Disclaimer: I do not own either Percy Jackson or Harry Potter. If I did I wouldn't be writing this...

Chapter One

After the war, the old cracks of high society seemed to deviate when it came to being as famous as she was. The pressure of having your life being watched constantly like an insect under a microscope for seven years should have made this meeting easy. However, as the sun leaked into the bleak darkness of 12 Grimmauld Place a house hidden in London Borough of Islington. Lady Zinovia Diantha Potter-Black, famous war hero at seventeen, seemed far paler than usual and her palms were sweaty at the simple thought of meeting her real father. Her father happened to be a God, and not just any God either. He was the King of Gods, Zeus.

A loud crack brought her out of her musings. Electric green eyes barely glanced in the direction the sudden noise had come from the appearance of a small wrinkly creature, that she knew to only be her faithful old house-elf Kreature.

"Mistress it is nearly time, " Kreature croaked in his same old and stern tone he usually spoke in.

She gave a brief nod in his general direction and thanked him. Taking that as his cue to leave he disappeared once more, to continue his clean up of the house if she were to guess at his whereabouts. But she had too much on her mind at this moment to care. Namely the meeting with her father.

A quick tempus confirmed that it was indeed nearly time for her meeting with her father. It was currently 10 o'clock.

She tucked another of her untameable jet black curls behind her ear and rearranged the rest as she looked in the mirror. Thanking Morgana she didn't have one of the annoyingly nitpicky enchanted mirrors most of the other girls in her old dorms did, she didn't think she could handle it as nervous as she was. She gave herself a final once over trailing her electric green eyes over her blue cardigan over the top of her white turtleneck down to her black jeans and styled dragon hide heel boots, scales glinted in the light; if one were to look closely at her outfit they would notice the black skintight scaled armour she wore nearly every day beneath her clothes, since the end of the war as her job as a curse breaker with the goblins required not just skill but the best equipment and she just happened to own a whole 60ft long thousand-year-old dead basilisk, and she wasn't about to let the poor beast go to waste in some smelly old chamber. Call her paranoid and she'd agree, she carried the sword with her too though she wasn't about to tell the goblins that.

Zinovia had wanted to become an Auror but had rethought her choice with the corrupt governments and decided to pay off her debt to the goblins by working for/with them on dangerous trips into ancient tombs for dangerous artefacts. Actually, her job interview was when she discovered her true parentage having to do an inheritance test so they could draft her trainee license. Which had only been roughly two weeks ago.

She closed her eyes breathing in deeply through her nose then releasing it through her mouth as she neared the front door. All it was is a meeting with her father she told herself. Repeating in her head like a mantra that it was.

She fought in a war for Merlin sake! Not to mention all the fantastic beasts she had fought/conquered along the way. All of it was done without feeling so damn pathetically nervous as she was now.

Why was it so nerve-wracking? it was only a meeting with her father. Maybe it was because of the unknowns that the meeting presented. Maybe it was because she hadn't told anyone about it. Or it was because of who he was.

For the most part, Zinovia didn't actually mind keeping things to herself. After the war, the Daily Prophet basically had her life's story anyhow. Even if most of it was exaggerated she figured she was allowed to have some secrets.

This was something she hadn't even told her friends. Though with the way Luna looked at her with her knowing silver-blue eyes she figured the younger woman already knew. She was thankful that she hadn't told anyone of it, though Luna wasn't really the type for gossip anyway.

A small smile found its way onto her face as she walked down the street. Before her thoughts started to wander again to the day she took the inheritance test. Of course, she had always suspected James wasn't her father what with the colour of her eyes, though with the similarities in their hair she figured they had done a similar blood adoption to the one Sirius had done for her so she could inherit his name after his death instead of it going to the closest living relatives of his, which happened to be the Malfoys and she wasn't going to let that happen even if they were on good terms now she held a grudge after her second year.

The test had cleared many things up for her like how she had magic if it was a fifty-fifty chance with her mum being a muggle-born, then came the revelation that her grandmother was the Hecate, the literal mother of all things magic. That particular revelation had the stoic goblins sputtering and stumbling over apologies as if offending her would ensure the wrath of the titan goddess. But the immediate link to Zeus had their beady black eyes widening in fear starting the muttering in their native tongue, she didn't dare to call it Gobbledegook it just sounded like something a moronic wizard would come up with, out of spite. Griphook had looked apoplectic his gnarled hands had clutched where she supposed his heart was, though if goblins had hearts was still debated what with how heartless they seemed.

Then there were the others that were involved with her two blood adoptions if one looked at the tree they could see the names Hades and Thanatos, the Blacks having been married to many demigod children of Hades/Pluto since before they came to England and France now imagine that your number one unwanted person was the great-grandchild of your patron God... makes you think, doesn't it? Thanatos was her adoptive fathers main God ancestor though Eris and Hermes were also there it would explain her ridiculous luck and speed when it came to dodging her cousin-not-cousin as a child. With the Peverells cloak, she supposed she shouldn't have been as surprised as she was.

She pursed her lips in thought she was overthinking it. Again. Ever since the discovery not two weeks ago she had been recounting all of her run-ins with creatures it also explained why Buckbeak now Witherwings liked her so much being half eagle half horse. A love-hate relationship though more love as she cared for him now that Sirius was. She cut her thoughts off there, it was neither the time not the place to be tearing into such painful memories. Her feet halted when she found herself outside of the small café they agreed to meet in. Imagine her surprise when the person she had recently discovered comes looking for her instead of her going through the trouble of contacting him.

A bell chimed above her head as she entered the cosy building her feet taking her to the corner that had comfy red sofas. She slid into the one facing the door so she could see who entered. One of the waiters came by not too long after to ask for her order but she was distracted by the strangely familiar man that entered the café. He was tall with broad shoulders and a head of black windswept hair he was wearing a black suit that had a blue tie that went with his eyes and his eyes when his they met hers she knew it was whom she was to meet. The waiter had walked off to take someone else's order when he noticed her attention was elsewhere.

His electric blue eyes met her green one's and a smile formed on his face as she stood tears welled in her eyes which absently she found odd, she shook it off as she found herself in the man's arms sobbing onto his shoulder. His hands were rubbing comforting circles on her back not that she realised until she came to her senses flushing red in mortification when she realised what she had done. In public no less.

Her eyes were wide, as it struck her. She had cried no. Sobbed. On Zeus. A GOD. She was about to make a run for it when a large hand gripped her arm leading her to the seat she vacated murdering sweet nothings to calm her nerves. Blue met green and she felt her self calm the longer they stared.

His voice was soft albeit it was still loud "It's alright Zinovia my daughter. I'm so proud of you, I'm proud to call you my daughter." he said in a comforting tone. His large hands reached across the small table that separated them taking her smaller ones in his as more tears welled in her eyes.

The only time someone had ever said that they were proud of her was when she was walking to her death and ironically it was her adoptive father who had said it. She blinked away her tears faintly aware of the observers in the small building.

"I'm sorry I..." She started weakly but stopped as she didn't really know what she was apologising for. Thankfully he got the message and just raised an eyebrow. She figured she had broken down because of the hard life she had lived with nary a praise. First with all of the emotional abuse she suffered at the Dursleys then the weight of the wizarding world's expectations that rested heavily on her shoulders for seven years of her life.

"You need not apologise to me Zinovia... you know your adoptive father had named you he thought it was fitting 'the life of Zeus' indeed, they say a man's daughter is the apple of his eye. And watching you grow I couldn't agree more it hurt me greatly when I watched you walk into that forest it was Thalia all over again..." He paused briefly when he thought of his second eldest daughter. A sad smile formed on his admittedly handsome face. Though he was a God.

"It was I who gave you your second name, Diantha, for Lily your mother my little divine flower. Zinovia Diantha... You are a perfect mix of both of us I can see it clearly in your eyes. Only adding to your beauty... So tell me about yourself hearing it from you is different to watching from afar." he said abruptly changing the subject and bringing a bright smile to Zinovia's face Zeus felt his heart melt at that.

She took the hint smiling brightly at him as she began her wondrous tale that was her life skipping over the dreadful years with the Dursleys. "So it began one night on Halloween, though some would argue that it had begun a month before I was born in July on the 31st 1980. When the Prophecy was first uttered..." Zeus froze at the mention of her prophecy reminding him of why he had come in the first place but he shoved that back as he listened to his eldest daughter. "... born as the seventh month dies... but I prefer mine. It was a dark night that Halloween in the small magical village of Godric's Hollow. It had been fifteen months since the Prophecy had been said and heard. A figure cloaked in a shroud of darkness could be seen walking with a purpose towards a house that could not be seen by those who didn't already know it was there. For it was hidden behind a powerful spell called the Fidilius charm. For this spell to work, three people are needed; one to cast it, one to witness it, and one to hold the secret of the location. Of course, the couple it was intended to hide hadn't thought of the possibility of one of their friends betraying them.

" But betray them the mousy faced man did. When the child's godfather who was to be the decoy discovered the betrayal he immediately went to check the house only to discover it in ruins. The man's name was Sirius Black, he ran up the stairs to the nursery morning the loss of his friends when a giant of a man came to take his Goddaughter someplace safe. Sirius was of the single mind to take down the betrayer so he agreed on this handing over the precious bundle that was cradled in his arms while also gifting the half-giant with a mode of transport. A flying motorcycle.

"The men separated when Sirius left disappearing with a loud crack reappearing where the hiding place of the secret keeper was located in the middle of Muggle London... oh my bad I skipped a bit. The cloaked man entered the previously hidden cottage a bone-white stick in his left hand. In a flash of green the little girl's father sorry, adoptive father, was on the ground of the steps that led to the nursery. Without a second glance, the ruby eyed menace stepped over the glassy-vacant eyed man, continuing on his way to the nursery. The girl's mother stood her arms spread wide standing protectively in front of her daughter. She denied the man three times when he asked her to move... why you might be wondering, why would he ask to spare her and not the man? I will get to that in a moment... when she did not his patience was wearing thin and anger replaced his willingness to spare her. The words were uttered once more and another flash of green and the woman was down unseeing eyes staring blankly at the ceiling.

" The man had skin as white as his wand with only slits where his nose should have been his ruby eyes met the swirling electric green of the little girl in the crib. He sneered down at the child before snarling the words of the curse of death and another green flash appeared going straight for the child... only for it to bounce off the toddlers head leaving a bleeding mark where lightning seemed to strike out at the man when the green light faded. Leaving behind only a tattered black cloak. That was the story of my scar, now why the snake face man self-named 'flight from death' dared to spare the woman. One of the man's most trusted lieutenants the very same man who had told him of the prophecy unknowingly dooming the woman he loved. When he discovered who the prophecy could involve he panicked and, Severus, for that, was his name asked a boon of his master and lord he asked that he spare her the woman Lily. Voldemort agreed to do this if she surrendered, Severus left his heart feeling a little lighter but he didn't trust his master to do so and went to a man he thought he could trust with the safety of his beloved Lily.

"Revealing who the Dark Lord was going to target, and the man Albus Dumbledore agreed only asking what he would do and why only Lily. Severus said he would do anything and grudgingly agreed to become a spy for the light side in return for his help... That is why the spell worked so well or so they say..." Zinovia concluded her first tale.

Zeus felt pride in his daughter for defeating one so evil at not even a year old. "That is a story I have never heard before... I do say my pride for you has reached a new high..." They hadn't realised the story had gathered an audience until people started clapping and commenting on the grand tale.

Flushing Zinovia in embarrassment they had ordered their drinks in to-go coffee cups with a bag of biscuits as she walked with her father back to her house so they could continue in a more private environment. She spoke of her many misadventures at Hogwarts along the way, grinning when her father smiled encouraging her to continue. He told her again how proud he was when she regaled the tale of her fight with the giant basilisk in the chamber and her friends defeat the troll in their first year. They reached her front door when she spoke of the tri wizard tournament and how she outraced a dragon who had broken its bounds. "...Then there was the time we robbed a bank on the back of a dragon..." Zeus and she laughed at that his laugh was booming it reminded her of a thunderstorm. She snorted of course it did.

Zinovia finished regaling her tales when she got to her inheritance and her job at Gringotts. "Father, err... dad... Not that I don't appreciate your company or anything but why are you here now? It can't have been only for the oh so wonderful stories of my life... I know that I'm not that important..." she mumbled while Zeus frowned he didn't think that the rumours of her always putting herself down were true especially when she had told her stories with such passion.

They were currently in the living room sitting on one of the black leather couches that had comfort runes sewn onto the underside as leather recliners or furniture was never very comfortable more stylish than comfy. Zeus tilted her head so her now stormy green eyes looked into his own blue. "Listen to me Zinovia, never, and I mean never, doubt yourself. You always have been important, even if you weren't important to the wizard community you mean the world to me. I know I haven't been there for you but I couldn't there are laws... but that doesn't excuse it I know I wish that the prophecy was never spoken for these..." He didn't get to finish that thought she had ended up in his arms sometimes into his explanation only to abruptly pull away when she heard the word Prophecy.

Zinovia stepped out of her father's arms her eyes narrowed and her own arms were folded across her chest. She eyed him in suspicion. "What prophecy? I know you can't mean mine for I recently finished that one... And I would prefer not to be used as someone else chess piece start talking father... or leave..." her voice wavered at the end but she held firm she hissed the word and she could feel her eyes stinging with unshed tears but she refused to let them fall.

Zeus' shoulders dropped at the declaration, he wanted to comfort her but couldn't, knowing that he was the reason for it. He sighed in resignation dragging his fingers through his hair not noticing how Zinovia's eyes followed the motion and faltered briefly. "I know that this is a lot to ask of you Zinovia, but someone is stirring things up in Olympus, now I know that it does not involve you for your age allows you to avoid this one... Zinovia please listen... Poseidon has a son, my brother has a son, a selfish part of me wanted the prophecy to be about you. The boy he is like many others an innocent, I came here to ask you to guide him. You have more experience than all of the campers in Camp Half-Blood combined. Even with how much they have trained you surpassed them with your experience.

" Though I know that I would be showing favouritism by telling you this I trust you over all others to not tell a soul. The Prophecy is known as the Great Prophecy it is; A Half-Blood of the eldest gods shall reach sixteen against all odds, and see the world in endless sleep the Heroes soul cursed blade shall reap a single choice shall end his days Olympus to preserve or raze... Zinovia I am trusting you with this knowledge I came here to ask you for help..." Zeus finished his stormy blue eyes met hers again she had collapsed onto the couch closest to her with a frown on her face.

"If I agree to this... what then?" she asked her father curiously.

"You would be rewarded," he stated plainly.

"I don't want a reward. Sometimes I wonder if my saving people thing as my friends jokingly called it. Will be my downfall, I suppose it already has led me to my death once, the need to sacrifice myself to save the lives of everyone else. What is one person compared to the lives of many?. Alright, father, I'll help..." she began her eyebrow rose when a bright smile stretched across his face. "But, there are things I still need to know... Like where this camp Half-Blood is and how I am to get there..." she added when she saw him sigh in relief. As if she could beat a god. She was good but surely not that good.

Zeus nodded giving her the rundown on the whereabouts of the camp and how to get there. "Ah, and before I forget I came bearing gifts, I know that your birthday isn't far from now..." he said before noticing her deadpan look her birthday was months away. "Ahem, right here you go... " he said handing her a stunning gold charm bracelet that appeared out of nowhere.

There were three charms on it; one was a small gold arrow, the second was a sword not too different from Gryffindors in shape only difference would be the metal used it was golden with a black tint outlining it, the last charm was of a round shield it seemed to be decorated with pictures of her adventures/conquests the most prominent was the basilisk it was in the centre of the shield. It was a beautiful gift.

Her eyes were sparkling with delight it was one of the best gifts she had received if she didn't count Hedwig and her Firebolt. "It is from both myself and Hecate. You'll find your second gift in your room... I apologise, my darling flower but I fear I have been away from Olympus too long" he said giving her one last hug and a gentle kiss on her brow before vanishing in a flash.

Zinovia despite herself found she could not stop smiling when he left he explained his the charm bracelet worked before he left and she attached it to her wrist willing the sword into her hand she noticed the charm disappeared when she did. She supposed it was about time she left the wizarding world for a while. A break sounded good but the camp sounded better. She thought as she absently twirled the sword in her hand as she made her way to her room.
