I'm sorry guys, but I have bad news. I've decided to take a long-term break from writing Code X. The reason for that... actually, there are a few reasons.

Firstly, the process has become a bit more tedious than I had anticipated. Each chapter started feeling more like a chore than something fun. And that's not what I wanted.

Secondly, I originally did not want to do a sequel to Rallying Cry because I didn't know how to do that.

Going off of that, there is good news. I have decided to stop Code X, but I've also decided to start a new story. This one will follow Rallying Cry. It will focus on the repercussions of Lelouch's actions during the SAZ incident. I won't say what happens in this new story, just know that it will be heavily inspired by Jonathan Hickman's current X-Men run.

I'm already working on the first chapter, and it should be up this week (or today, if things go well).

But just so you guys don't think I'm an asshole, here is what I had written so far for chapter five:

The sun was only beginning to rise. The early morning chill was evident, as every person outside the mansion was wearing a hoodie. They all came out to train their powers. Though one person looked like he had already been put through the wringer.

"Lelouch? Are you ok?"

The young man didn't answer. He simply continued to stare into space with tired eyes. The amount of bags underneath them was explanation enough.

That's when Shaw came out.

"I hope everyone is rested. Because is the day we figure out what we're working with."

"How do we do that?"

Shaw smirked. "Since you asked Sean, you get to go first. Come here."

Sean, who was not expecting to be called upon. Fumbled his way before Shaw.

"Um, what do you want me to do?"

"Show me your power, Sean. Show me what it is that makes you one of us."

"Oh. I can try."

"That was interesting."

Lelouch scoffed as he and Cera walked the grounds. She had wanted to see more of the mansion, and Lelouch abided. Right now, they were exploring the gardens.

"If I'm to be completely honest, I'm surprised Sean didn't break something."

Cera's eyebrow raised. "Is that common here?"

"It was with me. Shaw didn't waste any time trying to get me to use my power. Once we knew what it was, training was all that mattered."

So yeah, the new story should be up soon. I apologize to anyone who wanted to see more of this. I'm sorry I wasn't able to keep going forward with it.

But just so you know, I'm not abandoning this. I said long-term break for a reason. I'll probably come back to this at some point when I have the right ideas and motivations for it. I'm just going to focus on something that I think will be a bit more exciting. So look out for that.

Anyway, please leave me your thoughts, and I will see you all next time.

Bye!
