The Admiral's office itself was now finally quiet, thanks to shutting all the windows and pulling down the curtains. This damn impromptu parade had gone on for so long the Admiral wondered if it would EVER stop. However, the silence would not last long as a knock on the door caused the rooms occupants to turn their heads towards the door.
"It's the General." remarked Nagato after opening the door slightly. The Admiral sighed. "Let him in." Nagato opened the door and stood aside. In came a man dressed in formal military wear along with two Marines wearing combat uniforms, evidently his security detail.
"Please, do take a seat." The Admiral stated, pointing towards the chair opposite the desk. Noticing the man opposite had gotten comfy in his seat, the Admiral got straight down to busniess.
"So, first things first, greetings are in order, I am Admiral Tanaka, and you are..." The man reached across and gave the Admiral a firm handshake, grinning. "...General Stevens!" "Well it is nice to meet you, however, you seem to be a bit early, we expected you here in a few hours from now." Stevens gave a frown. "Well we got here early, so we decided the sooner we could get our stuff off, the less of a window those damn monsters could have to find us and destroy our ships while docked." The Admiral gave a stern look at the General before leaning in and speaking. "While I understand your choice, you could have at least contacted us ahead of time about your early arrival. I wanted to give an announcement regarding your arrival, considering that some ships may have a rather negative reaction to a large American force showing up like they own the place. Considering the history of most of these ships, I worried that some would see this as an invasion or attack, or as a chance to get revenge."
Stevens sat back in his chair. He had never really given any thought to the reactions the Kanmasu would have when his convoy came rolling in. After all, haven't they all been informed on the last 80-ish years of history? He could understand a certain amount of coldness or outright hostility between Kanmasu who fought each other (that's why he had a group of naval historians vet all the Kanmasu he brought beforehand, so there would be no "problems" with Japanese ships), but simple Marines? Marines that looked nothing like their 1940's counterparts? 'Ah well, you learn something new everyday, I suppose.' The General thought to himself
"Yeah well, I was not aware that it would cause problems, but so far things seem to be quiet, so perhaps your fears are unfounded" The General stated. "In any case, I'm sure you are aware there are other matters that need discussing."
The Admiral sat back and nodded, listened intently to his counterpart. "Now then, my first topic is that of our actual objective/purpose here. The US and Japanese government are using us as guinea pigs to test out the possibility of further larger scale collaborations between Kanmasu and armed forces. Therefore, it has been decided that our primary objective, once integration and training are complete, is to take back the island of Okinawa."
"When the Marines evacuated Okinawa, they left alot of heavy equipment behind, things like tanks, IFVs, APCs, Aircraft, not to mention the still useable airbases and military facilities on the island. Capturing the Island would allow Marines, Kanmasu, and the JSDF to utilize the island as a base, resupply point, and to extract resources."
"However, before we start planning for this invasion, we first have to integrate and train Marines, Kanmasu, and supporting JSDF elements, so they can all work together and do what they need to. Of course, the largest amount of training is likely going to be needed in regards to Kanmasu operating side by side with Marines. We have to learn how to call in airstrikes from Kanmasu carriers, how to direct artillery fire, how to do recon, how to protect landing craft. In particular, alot of attention needs to be devoted to accurate fire support. I want to make sure both Marines and Kanmasu know how to use older methods of targeting, considering the Marines ditched their LaBuznik devices due to the interference caused by the Abyssals. So things like smoke grenades, grid coords, stuff like that."
The Admiral took all the information in, before leaning forward and sighing. "Well, setting up all that training is going to take time, as I'm sure you understand, but all that can come later. For now, do you have a list of the Kanmasu you brought with you?"
The General reached into his pocket and pulled out a folded paper, before handing it to the Admiral. The Admiral stared at the list, all seemed normal, until he reached the last name on the list.
"Why did you bring an inland ship with you? I doubt she can even go 20 miles offshore without sinking." The general looked back at him with a evil smile. "Well tell that to her face and see if she finds it in her heart to let you walk out of here alive." Followed by a chuckle coming from one of the General's bodyguards.
The Admiral groaned and under his breath mumbled. "Why do I always get stuck with the crazy shipgirls?"

The helicopter, to be more specific, a Huey, flew low over the Japanese coastline, inside the helicopter sat 4 girls, along with assorted luggage and a boombox behind one of the girls.
"Gonna tell Aunt Mary 'bout uncle John, he claimed he had the misery but he had alot of fun, oh baby..."
The long haired blond girl, whom the boombox was positioned behind, turned to stare at the black haired girl with a pixie cut, who was currently giving her a stern look.
"Jesus Wisconsin, what is it with you and this damn song?" The black haired girl yelled, trying to make herself heard among both the roaring blades of the helicopter and the music.
Wisconsin gave the black haired girl a look of fake shock. "Wait Thundie, you mean to tell me you haven't watched Predator?" "Wisky, how many times have I told you, my name is Thunderchild, not Thundie!" Thunderchild exclaimed, missing the irony in her statement.
At that statement, Wisconsin turned to the smallest girl of the group, smirking. "Well, Fitz, what do you think, Thundie or Thunderchild?" The petite redhead looked back at Wisconsin sheepishly. "W-well, I don't really think its nice to call a girl by a nickname she doesn't like..." Wisconsin, with a now full sized evil grin on her face, turned back to Thunderchild. "Well I guess we will take that as a vote for Thundie..." Her smile grew wider as she heard Thunderchild begin to growl.
The tension in the air suddenly dissipated as the brunette next to Wisconsin slapped her in the face. "Jeez, when will you two ever stop! I swear, this group consists of me and the goddamn three stooges!"
Wisconsin sighed. "Well, leave it to JF Kongo to ruin my fun..." Kongo, in the meantime, continued to stare angrily at Wisconsin. "Yeah, and the next time you do that, I'll be throwing your ass out this damn helicopters door, you hear me?!" Wisconsin only gave her trademark smirk. "Sure, JFK, we will see about that..."

AN: So, another chapter finished!
Time to be real with you guys for a second here: I'm writing alot of this by the seat of my pants here, so If you guys got any ideas for things/situations/anything else you want me to put in the story, send me a DM (Yes I will give you credit if you want)
Anyway, expect a long wait between this chapter and the next one, considering I want to make sure certain events are written well in the next chapter
Also, a little extra tidbit, I wanted to add Zumwalt to the cast of new ships, with her acting like a terminator (very cold, focused on combat, machinelike) however I decided against it, as I am having a hell of a time with the ships I already introduced.
Anyways, feel free to review, fav, follow, whatever. See you next time!
