Percy POV
Percy remembered all the times he had with his friends, his family, and the gods. Which is strange, considering that he has a terrible memory.
He was 90 years old now in a nursing home, with Annabeth at his side.
They both had wonderful lives and were the last two alive since the days of the Argo II.
They had raised their children well and their children had children, and their children had children and on, and on, and on.
The latest generation of the Jackson family so far consisted of Percy and Annabeth's great grandchildren. He and Annabeth were luck to live that long.
Annabeth woke up on the bed next to him, and he looked over.
"Afternoon" he said.
Her grey eyes widened, "I've been asleep for that long?"
"You needed the rest, you know we're about the age of leaving to Elysium"
He could see the comfort in her eyes, she was glad he hadn't said dying.
"You think both Camps will be fine without us?" Annabeth asked timidly.
"They will, stop worrying" Percy said with a laugh.
Even now at their old age, Annabeth still worried. Which was ok until she worried too much and fell asleep.
Percy ran his fingers through his greyed hair. It still was messy and contained some hints of raven black in it.
Annabeth's had greyed as well but still had golden locks around the edges.
The grey hair they had from holding up the sky had turned completely white like snow.
Their grandchildren had teased them about their hair saying, "Grey is for your age, black and gold is for your youth, and white is for your days in Elysium!"
The entire Jackson bloodline will continue to know about the gods for, hopefully, forever.
Knowing that he fell asleep peacefully.
-A few weeks later-
Percy knew that he was dying, he also knew Annabeth was dying.
He knew this was the best way to go, he had truly lived up to his namesake "Perseus" with a life with no tragic end.
He was awake and holding a sleeping Annabeth's hand while talking to his children and to Chiron, who was their doctor for and wanted to see them leave.
His children were crying as he told Chiron that he wanted to pass in his sleep.
Chiron nodded and agreed. He injected Percy and Annabeth with a liquid that allowed them to sleep for a long time.
He and his mentor knew they wouldn't last that long but at least it was peace.
Chiron promised their burial and shrouds to be the best the old centaur had ever seen.
He told his children that he and Annabeth loved them, while their children wished them well in Elysium.
He closed his eyes and fell into one last dream.
He was sitting in one of the Argo II reunion parties at the age of 17.
"I want to make a pact with all of you." Percy said.
They all looked at him with interest.
"Fine, I'll bite." Jason said, "What is it?"
"When we die and go to Elysium," Percy said, a hard thought to say out loud, "We'll meet up and promise to leave and rebirth."
They all knew that when a hero died it was immediately asked to that hero "Elysium" or "rebirth".
Hazel bit her lip, "But don't we have that choice at the beginning and can't change our mind later on?"
"Well that was my wish." Percy replied. They all were granted wishes after the end of the war with Gaea. Percy had asked for them to be able to choose Rebirth anytime they wanted in Elysium.
They all solemnly agreed and the party continued, and his dream shifted to a girl sitting on the porch of the Big House.
In this new vision Percy was twelve now.
The girl was Annabeth and was rocking back and forth in the rocking chair, and watching the Camp Half-Blood.
When she noticed him walking up the steps she ran to him and tackled him in a hug.
They laughed and Annabeth said finally, "We're dying Percy."
"But this is the best way to go, isn't it?" He replied, "Asleep and peaceful."
"I know Seaweed Brain, I know." He snickered at his nickname.
They talked for a while and the scene shifted again they were both 17, in a building that look strangely like the pavilion at Camp.
9 people approached them, Jason, Piper, Frank, Hazel, Leo, Nico, Reyna, Will Solace,
and Calypso. (Calypso lost immortality and died of age)
"Ready?" Jason asked.
"Out the way I'm leaving first!" Leo said impatiently.
"Hold your horses Leo." Piper and Calypso chided.
"Dad will walk us out" Nico muttered.
"Come on Nico, say it louder." Commanded Will.
Nico blushed furiously.
"Thanks for giving all of us a second chance." Reyna said boldly.
Hazel and Frank nodded in agreement.
"Well I guess I'm happy to allow it since my son is going with you." A voice said from behind them.
The god of the Underworld stepped out of the shadows.
