Hello!

Ah, its good to be back! I am terribly sorry for not updating in so long, I was dealing with some family matters and I needed to take a short break. On the plus side, I now have plenty of ideas for future chapters and I have already started on them!

Anyway, I hope that you enjoy the chapter! These chapter is the third chapter of my Minotaur Nation arc that I am working on, so I suggest that you at least read the previous two chapters first, but I'm assuming that you have already don't that if you made it this far haha. I would love to hear what you think of it, so if you feel so inclined please leave a review so that I can continue to improve.

I hope you all have an excellent day!

Wyatt groaned as he sat up and rubbed the back of his sore neck, after blinking a few times his eyes focused on a letter resting on the nightstand next to the couch that had not been there the previous night.

Wyatt picked up the envelope, it was sealed with red wax with the Sorcerer Kingdoms stamp on it, Wyatt dug his finger nail underneath the paper and ripped open the envelope.

Dear Lord Wyatt,

I have found the Minotaur airfield that you requested me to find, it is located north west of their capital city. It would be approximately a twenty minute flight to reach the airfield from the capital. In terms of defense they have eight ballistas and twenty two watchtowers. There are four large buildings for storage of their flying machines, each of them have large doors on the front that are opened using a pulley system. That is all that I was able to learn in the short time that I was given for surveillance my Lord, I do apologize in advance if you find this information dissatisfactory.

Wyatt chuckled to himself and raised his arm to the side of his head as he stood up {{Hello Demiurge}}.

{{My Lord, I trust that you received my letter?}}

{{Yes I did, this is a huge help Demiurge, I will make sure that you get rewarded for this.}}

{{Serving you is the only reward that I need my Lord}}

{{Nonsense, I know you're busy with planning for the Holy Kingdom so you do deserve something to make up for me taking up your precious time. I won't arrive back to Nazarick in at least a few more days so you have plenty of time to think about what you want.}}

{{I am honoured Lord! I look forward to your triumphant return.}} with that Demiurge ended the {{Message}} and Wyatt was left in a peaceful silence for a few seconds.

He looked over towards the large bed, Chloe was curled up in a little ball and Aura had one of her black fluffy tails in her grasp, snuggling up with it.

Wyatt softly walked over until he reached the edge of the bed frame, he leaned over and pulled the thick blankets up slightly so that it better covered the two sleeping girls.

"I'll let them get a little bit more sleep before I wake them up, it will be a late night tonight after all.'' Wyatt said softly under his breath.

He tip-toed out of the guest bedroom, being careful to close the door as softly as possible as he exited the room. He walked through the hallways of the castle towards his destination, every now and then he would run into a guard or maid on his journey and would greet them as he passed.

Eventually after a few minutes he reached the door to the former Queens room that now belonged to Sarah.

He knocked lightly on the door several times and he heard a voice softly call out to him from the other side of the door "Enter.'' the feminine voice simply replied.

Wyatt turned the handle and pushed open the door, Sarah was standing out on the balcony, leaning against the railing.

"Good Morning, Lord Wyatt. I trust that you slept well?'' Sarah greeted as she smiled softly.

"Yes I did, thank you for the guest room.'' Wyatt said as he slipped his hands into his pockets and stood next to the Queen and looked out over the Wyvern Kingdom.

The sun was just rising over the mountains, the beautiful mix of yellow, orange and red colours that blended together as the run peaked over the sharp mountain range was breathtaking. ''I always loved this view.'' Sarah said softly as she rested her elbows on the fancy wooden railing of the balcony and smiled almost as brightly as the sun itself.

''It really is like a painting.'' Wyatt said a cool, pleasant breeze washed over the two. Wyatt noticed that Sarah's smile seemed to fade ever so slightly a minute later ''Is something wrong?'' he asked as he turned his head to the left to get a better look at her face.

Sarah blinked her eyes a few times and shook her head "No, I was simply picturing a...very displeant thought that's all…''.

"What was it, if you don't mind me asking that is?'' Wyatt said as he pulled his hands free from his pockets and joined Sarah in resting his elbows on the wooden railing of the balcony.

Sarah sighed softly "I...'' she started and stopped as she let out another deep breath ''...I pictured this beautiful sight ruined...with watchtowers and flying machines covering the land. I pictured my people in shackles...used as slave labour until they were too weak or too old to work anymore, then chopped up and served as food to those beasts…''.

Wyatt gently placed a hand on her right shoulder "Don't worry, I'm not going to let that happen.'' he said with a comforting smile.

"R-really...it's not that I don't doubt your abilities, but….'' Sarah stopped before she finished her sentence and shifted her eyes to look at the floor.

''I am not working alone you know? In fact, I have a few friends that should be showing up soon to help, would you like to come meet them with me?''.

"Friends? Sure I suppose so, I have nothing else that I need to attend to this morning.''

''Alright, lets go.'' Wyatt said as he turned around and walked towards the door. Sarah followed right along beside him, a few minutes later they reached the courtyard of the castle and Wyatt sat down on a bench.

After a few more minutes of idle chatter an oval shaped purple portal appeared in the center of the courtyard.

Sarah looked to her left and saw that Wyatt was showing no concern or treating the portal as a threat so she relaxed. Unfortunately the guards of the castle didn't share her feelings, before anyone had even stepped through the guards circled around the portal with spears at the ready.

"Wait! They are friends of Lord Wyatt from the Sorcerer's Kingdom!'' Sarah shouted out as she swiftly stood up and jogged over to the guards to have them stand down.

Wyatt chuckled to himself under his breath and pushed himself up off of the bench and lazily walked over to Sarah, the guards seemed to still be a little bit on edge and placed themselves in between the portal and their Queen.

Less than a minute later a familiar figure walked through the portal followed by five others a second later, Wyatt saw all the guards tense up for a second as they approached and dropped to a knee in front of them in near perfect synchronization.

The figure that had walked through the portal first that was at the front of the kneeling group with the rest of the hooded figures lined up behind them reached up and pulled down their hood.

A oversized brown witch hat was the first thing that Wyatt saw, followed by short blue hair and a smiling face "Greetings Lord Wyatt, we are here as you requested.'' the blue haired female said as she looked up at Wyatt and the rising sun shined off her small reading glasses with a glare.

"Hello Alanna, this is the Queen of the Wyvern Nation that we are going to be helping.'' Wyatt said calmly as he gestured towards Sarah, who was still standing behind her row of spear wielding guards.

"Hello your majesty, my name is Alanna, leader of the Sorcerer's Kingdom Special Magician Force.'' Alanna rutinaley greeted as she bowed her head for a second to the Queen.

"Um..its very nice to meet you Alanna.'' Sarah said politely as she gave her a small wave and pushed past her guards to stand next to Wyatt.

"I trust that you brought along magicians based on the report that Demiurge gave you?'' Wyatt asked as he waved his hand for Alanna and the others to stand up instead of kneeling.

Alanna waited for a second and in a beautifully timed movement all six magicians stood up in one fluid motion "Of course Lord Wyatt, they all have large mana pools and a number of destruction spells. Most of them being fire and explosive based like you requested.''.

"Excuse me, Lord Wyatt. What exactly are they going to do?'' Sarah asked as she tilted her head slightly.

"Sorry, I guess I should explain my plan of attack shouldn't I? Can you have all the riders that you want to be part of the attack to meet in the hanger in a few minutes?''.

''Of course, I will see you shortly." the Queen said as she nodded to Wyatt and spun around, speed walking away with her guards towards the hanger that the Wyverns were kept in.

Wyatt let out a small shallow sigh and opened his mouth to continue his conversation with Alanna but he was interrupted by another familiar voice.

"Lord Wyatt!'' he cranked his neck as far to the right as he could and saw both Aura and Chloe running towards him.

They reached him a few seconds later, Chloe was heavily panting and she put her hands on her knees to steady herself. Aura folded her arms in front of her chest and glanced up at Wyatt "Lord Wyatt, why didn't you wake us up?! What if something happened to you and we weren't there to defend you?!" Aura questioned as she gave Wyatt a small pout.

Wyatt chuckled as he raised her hand and gently placed it on top of Auras tiny head and rustled her short shaggy blonde hair "Don't worry about me, I wanted you two to get a little extra sleep, we will be staying up late tonight. Ainz wouldn't be too happy with me if he heard that you were not getting enough sleep.'' he said as he cracked a smile.

Chloe finally got her breath under control and was able to join in the conversation "Master, w-where did you sleep?'' she hesitantly asked.

"Oh, I just slept on the couch.'' Wyatt nonchalantly responded as he retracted his hand from Auras head leaving her hair a little messier than it normally would have been.

''What?!'' Aura and Chloe both half screamed as they leaned closer to him.

"Yeah, you two fell asleep as soon as we got to the room and I didnt want to disturb you so I just slept on the couch.'' Wyatt explained calmly with a blank expression.

'Lord Wyatt cared so much that he willingly slept in less comfortable conditions just for us! Wait what am I thinking!? I need to hurry up and apologize!' Aura hastily thought to herself. ''Lord Wyatt please for-''

''Don't worry about it Aura.'' Wyatt interrupted her apology in a calm collected voice.

"Huh?'' Aura tilted her head to the side slightly as she looked up at him.

"I already said, you two needed your sleep. So as long as you both slept well then i'm happy.'' Wyatt said softly as he smiled down at both of them.

Aura and Chloe were both stunned that they couldn't put their thoughts into words, though they were both thinking the same thing 'Lord Wyatt really does care about me!'.

''Anyway,'' Wyatt started grabbing both of the girls attention again ''Sarah is probably waiting for us so we should get going.''.

''Right!''

''O-ok''

"Would you like us to accompany you as well Lord Wyatt?'' Alanna, who had been standing off to the side silently watching asked.

"Sure, you are an important part of my plan so you should be there for the briefing.'' Wyatt said as he turned around and started to walk towards the Wyvern stables.

Aura followed along next to him on his right and Chloe on his left, Alanna and the other five magicians followed closely behind him.

When they finally reached the cave that had been dug into the side of the mountain that acted as the Wyvern stables everyone else was already gathered. "Master!'' Wyatt heard an icy voice call out to him, Mia ran over to him like a puppy, she slammed her snout into Wyatts torso and started nuzzling against him.

"Whoa, it's good to see you too Mia'' Wyatt said as he lightly laughed and patted her single snow white horn "Are you excited for tonight?'' he asked as he continued to pat her on the head.

"Very Master, I have eagerly awaited for my opportunity to destroy more of those flying machines. Ripping them apart if very fun~'' Mia said smoothly as she made a face that Wyatt could only assume was a smirk.

"I'll make sure that I save one for you so you can use it as a chew toy.'' Wyatt said as he stopped patting her head and dropped his arms to his sides.

Mia pulled her head back and lowered it to him like a nod "I would greatly appreciate that Master~'' she said with a chiling breath.

Out of the corner of his eye Wyatt saw Sarah standing with a group of a dozen or so riders, he gave Mia one last pat on the top of the head and walked over to her "Is this everyone Sarah?'' he calmly asked.

Sarah whipped around "Yes Lord Wyatt, this is everyone. These are the best riders that we have!'' she responded quickly.

"Good, then we can get straight to the attack plan than .'' Wyatt said as he smiled and nodded.

''Of course, they will be in your care. Please take good care of them.'' Sarah said with her concern clear in her voice.

"I will don't worry, you have my word that not a single one of them will even be harmed.'' Wyatt said confidently as he put his hands on his waist.

Sarah's shoulders dropped slightly as she visibly relaxed "Then I have nothing to worry about, thank you.'' she said with a gentle smile.

"Alright!'' Wyatt loudly announced as he clapped his hands together to grab everyone's attention "I am going to go over our plan for tonight just so we don't have any issues.''.

All of the riders grabbed a seat and made a half circle around Wyatt, some sat on wooden crates, others on stools and one girl with long purple hair and heavy silver armour just remained seated on her murky green colored Wyvern.

"First things first, we will be attacking an airfield not far from the Minotaur Nation's capital city, we will be attacking at night so I highly doubt that they will be able to get their planes off the ground if everything goes to plan.'' Wyatt said as he received nods from the riders.

"We have been looking forward to taking the fight to the beasts!'' one of the riders said as she punched her open palm with a closed fist cracking her knuckles loudly.

"Yeah!''

''God damn right!''

Two other riders agreed with her statement and smiled.

"I am glad you are all excited, the plan is pretty simple. There are four large buildings at the airfield, those buildings are filled with those flying machines. If we destroy them, the Minotaur Nation will take a heavy blow and it will make it far easier to take the capital.''.

One woman with brown hair that was braided in a ponytail raised her hand "How are we supposed to destroy those buildings?'' she plainly asked, earning nods from a few of the other riders that shared the same question.

"That's where my magicians come in, Alanna care to explain?''.

"Of course Lord Wyatt,'' Alanna started as she used her index finger to push up her glasses "During the attack each rider will be paired with one of the other magicians, they will focus on using destruction spells to destroy and burn the buildings down. Those that are not paired with a spell caster will focus on attacking the eight ballistas and twenty two watchtowers that are also on the airfields grounds.''.

''Is that it?'' the girl with the purple hair that was sitting on her Wyvern asked "It seems almost too easy.''.

''Well this is somewhat wishful thinking, if they do manage to launch some planes then retreat immediately and I will deal with them.'' Wyatt said as he crossed his arms in front of him.

The purple haired rider nodded as she seemed to be satisfied with that answer "That is basically everything, are there any other questions?'' Wyatt asked as he looked around the room.

All of the riders shook their heads or simply didn't answer him "Perfect, meet back here at sunset and we will leave then.''.

All the riders got up and went about their days, some went to adjust their saddles or check their equipment, a small group of riders went to feen some of the Wyverns and the rest of the riders left the hangar to rest until nightfall. Sarah said a quick goodbye and left with her guards to head back to the castle for the day.

''Lord Wyatt, what do you have for us to do?'' Wyatt turned around and saw Aura and Chloe standing next to each other.

"Ah, well Chloe you will be riding with me and Aura, you have a very important job.'' Wyatt said as he crouched down so he was eye level with the two.

"An important job?'' Aura said softly as she tilted her head while a number of thoughts ran through her head 'Lord Wyatt has a special assignment just for me! This is my chance to make up for my mistake last time!'.

"Yeah, when we get to the airfield I need you to go into one of the hangers and help use this..'' Wyatt pulled out a small scroll that was tied with a bright red ribbon from a {{Pocket Dimension}} and handed it to Aura ''..its a mass teleportation scroll, I want you to use it on a few of those flying machines and send them to the sixth floor of Nazarick for me,can you handle that?''.

Aura looked up from the scroll and nodded enthusiastically "Yes! You can count on me Lord Wyatt! I won't fail you, I swear!'' she eagerly stated.

"Good..'' Wyatt said as he stood back up "..I'm sure that both of you will do a great job.'' he said as he cracked a smile and patted the tops of their heads.

"Now, we have nothing else to do so let's relax for the rest of today until night time.'' Wyatt calmly said earning nods from the two.

"I'm going to go for a walk, you two are welcome to join me if you want too. Oh, and you can come if you want too Alanna.''.

''We'd love too!'' all three quickly responded as they followed Wyatt out of the hanger to spend the rest of the day with him until nightfall...
