Hello all Storm here with a new story! Well not really much to say other than I hope you all enjoy this new story. So, without further ado.

I own nothing

Sitting outside the Academy, ten-year-old Naruto Uzumaki watched sadly as the students who managed to graduate from the Academy be congratulated by their families.

Naruto, unfortunately, hadn't managed to pass, even after convincing the old man, the Sandaime Hokage, to let him try and take the Graduation Exam early. Having failed both the written exam and the practical exam, having been unable to perform the Clone Jutsu.

His mood wasn't helped as he heard some of the parents throwing glares in his direction and start whispering about him. Naruto didn't know why people seemed to hate him or ignore his existence. Only that they have, for as long as he could remember.

He's tried asking the old man if he knew why most of the villagers didn't like him, but he either didn't get a straight answer, or no answer at all. Eventually, Naruto just stopped asking, after realizing the old man wouldn't tell him the reason, just like he never told him about his parents.

Though Naruto didn't let it get to him, knowing that brooding over not knowing wouldn't solve anything for him.

"Naruto."

Naruto was pulled from his thoughts at hearing his name and looked to see his teacher Iruka Umino walking towards.

"Iruka-sensei?" Naruto said, confused as to why he was here.

Unlike the rest of the Academy teachers Naruto has dealt with, who either ignored him or removed him from class, for one reason or another. Iruka only got annoyed, whenever he saw Naruto goofing off, or not paying attention, leading to the blonde getting detention, or some other punishment.

"Here." Iruka said, pulling out several books, and handing them to Naruto, with the boy making a face, since he never enjoyed book-learning.

"What're these for?" Naruto asked, reluctantly taking them, since while he didn't like book-learning, this was one of the few times someone gave him something, and it wasn't a trick.

"They're Fūinjutsu books. Fūinjutsu, or Sealing Techniques, is a Ninja Art that isn't used by most, outside of sealing stuff away into Storage Scrolls. I figured it could be something you could try learning over the summer, until the Academy starts again." Said Iruka with a shrug, with Naruto still not looking very sure about it.

"I'm not sure, it doesn't really sound like something I'd be good at." Naruto said, along with preferring to learn strong Ninjutsu, rather than something like Fūinjutsu.

"Alright, but it's also known that the Yondaime Hokage was a Fūinjutsu Master." Iruka stated, making Naruto's head snap towards him shock.

"The Yondaime?" Said Naruto at the mention of his idol having learned Fūinjutsu.

"Yeah, but if don't them, I can take them back." Iruka said, with Naruto rapidly shaking his head and holding the books close.

"No, no, no! That won't be necessary, and I guess I could look them over, until the Academy starts again. Bye sensei!" Naruto said, before running out of the Academy yard, with Iruka watching him with a neutral expression.

What Naruto didn't know, was that the reason Fūinjutsu was one the less used Ninja Arts, due to the fact that it required a great amount of skill, concentration, and patience to learn. With not many having the time to learn it, and preferring to learn Nin, Gen, or Taijutsu, which didn't take as long to learn and master.

Iruka didn't tell Naruto this, as he knew the boy probably wouldn't have wanted to learn it, with how long it'd take to get just the basics down. He mostly gave Naruto the books, as a means for the blonde to try and learn some patience, along with hopefully starting to pay more attention in class.

While Iruka didn't really like Naruto, given he held the Kyūbi inside him, the same beast that killed his parents. He's still one of his students, so Iruka wanted to at least try and make an effort to get the Uzumaki to improve. Especially since he's going to be the boy's primary teacher, starting the next year.

Meanwhile, Naruto soon arrived back at his apartment, and opened up the "Fūinjutsu for Beginners" book, excited to learn something the Yondaime was a master of.

Though as Naruto started reading, his excitement began fading, being replaced with an actual interest in learning Fūinjutsu. Rather than wanting to learn it because someone else knew it. The more Naruto read, the more he wanted to learn it, because he wanted to.

Before Naruto knew it, he had already finished reading the first book, and began reading the second.

'I'm gonna need a lot of ink and paper.' Naruto thought, wanting to start learning Fūinjutsu as soon as possible.

*Timeskip-Six Months*

Six months have passed, since Naruto had started learning Fūinjutsu, with him having made surprising progress in learning the difficult Ninja Art.

After Naruto finished reading the books Iruka gave him, he had gone out and purchased plenty of ink, brushes, and blank scrolls to begin practicing Fūinjutsu. Though before Naruto started making actual seals, he had to practice his calligraphy, given all the books he read said that a single mistake in a seal, no matter how small it is, could have disastrous consequences.

So, for the first three weeks, Naruto practiced his calligraphy, until he was sure he could start working on seals, without worry of messing up. And Naruto had been surprised, when he found that he seemed to have a talent for making seals, being able to create a working Storage Scroll, after only a few failed attempts.

This lead to Naruto making more seals along, with even beginning to think of ideas to make his own.

And once the Academy started again, Naruto had eagerly shown Iruka everything he's learned about Fūinjutsu, along with some of the seals he's made, and a few of the ideas he's thought of, for potential seals.

Iruka had been shocked, when he saw that Naruto had actually made progress in learning Fūinjutsu, something he didn't expect the normal hyperactive blonde to do. Given how hard it was to learn, and Naruto wasn't exactly known for his patience.

What shocked him more, was when Naruto asked for more books on Fūinjutsu, along with other subjects such as Chakra Control, Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, and other beginner subjects taught at the Academy. Though while it surprised the Chūnin, it also pleased him to see Naruto now taking his studies seriously, and happily gave him the books he asked for.

Since then, Naruto has improved greatly at the Academy, now no longer being the deadlast, and was now in the middle of the class, thanks to the improvements he's made.

Naruto also learned that the reason he couldn't perform the Clone Jutsu, was due to the fact he had so much Chakra, and his Chakra Control was abysmal. This lead Naruto to focus a lot of his training on increasing his control as well, mastering the Leaf Exercise, Tree Walking, and is currently working on Water Walking, as well.

And while Naruto was sure he has improved in his skills and learning to where he was sure he could now finally pass the Graduation Exam. Even if he still couldn't perform the Clone Jutsu, he wanted to be safe, rather than sorry, given how most of the village still hates him, and one of the teachers might use that to screw him over.

So, Naruto tried thinking of a solution, where he would be able to perform the Clone Jutsu perfectly, without needing to get his Chakra Control to near perfection. With Naruto soon finding the answer he needed in Fūinjutsu.

The answer being one of the seal ideas Naruto came up with. With the seal being one that Naruto would place over his Tenketsu, that would act as a second Chakra Network for his Chakra to flow through. This way, he'd able to improve his Chakra Control by having more pathways for his Chakra to go through, allowing him to hopefully perform the Clone Jutsu, by not using so much Chakra.

Of course, there was a problem with Naruto's plan, in that he couldn't see his own Chakra Network, or Tenketsu, to put the seal on. If Naruto wanted the seal placed on him, he'd need either Sensor, or someone with a Dōjutsu that can see Chakra, like the Sharingan or Byakugan. Given if Naruto tried it himself, he might run the risk of damaging his Chakra Network.

The Sharingan was out, given how the Uchiha Massacre that happened a few years ago, resulted in the near extinction of the Uchiha Clan, with only Sasuke Uchiha surviving. With Sasuke also not having awakened his Sharingan yet, and even if he did, Naruto doubted he'd help him, given how they weren't on the best terms.

His other classmate, Ino, was likely a Sensor, with her Clans Mind-based Ninjutsu, but she probably wouldn't help him, either. As even with his improvements, she didn't have the best opinion of him, still seeing him as a blonde loudmouth.

Ironic, given Ino is a blonde loudmouth herself.

Naruto also couldn't ask Hinata, or that Neji kid, in the year ahead of him, for help, either. Since Hinata couldn't even speak a full sentence to him, without fainting, while Neji, like Ino, didn't have the best opinion of him either, seeing him as a failure, no matter his improvements.

And Naruto couldn't ask any of the more experienced Hyūga or Ninja, since he's not liked by most of the villagers, including the Ninja. Along with his own paranoia, that if they did agree to help, they'd likely screw him over, by messing up the seal to intentionally damage his Chakra Network.

Naruto guessed he could have asked either Iruka, or the Hokage, if they'd be able to do it. But he also wanted to prove he could solve his own problems, rather than running to his teacher or the Hokage for help, whenever he was stuck with something.

Currently, Naruto was walking through the training grounds, with a frown on his face, as he tried thinking of a way to place the seal on himself. So far, he hasn't gotten any ideas, and started thinking of alternate solutions to increase his Chakra Control, so he could perform the Clone Jutsu.

'Or maybe I'd be able to learn an alternate Clone Jutsu, like an elemental one.' Naruto thought, before sighing, as that'd mean having to learn a new, and potentially more difficult, Jutsu, that might not even work.

Suddenly, Naruto was pulled from his thoughts when he heard the sounds of someone training.

Curious of who it could be, Naruto followed the sound, until he reached a training ground, where saw someone attacking a log post.

The person was actually a kid, a couple years younger than him, around eight-years-old, with long dark brown hair, reaching the middle of her back, with long parted bangs and a lock of hair falling between her eyes. Her attire consisted of dark blue sandals, blue shorts, and a sleeveless, blue v-neck shirt, with mesh armour underneath.

Though her most unique feature, were her pupiless white eyes, with a lilac tint.

'A Hyūga?' Naruto thought, surprised to find a Hyūga training outside their Clan Compound.

But perhaps this could work for him. Now he'd just have to find a way to convince her to help with the seal.

"Come out, I can see you spying!" The Hyūga said, turning, and looking right at Naruto, with the veins around her eyes bulging, showing her Byakugan was activated.

Knowing he was found out, Naruto stepped out into the open, the Hyūga relaxing slightly at seeing it wasn't an enemy. Just the outcast her sister was obsessed with.

"I wasn't spying, I just heard the sound of someone training, so I came to see who it was, and found you." Naruto replied, with the girl making a "Tsk" sound, before turning back to the post she was hitting.

"Well now you've seen me and can leave now." She said dismissively, with Naruto frowning at this, not expecting that kind of attitude from a kid, not even one from a Ninja Clan.

"That's kind of rude, you could at least introduce yourself." Said Naruto, with the girl giving him a hard glare.

"My name is none of your concern, now leave." Retorted the Hyūga.

'What is with this kid?' Naruto thought.

Sure he knew that the Hyūga could be pretty stuck-up, he didn't think the kids would be like the adults.

"Alright I'll start. My names Naruto Uzumaki, nice to meet you, Chibi-chan." Naruto said, with the Hyūga freezing mid-strike, and glared at him.

"What did you just ca-" She shouted, before catching herself, and taking a breath, before giving Naruto a cold look.

"Don't call me that again, Uzumaki." She said, with Naruto smirking, since he could see now that she wasn't really stuck-up and was simply hiding her true feelings behind a mask.

'Just like me.' Naruto thought, frowning at that, wondering what made her act like this, rather than a normal kid.

"Well, what else am I supposed to call you? I don't know your name, Chibi-chan." Said Naruto, smiling in amusement, when the girl scowled at the nickname.

"My name is Hanabi Hyūga, Heiress of the Hyūga Clan." Hanabi introduced, saying the latter part with an undertone of bitterness.

"Well it's nice to meet you, Firecracker-chan." Naruto said, with Hanabi growling in anger at the new nickname, but refrained from reacting.

"You know my name, now leave me alone." Said Hanabi, wanting to be left alone.

"No, I don't think I will. Why are you here anyway training by yourself?" Naruto asked, given he'd expect that the heiress of the clan would have someone watching over her.

"That's none of your concern, now leave." Hanabi said, gritting her teeth that he wouldn't leave her alone, along with being reminded of the reason she was here.

Hanabi had been venting her frustration against her sister, Hinata, after the duel they had, that would decide which of them would be the Hyūga Clan Heiress. A duel that Hanabi had ended up winning, even though Hinata had a chance to end it, and remain the heiress.

'Instead, she didn't, and now I'm the heiress.' Hanabi thought angrily.

She had always looked up to and loved her sister, always wanting to spend time with her. Along with watching Hinata train, seeing how she could be strong and kind, it made Hanabi aspire to be like her. Leading her to start training on her own, while their father, Hiashi, trained Hinata.

Though over time, during a sparring matched between the two sisters, everyone saw how skilled Hanabi was, being on par with her sister, despite the age difference. Leading their grandfather to suggest that Hanabi should be trained as the Clan Heir.

All of it eventually leading to a duel between the sisters, with Hanabi being the winner and new heiress. Now only that, but now Hanabi was the one who had to endure their father's grueling training regimen, wanting to make Hanabi into the perfect heir.

It also broke the pedestal Hanabi had her sister on, since how can Hinata be strong, if she hesitates to strike an opponent, even if it's her own sister. Hanabi didn't hesitate, and yet Hinata did, now she has the responsibility to lead their clan in the future and refused to let them down.

This, however, resulted in Hanabi's personality being hardened, knowing this was the path set out for her, and she didn't have time to act like a foolish child.

But that didn't mean she didn't feel bitter and frustrated about it.

Eventually though, Hanabi was able to get some time away from her training and went to an empty training ground to vent her frustration, and to be alone. A plan, which is now ruined, with the boy that her sister always followed around, showing up.

"Are you still here? I said leave!" Said Hanabi, annoyed to see that Naruto hasn't left yet.

"Hey, relax Chibi-chan, I will. I just wanted to ask if you could help me with something." Naruto said, deciding to get to the point, even if he enjoyed getting a rise out of her.

"As if I'd waste my time helping a fool like you." Hanabi scoffed, not interested in helping him with whatever it is he needed.

This made Naruto frown, now getting upset, himself, that she wouldn't even hear what he had to say. Though rather than get angry about it, like he normally would have, Naruto went for a different strategy.

"Yeah, you're right. I'm sure it'd be too difficult for you, anyway. I'll leave you alone to continue playing, see ya, Firecracker-chan." Naruto said, before turning to leave.

"What?! I doubt anything you need help with would be difficult for me." Said Hanabi, feeling indignation that he'd dared think that she'd have difficulty with anything.

"No, no, it's fine. Besides, it'd probably just go right over your head, with how short you are, Chibi-chan." Naruto said, smirking, with Hanabi scowling at seeing he was still using those nicknames.

"Height has nothing to do with it! Now what did you need help with?!" Hanabi exclaimed, her pride now refusing to let him leave, until she proved him wrong, and showed that whatever he needed help wasn't difficult for her.

"I don't know, how do I know you won't just say no, after hearing me out?" Questioned Naruto, with the Hyūga girl growling at the continued back and forth.

"Tell me what you want or stop bothering me!" Hanabi shouted, her frustration finally shattering her cold exterior, letting her true personality out.

Though only for a moment, before she quickly recomposed herself, refusing to show such a weakness.

"Alright, how about this. A spar, me against you, right now. If I win, you have to help me with what I need, but if you win, I'll admit that you're superior, and be your servant for a month. How does that sound?" Naruto challenged, with Hanabi smirking at this, believing it'd be an easy win for her, along with the chance at making Naruto into her servant for a month, giving her the perfect chance to get back at him.

"I accept your challenge. Be prepared to lose, Uzumaki." Hanabi said, getting in her stance, while Naruto got in his own stance.

"Whatever you say, Firecracker-chan." Replied Naruto, smirking, while Hanabi growled at the nickname.

Without warning, Hanabi charged towards Naruto at a very impressive speed, with Naruto being momentarily surprised by it.

Thankfully, he was able to react in time to dodge, or deflect, her palm strikes, while not wanting to really hurt her. Though that didn't mean Naruto didn't attack as well, seeing that Hanabi was definitely more skilled than he had originally believed for someone her age.

"I gotta say Chibi-chan, you're better than I thought." Naruto remarked, sidestepping another palm strike, while hitting her in the back of the head with his elbow, making Hanabi stumble forward with a scowl, before seeing how close he was standing, and saw her chance.

"You haven't seen anything, yet! Because now you're within my range of division." Hanabi said, getting into her stance again, before she started striking Naruto's Tenketsu.

"Two Palms!"

"Four Palms!"

"Eight Palms!"

"Eight Trigrams Sixteen Palms!"

Hanabi finished the strikes with a palm thrust to Naruto's stomach, making the blonde skid back with a grunt of pain. The girl smirked, believing she had won the spar, only for Naruto to remain standing, and looked at her.

"Wow, that was pretty great. But you'll have to do a lot more than that, to take me out, Chibi-chan." Said Naruto, smirking, with Hanabi growling in anger that he just won't go down, and immediately rushed him.

But even with some of his Tenketsu closed, Naruto was still fast enough to dodge Hanabi's strikes, which only fueled the girls anger. With Naruto's next comment being what finally pushed her over the edge.

"Hey, you wanna take a break Firecracker-chan, you're looking kind of red. In fact, your face is pretty round too, and with it turning red like that, you're starting to look like a tomato. That's what I'll call you, Tomato-chan!" Naruto said with a teasing grin.

*Mindscape*

Minato couldn't help, but back away slowly from Kushina, as they were watching the spar. Knowing that their son had just said something that was considered forbidden to his redhead wife; even more tabooed than calling an Akimichi "Fat".

"I don't know if I should be furious at Naruto for saying that, or proud of him for getting under a Hyūga's skin like that." Kushina muttered, looking absolutely torn between chewing out her son in rage, even if he can't hear her, or laugh hysterically at what Naruto had managed to accomplish.

But one thing's for sure, if she was alive, he would be so grounded, regardless of what her reaction was.

*Training Ground*

Hearing this, Hanabi's eyes widened in anger, as her cold exterior finally shattered completely, before she lunged at Naruto, screaming in rage.

"I'm gonna beat your stupid face in!" Hanabi screamed, swearing to knock that smile right off his face.

'Got her.' Naruto thought, seeing that he finally got through to her, beneath that mask.

Though he also couldn't help but feel a cold shiver down his spine. Like he had just dodged a bullet but doesn't know why.

And seeing her jump at him, Naruto stepped to the side, and wrapped an arm around Hanabi, pulling her out of the air and against him, before holding a kunai against her throat.

"I believe this means I win." Naruto stated, as Hanabi's eyes widened in shock.

'I…I lost? I lost to this…this…AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!' Hanabi mentally screamed in frustration, at having lost to this frustrating and annoying blonde.

"So, you'll help me now?" Said Naruto, letting her go and putting his kunai away, with Hanabi nodding in defeat, as she was bound by her word.

"Yes, I'll help you. So what did you need help with?" Hanabi asked in resignation.

"Great, come on. I'll show you at my apartment." Naruto said, leaving the training ground, with Hanabi following behind him.

*Later*

After arriving at his apartment, Naruto told Hanabi what he needed her help with, along with showing her the seal he wanted to place over his Tenketsu.

Hanabi was shocked to hear that the deadlast of the Academy was studying a complex Ninja Art like Fūinjutsu, something even her father only knew the basics of. She was further shocked, and intrigued, to hear about the seal he wanted to place on his Tenketsu, and what the purpose of it was.

"Bu-but, how could you have thought of all this?! Everything I've heard about you, says that you're nothing special, and the deadlast of the Academy!" Hanabi said, not cruelly or maliciously, but because that's what she's heard about Naruto.

"Yeah, and most of this village is biased against me for some reason, which was passed onto their children as well. So yeah, they would brush me off as nothing special. And yeah, I was the deadlast of the Academy last year, now I'm in the middle of the class." Naruto replied, surprising Hanabi again, that he went from being the deadlast to the middle of his class.

'How, how could he have gotten that good? He's supposed to be a deadlast, that was the path decided for him in life, and yet now he's the middle of his class. And all because he started learning Fūinjutsu, something that should have been far beyond his ability to learn.' Hanabi thought, amazed and confused at how Naruto was able to go beyond his destined path, and improve himself, along with learning a Ninja Art most professional Ninja couldn't understand.

"So, can you help me?" Naruto asked, not sure if this was actually too complicated, or difficult, for Hanabi to do.

"Yes, I can help you. But only on the condition that you start teaching me Fūinjutsu." Said Hanabi, wanting to learn Fūinjutsu herself, if it was capable of something, like creating a second Chakra Network.

"Uh, alright, I guess I can do that. But I don't think I'd be the best teacher, since I only just started learning it." Said Naruto, not sure he'd be the best choice to teach someone Fūinjutsu, when he only started learning it a couple months ago.

"I don't care, I want you to teach me." Hanabi said, crossing her arms stubbornly, with Naruto smiling at seeing how different she was acting, compared to when they first met, earlier.

"Alright, I'll teach Fūinjutsu, Chibi-chan." Replied Naruto.

"I said not to call me that!" Said Hanabi, scowling at the nickname.

"But it's such a fitting name, Firecracker-chan." Naruto said.

"Stop it!" Hanabi growled.

"Hey, your face is turning red again Tomato-chan!" Stated Naruto, grinning, despite once again feeling that chill down his spine.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" Hanabi screamed, before tackling Naruto to the ground.

Hanabi swore, she'll make him regret calling her those accursed nicknames, if it's the last thing she does!

So, what did you think, good. Yep Naruto has been given some Fūinjutsu by Iruka in order to learn some patience, only for him to surprisingly become quite skilled in the art in a short amount of time, even having created his own original seal. Not only that but it has lead to Naruto improving his other skills as well, putting him in the middle of his class in the Academy. Though Naruto still wants to be sure he'll graduate and develops a seal to give himself a second Chakra Network, but needs help to put it on, luckily he finds the perfect help in Hanabi. With Naruto in turn also helping break the cold exterior Hanabi has started developing and bring out her real personality (along with dodging a serious bullet for the Tomato-chan nickname). Finally we see Hanabi has agreed to help Naruto with his seal on the condition he teaches her Fūinjutsu. So, review if you liked go away if you didn't.
