"I mean the terms seem almost unfairly leaned towards me," Cherri said suspiciously.

"Yeah, probably is, but we need all we need is a military base in the area, the rest of the land would have been just auctioned off, but since it seems you were fighting to claim it, and Captain Nash sided with you to clear off the fight from our DZ, you can have the rest of the area, I'll let you figure out what to do with it," Captain Rex Dorshire of C company in the 31st Helldiver's regiment said handing her a pen and a sheet of paper with basic terms laid out on it. A sort of makeshift treaty.

"Man, shawarma is good," Brian said not paying attention to the pair's discussion about land dealings.

"Must you act like a buffoon?" A female sergeant piped from across the booth.

"Ahh, c'mon lighten up, one must enjoy life's simplicities to truly live, or something like that," the captain said smiling.

"Sir with all due respect, we still have a major issue, where are we staying tonight?" Williams said sighing after coming down from the adrenaline high from battle.

"I don't know a hotel would be the obvious choice sergeant," the captain said before taking a drink of water.

"Hotel? Where are we gonna find a server in hell?" Williams asked pointing out the window. A car crashes into a light pole nearby and a drunken brawl breaks out in a nearby bar.

"Fair, but if I can find a nice restaurant in this place, then a decent hotel isn't out of the question," Nash said smiling.

"That is a testament to your luck more than skill," Doc said.

"You guys talking about a hotel? I hear the princess of hell opened one up, probably a nice place to stay if you don't mind the reform talk she's spouting," a waitress said taking away the used dishes.

"Really now? And where can we find this hotel ma'am?" Nash asked the waitress.

"It should be a short drive away from here, down this street up north and a turn right should bring you near it," She said with a smile.

"Thank you kindly," the captain said getting up and out of the booth, "Sergeant cover the bill please, I'll send you the cost later," the captain said before walking out of the restaurant.

"Sonofuva- Alright c'mon doc, let's pay the bill and get going," Williams said getting up as well.

"Yep yep," Doc replied following Williams.

- The Happy Hotel -

"This is it huh? Looks like a house of horrors," Williams said lighting his cigarette.

"We'll know when we walk in, though I would sleep with an eye open, mainly because I doubt this place is up to code," the captain said pulling out a cane, it was an ornate little piece he obtained on a different trip, a simple mechanical collapsible cane with a round ball cap.

"Heh, I wonder why it's called the happy hotel, little ironic in hell innit?" Doc said chuckling.

"Probably, well let's not delay further, C'mon I want to take a shower and get some rest soon," Brian said walking into the building, looking around he doesn't see anyone on the immediate, "and not a bell insight too, oh well, guess I'll just ask," he said walking to the front desk, "hello! I would like to stay at your-" he looks around and sees what looks like shambles, "-fine establishment!" He shouted slightly concerned.

"Seems we managed to find the one abandoned building without a lock, this place must have been here since the 1800s," Williams said sighing.

"Well it can't be too abandoned, looks like someone was in here recently, they have ice cream bars in this freezer," Doc said before taking a sniff of the suspicious bar.

"Well the waitress said that this place is a hotel, probably has a room somewhere," Williams said walking off to a nearby stairwell.

"Honestly this place needs to be cleaned," Brian said sitting down on a nearby couch.

"No kidding," Doc said before eating the ice cream bar. The pair stayed waiting like that for a small while, looking around and surveying the landing, noticing how the hotel's receptionist was taking a suspiciously long time to respond.

Brian sighed and spoke, "Perhaps John was right, and this is an-" the front door opened interrupting him, walking into the place was a familiar face and two foreign ones, "-perhaps I misjudged," he finished.

"Hey it's you two, where's your third guy?," Angel asked, pointing at The Captain and The Medic.

"Williams is upstairs since he thinks this is an abandoned building, hope he's wrong on that judgment," Brian said before swapping his combat attire for his dress uniform and a trench coat.

"Woah, how did you-"

"Best if you don't ask," Brian interrupted.

"If you say so," Angel said conceding.

"As for your question about if this place is abandoned it's not, Charlie and I own it," a dark-skinned Hispanic sounding woman said.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so glad to see you here, welcome to the Happy Hotel!" The pale woman in a suit, who is presumably Charlie said, shaking the captain's hand.

"A pleasure to meet you to ma'am, I heard talk about this place being a hotel? Mind if we stay for the night, I have work in the morning,"

"I think you misunderstood what this place is," Doc said handing Nash a pamphlet.

"A reform center huh? Well well well, it looks like I found my newest project boys," The captain said smirking.

"Newest project?" charlie asked, vaggie started to eye the three soldiers with great suspicion.

"Yes, this reform center of yours, I believe that you need a bit more help than just you and your friends," The captain said gesturing around him.

"Wait you really believe that people can be reformed?" Charlie asked.

"Yes I-" the captain gets cut off, "perhaps you should answer the door, we can discuss this in a moment," he said pointing to the door.

"Oh yeah, totally," she said before walking off to the door.

Vaggie walks up to the captain, "I don't know what your game is, but don't you think for one minute that-"

"My dear, I think you have been cooped in hell for far too long, if my skin complexion doesn't give it away, then my words shall, I'm a human, and in case you hath forgotten, people help each other out, and sometimes people do that without the expectation of a reward. So please do calm down, you have far better things to direct that anger of yours to, for example," Brian said pointing in Charlie's direction.

"Uhh Vaggie?" She asked.

"What?" Vaggie groaned out.

"The radio demon is at the door," Charlie croaked out with a weak smile.

"What?!"

"My point proven," The captain said slightly disinterested in the radio demon affair. He instead starts to look around to see what can be done to improve the general atmosphere of the place. A new air starts to creep it's way into the place, something that everyone there noticed. "Perhaps you should greet him, sounds like he's a pretty big deal, and I can personally wait," the captain smirking.

"Somehow, I feel like you're gonna twist this into your favor," Williams said grimacing.

"Perhaps I will, we shall see," Brian said taking a seat on a barstool nearby.
