Hi sorry for the wait, things got heated up where I live and then classes restarted so updates may be slower sorry about that

Please read and review

"Even if everything in this era had been called into service, I have a feeling that it would've ended here." I say this in a solemn yet somewhat grateful tone to the blue eyed boy as he just looks at me. Yes in the light reflected by the Chain of the Heavens which is restraining Tiamat I say that to him now. It is the end of Uruk, but it has been such an end that it is worthy of remembrance. The warriors of Uruk, they have fallened, consumed by those foul beasts or swept away by the mud that looks more like blood.

But if one soul survives this like I said before, if one soul lives to see the dawn after this night. Then we will have claimed victory and the age of gods will be at an end. The absolute demonic front will have ended and all will be in order. So now I make sure to thank Fujimaru and let him know that I am grateful "You are a foreigner. A foreign element in this period and a surplus. However, that very surplus was the thing that helped us face destruction we alone could not have overcome, and helped us make our final move!"

The gaze at the determination of Fujimaru intensifies, he can feel that I mean every word. I can also feel and hear the Chain of the Heavens beginning to give out against Tiamat. But the effort of my friend's successor was not in vain, every moment bought is a step towards victory. It won't be long before she is free once more so I take the time now to say "The time has come. I'm leaving everything in your hands now."

I say that with no small amount of pride as I gaze at Fujimaru and his white haired purple eyed companion. The two them both straighten up somewhat now as they nod and say in unison "Okay!"

I can't help but stifle a chuckle now as I smirk at the two of them. This body isn't going to last longer either, but this is not checkmate yet. I still have one ace left to play and Tiamat will know the taste of defeat, until then Fujimaru, the future is in your hands!

"I refuse" is all that comes out of Jaune's mouth now as Gabriela attempts to feed some food and he turns his head to the side in defiance. There was only so much he was going to take of being treated like an invalid before he could bear no more. It had been a week and he was already sick of this entire affair, a shame that his body cannot simply heal faster and he be out there rather than in her and trapped to the almost non existent mercies of his mother and sisters.

Saphron had come by each day to force feed him and apple which just turned his gears so badly. There was fussing over someone and then there was her, who was clearly getting a kick out of doing this to him. For once he was vulnerable and like a she wolf hunting for her pups, Saphron had pounced upon him and no doubt gloated to his mother and six other sisters. Because now they were taking turns at this god awful routine and it just so happened that his mother wanted in on this action and had scheduled a day in for herself. Due to the fact that Jasamine respected Jaune enough not to inflict such an indignity upon her elder brother.

"But Jaune, don't defy your own mother. You're my flesh and blood and I wish to see you get better really soon so please eat up and get better soon!" Jaune's mother whined at him now as he kept his mouth shut in defiance. Jaune's eyes narrows at her now as he saw that while she held no malice in her, she also wanted to just 'fuss over him'.

While the attention of course is welcome such attention that insults his dignity is not so Jaune refused to yield now as his Mother sighed and said in an attempt to blackmail him "But Jaune you let Saphron and the others feed you, why not your own mother? Surely I have more right than any of them to feed my darling baby boy, don't I?

Now there was nothing wrong with that statement except for one little thing. He had not let Saphron feed him, she had tricked him into it. This miscommunication could not stand and so Jaune opened his mouth and responded to display any misunderstanding that was going on. "I did not willingly let Saphron feed me I was-!"

Like a striking serpent, Gabriela Arc struck sticking the spoon full of porridge into Jaune's Mother and smiling down in a motherly manner at him. To Jaune it was the smile of an evil witch who had deceived him, using his own hubris against him in order to trick him into opening his mouth and taking in whatever foul concoction she had made. Of course the porridge itself was nothing foul or untasteful. In fact it was sweet, light and just the way Jaune liked it.

Which was the way Gabriela normally made it for him, after all he was aware at least that she cooked such things to his taste rather than his sisters. Still he made a face in defiance and refused to swallow the porridge now as he narrowed his eyes at his mother in betrayal. How could she have used such a deceitful method to get past him, but then again how could she not, when outmatched cheat was the way of life here and Jaune knew he had them all outmatched.

But now came the more dark side of his mother, the lady who did not take well to someone wasting her cooking. The lady they claim was finally able to get his father Micheal Arc to slow down and then settle down. Yes the look of a mother disapproving of her child's bad behavior and adopting the fitting tone as she said "Now now Jaune, there is no need for that. You're a good boy who always eats what his mother gives him aren't you Jaune? Aren't you?"

Now Jaune had come to the crossroads, he could hold his position and stand in defiance despite the obvious disadvantage he was at. Which may or may not cause some serious repercussions here and now and no doubt for his entire stay here while such repercussions can be inflicted upon them.

Or he could give a concession now and lose this battle but keep the war still going. As long as he was able to resist someone during this time it would be his victory and he had to pick and choose his battles wisely. His Mother is not person to pick that battle against because he may just lose it and suffer the consequences for defying her. So for now he bided his time and took in a deep breath before chewing the porridge he had been given.

Of course he still gave that defiant look, he had conceded the battle not the way, which should be enough to distract his mother from the scowl he was giving her as he did this. She in turn just smiled and patted him with her free hand saying "Ah there Jaune, you're a good boy."

Being a 'good boy' at least for his mother clearly meant letting her treat him like an infant or an invalid. But what did he have up his sleeve in that dream? What was it that he felt confident enough to leave it up to that Fujimaru and the white haired girl at least for some time?

But all thoughts about that were erased now as a stern voice spoke out saying or rather commanding "Gabriela, stop this instant, Jaune is growing into a young man and doesn't need you fussing over him like he's an invalid."

Jaune knew that voice anywhere, it was the only Aunt of his or rather the only sister his mother had who was not married. A stern lady who took her job as a Huntress seriously. Such dedication is something Jaune commended her on, something which his mother did not. She arched an eyebrow at her younger sister and asked "Glynda you came here, I was not expecting you to arrive for a while yet?"

Glynda tossed her hair back showing her elder sister she was unamused and replied "I took leave and came, now stop trying to spoon feed your son and take a step back. He is clearly upset about being forced to eat like that."

Jaune's mother pouted at her little sister bossing her around. But she did comply with her little sister. For Jaune his Aunt Glynda had come just in the nick of time, just when he thought he was being force fed the bitterness of defeat she arrived. Talk about snatching victory from the jaws of defeat, Jaune acknowledged her for this saying "Thank you Aunt Glynda."

She gave him as stiff nod before turning her attention back to her sister and saying "I do believe we have some catching up to do Gabriela, things that Jaune doesn't need to here" then taking hold of Gabriela's arm, Glynda pulled her to her feet and then out of the room.

While it was not his to question why he did not need to hear it, Jaune had to restrain himself from pointing out that while there are things that he doesn't need to hear. If it pertains to the situation he was in, he does need to hear it. But the door closed and he was left alone again, perhaps while they were gone he could test what his physical limits were, just how much had he recovered and how much longer was it going to take for him to recover.

He had called upon the axe that this King Gilgamesh had used or rather as he knew it, that he had used. Which meant perhaps he could call upon and draw out other things from that. While it may seem mad, if the axe was real then more things had to be as well, which means that vault or rather he thought to call it treasury could possibly contain an artifact or treasure which could expedite his healing process?

Actually the more he thinks about it, the more mad it sounds and the more unreasonable and stupid it seems. But then again so was fighting the grimm and he pulled that off. That's even not bringing up the fact that he pulled an item he had seen only in his strange dreams and made it real. So as they say, the difference between genius and madness is success.

"So what was it that you didn't want Jaune to hear Glynda? It is not like you to call me out there in front of him like that?" Gabriela asked her younger sister with a smile upon her lips that promised pain and suffering if the reason why she called her out was not acceptable to her.

Glynda however was not intimidated by her elder sister and instead cleared her throat before saying "Gabriela, while it is alright to love your son and yes he did something very stupid before. He is a growing young man, you cannot smother him. Doing so will stunt his growth, I know you love him the most even if you deny it, a favourite child is like a favourite sibling, you certainly have one you just can't say who it is."

Gabriela did not seem impressed by those words, but she waited patiently for Glynda to continue because she knew her youngest sister still had more to say. Then again with Glynda she always had more to say when it came to raising her children, even though she had none of her own.

For her part, Glynda went on to say "As you know Jaune has always been odd, I don't care what you call it, he has always been odd. A baby who did not cry when he was born and had this expectant look on his face. As he grew up he had an attitude that one would not associate with a child, even a spoiled brat who doesn't know their limits is not the same as him. Jaune was different, he was expectant, but he was also capable, very capable as you and I both know."

"Okay Glynda cut to the chase, what is this all about, why are you here blubbering to me about my son? I am just trying to look after my son? Is there anything wrong with that?" Gabriela asked her sister a little indignantly.

She was pretty sure Glynda was jealous of her, because first she was the eldest sister and second because she had a happy family life and a loving and cool husband. Glynda to her knowledge was still single and hitting the holiday cake range where she might never go. But she wasn't petty enough or angry enough to bring that up to Glynda right now.

But unknown to Gabriela, Glynda now pulled out the big guns as she said "There is nothing wrong with that, but you've set a bad example for your daughters. All of them bar little Jasmine and Julia try to do as you do, all of them! Have you ever asked them why the older ones don't have boyfriends or girlfriends?!"

This silenced Gabriela, she had in fact never asked any of her older children why they never had any boyfriends or girlfriends. That and on the odd chance if they did why they didn't last so long? But she had a feeling now that Glynda was going to tell her and indeed Glynda did saying "Do you know why, because they've told me all at different times and do you know the reason why they don't have or stay very long in relationships because they told me and what said is that they want their boyfriends to be like Jaune?"

Now at least when she heard that Gabriela didn't comprehend why that was a bad idea. They live with their brother, so of course they can't accept someone of lesser standing. And she voiced her objection to the idea this was a bad thing by saying "I don't see the problem with that. Jaune is a good boy and is going to grow into a great man. It's a good thing that my daughters have such high standards. Why would they accept anyone who is less than their little brother?"

"News flash Gabriela, Jaune at his worst is a Self Obsessed, Vindictive, Arrogant, Unapologetic, Entitled, Preening, Scheming, Brash, Megalomaniac. Yes Jaune has an abundance of good qualities that make up for it, somewhat. But do you really want your daughters going after guys who strongly display those nine negative traits?" Yes Glynda wasn't sugarcoating it, Jaune had many bad qualities that are problematic and then there was Jaune's who had all nine and took each one beyond the logical extreme!" Glynda's voice had grown slightly raised as she ranted at her elder sister, who despite her best efforts still didn't seem to understand her point.

"What, no, Jaune's not like that at all, Jaune is a sweet obedient although tries to rebel, he's a good boy at heart." Still confused about Glynda saying such rude things about her only boy.

Glynda sighed and resisted the urge to slap her forehead against the palm of her hand. She also had to resist the urge to slap her sister across the face. All six of her sisters had always been like this when it came to their children, they can see the flaws privately when they are alone. But cannot possibly reconcile such flaws if someone else pointed it out to them. Now gritting her teeth in frustration at her sister's behavior, Glynda said "Jaune is many things Gabriela. A good boy is certainly not one of them."

"Careful Miss Career, I'll have to buy you a cat if you keep up with this!" Gabriela's tone stopped being confused now and got more dangerous. Her gaze more angry now that Glynda, Gabriela's eyes narrowed eyeing her sister like one could eye a potential enemy. Glynda though held her sister's stare, she refused to be intimidated by her big sister.

Some poor members of the hospital staff happened upon this stare off between Glynda and Gabriela, they did the only thing they could. They turned around and bolt and began to issue Code Black because those two were ticking time bomb just waiting to go off and they sure as hell didn't want anyone to be around when it did.

"Is that supposed to be an insult, because I am quite proud of my achievements." Glynda said quite unhappy that Gabriela had brought that up. It was not that being single annoyed her, well it did maybe ten years ago. But her sisters rubbing it in her face whenever they got into an argument did annoy her.

Gabriela smirked now as she said "What always being number two, never being number one? Not in school, not at home, not at work and certainly not in your love life. Actually you weren't number two, you were more three or five was it? If I recall the first girl was somewhat of a bitch and her brother was pain in the ass, but the second girl had the prettiest eyes ever if you recall."

"All too well" Glynda was pissed, it was one thing to tell her she's single and mock her for that. Glynda could ignore being single, she had gotten over that phase. The dangerous tasks that are involved with being a hunter and the level of responsibility that comes with it was enough to help her keep her mind off such things.

But now Gabriela had gone and dug up some old wounds and they still stung and stung bitterly. Only one of her sisters could get under her skin like this, only one of them would go so low as well. If it had been a while since they had quarrel and even longer still since they had fought physically, but it seemed this was inevitable now.

The tension in the room was coming to a boiling point until a voice said "Gabby, Glynda, please stop this right now. This is childish and the two of you are in a hospital. Think of the patients who you are no doubt scaring to death, think of the staff who are trying to do their work and save lives. Think of the consequences of your actions that cannot be so easily undone. I'm not going to ask you what this was about or who started it or what was said and who did I am going to tell you, if you're going to act like children, I'm going to treat you like children."

Both sisters turned to look at the interloper who had interrupted them, it was Micheal and he did not look happy. This time he did not look tired either, he looked disappointed and in them. Sighing now deeply her shook his head like a parent who was disappointed in his children "Glynda you're a professor you should know better. Gabby, I know Glynda can say some harsh words but they come from a good place with your best interests at heart. Indeed what happened to 'Goodwitch Sisterly Love'? Because each time I see more than one of you together, a fight always breaks out."

"Indeed father is right for a change, what happened to Sibling love and peace. You never allow myself or my sisters to fight amongst ourselves. The fact I would be the final victor aside, you two cannot behave in such a base manner. Aunt Glynda and Mother, you two are supposed to set the example for us, well not I, I am perfect as I am. But examples for my sisters. You're supposed to show them that sisters are not supposed to fight, not justify them clawing each others eyes out." It of course was Jaune who said this and to their surprise was walking upright without any problem as if he was on a Sunday stroll just dressed in a hospital gown.

Glynda now pointed with her entire hand towards Jaune as she spoke to her sister saying "See what I am talking about Gabriela! Did you notice how he told us off, but repeated that he was better than everyone else! Tell me I am not the only one hearing it!"

Raising an eyebrow slightly Jaune said "I didn't repeat myself Aunt Glynda. I was just clarifying that no one needs to set an example for me. I set the example for everyone else. I am studious, I am smart, I am handsome beyond measure. I am great and I am clearly superior to all my cousins and my sisters. Not that I look down on them, but it is hard not to see the distance between us each time I look at them, it is hard being perfect after all."

Glynda's jaw just dropped, literally everything he said just then was about how great he was. Yes he was a classic megalomaniac. He has a superiority complex that would scare away even the most dire hard of Physiatrists. In those sentences he proved that he was Arrogant, Unapologetic, Vain, Entitled, Brash and Self Obsessed.

Micheal though was the first to respond and being the most reasonable in this hallway by far, he said "Jaune, what are you doing out of your room and what did the doctors give you to increase your 'delusional 8th grader syndrome'?"

"I am perfectly healthy now father and yes they gave me something quite good but it hasn't affected me at all. Unlike my sisters I have never suffered this supposed 8th Grader Syndrome and I am just who I am." Jaune stated this quite proudly puffing up his chest a little and in the afternoon light. To anyone stranger who saw him, they had to admit he looked quite magnificent and majestic in the afternoon light, which shone down and perfectly highlighted his features.

However for the entire of Jaune's life, Micheal had lived with him and been his father and so he saw something different. He saw Jaune doing what he usually does when he is around lots of people, which was to make an ass out of himself. And a right royal ass at that.

Gabriela just saw Jaune being Jaune, sure he was being a little bit silly but he has always been a little bit silly. To her, he was just being her adorable little boy. He was a good boy and he'd stop if she told him to, but sometimes it was more fun to watch his antics play out.

Glynda though saw it for what it was or rather closer to what it was. Someone who thought the world of himself and who possessed an unhealthy amount of self importance declaring he wasn't sick. Where could he have gotten this behaviour from, Micheal was always polite and shy when he was a young teen. And none of the Goodwitch sisters had ever been this delusional?

Shaking her head now Glynda said "Jaune go lie down again and stay in your bed, this is a discussion for adults."

"Adults, as in plural? Because I see only one adult here which is my father then there are two little bratty puppies pawing at each other and gnawing at each other with their toothless gums. You two need to go to your rooms and cool off and come back when you've thought about what you've done wrong." Jaune said this with a small hint of pleasure in his voice but a tone of authority as well.

Authority that he did not possess, but Glynda realized she was no longer angry, she was just unamused which might have been Jaune's plan. She was also embarrassed that she knew the person who was talking and grandstanding in a hospital robe.

"Wait, Jaune are you no longer injured that you can walk and talk and do this now?" Gabriela now asked a little confused that her son was walking around.

"Yes I am mother, here let me show you my wounds have-!" Before Jaune could lift up his hospital gown, Glynda and pulled out her riding crop and with the help of her semblance had pinned the hospital gown to Jaune's body.

"I will not see a repeat of the Swimming Pool Family Reunion, Jaune. There will be ARC Cast Off technique here." She still had nightmares about what had happened there. Jaune had been in his trunks when one of his cousins thought it would be fun to deck his pants. Jaune clearly had the last laugh thought and probably potentially ruined the relationships of every romantic relationship. Like Saphron and her girlfriend, the studious young girl.

"If it is any consolation, I am wearing my underwear and this is a hospital not a pool." Jaune said without a shred of shame or form of apology in his voice.

It was no consolation to Glynda who just said to him "I'll take my chances, now get back to your room you miscreant."

Jaune complied but he laughed quite a maniacal laugh his entire way back as he said "Fine, fine little Glynda. I know little children get upset when they don't get their way. But I'll be released soon, oh by the way it was nice to see you again Aunt Glynda."

Turning to Gabriela, Glynda shook her head and says "Your son is insufferable, can you believe me now you don't want your daughters to date a guy like him?"
