Greetings, everyone, and, depending on the time this was uploaded, good day or night. You all know me as SuperHeroTimeFan the author of over twenty great Stories. I am here with a brand-new Story, one that crosses over with my favorite series, Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, and Ever After High. Not much to be said besides that, but from here, I hope you enjoy what I've got. Now, onto the first Chapter of my new Story, Ever After Advent!
Chapter 1: Welcome to Vent End
Vent End. A world where one wish can change everything. Anyone can make a wish, it's human nature. But here… there is no humanity. Not here in Vent End… not in Ventara.
A covered bike revved out of a mirror and into the streets of what appeared to be a town with quaint houses and shops, a large academy at the end by two forests. It stopped just a few feet in front, near a bridge leading to the entrance. It started to open up, revealing a figure docked all in blackish-blue armor. The figure had a helmet with a grill-like visor, a sword at the side with the symbol of a bat, and on the center of the belt was the same bat symbol, only with what appeared to be cards sticking out of it.
Another bike shot out, this time from the water. As it shot into the air, a figure with red armor appeared. This one had a gauntlet on the left arm shaped like a dragon, a deck of cards with a dragon symbol on it, and a helmet with yet another grill-like visor covering red eyes, the top of the helmet with a white dragon symbol on it.
Both armored figures turned to each other, the one in bat armor drawing a Card. The moment it was drawn, the dragon-armored figure mimicked the same movement.
"Last chance to back out." The bat-armored figure, now revealed as a girl, said before opening her sword and placing the Card into a slot. She closed it immediately.
SWORD VENT!
"I've come this far," the other figure, also revealed to be female, said before sliding down her gauntlet. "I'm not giving up now." She said, placing the Card in before sliding the gauntlet back up.
SWORD VENT!
A red dragon and a black bat flew over the two, each one dropping a sword to their owners. The female armor with bat armor held a lance in her hands while the female dragon-armored warrior held a broadsword. The two waited for their beasts to fly off before out from a nearby reflection, a monster resembling the dragon-armored warrior, with a sword in one hand and a dragon head on the other, walked out.
The red dragon-armored figure looked to the copycat of her and charged, the two clashing blades immediately. The bat-themed figure, on the other hand, lowered her weapon, and looked on.
From a distance away, at a lake, another female warrior with Swan armor watched what was going on.
At another location, another female figure wearing chameleon armor and a figure wearing manta armor watched what was going on. The manta warrior walked away, placing her arm across her chest, showing her manta-shaped shield.
In the forest, watching the battle were a male figure with blue and silver tiger armor watched the fight occur before a female figure with gazelle armor joined him. He held the gazelle warrior close to him, to which she returned the favor by leaning in towards him.
Another figure, armed with a submachine gun, aimed at the fight, before a purple figure with a deck that had a snake symbol walked over, armed with a gold snake tail-shaped sword in her hand. Before she could strike, however, a figure with spider-like armor in red, with wings resembling spider legs with webs on them, two black fangs with a slit to connect them and special gauntlets on her arms, to place her hand on her shoulder, shaking her head.
From another lake, a figure with a shark motif watched. A large blue shark floated alongside her as she looked on, the Swan-themed Rider taking notice as well.
The bat-themed fighter continued to watch until two figures joined her. One of them was orange with a crab theme while the other was black, silver and a little bit of gold, armed with a sword that had dark-gold feathers on the guard. The crab figure clapped giddily at the fight before the two looked at her, causing her to stop instantly.
A male rider with a rhino motif, complete with a horn on the forehead, as well as the left shoulder, watched with interest, before a silver rhino joined him.
Three Riders observed the battle from a rooftop. One of them was a blue figure with a trident in his hand, as well as tentacles as cufflinks with hints of red and dark-gold. The other had white moth-like armor, armed with two swords, and the third, standing in the middle, was red and had shoulder blades, resembling a boar, with a sword and shield in hand.
Watching from a safer distance away was a figure with armor similar to the manta warrior, only with a sword sheathed on the back and a symbol of a Fenghuang on the Deck. Next to her, leaning on her shoulder, was a Wasp-Themed Rider, armed with a bow, the ends resembling broadswords.
As the two dragon-themed warriors clashed, two more dragon warriors, one black and the other one white and blue, walked towards the battle as a gold Phoenix-themed figure floated down, wings slowly flapping.
This is a world of Vent or be Vented, for the survival of the fittest. It's the way of the Kamen Riders here. It's the thrill of the hunt. But with the countless participants here, we have to band together so we can ALL win.
A dark-armored figure, without a deck, and armed with a staff, walked forward. Behind him were eleven figures, black versions of the fighters based off of the Phoenix, crab, rhino, Cobra, manta, chameleon, bull, shark, Swan, tiger and impala. The dark-armored figure's eyes glowed red before blue energy gathered around the staff in his hands. He sent it into the air, where meteors rained down.
But I think it's easier if I started from the beginning. This is how it all started.
Three weeks ago…
Two covered bikes shot out from a reflection and made their way towards several red and black monsters, resembling newts, with throwing stars mounted on their backs. The bikes opened up, revealing the bat warrior and the manta warrior.
"Let's begin." The bat-themed warrior said, placing her sword Card into the guard of her sword.
SWORD VENT!
"Don't need to tell me twice." The female manta warrior said as she placed a Card with the same title on it into her visor, only resembling fins of a manta instead.
SWORD VENT!
"Rosabella, let's go!" the bat warrior called out as soon as she gained her lance. She ran forward and slashed at the monsters, causing some of them to fade away upon impact.
Rosabella nodded and ran forward. She started to slash at each of the monsters before using her visor shield to block a throwing star slashed at her. She lowered it and stabbed the monster in the chest before stabbing her right sword into the chest of another monster. As she did, she took out a Card before tossing her left sword at another incoming monster. She placed it into her visor afterwards and closed it.
SWING VENT!
Rosabella pulled out her right sword and held her left hand into the air, letting a Whip resembling the tail of a manta fly into her hand. She swung it to the ground before taking out another monster with it.
"Really putting that Sword Vent to good use, huh?" the bat warrior asked as she slashed several monsters down.
"I like what I get, Raven," Rosabella said before spinning around and taking out more enemies around her. She looked around. "Where is Maddie? She was supposed to be here with us when we arrived!"
"I'm betting it has to do with Kitty… again," Raven said as she walked over. A monster was about to attack her until a crab monster leapt to attack it. Without even flinching, she looked to the side to see an orange crab-themed warrior running over. "Speak of the Hatter."
"Sorry I'm late," Maddie said, stretching her arms out. "I was—"
"With Kitty again, we know," Raven said before looking to the monsters again. "This is the last for today. Better finish them off before Faybelle, Meeshell, or even Poppy, get here," she said before opening up her sword guard and taking out a Card. As she did, she and Rosabella turned to Maddie. "We will discuss this later." She said sternly before closing her sword.
FINAL VENT!
"You know what to do." Rosabella said as she opened up her shield. She took out a Card and placed it in, closing it.
FINAL VENT!
"Alright, here we go!" Maddie called out as she placed the same Card into her scissor gauntlet, which closed automatically.
FINAL VENT!
Raven gained her lance as her bat flew onto her back. She ran forward just as Maddie's crab monster appeared from the ground behind her while Rosabella's manta ray flew by, allowing her to jump onto it. All three made their way towards the rest of the monsters before jumping and landing kicks.
Raven's cape engulfed her as she drilled down.
Rosabella leapt off of her manta as she prepared a double dropkick.
Maddie was thrown into the air by her crab, and she performed a scissor kick.
All three made impact on the monsters, destroying them easily.
Across a town, everyone watched on the big screens as the battle ended. The symbols of Raven, Rosabella and Maddie showed up, causing everyone to cheer.
"And there you have it, folks!" Reporter Blondie Lockes announced as a girl with blonde hair, a black and red jacket, red skirt and tan high heel shoes ran towards a large castle. "Once more, Kamen Riders Wing Knight, Sting and Incisor take the lead in the Rider Battle! We are just at the beginning of the first week, but there are two more days until Week 1 ends!" she announced before a screen showing several more Riders appeared. "Who's gonna get their wish by the end of these two years? You can still enter, just sign up at Ever Advent High!"
"That's just what I plan to do!" the blonde girl with red said to herself as she ran through the streets. "No way can they deny me now!"
Several people were up at the front desk of the castle as other Riders were emerging from several Mirrors. Gold armor faded from one of the girls before she flew away while another swung in from some vines, putting away a gun and cancelling out her own transformation. As she left, a girl with dark skin and brown and pink hair was looking to a girl with long hair, letting out some coughs, before a girl with purple short hair walked out of a mirror and ran to her aid. The dark-skinned girl blushed before walking away, just as a teen boy with a crown shuffled his own deck away before a teen with the same blonde hair, only shorter, walked by while checking out his phone.
"Up for consideration! Next!" the registrar announced as two people left the desk. The girl who was running came up next, placing some forms out. "Name and desired contract?" he asked while writing on his notepad.
"Annie Smith," the girl said. "I was… hoping to contract with the Ladybug monster that's been roaming around the eastern area of Ventara."
"Show me your blank deck, Ms. Smith," the man said as he started to look up. "That Se—" he started off before seeing the girl for himself. "Well, well, well," he said, narrowing his eyes. "What is this? Trying to sneak in again?"
Kamen Riders Wing Knight, Sting and Incisor emerged from three mirrors nearby. Spreading their arms out, two rings appeared for each of them, causing their armors to cancel out.
Rosabella looked to Maddie, who looked giddy. "Don't tell me," she said with an exasperated sigh. "Closet? Bathroom? Our room?"
"Um… wild guess?" Maddie asked nervously.
Raven was about to speak up until she noticed what was happening at the front desk. "Um, find Briar and Jillian," she said. "There's something I need to take care of."
"Listen, I know you have something against me, but the law says there's no discrimination allowed." The blonde girl said.
"You're gonna have to leave now," the man said as Raven approached. "Or else I'll have to—"
"Hey!" Raven called out in a friendly tone, wrapping her arm around the blonde girl's neck. "I was hoping you'd make it! You catch our fight, Apple?"
Apple stammered. "Raven!" she exclaimed. "Yeah, yeah, I saw it. Didn't miss a single second."
"Ryan, don't worry," Raven said to the registrar, "I invited her for a tour for today. No need to throw any shade."
Ryan sighed. "Okay, I'll let it slide," he said. "But if she shows up with another false identity…"
"Oh, don't you worry," Apple said as Raven led her inside. "It won't happen!"
Ryan eyed Apple suspiciously as she went inside.
As soon as they were out of Ryan's sight, Raven hugged Apple in a friendly way. "Great to see you, White!" she exclaimed with a hearty laugh. "What has it been? Five months?"
"A year," Apple said. She looked back to Ryan. "And still, he hates me."
"Oh, he's like that with everyone," Raven said with reassurance. "He doesn't hold any grudges."
"You mean like Coral and Bette?" Apple asked, gesturing to an octopus-themed Rider and a green rider with an axe entering a mirror.
"They… have some issues," Raven said. "Now come on," she said, taking Apple's hand. "I know you've been wanting to meet my team. I'll introduce you."
Apple smiled as Raven led her into the cafeteria. All around her, she could see the different Riders resting or doing whatever they felt like.
One girl in white and blue clothes was doing some kick-boxing before a male with green and brown clothes walked up to her. She stopped and smiled before hugging him.
Another girl, one with pink hair and an aquatic-like dress, was looking to a window. In it were two monsters that had shark appearances to them. She placed her hand to the window and patted it before revealing a blue deck that had a shark symbol on it.
A girl in a white ballet skirt was walking in, evading some of the people running in her direction. One of them bumped into her, prompting her to take out a sword with a golden swan symbol on it. Nervously, the same student who bumped into her bowed with respect before running off.
"Four of the Thirteen Riders already," Apple said as she looked around before the girl with wings flew down, petting a golden Phoenix. "Make that five…" she whispered before seeing the girl with purple hair tending to the girl who was coughing from before. "Is that Strike?"
"Poppy O'Hair?" Raven asked. "Yeah, that's her, and that's her sister, Kamen Rider Slinger, aka Holly O'Hair."
Holly coughed as Poppy tended to her.
"Well?" Poppy asked. "How long did Baba Yaga say?"
"Until the end of next year," Holly said. She took out a vial and drank from it. She took a deep breath. "There's still no cure that she's found."
"Then take this," Poppy said, holding out another vial. "Should extend your lifeline."
Holly narrowed her eyes. "Who was it this time?" she asked. "Dexter? Kitty? Ramona?"
"Holly, please—"
"Who did you Vent for this?" Holly asked.
Poppy sighed. "I'm doing this for you, to protect you," she said. "Please don't accuse me of being selfish."
"As long as you Vent others… I can't accept it." Holly said before going to get some water.
"They're right over here," Raven said as she and Apple passed by Holly. "Come on."
Unknown to the four, another girl, one with blue hair and a bonnet, holding a deck that had a symbol of a sheep on it, narrowed her eyes angrily. She emerged from the shadows and walked over.
At another table, Rosabella was resting her feet on a chair. The same girl with brown and pink hair was facing away from her while Maddie was looking to Kitty, standing at the upper floor. Next to them was a girl with green clothes with vines, as well as dark skin and brown hair. In her hands was a deck with a symbol of a bull on it.
"I'm thinking of going to Farrah for an upgrade," the green-clothed girl said to the others in a British/Australian/Cockney accent. "There's another monster roaming around, and I need a new Contract Card if I'm gonna be the one to catch it. This train moves quickly."
"I don't know, Jillian," the girl with brown and pink hair said. "I was thinking maybe Lizzie or courtly have a good offer too."
"Ooh, good idea," Maddie said. "Alistair and Bunny could be available too."
"Hey, guys!"
The girls looked over to see Raven approaching with Apple.
"Rae, there you are!" the girl with brown and pink hair said. She looked to Apple. "This the friend you keep telling us about?"
"Yep," Apple said, holding her hand out. "Apple White, at your service."
"She's here for a visit this time, Briar." Raven explained.
Briar looked to Apple and held her hand out as Rosabella was putting her boots back on. "Briar Beauty, nice to meet you," she said. "I'm Kamen Rider Noir."
"I don't remember there being a Kamen Rider Noir." Apple said.
"She's one of the Next Gens," Rosabella explained. "And… my cousin."
"'Next Gens'?" Apple asked.
"The Riders who come after the Original Thirteen," Raven said, gesturing to three teens with different decks, a girl with a red hood talking to a girl with wolf-like features, the girl with the shark deck, and several other Students. "We call them Next Gens for their desire to fill in the positions of the Original Thirteen. So far, they're competing for the two empty spots."
"Everyone wants to be the next Eubulon." Jillian chimed in.
Apple's eyes sparkled. "The Eubulon?" she asked. "The only Rider Master of the Battle?"
"The very same," Maddie said while still looking to Kitty, who disappeared and reappeared at the front of the food line. "He forwent his wish, leaving it open to anyone who could beat his record after the fifth Rider Battle."
"I've studied all the Thirteen Riders," Apple said. "Why isn't there a Dragon Knight or Onyx?"
"Um… well…" Raven started out.
At that moment, Poppy's eyes widened. She turned to the side and took out a purple snake staff, knocking away a futuristic shepherd's hook, which flew back to the girl in the bonnet.
"Poppy O'Hair!" the bonnet girl called out. "You can't run from me now!"
Everyone turned to Poppy and the girl in the bonnet, stopping all that they were doing.
"Lily, are you really that much of a glutton for punishment?" Poppy asked, getting up. "I don't care how many times you've gotten Boosted, I'm not wasting time with you again."
"I was supposed to get the Strike Deck, but it was wasted on you!" Lily called out, aiming her hook at Poppy. "Face me now! Or do I have to call for a Reassignment?"
Everyone oohed at the comment, causing Poppy to narrow her eyes.
"Reassignment?" Apple whispered to Raven.
"You don't want to know." Raven whispered back.
"Fine," Poppy said, taking out the purple snake deck. "But don't say I didn't warn you."
Lily took out her Deck. "You gonna keep talking, or are we gonna get started?" she asked.
Everyone watched as mirrors floated around them. Two exact same mirrors appeared in front of Poppy and Lily who held their decks out to them immediately. Energy crackled as belts materialized onto their waists from the reflections.
"Anyone can issue a battle," Briar said to Apple. "At any time."
"All one on one Rider Duels are left alone." Maddie added on.
Lily thrust her arm into the air before bringing down two fingers in the middle of her face. "Kamen Rider!" she called out, placing her deck into her belt.
Poppy circled her hand out in front of her until she formed a claw shape. "Kamen Rider!" she called out, lunging it forward like a snake before placing her deck into her belt.
Both decks spun around, giving both Poppy and Lily rings around their waists. They spun around them as three silhouettes of their Rider Forms started to superimpose onto them. Soon, the orbs faded, leaving Poppy with purple armor that resembled a snake while Lily had armor that resembled a black sheep. The two snarled and entered the mirrors.
On the big screens, Lily arrived in Ventara on her Ride Shooter, and Poppy arrived soon afterwards. The two waited for their bikes to open completely before getting out.
"Okay, you know what comes out of this," Lily, now as Kamen Rider Shepard, said to Poppy. "If I win, I take back the Strike Deck. You win, you keep it."
"No need to tell me," Poppy said, taking out her snake staff and opening it before taking a Card from out of her Deck. "I already know how this one will turn out." She remarked before slotting the Card in. As soon as it was, she closed her staff.
SWORD VENT!
Poppy placed her staff away and held out her left hand, gaining a sword shaped like a snake's tail.
Lily snarled as she pulled down the curve of her hook. "Time for this snake to get stomped." She quipped. She pulled out a Card from her Deck and placed it into the slot on her hook. She pulled it up soon afterwards.
PUNCH VENT!
Two fists, one black and one white, flew to Lily's hands. Each one had a spiky appearance to them. She pounded them against each other before charging at Poppy.
Poppy grinned and evaded the punches sent at her. She slashed her sword at Lily, who countered with her right fist, before pushing the sheep-themed Rider away. As soon as they were pushed back, Poppy kicked Lily in the leg and tried to bring her sword down onto her, only for Lily to punch back at her. Poppy was sent back, sparks flying across her chest.
"They're good," Apple said back at Ever Advent High. She looked to Raven and Briar. "From your experiences… who's the better fighter?" she asked. "And what's their history?"
"Poppy's mother defeated Lily's mother in one of the Rider Battles," Briar explained as Poppy backflipped from several hooks sent by Lily. "That was the first time, and she gained the Snake Deck while a weaker Deck, the Sheep Deck, was handed to Lily's mother, who in turn, handed that Deck to Lily years later. Lily's been bitter about it ever since, and wants the Deck back."
"But Poppy has been fighting well with it," Raven said. "She took out some of the most powerful Kamen Riders before Lily even challenged her. At first, we thought she was using brute strength…"
"But now, we think it's… something else." Rosabella continued.
Lily brought her left fist at Poppy, who used her Veno Saber to block the attack. She pushed the Sheep Rider back before kicking her to the ground. Lily growled and got back up again before taking out a Card and placing it into her Visor.
DROWSY VENT!
Poppy glanced behind her as several of her Sheep Advent Beasts released white mist at her.
"Cute." Poppy said before sliding a Card into her Veno Visor.
ATTACK VENT!
The VenoSnaker appeared and hissed at the white mist, melting it away. Poppy cracked her neck and slashed at Lily again, this time disarming her of her Punch Vent Gauntlets before lifting her by the neck.
"You're really vexing me." Poppy snarled. Continuing to hold her up, she tossed her at VenoSnaker, who spat venom at her before Poppy slid in her final Card.
FINAL VENT!
Poppy ran at Lily, still tumbling down, before jumping up. VenoSnaker caught her, and soon, she sent down a bicycle kick, VenoSnaker melting Lily with its venom while Poppy kicked at her, breaking her defenses. Lily yelled as she fell back, exploding immediately.
"No… this can't be…" Lily said as she felt her chest. "I was meant to be Strike. Not you!"
"The battle is over," Poppy said, raising her Veno Saber again. She was about to strike down until she remembered what Holly said. Scoffing, she lowered it and simply used it to crack Lily's Deck, destroying it. "You're out of here."
Lily looked up as she ejected from her Rider Form. As soon as the mirrors took them back to Ever Advent High, where Lily was now growling.
"Poppy…" Holly said from her table.
"Congratulations. You've lost the Reassigning," Poppy said before her Veno Saber faded away. "Now get out."
Lily scowled as she got up. Grabbing a remaining piece of her Deck, she made her way to the door and promptly left the School.
"Very well done," everyone looked up to see two men, one tall with a blue suit and the other with a crimson suit, approaching. "Just what we expect at this Academy."
"The Advent Masters, Milton and Giles." Apple said.
"Do not let them see you." Raven whispered.
"I couldn't agree more."
Everyone gasped before someone walked in between the two men. This one had a black suit, brown hair and blue eyes.
"That was worthy of a Rider Battle Champion." The man grinned.
Immediately, everyone bowed in respect.
"Thank you, Master Eubulon." Poppy said.
"Oh, no need for formalities. Just Eubulon will do," Eubulon said. "I look among each and every one of you, searching for who will be the next victor of the Rider Battle," he announced. "I may have held the title of the champion for years, but now that new generations stand before me, I seek to find the one who will take my place. The Original Thirteen…" he asked, looking to Raven, Maddie, Poppy, Rosabella, Jillian, and six other students. "Or the Next Generation…" he went on, turning his attention to Holly, Briar, and several more students. "I can tell this is going to be a time of great sur—" he was about to continue until he noticed some blonde hair behind Raven. "Prizes…" he finished up. "And unexpected challenges for you all to face, if you want to become the next Advent Champion."
"Thank you, Eubulon." Raven said.
"I will be in my chambers." Eubulon said, walking away.
"Back to what you were doing." Milton said before he and Giles left.
"He almost saw you," Briar said to Apple as she stopped hiding. "Looked more surprised than concerned."
"Why?" Apple asked.
"Best not to think about it too much," Raven said, leading Apple away. "I think it's time you left."
"Wait, now?" Apple asked, surprised,
"Hmm…" Briar narrowed her eyes at Raven.
"Look, I try my best to sneak you in, but it's becoming too much," Raven said as she brought Apple back outside. "Why they can't enroll you, I don't know, but please try not to sneak into the school again."
Apple stood firm. "For years, I've watched you and all the Riders fight in the Battles," she said. "I want to join in, become one of the best."
"You will… one day," Raven said before patting Apple on the shoulder. "Need me and DarkWing to guide you back to the apartment?"
"I think I can manage," Apple shook her head. "Thanks, anyways."
"Don't be a stranger!" Raven called as Apple turned to head back home.
As Raven headed inside, Briar walked in front of her.
"We need to talk." Briar said.
From the window of the office of the Advent Masters, Milton looked out, seeing Apple leave the school.
"She came back again," Milton sighed. "Why does she keep returning?"
"Do you blame her?" Giles asked. "She grew up without knowing the full story of what happened."
"Even still, I knew Eubulon was thrown off about something," Milton said. "I thought it was him, but I never thought it was her."
"Give it time," Giles said. "She might not even turn out like Evelyn did. She might be something else… different."
Poppy walked with Holly down the halls. Holly only looked to her sister with daggers in her eyes.
"Don't look at me like that," Poppy said. "I didn't Vent her, just as said. Your condition is more important to me than anything."
"So your decision to change our wish wasn't meant to benefit us both?" Holly glared.
"You thought I could stand to see you like this?" Poppy asked, gesturing to Holly as her condition started to show again. "You could have changed it yourself, but you insisted on a path of suicide."
"Better dead than all to the head," Holly said. "Just… keep yourself in check. Don't take any more lives than you already have."
Poppy nodded. "I promise." She vowed.
Inside of a training room, Raven backflipped away and kicked off of the wall, landing with her Dark Visor Sword in hand. As she did, Briar advanced, armed with her own Sword, the Garuda Visor, a sword with a silver blade, a purple jewel on the rain-guard, gold wings covering the handle and a completely black handle and under-guard.
"You're hesitating." Briar said.
"No, I'm trying to play it safe." Raven argued before cartwheeling forward and bringing her sword onto Briar, who dodged the first strikes before locking blades with her.
"You had every chance to tell Apple, but you didn't," Briar said. "Take it from someone who's done it before with her exes. It never ends well."
"Whichever girl or guy you date is up to you alone," Raven said. "Apple doesn't have to know the truth."
"She doesn't have to, or you don't want her to?" Briar asked before pushing Raven off and slashing her Dark Visor out of her hand.
Raven simply held her hand out and summoned her Wing Lancer and aimed it at Briar, only for her to tap it with her Garuda Visor while aiming the Dark Visor at her waist.
"Good move," Raven said as she willed her lance away before Briar tossed her Visor back to her. "No wonder you're the best fighter."
"Take my advice, Raven Queen," Briar said. "Because we both know you can't keep the truth from her forever."
At the apartment, Apple White crashed onto her bed. Letting out a sigh, she thought back to the battle of two Riders, the first one she had seen without jumping over a crowd, and the excitement that came with it. While she felt an adrenaline rush by it, she could not shake off what Raven told her.
"Look, I try my best to sneak you in, but it's becoming too much. Why they can't enroll you, I don't know, but please try not to sneak into the school again."
What… what is she hiding from me? Apple thought to herself. Is there even SOMETHING for her TO hide?
Apple sighed and got up, looking to herself in her mirror. "Well, Mom, I got this far," she said. "Everything you said about me reaching this point… I'm glad I've proven you wrong so far. Things will be different once I become a Rider. I promise."
Apple took a deep breath before going to her kitchen. Since she had only taken what she needed from home to live in Vent End, she had limited resources to work with. Getting to work on a salad, she started to mix the fruits together. As she was preparing her food, she suddenly heard something drop.
"Someone there?" Apple asked. She looked around, but heard the sound stop. "If it's the salesman again, I'm not interested."
As Apple looked around, something gleaming caught her eye. Looking around, she saw something by the mirror. Most of her reflective surfaces were either covered or turned around to face the wall, but she did not recall her mirror being used. Anyone who got anything reflective needed them to be checked and proofed by the authorities so that Mirror Monsters would not attack.
Still, it seemed that nothing had come through. Apple cautiously made her way to the mirror and noticed something under her many rejection forms for the school. Clearing, or ripping, some of them away, she found a box-like object underneath the pile.
"No way!"
In Ventara, a dark energy started to form. From it came several spider legs, as well as a set of glowing red eyes. A man in a dark coat with a hood over his head approached it and held its hand out.
"Easy, not yet," the man said. "Someone will be there for you. The time is not yet…" he started before feeling something, causing him to turn around. "No…" he hissed as his eyes glowed red. He turned around and blasted the monster, revealing to be a giant spider with a yellow monster on top of it. "Go." He ordered.
Raven brushed herself off with a towel as Briar was putting her jacket back on. Before the two could leave, they suddenly heard a faint sound. Looking around, Maddie came in.
"We got something big!" Maddie said.
"Let's get to Ventara before anyone else can claim it," Raven said as she held out her Deck to a mirror. "We split it to the three of us each."
"Sounds fair." Rosabella held her own Deck out, as did Maddie.
Energy cackled from each Deck and formed the V-Buckles around the three girls' waists.
Raven pulled her fist across her chest. "Kamen Rider!" she yelled.
Rosabella held two fingers out. "Kamen Rider!" she yelled.
Maddie held out her open hand. "Kamen Rider!" she yelled.
All three girls slid their decks into their belts. The three decks spun around and the respective symbols of the bat, manta and crab lit up before the three spread their arms out, allowing orbs to surround them. Three reflective silhouettes of their Rider Forms appeared over them before the orbs subsided. Raven was now Kamen Rider Wing Knight, Rosabella as Kamen Rider Sting, and Maddie as Kamen Rider Incisor. The three headed into the mirrors, causing all other reflective surfaces around the school to close off.
"Come on!" Meeshell Mermaid groaned.
"The Monsters have been targeted," Hunter scowled as he looked to Ashlynn. "We need to wait this out."
"With Blondie there, we can see what's going on." Ashlynn said as several screens started to show.
The Ride Shooters of the three Riders shot out from the mirrors, but were blasted by a ball of fire. Wing Knight, Incisor and Sting all stopped their bikes and opened them up. As they did, Raven's eyes widened underneath her helmet.
"No way." Raven said.
Standing before the Riders was a monster that resembled a dragon warrior. It had a broadsword in its right hand, a dragon head on its left, and traces of red and silver all over its body.
"What the—?" Humphrey asked in shock back at Ever Advent High.
"Is that…?" Maddie asked.
"The Reverse-Dragon," Raven finished. "That hasn't been seen for years!"
"They have more energy orbs than even the largest Mirror Monster!" Rosabella said. "We'll have our lives set!"
"Careful, they're on the same level as Riders," Raven said. "One wrong move, and you're Vented."
"In that case… you go first, Rae." Maddie said.
"What?!" Raven yelled incredulously.
"My Cards probably won't to much against him," Rosabella reasoned. "And you do have the highest victory count of all Riders."
"Good point," Raven said as she drew her Dark Visor. "Be ready to move in if all goes south." She instructed before charging in.
The Reverse-Dragon laughed and charged back, swinging its sword.
Raven locked with the Reverse-Dragon immediately before placing her Lance Card into her Visor.
SWORD VENT!
Raven broke off and held her hand into the air. As the Reverse-Dragon charged again, she stabbed it away before catching her Wing Lancer. Wielding both her swords, she whacked the Reverse-Dragon away, only for a twisted dragon to appear from its dragon head gauntlet.
"Whoa!" Raven gasped. She leapt up and twirled away as the Reverse-Dragon flew at her. She held up her Wing Lancer again and blocked the attack before getting onto the ground. "I could do with that backup!" she called.
"I got you." Rosabella said, placing a Card into her Deep Visor.
"Me too!" Maddie called, placing the same Card into her Scissors Visor.
COPY VENT!
The Wing Lancer's reflection flew from Raven and to Rosabella and Maddie. The two held their copied weapons at the ready before charging in, Maddie slashing the Reverse-Dragon with her Visor.
"Gah!" Poppy slammed her fist angrily upon seeing what was happening in the battle. "The strongest monster, and they got to it first?! Unacceptable!"
"Calm down," Holly said after drinking some water. "I don't think even the Reverse-Dragon holds the cure I need."
"That would have been the perfect supplement nonetheless," Poppy growled. "When it gets to my turn to fight that beast, I'll take it."
Rosabella and the Reverse-Dragon locked blades, with the former shooting fire from its gauntlet. Rosabella used her shield to block it before punching the Reverse-Dragon away, where Raven readied her next Card.
"Move!" Raven called, slotting the Card in.
FINAL VENT!
The Reverse-Dragon growled as DarkWing swooped in and engulfed Raven as she ran at him. Focusing the attack, he sent forth a stronger stream of fire, knocking Raven out of her attack.
"That's gotta hurt!" Blondie winced, reporting from nearby. "The return of the Reverse-Dragon is a real threat, people! No one has seen the monstrosity since the end of the first Rider Battle! This is a surprise for everyone of the ages!"
Raven groaned as she got up. She looked up as the Reverse-Dragon readied itself for another attack.
"Gotta… think of another way." Raven groaned.
Before the Reverse-Dragon could send forth another fireball special, a blast of fire was sent at it.
Everyone gasped and looked to see a warrior with a red bodysuit and silver and black armor approaching. It looked to be a more majestic version of the Reverse-Dragon, wearing a dragon head on the gauntlet and with a Deck that had a gold dragon symbol on it. The red eyes of the helmet were hidden behind a grill visor over the face.
"Whoa…" Maddie said.
"Isn't that…?" Rosabella asked.
"No way!" Blondie whispered.
"Kamen Rider Dragon Knight!" Raven gasped.
"D-Dragon Knight!" Blondie stuttered before announcing into the camera, "Dragon Knight is back!"
Everyone looked up and gasped.
"He's here?" Briar asked.
"Someone has the Deck!" Daring Charming called out.
"That's impossible." Duchess Swan said.
Kamen Rider Dragon Knight lowered his visor, the Drag Visor, as it stopped glowing brightly. He took out a Card and slotted it in before running ahead.
SWORD VENT!
The Reverse-Dragon roared and charged with its sword as well. The two Dragons clashed head-on, locking and trying to gain momentum. Soon, Dragon Knight leapt over the Reverse-Dragon and kicked the beast before it turned around to send a fireball at him.
Dragon Knight simply grabbed the head of the Reverse-Dragon's attack before throwing it off. The Reverse-Dragon snarled again before its sword and gauntlet formed into the twisted dragon.
Dragon Knight took out another Card and placed it into his Drag Visor before closing it.
ATTACK VENT!
The dragon beast of Dragon Knight, DragReder, flew in, and breathed fire, just as the dragon of the Reverse-Dragon did so as well. Both warriors ran at each other and slashed again. The Reverse-Dragon grunted as it fell back before Dragon Knight took out a Card, one that had his symbol on it. Everyone knew what was coming before he placed it into the Visor and closed it shut.
FINAL VENT!
Dragreder roared and began to spin around its contractor as Kamen Rider Dragon Knight changed his stance, spreading his legs and bending his knees as if preparing to jump, his arms circled beside him. Once he was in position, he spinning around the Dragon Rider as he flipped in the air and positioned himself for a flying kick. Letting out a yell, identified as a female one, she was launched down at the Reverse-Dragon in a blast of fire. Crashing into the Reverse-Dragon, an explosion went off from the Dragon Rider Kick.
As soon as Kamen Rider Dragon Knight got back up, she noticed the Reverse-Dragon recovering. It growled and aimed its sword out.
"Dragon Knight is a girl?" Raven asked.
"She's good." Faybelle admitted.
"Don't think this is over!" the Reverse-Dragon hissed in a distorted voice. "I'll be back, Dragon Knight!"
Kamen Rider Dragon Knight gasped and ran at the Reverse-Dragon as it slashed at the ground. Soon, it disappeared in a puff of flames.
"Too close," Rosabella said as Kamen Rider Dragon Knight now made her way towards the three. "Way too close."
"Thanks," Raven said as Kamen Rider Dragon Knight helped her up. "You were great."
"I'm surprised," Kamen Rider Dragon Knight spoke finally, causing Raven to gasp at the sound of the voice. "I didn't even think I'd last a second."
"Wait…" Raven said. "Oh no… that voice."
"Raven, it's me!" Kamen Rider Dragon Knight said excitedly. "Apple White!"
Everyone back at Ever Advent High gasped in shock.
"Evelyn's daughter!"
"No way!"
"Whoa," Briar said before noticing Faybelle storm off to a mirror. "What?"
Ashlynn and Hunter narrowed their eyes and made their way to another mirror. Behind them, Humphrey got up and made his way to a reflection as well.
"Oh, no you don't!" Meeshell snarled, racing to a mirror.
Poppy slowly got up and took out the Strike Deck. Holly looked to her in shock as she aimed her Deck down at the glass table.
"Poppy, no!" Holly begged.
"It is time!" Duchess exclaimed as she made her way towards a water fountain.
"Apple, how did you—?!" Raven started out.
"I found this Deck in my apartment, and I knew I had to enter the Battle!" Apple said excitedly. "You said I'd be able to fight one day! This is the day!"
"This isn't good!" Rosabella argued. "We have to get you out of here! Now!"
"What? Why?" Apple asked surprised.
"No time!" Raven exclaimed, leading everyone away. "We gotta leave before—"
"Going somewhere?"
Everyone stopped as the tiger-themed Kamen Rider, Axe, and the gazelle-themed Rider, Spear, leapt in and punched and kicked the Riders respectively.
"Axe and Spear?!" Apple gasped.
All of a sudden, Poppy ran in and slashed at Rosabella before going in to stab at Apple. Raven parried her Veno Saber away before blocking an attack from a Swan-themed Rider.
"Out of the way, Queen!" the voice of Duchess Swan hissed.
"Get back, Siren!" Raven warned, keeping her defense up.
Rosabella was about to move in until a rhino-themed Rider attacked her and Maddie.
"Thrust!" Rosabella yelled.
"What's going on?!" Apple exclaimed.
All of a sudden, a torrent of water was sent at the four Riders' feet. They all dodged before seeing a shark-themed Rider approaching with a Rider themed after a Phoenix.
"Abyss…" Apple said.
"Wrath." Raven snarled.
"You're not getting away!" Wrath snarled.
The seven Riders surrounded the four, glaring them down.
"What now?" Apple asked before the Riders surrounding them opened up their Visors.
"Fight… or you won't survive." Raven said.
Everyone started to reach for their decks for a Card. Apple, Raven, Rosabella and Maddie did as well. All at once, they pulled their cards out.
