Prologue

It was a historical moment, for those in the mythological world anyway. To the mortal world, it was just another baby entering the world. However, the birth of the child held many different meanings to many different groups of people. The reason for all this interest would be the child's parents, mainly his father. The two had done the impossible, defeating not one but two ancient deities and surviving the place where even the gods don't venture to travel. These accomplishments were done as a group, but its safe to say the boy's father had done a great deal of heroic deeds all by himself. He was considered the greatest hero of all by all the pantheons as he was the bridge, aiding in the defeat of many who dared to disturb the peace. Not only did he accomplish all these and more, he did not let it get to his head. That's what made him the greatest hero, unlike those who came before him. The child himself was a reason for peace, a cause of destruction, and in the Fates' eyes, the savior of them all. "He will follow in his father's footsteps. The child will continue his father's work and bring respect and honor to the demigods and legacies from the gods. Without him, the world will be thrown into chaos.

"He can save the world." "He will be the hero."

AN: Hi there. If you're reading this, thank you so much for giving this story a chance. I'd like to give a shout out to my best friend who is my co-author and the person keeping me from going on a writing rampage. This is my first fanfic, so reviews and constructive criticism is appreciated. No flames though!
