It was the day Andrews was gonna announce Chief of Surgery, betting pool was about to close as Lim puts a hundred dollar bill in. Both Melendez and Lim knew that they themselves earned the title. "Hello everybody." Andrews said as he walked in. Lim and Melendez glance at each other as they knew the name Andrews was going to say. "I can't be prouder of all of you. We have grown into a preeminent surgical department, that has been recognized with the official designation of Surgical Center of Excellence." Both Lim and Melendez smile.

"Now more important than ever that we maintain our high standards. And so while there are many worthy candidates, I've decided…" Melendez nods as Lim smirks.

"To retain the title myself." Those words shocked the two. They both froze. The room clapping. As Andrews walked out, Shaun out of nowhere says "Yes!" Park, Morgan, and Claire all chuckle as Shaun won the betting pool. They both looked at each other, clearly irritated, they knew damn well they're gonna go to Crowley's that night.

Hours later, Neil's sitting at their usual spot like always, drinking bourbon, when Audrey comes in sits down and waves the bartender bourbon for two.

Neil faces her as he takes a sip of the bourbon. "I was never gonna confront Andrews, I was playing you. But damn if you didn't actually make it work." said Lim.

"It didn't work for anybody, he played us both, he set us against each other.." Melendez said.

Audrey raised her eyebrows with a small smirk as she takes a sip. "I think you were right. Even if you were just bluffing, we need to stand together." Neil added.

"Where was that wisdom two days ago?" Audrey asked. Neil smiles and looks at the glass, "Still in the bottle." Audrey scoffed and for the rest of the night they kept ordering more drinks leading to the pair drunk and unable to drive.

Audrey, clearly inebriated and unable to make decisions clearly told Neil they should hang out at his apartment for the rest of the night.

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Neil responded, also unable to make decision clearly.

After minutes of convincing Neil nothing bad would happen, she called an Uber to Neil's place.

When they got there, Neil asked if she wanted beer as he flopped on the couch, telling Audrey that it's in the fridge and should grab him one too.

While Neil was channel surfing looking for something interesting they can both watch, Audrey comes back with the beer and hands him one. "Why can't we just watch a Marvel movie like we always do in residency?" asked drunk Lim.

Neil didn't answer her at first. Audrey was confused and didn't know what to do, so she looked at him and just saw how attractive he is. She didn't hesitate and smashed her lips against his as he returned the sentiment. The make-out session went on for a few minutes as Audrey pointed to the stairs. Neil quickly scooped up Lim, and went up the stairs as fast as he could, kissing Lim as she takes off her dress shirt and tossing it down the stairs. When they got to Neil's room, he quickly tore off his dress shirt and throws it across the room with both of their slacks.

As Neil kisses her neck he whispers how beautiful she is. She quickly smashed her lips against his telling him to be quiet. "Stop saying that." she said.

They continued for hours as they found themselves exhausted and tangled into each other's limbs.

"Damn, your good." said Melendez.

"Not so bad yourself Melendez." added Lim.

The night ended there as they both said their good nights and fell asleep.
