly switching out the Blade Knife for a weaker Blue Knife, that was Enchanted
Rushing forward and stabbing the spear repeatedly towards Barachiel who dodged or blocked confirmed Yazata's suspicions, quickly getting into close range so he couldn't stab or slash Barachiel hadn't noticed the knife being switched and soon saw the new enchanted knife going for his chest once more, with a impromptu block it instead dug into his shoulder. Thinking that Yazata was now open for a attack soon failed, as the Knife was let go, and a kick sent towards his sternum, sending Barachiel flying back, getting up and rolling to the side just in time for the Red Spear to be thrown where their heart was, barely dodging but cutting off his Right arm. As the arm fell to the ground the sword dissipated and reformed in Barachiel's left hand, Barachiel cast a healing spell on their arm, soon after Yazata with a Broadsword was in front of them, cleaving off the now reformed arm now holding a shield.
Realizing that they where outmatched in Martial prowess Barachiel teleported to the entrance of the room, faraway enough and their back not against the wall, they quickly summoned 7 Seraph Empyreans to delay Yazata, and start to heal and buff themselves, Yazata on the other hand quickly dispatches two of the Seraphims, and quickly morphs into Momonga raising ten Death Knights to act as meat shields then reverts back. Striking when he can to kill the Seraphims. Soon after all the Seraphims are dead with three death knights left, Barachiel runs quickly killing the three remaining undead, before blocking a surprise attack from Yazata. Left exposed from the block, Yazata is impaled. Barachiel grins at his victory, only to realize Yazata didn't take damage, nor did he feel his blade meet resistance from the flesh. Looking down at where he stabbed Yazata, there was a small hole, just enough for Barachiel's blade to fit into. Quickly slashing to the left, he once again does not feel resistance as the flesh was moved milliseconds before his sword could cut it, quickly filling itself back up. Left exposed, Yazata Broadsword cleaves off their head.
'Damn, that was close. How the hell did I not remember to buff before entering a boss fight? Maybe I'm taking in Cu Chulainn's battle junkie too much? This needs to be looked into, gaining the combat experience and styles of Heroic Spirits is good and all, but if I'm absorbing more than their memories and combat experience this could be bad. That A.I. was a lot better at fighting Melee then any other NPCs almost like fighting myself, the Dev's are probably using data gained from my own movements. The Boss was weaker than the other World Enemies, probably to make this fair… Weak but Skilled? Could still totally body a level 80 player in stats alone'
Looking ahead at the second Door in front him, Yazata could help to laugh as it opened after his moment of thought came to end, one boss after another? As it would turn out there was a break after the Fifth room, Thankfully as Yazata almost died from Azrael, the Fifth Boss, whose stats were far higher, and far more skills then the past four bosses, not to mention the many, many instant death spells thrown around.
"How the HELL did you solo TEN FLIPPING WORLD ENEMIES YAZATA!? If we didn't have an Anti-Cheat system that hasn't failed once I would be calling hacks… so how in god's name is someone like you so freaking skilled in Melee combat that it makes the non-existent hackers cry tears of envy?" asked Henry the totally-not-CEO and lead developer who totally doesn't stalk the top players.
"I don't know, I'm just Talented in many fields, you've seen me teach the less fortunate members of my guild. Learning just comes natural to me, and you learn to fight. By the way, what's with the bosses? Even if their stats are the lowest out of any World Enemy, I doubt less than a three whole guild alliance together could do this in one go." Yazata said not even surprised that Henry was watching the whole time, though he idly wonders why both Calvin and Henry had Western names despite living in Japan.
"They weren't supposed to do it that way, if you died after completing a boss fight the cleared room's doors stayed open, you on the other hand only took a small break to get back to a hundred then buff up. Anyways I'm here to give you your World Class Item level reward… Oh and a small Gift" a small pause followed Henry saying that then a DING was heard around the whole room.
Soon a Pile of Gold Coins, probably around 4 Million, three hundred Data Crystals all of Divine Quality, Weapons mainly made up of the Sword, Spear, and Knives with a few exceptions, and finally Items and Ore, quantity second only to the Gold Coins, but Quality items nonetheless.
"What's the Gift and where's the WCI? I don't see it anywhere." Yazata said slightly annoyed
"It's Racial Levels and should be here… ah! it's under the world map, let me teleport it up... And done! Excalibur, beautiful isn't she? I don't remember designing her, but I woke up with the model finished and a hangover with my old man's friend Zelretch. I don't remember when this model was made but before the Alpha was in its infancy. Fun man, convinced me to get into game design, gave me some super advanced programming books as a birthday gift, to be honest? I don't fully understand them, but there the reason why YGGDRASIL is so advanced compared to the other games on the market." Henry said as if not even unknowingly dropping a bombshell on Yazata.
"Zelretch you say? Old man, Tall, Grey hair with a full beard, weird red eyes and has a weird aura like he's there and not there, while being everywhere at once?" Yazata asked in a slight tone of worry, though not enough to draw Henry's notice.
"Yea exactly like that- you know him too? Wait a minute where the usual snark? Why aren't you mocking my near perfect game for a single flaw that Hitoshi is totally going to get fixing when I'm done here- wait, I'm going off topic. So you know him?" Henry quickly says, not noticing his dropping Excalibur underneath the map.
"Kinda? I've never met him before but Cal- my Dad knew him, and I'm kinda sorta his grandson… great grandson? I don't really know but he was very close with my Mom, like father or grandfather close." Quickly lying Yazata hopes Henry didn't notice his sole weakness, the thing he is talent-less in… Lying, but as it turned out he was too focused on making Excalibur not fall through the fool.
"That's a really cool, small world eh? also just put this in your inventory and take it out when you're at Nazarick's treasury, I'll have it fixed by then and have Hitoshi work on a Giant boss that's giving us Devs trouble as punishment." Soon after that world Henry totally disappears, most likely teleporting to a Dev Room.
'Well crap I hope Arcueid Brunestud kills me for calling her mom… wait a minute, do I have a Marble Phantasm? Like both She and her Dad have one, and I'm part True Ancestor. This needs to be looked into along with absorbing more than memories and combat experience from various heroic spirits I'm using. So much to do and think about…. should I steal Momonga's harem? Do I add Clementine she's pretty hot in the crazy yandere way, should I alter her mind or keep it? Hmm... yep I'm stealing Momonga's Harem, right before the end I'll edit the Data of every female NPC… and Mare to say "Romantically Loves Yazata'' besides that I want a NPC of my own, who should I add…'

Author Notes:
Hello I'm the Author (Duh) I really like reading and have tried writing a few times just to look at those works and feel "BURN IT WITH HOLY HELL FIRE!" Now here's some reasons for answer I'll get:
Why Do all the Job class skills (except WCoM and Beyond Genius) have Genius? well my dear reader, Yazata has a Talent like non-other, he has the best traits of the strongest species to ever roam the world, that gave him the Beyond Genius Job class which is basically the Genius job class on steroids.
Is Henry a Magus? nope, his father was, his gift from Zelretch was research, the day Zelretch visted just so happen Herny's birthday, Henry though does have knowledge of the Supernatural and many Items and NPCs are based off of said knowledge
Is Zelretch to blame for Yazata's rebirth? Nope, due to a fusion of Yazata's Origin and mental fortitude he remained sane enough that once reborn he could piece together his memories, though without the alterations to his body and mind the memories would of been far weaker, i decided to scrap that idea
How talented is Calvin, Yazata's creator? if he was born into the Age of Gods he would of been Grand Caster, and had the title God of Magic
If Calvin was so talented how did the Counter Force detect him? well Ayala had more resources to spare seeing how Mages numbered in the hundred to focus on all of them, once it detected Calvin was weakened from his ritual, it blitzkrieged pass all his (Impressive) bounded fields
What Happened to Calvin's Corpse? cremated via Magic.
Why wasn't anyone noticing the ruckus Counter Force was making. a few reason, humanity is two populated that wiping a city off the map could cause the embers of the Arcology war could reignite causing global nuclear death, Calvin once again was a man born in the wrong era, dampening the noise and rumbling of the building to near-zero, and the building was Massive, as in Private skyscraper big.
Has Yazata gone outside his building? no, it is fully self sustaining, the only parts that would need to be replaced after a thousand years have magical equivalents, so you have enough time to get replacements
Is Yazata OP? yes, he's gone fully for the Magus mind set of no cost to great. he will keep the mindset, but it's solely for research, so he won't experiment on a hobo for sadistic pleasure, but if it's for knowledge he'll do so. that flows into his play style, he's used magecraft to look into the code to get the strongest build possible when he goes to the new world
Is Yazata going to bring about the Second Age of Gods despite going to the New World? yes, right before he goes to the new world he'll set up a timed spell that will start the second age of gods. he also has a backup plan if he doesn't go the the new world and is instead stuck on earth.
Will Yazata become a Magician? yes, I'm planning on a Arc where he goes to Earth again.
I may of missed some Questions, but I have a Question to you! who should Yazata create as his NPC I've been thinking Hex Maniac, a Voodo Witch/Necromancer Floor Guardian, any suggestions?
