Ben 10: The Clash Of Worlds

Anodyne. There was no place like it. This place was swirling with magic and Ben was enjoying this planet more than anything. Gwen and the others had returned to Earth and he was currently living with his Anodite 'father,' Spellbinder. He had been teaching him and taking care of him for a while now and Ben was finally gaining more control of his powers.

"I think you have mastered the power blast, but you need help with aiming it," Spellbinder said, now looking at the burning tree.

"I'm getting better," Ben winked. Spellbinder rolled his eyes and saw Nuro fly by; now that Nuro was known to be trustworthy, they would have more time to speak to him.

"You are definitely strong, Ben; there's another version of you that I watch over and he definitely has your spunk," Nuro smiled.

"Other version?" Ben asked, now powering down from his Anodite form.

"Remember, young one…there's many alternate universes out there," Nuro said, now looking into the distance. But then his expression grew solemn and he turned to the Anodite king. "Your Highness, I need to speak with you in person."

"Follow me," Spellbinder said, now walking and leading him into the distance. Once they were in a secluded spot, Nuro formed legs and looked at the king.

"I feel that Zs'Skayr still has a terrible plan. He has been in contact with the Vladat king and his princes." Nuro said, his face turning more pale. "Ghostfreak informed me of this."

"The Vladat king?" Spellbinder said in surprise.

"Yes, the one and only King Vampiro." Nuro said calmly.

"This isn't good. I thought he had been killed, along with his sons, in the last war," Spellbinder said.

"We thought that as well, but there is definitely more to this than we thought. There is going to be a nasty battle heading this way if we don't find a way to come to terms," Nuro said.

"Impossible." Spellbinder said.

"Your Highness?" Nuro replied in concern.

"I said impossible. The Vladat King is my sworn enemy…they destroyed half of Anodyne in the last war and I mean to protect my people," Spellbinder replied.

Nuro only nodded; the two alien races were not close to each other and they were far from wanting peace at this time.

Meanwhile…

Vampiro growled as Zs'Skayr pulled out papers and 'photos' of what the Anodites did to their home world.

"See my king?! I had protected all I could and they almost killed me! The Anodites did this!" Zs'SKayr said, now laying his scythe to the side.

"And if you don't mind me asking…how did you all escape?" Mr. White asked calmly.

"We were in a pre-war and gone away on business. The time warp collapsed and got us caught in another universe; it has taken us years to learn how to return back to our home," Vampiro said, now looking at his sons. "What did you learn?"

"Spellbinder has a new 'offspring.' He's a blue Anodite as well and will definitely be a threat in the future," Vamps said.

"A blue Anodite?! Those are very rare," Vampiro said. "This is not good."

"We must kill him! We can kill him by dawn!" Zs'Skayr said.

"No…," Ghostfreak said in concern. He had been 'pretending' to be Zs'Skayr's apprentice, but he was actually a spy and trying to protect the Anodite throne and watch over Ben.

"No…we will not kill anyone unless it is necessary," Vampiro said, now giving a stern look to the angry Ectonurite.

"But Your Highness! They tried to kill you and your sons! Surely you will seek vengeance on them! I even have someone that can also help us," Zs'Skayr said.

"Enough…," Vampiro said. "I don't want to hear about any killing or any act of violence until we have a reason to act. We are going to take back our thrones and begin again."

"We will begin to revive the Vladat race and live in peace." Vamps said.

"Of course, Great Prince," Zs'Skayr said, now sinking into the background and growling as he went out the door. Mr. White was urged to follow based on the harsh tug on his black sleeve. Once they were out of the room and in private, the tall man began to speak.

"What is it?" Mr. White asked.

"Hush, you fool. We need to get our plan ready for action. We don't have much time and we need to move phase one into play," the Ectonurite smirked, now wielding his scythe.

"Phase one?" Mr. White asked, now leaning on the door.

"You idiot! Do I have to explain everything myself?! If it weren't for your access to Earth machinery and technology, I would have killed you off by now!" Zs'Skayr growled out.

"Listen, you need to be more clear in what you want to do. I can't always follow that crazy mind of yours!" Mr. White snapped, now dodging an angry swipe.

"Now listen to me, you overgrown piece of flesh. You and I need to make sure that we move every single person out of our way," Zs'Skayr hissed, now looking into the distance. "When it is time, I will move out my assassin. He never fails and I already know his first victim…."

"Assassin? I thought Vampiro said to not kill anyone," came the confused reply.

"He doesn't know what he's talking about; he's going to see the way once I do what I need to do," the Ectonurite laughed out. "All I need is to wait for the right time."

Mr. White gulped as he saw Zs'Skayr pull out a blood red scythe. It was different from his usual one and he lifted it up to the dim lit light in the room.

"This scythe has been kept secret for centuries. This will restore everything back to where it needs to be. I will finally restore order with it," he said, now placing it back down and chanting some magic words. After a few seconds, the scythe disappeared.

A few hours later…

Ben was practicing his magic in the back of the palace when he heard rustling in the bushes. As he slowly turned, he saw that there was someone watching him from the thick foliage.

"Hey…who's there?" Ben asked. As he got closer, he saw that it appeared to be a young Ectonurite. "Who are you?"

The female Ectonurite looked at him a bit closer and the moment that she saw who he was, she let out a small gasp and turned to fly off.

"Hey! Hey, hold on a second!" Ben said, now flying after her. "C'mere!"

"Stay back!" She said, now but she gasped as he pounced on her from the top and the two went rolling in the grass. He pinned her down, even though she tried to get up.

"It's okay…I'm not gonna hurt you," he smiled. "Who are you?"

"I-I'm just a messenger. I'm here looking for Nuro…he's being summoned back to headquarters," she said.

"Oh, he's inside. C'mon…I'll show you," Ben smiled, now leading her inside. She got up and followed him, happy to see Nuro coming towards her. Once they got closer, she mentioned something in Ectonurite language and he replied. Ben couldn't understand, but he did know that it seemed urgent. After a few moments, she left and Nuro turned to Ben.

"Ben…you are under my personal watch from here on out. Spellbinder will be traveling to Earth for a bit because there are rumors of unruly Anodite magic happening there." He said. "Once I come back from headquarters, we can discuss it more."

"But I can help him," Ben replied.

"You can, but he wants you safe. Maybe you can join him after a few days, but until then…you will remain here with me and my associates," Nuro replied.

"I don't need a babysitter, Nuro; I can look after myself," Ben scoffed, now powering up his hands. He had been in his Anodite form so long that he rarely was in human form anymore.

"Ben, you still have a lot to learn about your species. Let someone help you," he smirked, now flying into the back of the castle. "Spellbinder is going to speak with you before he leaves."

Ben only huffed; he didn't like the idea of anyone 'watching' over him. He was still not used to Nuro or trusting of him fully yet. But as he was pondering all of this, he didn't see someone in the distance still watching him. A pair of green eyes that were intently watching his every move.

"Ben Tennyson…the next ruler of Anodyne…," the voice said. It was none other than Vamps himself. He smirked at seeing that Ben was still trying to master his powers. "Professional or not…he's still a threat. We will see what you can do in the future, young human."

And with that, he turned back and vanished into the thick brush. What Ben didn't know was that his destiny was about to change the course of an intergalactic history.
