It was summer again and Ben decided this year, he didn't want to go on his Grandpas road trip. Instead, he convinced his Mom, Dad, and with a lot of begging and pleading his Grandpa to be allowed to go to Jump City. but there were some conditions he would spend 1 week riding with his Grandpa then they would drop him off in Jump City till the end of summer. he also was not allowed to show who he was and couldn't share who he was with anyone unless he had complete faith in them. He would be staying in a 4-star hotel (curtsey of his grandpa) and was not allowed to leave it under any circumstance. The day today he arrived he stood awestruck. Compared to Bellwood this place was amazing. The tall buildings, the loud streets, the many stores it was going to be amazing. Plus with no active heroes, he should be able to show off a little. He said goodbye to his Grandpa and he hugged him "Don't get into too much danger and remember we got you a phone for a reason" then he gave him a box all it had was black and white gloves and a black mask "Incase you Time out you no one will know who you are" then he went to say goodbye to his cousin and then unexpectedly got a hug along with a perfectly round rock with purple runes

"Here you go, doofus, when you get over your head, if you have it on you then I should be there. It took me a couple of months to make don't waste it, I don't want to hang out with you more than I have to" during his first three days in four things happened. One he beat Robin as in sidekick to Batman with Cannonbolt but he got away. The next day he lost to him with Four Arms but Ben got away later at night Robin broke in (the hotel was no slouch on security.) He not only figured out that he was both aliens he tracked him down to his hotel, threatened him with reporting him and told him

"Stop playing hero." The next day after a couple of hours with Gray Matter Ben tracked him down and told him "I've saved the universe three times last year and the planet 17 times" when he didn't believe him he said, "Don't then just stop trying to fight me its one to one so let's leave it at that" Robin seeing how he acted while fighting was impressed with how mature he could be he said

"Hey kid if those are really aliens I might need to fight them and you need some training so let's make a deal" and so they agreed to train every Tuesday and Friday. The first time meeting Robin he wanted to give him a run for his money so he started with someone he should have some trouble with Stinkfly. Ben was heavily disappointed when Robin easily subdued him with a jump-off his Bo staff and got hit him in the thorax? chest? Ben didn't know whether to use bug or human terminology. They tried again this time he almost beat him no longer underestimating Robin but still lost to him as they began the third round Ben flashed red and became human and so they began hand to hand training To Robins surprise he was very fast for a child his age and seemed to have basic fighting skill. it was surprising how good he was at freestyle with no formal training he wasn't that good but not being able to predict your opponent's movements was useful in a fight which was surprising for someone who quote on quote had no formal training to be that good it's like he had been in life or death situations "So who taught you how to fight like that" Robin asked

"No one my Grandpa tried to teach me how to fight before he dropped me off but he mainly taught me things that complimented my style and some things on how to fight with my aliens," he said Robin grew tired of the boys lies

"THAT'S IT" he quickly composed himself "Until you tell me the truth training will end" Ben snapped back

"I am telling the truth why would I lie" Robin relented I will get the truth out of him he thought but that was for when he got a lie detector

"Fine let us continue training, while I doubt you would be able to use any single fighting style" Ben sent a glare "Due, to you having a wide variety of aliens and you having the potential to gain more I will instead teach you how to find openings in your opponents" Ben tried to hide it but he was a little apologetic and Robin notices If he's lying to me he must be not just an incredible lier but spy levels of lying Robin was beginning to have doubts but they went away I will prove he's lying Robin then began showing him the ways to see an opening and then spared with Ben and was surprised to see an incredible improvement he saw something that got him suspicious was that... my move this kid he has a photographic memory I could prove... Robin was so caught up with his thinking that he got nailed with a punch to the chin

"I'm so sorry I didn't..." Robin interrupted him

"Excellent work you caught a mistake in my blocking tell me how well did you do in school,"

Ben said "I got bad grades" Robin was surprised How the hell

"Why," he asked

"Well the classes were boring and I don't like sitting down" Robin realized Batman would have been lucky with this kid The watch recharged and so they began to fight again this time he went with Diamond Head and easily beat Robin. Robin told him to fight without destroying the ground and so he used blunted crystal shards and Robin refused to get in close. By the time Ben realized his plan he was already seeing the red flashes Robin started running in and Ben turned back he then promptly got hit in the head with his Bo staff and then got a kick in the chest

"Two things one you stay transformed for ten minutes on the dot and two you take four-fifths of a second to change and change back" they continued training for another hour and a half and then ended training on there next session as they were about to begin Ben looked disappointed and the Omnitrix as he found out it was named looked weird where there once was a neon green there was now a dark blue "As he was about to ask about it

Ben said "I'm sorry but the Omnitrix is out of commission,"

Robin asked "How"

Ben snapped "I don't know ok,"

Robin said "Well there are two things we can do the usual one hour of physical or we could just do physical training for the entire 2 hours" Ben Thought for a moment

"Well since I can't patrol today I would say one so you can patrol the city more and besides I need to talk with my Grandpa about this,

" Robin said "Ok then Let begin" they trained and parted ways

Ben saying "We really shouldn't train till I can use the Omnitrix,"

Robin asked "why is that,"

Ben said "Well with one Hero down the other one is going have to work extra hard. Don't worry though I will call you with any updates" A week later Robin a call
