Ch 39 Battle at the Lake

"Gorgon," Mashu said as Hermione look at her.

"Gorgon? As in…heh, Medusa the monster of the Shapeless Isle? The killer of Heroes? The one who devours her sisters?" Hermione chuckles. "That Medusa?"

"Yes, it is the monster that became Medusa's future," Sigurd said calmly as the mermaids use their spears to attack the monster.

"Pathetic; die. "Gorgon uses her hair as the snake's dove into where the mermaids were throwing spears at her were devoured in an instance. "Such a nuisance." She said as she stared down the Hydra.

"H-How is this possible? She was supposed to be dead, the stories told us that she was dead!" Remus said panicking as the werewolf in him is telling him to run as far away as possible from the monster.

"S-she's huge, no gigantic. Just how can she be this large?" Moody said as the fear builds up.

"W-W-We need to kill her; we need to prevent her from killing everyone here," Dumbledore said as he turns to the Servants looking calm. "Can't you all do something!?"

Holmes looked at the headmaster. "Mr. Dumbledore, seeing that Gorgon is here that means that master has called her to aid us," Holmes said as the wizards look at him.

"Are you daft!? That thing can't be here to help us, it will kill us all!" Fudge said franticly.

Charles gritted his teeth as he looks at the monster. "I was right, he is a Dark Wizard! Harry Pot-"

Pollux held her sword on his throat as she pushes it further pricking his neck causing a blood droplet to bleed out. "Refrain your insults to our master,"

"Why? There's proof that he is a Dark Wizard standing in the waters!" Charles said pointed to Gorgon.

Castor punches Charles as Lily steps back. "If you continue to whine human and not assist us then just stay on the ground a be quiet!" The second half of Dioscuri said to Charles as he rubs his cheeks.

Ginny steps back a bit before Mary holds her. "Relax, Gorgon will not attack you. She is following master's orders." The small woman said.

"Are you sure?" Ginny asked.

"Yes, if our plan is to succeed, we have to put our trust is Gorgon," Anne said.

"Wait a moment, from what you are saying that my son has a contract with that thing?" Lily said as she was grateful that James was inside being treated and not out here.

"Yes, master summoned her after the Battle at the Temple of Time to aid him in the preservation of humanity." Waver said. "That's why we're all here, to preserve humanity."

"Just what are you all?" Lily asked the Pseudo Servant.

"Y-Yes, what are you. Are you demons sent from hell? Or specters looking for places to haunt? What is your gain?" Fudge asked. "I demand to know as the minister!"

"Quit your babbling human, if you don't then I will kill you." Gorgon eyed the minister as he cowers away. "I only came to protect my master, for he is the only human I respect and care for."

Mashu looks at Hermione as she stayed silent then at Holmes. "I guess it can't be helped, the secret must come out sooner or later."

Mashu nodded as she turns to everyone. "Everyone, I will tell the truth."

"Truth of what Ms. Kyierlight?" Dumbledore asked her.

"The truth of Servants." She said as the heard the roar of the Hydra coming to attack as he lunches a few of his heads towards them.

"I will not let you!" the monster of the Shapeless Isle intersected the Hydra's head with her snake hair as it grabs the heads snapping its neck. The heads fell off as new ones grow in to replace them. "Damn you," she cursed.

"Maybe we should discuss this later, Mashu," Draco suggested as the mermaid's song grew louder.

"First, we have to deal with the mermaid's song it's powering the Hydra, but what should we do?" Tonks said as Gorgon attacks with beams from each head of the snakes.

"I have to agree, it seems the fishes are strengthening the Hydra," Gorgon said as she let out beams at the body stunning it for a moment as she wraps her hair around it. "I can only hold it for a while, whatever you are planning, make it quick I feel it trying to get free."

"Mermaid's song…" Mashu thinks for a plan as Fou taps her cheek.

"Fou, Fou!" Fou yelped for attention.

"Fou-san, what is it?" Mashu asked the Beast.

"Fou!" he points to Salieri as he stares the Hydra.

"Avenger?" Mashu said as an idea came to her mind.

"I take it you have the same idea as I did, Ms. Kyerilight?" Holmes as they look at her.

"What idea?" Sirius asked them.

Mashu walks up to the Man in Grey. "Avenger-san, we need you to use your Noble Phantasm!" She said to him.

"What can this man do?" Charles asked rudely. "It's not like he can play something that goes against the mermaids?"

"Yeah what can he do? Sing?" Ron snickers.

"Might I suggest you, SHUT UP!" Mordred shouted at them as she grabs Charles by the collar and brought him to her face. "YOU AREN'T FUCKING HELPING HERE SO GET!"

"Don't you dare talk to my son like-"

"Try it bitch, I will twist your arm just like that bastard you called a husband." She said grabbing her arms as she cowers away. "Tch, coward." She said throwing Charles on the ground.

Dumbledore looked at Holmes. "So what will…Avenger do to deal with the merpeople?" he asked as Salieri walks to the deck.

"Just watch and see," Salieri said as red and black mist morphs into an evil looking armor and a red piano appears before him. "The performance is about to start!" he said as he raised his hands as he slams on the keys (Insert FGO Dies Irae)

"I am death. I will kill all those beloved by God! Dio Santissimo Misericordia de Mi!"

The song was filled with hatred and despair that it radiates in the sky as the song overpowered the mermaid's song. The song was filled with rage that it causes the mermaids to attack each other in a fit of blind rage.

Hermione and Lily listen closely to the song as it sounded familiar to them. "That song, it's Dies Irae," Lily said as she looks at the Avenger playing.

Hermione stared as the name came to her. "That can't be, your Amadeus Wolfgang Mozart! The one wh-"

"Don't think he and I are the same, for I am the man who people say I killed that fool," he said. "The one who rivals him and his music, for I materialized in the Avenger Class cause of my hatred of him." He said as his music grew louder.

"The one who rivals him…IT CAN'T BE, YOU'RE-"Lily gasps at who this man is.

"Indeed witch, I am Antonio Salieri; the man in Grey!" he said as the music boomed causing the mermaids to cry in hatred.

Hermione stared at the musician as he plays a spiteful version of the Dies Irae as she can feel the pain from his music. "Lady Hermione try not to stare at Avenger. His song will cause any human or creatures to be devoured in hate and despair he experiences in life." Sigurd warns.

Ginny looks at Sigurd. "Then how come we aren't spiteful?" she asked.

"Indeed, I feel the hatred from Mr. Salieri's music and hasn't affected me," Dumbledore said. "There must be an explanation for this."

"Runes," The Dragon Slayer said. "I have placed a protective rune on the boat, so the effect of the music won't affect you all," Sigurd explains as he drew a protection rune in the air.

"Impressive, you must be skilled in rune making," Remus said as a beeping sound went off.

"What's that noise?" Moody asked as he covers his ears to drown out the annoying sound.

Luna look at the map of the lake as saw the blinking dot near the Hydra. "I found Lord Fujimaru! he's next to the Hydra." She shouts as Mashu and Holmes check it out.

Mashu sighs, "Senpai's alive." She said.

Holmes turns to Drake. "Rider, set course to his location!" The Advisor said to the Woman who brought down the Sun.

Drake nodded. "Men! Bring the anchor and prepare the canons! We're saving our master!" Drake said as the crew cheered as the ship took off.

The Hydra manages to slip one of its heads free as it saw the Golden Hind moving. It opens it's mouth as an energy blast was aimed right for them. "Damnit!" Gorgon said as her serpents caught the head it in their mouth.

The wizards wobble as the beams missed the Golden Hind just an inch away. "Make it quick Rider, I can feel it slipping from my grasps," Gorgon said as she uses more of her hair to restrain it.

"Go, Avenger!" Drake said as puts the Golden Hind on full throttle.

"So what's the plan on getting Ritsuka?" Sirius asked.

Mashu looks at the Alter Ego. "Meltryllis, I need you to retrieve Senpai from the water."

The Alter Ego smiles. "I would love to do that, but I can't get master, and protecting myself isn't easy." She said as Moody steps up.

"Tonks, Kingsley protect the Servant in getting Har-Ritsuka." He orders the two Aurors.

"Sure thing," Tonks said they cast the summoning charm. "Accio Broom!" they said as two broomsticks appeared.

"Tch, tacky," Meltryllis said as the ship made a sudden halt.

Draco looks up at Drake. "What's going on?" He asked the explorer.

"Too many mermaids, they're clustering around something," Drake said as Salieri plays louder.

"OOOOHHHHH!" almost half the mermaids fell victim to his song as some still clustering around the same place.

"It must be Ritsuka,"

"They are trying to get to him!" the twins said as the Alter Ego dove into the water as she skates on the water's surface.

"Go," Dumbledore said to the Auror mount their brooms and flew escorting Melt to where Ritsuka is.

"Bombarda!" Kingsley cast the spell causing a clear view on Ritsuka as he was being held by two mermaids unconscious.

"Get your filthy hands of my master!" Meltryllis skates over to him as she jumps slicing the two mermaid's heads clean off from their bodies. Meltryllis picked up Ritsuka and place him on her shoulders. "Let's get you out of here, master." She said as the mermaids blocked her way.

"Bombarda!" Tonks cleared a path for the Alter Ego's escape. "Now's your chance get going!" the young Auror said as Meltryllis skated back to the Golden Hind with her master.

Meltryllis jumps from the water and onto the ship. The Servants came over to him as Mashu checks his condition. "Saber-san, take Senpai to Berserker-san immediately," Mashu said.

Mordred picked him up carefully. "You got it," she said rushing to the Captain's quarters. James came out with a cast on his arm as Mordred shoves him out of her way. "Move it!" Mordred said to him.

James sneers at her. "Fuck you," he said as his eyes widen at the sight of Gorgon restraining a Hydra. "What in Merlin's name is going on?"

Lily and Dumbledore look at James as he made his way to them. "James, my boy let me explain the situation…" Dumbledore explained that the Order of the Phoenix and Chaldea forged a temporary alliance to battle the Hydra before them.

"So that what's going on?" He said as he hears the music. "And that man there playing the piano is blocking out the mermaid's song."

"Yes," Lily said as James scoff.

"It seems that you guys can handle it here," James said as he sat down on the deck.

Lily walks to him. "Just rest, dear," Lily said helping him in any way she can.

"Alright, things are going our way, Rider takes us back to safety!" Holmes said as Drake turns her ship around only to be stopped.

"What now?" Fudge asked as Daphne went to the side of the boat as these fish as creatures jump out of the water and onto the deck.

"AAAHHH!" Daphne screams at one that was trying to stab her with its sword when Anne summons her rifle and shot the creature in the head.

"Tch, I thought this was going to be easy." She said as more of them head straight for them. The wizards took out their wands and defend themselves.

Mary summoned her sword as she slices down the strange creatures as Anne did the finishing move by shooting their heads.

Lily covered Ron and Charles with her body to protect them when Castor threw his discus at it cutting it in half. "What the…"

Pollux went into a zigzag formation as she ran confusing the creatures on where to strike. "HAA!" She jumps up in the air as she came down stabbing one in the head before slashing the other two in the chest as their corpses fell on the deck.

"D-Dumbledore d-d-do something!" Fudge cried as Kingsley, Tonks, and Dumbledore walk backward to Avenger who is still playing.

The creatures laugh as the spells they cast on them is not effective. "W-What are these things?" Kingsley said as he continues casting spells at them.

"Don't know, just keep on sending spells at them!" Tonks said struggling a bit as one dodge and rushes to her with a jagged sword in hand. Tonks closes her eyes ready to meet her fate when Meltryllis fell upon it cutting the head.

"Un, Deux...Trois! Waltz étoile!" She said as jets of water slashes each one in the middle of the creature's bodies. She looks behind her at the wizards. "Stay behind me!" she shouts as she continues to fight.

Moody, Draco, Daphne, and the twins were casting spells at them as they huddle together. "Damn to hell, they keep on coming!" Moody said as he continues to cast spells.

"Never fear Rider's here!" Astolfo ran to them as he summons his lance as he uses the side to launch them off the ship and into the lake.

"Thank you, Rider," Draco said as he uses his wand to cast spells to the creatures.

"Np prob kid!" He smiles as he blocks an attack from the creature. He pushes him so he'll lose his footing and stab him in the abdomen. The crew soon join in the fight to fend off the creatures.

Hermione and Ginny were behind Sigurd as he threw his daggers at the creatures and slashes some that were close to his ward. "Lady Hermione, Lady Ginny are you alright?" he asked the two girls

"Yes, but what are they?" Hermione asked as she aims her wand at one of them and shot it.

"Don't know, we never encounter these creatures before," Sigurd said. "Our option is to get rid of these things." He said as he grabs the head of one and uses Gram thrusting it into the body.

"Right!" Ginny said as she cast spells at them.

Mashu, Gray, Waver, and Holmes are protecting the captain's quarters since their master is in there. "We can't hold out much longer," Mashu said as Gray used Add in his scythe form slashing away these creatures.

"Fou, Fou!" Fou agrees with Mashu.

"Agree, we have to break free!" Gray said as she transforms Add into a shield to block the sword and back to a scythe again to kill it.

"Mr. Velvet, I need you to get rid of the things that are holding the ship in place," Holmes said as he uses his cane as a sword knocking away the creatures.
Waver summons his fan and blew the creatures away. "Understood," he said as he ran to the end of the ship.

Drake is trying to get the ship to budge as she noticed Waver running to the edge. "What did, Ruler say? How can we get out of this situation?" She asked as Waver stood on the ledge looking down to see the same creatures holding the ship preventing it to leave.

"I see, they have superhuman strength." Waver said as he prepares his fan. "Rider, when my attack hits the water, I need you to push it!" he said as he thrust his arm with the fan as huge ice chunks fell from the sky and into the water causing the creatures to let go of the ship.

"Now!" Waver said as Drake puts the Golden Hind into full throttle. Waver looks at the Avenger as she struggles to keep the Hydra in line. "Avenger! You may use your Noble Phantasm!"

"Understood, Caster." She said as she began to unwrap the Hydra from her hold.

The Servants manage to get rid of the creatures of the Golden Hind as they sail a couple of meters away from Gorgon.

"W-What are we doing next to it? We should be escaping!" Fudge said as Gorgon opens her wings. (End Song)

"We're waiting for Gorgon to use her Noble Phantasm on the Hydra then we can finish it off," Holmes said.

The Hydra's attention was on Gorgon seeing she was the one who delays its attack on the wizards. "Your attention is on me." The monster of the Shapeless Isle said as she smirks. "Good, I can finally use my Noble Phantasm." She said as her eyes glowed and a magic circle appears before her.

"I shall curse you, as you cursed me."Gorgon's wings closed as her hair wraps around her entire body forming a pillar.

"Melt away. Pandemonium Cetus!" A black and red beam was released hurling towards the Hydra roared as it tries to use its own attack to counter the Noble Phantasm.

Gorgon used every once of magic energy she musters to defeat the monster. Her attack grew stronger as the determination of protecting her master drove her. The Noble Phantasm was able to push back the Hydra's attack as it contacted the monster turning it and everything around it to stone.

Gorgon smiles as she looks back at the Golden Hind. "Just what was that?"

"My Noble Phantasm, my strongest attack that utilizes my Mystic Eyes of Petrification." She said as her body glows.

"Wait,"

"What,"

"Is,"

"Happening to,"

"Her?" The twins asked as Gorgon look at her hands.

"It seems that I'm returning to Chaldea," she said as she looks at Mashu. "Mashu, give my master my regards and tell him I will see him back at Chaldea," Gorgon said as her body was engulfed in the golden light disappearing from the lake.

"I will, Gorgon-san," Mashu said as Dumbledore walks up to her.

"Ms. Kyierlight, now that the Hydra is defeated we-"

"No, it's not," A voice said as they turn to see Ritsuka walking to them with Mordred and Nightingale supporting him.

"Ritsuka you should rest," Hermione said as he smiles before walking to the Headmaster.

"Senpai, I can explain why the wiz-"Mashu stops as her Senpai held out his hand.

"I understand the situation, and I'm glad you made that decision." Ritsuka smiles. "That is what I will do." Mashu smiles as she looks proud of her actions.

"Mr. Pot-Fujimaru, what do you mean it's not defeated?" Fudge asked the Magus. "As you can see, it's now solid as a rock thanks to that mons-"

Ritsuka punches the minister in the face, Ritsuka stands before him. "Don't you dare call Gorgon a monster, she save your life." He said as he looks at the Hydra. "Be grateful."

Fudge struggles to get up as he glares at him.

"So, what do you mean it won't hold?" Sirius asked him.

"Hydras are considered a divine beast, and only a god weapon can kill one." He said as the statue began to crack.

"So it can break free any moment?" Lily asked as she saw the statue move trying to break free.

"Yes, luckily we have that weapon here," Ritsuka said as he looks at Gray. "Gray, you are allowed to use your Noble Phantasm." He said to the Assassin Servant.

Gray jumps as Add laughs. "HAHAHA, Come on Gray it's been a while since I was released!" the Scythe said.

"That Scythe can talk!" Hermione exclaims as Gray look at her mentor.

"Do it," Waver said as she nodded.

"Hai," she said as she walks to where her master is.

Ritsuka places his hand on Gray's shoulder. "By my order, destroy the Hydra." He said as the second command seal glows. Blue magic travels to her body as she looks at the Hydra.

"Understood."

"Gray"

"Rave,"

"Crave,"

"Deprave,"

"Grave…Me,"

As she said those words a golden light shines around her. Everyone look around them as the light was warm to the touch,

"This light, it feels warm," Sirius said as he looks at faint light.

"Pseudo-Personalities suspended." Add said. "Mana yield exceeds regulation, Second stage rescinded. "

"Mana what?" Hermione question as the Scythe turned to gold.

"Seal Thirteen…Decision Start." As Add said it thirteen gold light appears around her.

"Seal Thirteen? Is this another demon thing?" James questioned as he got up as a voice of Add and a woman can be heard by the wizards.

"THIS IS A BATTLE THAT WILL NOT HARM NO ELEMENTAL…APPROVED."

"THIS IS A BATTLE AGAINST ONE MIGHTIER THEN ONESELF…APPROVED."

"THIS IS A BATTLE TO LIVE…APPROVED"

"THIS IS A BATTLE THAT DOES NOT STAND AGAINST HUMANITY…APPROVED"

"THIS IS A BATTLE FOR TRUTH…APPROVED"

"What is this?" Dumbledore asked as the Scythe glowed brighter.

"Third stage restraints rescinded. "Add said as the Hydra Statue crumbles as it's roar can be heard again,

"It broke free!" Moody said as Gray held the Scythe in one hand.

"Grave for you," Gray said as she lifts the Scythe.

"What is she doing?" Fudge asked.

"Old Mystics. Exterminate sweet Mysteries!" she held the Scythe from the bottom as the thirteen lights start to revolve around her creating a beam of light that merges in the center of the Scythe creating a golden spear. "All will return to the void!" she said as the spear spirals around.

Dumbledore's eyes widen at the shape of the light as it spirals around. "It cannot be…" for all who knows the legends about the holy weapon will know what it looks like

Fudge, Tonks, Kingsley, Lily, Hermione, Ginny, Fred, George, Sirius, and Remus gasps at the sight before them. "That should only be in legends! How is it possible!" Lily exclaims

"What? What is it?!" Charles exclaims not knowing what that thing is,

"Lily, stop being in awe and tell us what it is?" James shouts as he, Charles, and Ron have no clue what the light is. The Hydra statue began to chip away as it is almost free.

"Sacred Lance…removing restraints!" Gray exclaims as she lowers and pulls back her arm ready to unleash the power of her lance. She stares at the Hydra as it still stuck in stone as she took in a deep breath.

"RHONGOMYNIAD!"

The lance of King Arthur was unleased at the Hydra as it was engulfed in the holy light as it blew a hole in the heart of the beast.
