A/N this is a one shot for a series I will be doing called the trials of the three, here is a scene from it that was eating me up so much I had to write it, I don't own Percy Jackson, Rick Riordian does. :]

"Which cabin do you sleep in at the camp, which table do you eat at camp?" Apollo asked Thalia this question because the master bolt of Zeus did not respond the same way that the trident of my father had for me, or the bident of Hades had for Nico. Artemis looked down at the ground seemingly hurt, she knew that the God of prophecy was right.

"For this to work, you must break your vow Thalia." Artemis looked at her with a painful expression.

"You cannot complete this quest as a hunter." Artemis continued.

"There is no other way." She finished. Thalia looked at her lady with an expression that was a mixture of shock and sadness.

"But do not sorrow Thalia, you have not failed me, it just seems it was not meant for you to be with me." She looked down at the ground with a hurt expression.

"Surely there must be another way." I desperately asked Artemis, not wanting Thalia to have to break her sacred oath, Ironic since I had tried everything to try to get Bianca not to take the oath.

Artemis looked at me and shook her head.

"What must I do?" Thalia looked at Artemis.

"You must break your vow, by falling in battle or falling for men." Artemis looked at me and then her.

"And how do I do that?" she said in a minor panic, like she didn't want to know the answer. I was in equal panic as there were only Me, Nico, and Grover as candidates and I was the most obvious choice.

"The easiest way is with…" she paused and looked down with her eyes shut tight.

"A kiss." She finished. Thalia looked down at the ground and I spoke up.

"Can't you just remove the enchantment?" Artemis looked at me.

"I am afraid I cannot do that young Perseus, the hunters pledge themselves to me for eternity I cannot break that, they must."

Thalia looked up and towards Nico then towards me. I could feel myself blush as she slowly walked towards me with a sorrowful expression, she started fighting back tears as she slowly walked towards me. She shut her eyes and ran towards Annabeth. She looked up, a few tears now falling. I was genuinely shocked to see her cry, Thalia NEVER cried.

"Annabeth I." Her tears slowly falling. Annabeth shushed her with an equally saddened expression. She pulled Thalia into a hug, she held her and I turned towards Nico, he had a pale and sad expression as he stared at me, I didn't know why he was upset I was the one about to have to kiss Thalia, in front of every Olympian, including her father, and Artemis who both may want to kill me afterward. I looked back towards Thalia and Annabeth and they had parted from her hug. Thalia wiped the tears from her eyes as the two of them joined hands. Annabeth walked her towards me, the two of them now stood in front of me as Annabeth put Thalia's hands on mine and walked away. I looked at Thalia, she was however looking down at the ground. She finally looked up at me and spoke.

"Percy I understand If you don't." I cut her off to speak.

"hey hey, It's okay." I tried to figure out what to say and Aphrodite looked at me. She winked at me and I finally found the words.

"I wouldn't want you to do this with someone you didn't feel comfortable with." I honestly didn't know where those words came from but I assume Aphrodite was involved. Thalia's sorrowful expression faded as she locked eyes with me, her electric blue eyes shimmering in the light with a hint of silver. This was just as hard on me as it was her not to mention THE MOST AWKWARD THING I HAVE EVER DONE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!

She hugged me and I hugged her in response, trying to comfort her, I was about to take away the most important thing in her life from her and I didn't know what to do, I think she was trying to comfort me. As we parted I looked towards the Gods, Aphrodite looked like she was enjoying the whole thing, Zeus had a fixed glare at me but he nodded as he shut his eyes and looked down, and Artemis had looked away. She grabbed my hands and I closed mine around hers as she looked into my eyes.

She leaned in closer to me and slowly closed her eyes, I leaned in and closed mine and our lips met. As our lips touched I felt a fire in my chest, I felt comfort and confidence. I had always seen Thalia as a close friend, maybe a little more every now and then but now I genuinely didn't know how I felt about her. I let go of her hands and put them around her waist, and she put hers around my neck as we leaned closer together. We finally parted and I looked into her electric blue eyes, they seemed to shine a bit bluer now, I liked the change.

She let go of me and I her as she walked towards her father. He bestowed upon her his master bolt and electricity sparked all around her as her eyes glowed blue and just as quickly as it had happened it stopped and she stood holding the master bolt. She turned to face me and smiled lightly, I returned a smile. I turned towards Nico and saw he had tears welling, I was so confused why he was like that. He wiped them away and stepped towards me and Thalia.

"To killing Kronos!" I yelled as I pointed the trident of my father forward. Nico giggled and pointed the his fathers bident towards the trident. Thalia smirked at me and pointed the master bolt to our respected weapons. A shimmer of light came from the three of them as we held them.

"TO KRONOS!" the three of us held as we lifted them up and a beam of light shot up towards the roof and our quest began.
