"Please Kakashi sensei! Stop training that bastard and train me instead!"
"Naruto, you've asked me this- you know what? I'll teach you a technique
"Really sensei?" Naruto asked, stopping his tirade and looking at his sensei in awe.
"Sure. I'll share a little secret my sensei taught me back in the day." Kakashi replied with an eye smile, snapping his book shut and taking out a scroll. "The thing is, by teaching others you learn many things yourself. So here's the secret - train kunoichi."
"T-train kunoichi sensei? What does that mean? And how does that help me?"
"Erhm... the... the meaning of the phrase must be learned through careful self examination and thought. Yes. Think about it a lot, and you might find an answer that... appeals? Yes appeals to you!" Kakashi said with an eye smile, before disappearing in a cloud of leaves.
"Train kunoichi?" Naruto said to himself, walking out of the training grounds. "What does he mean by train kunoichi? And how does that make me stronger anyways!? I guess I can give it a shot?"
With that in mind, Naruto went to the academy to try and find a willing participant to help him out.
Walking around Konoha thinking about Kakashi's words, Naruto saw Konohamaru and his friends.
"Hey! Konohamaru! Udon! Moegi! Over here!" Naruto yelled, beckoning for them to come over.
"What do you want boss?" Konohamaru asked Naruto as he walked towards him.
"I wanted to teach you a technique I learned recently" Naruto said, stick his feet onto a wall and walking up it "Don't you want to know how to walk on walls?"
"Boss, that's a pretty basic technique. I see people do it all the time." Konohamaru said, losing interest and turning away. Panicking, Naruto came up with the best argument he could to try and maintain his friend's attention.
"No real ninja doesn't know this technique! Anyways, does Ebisu teach anything like this to you?" Konohamaru stiffened before turning back towards him. Inwardly, Naruto smirked. Just the mention of the failures of Ebisu as a teacher was enough to get Konohamarus attention every time.
"Alright Boss! Let's do this!"
"No Konohamaru! You can't force more chakra into your feet and expect it to work better! You're just blasting yourself off the wall even harder!"
Since convincing Konohamaru to participate in the training exercise, they had moved to a training ground and had begun trying to walk on trees.
Key word - try.
Konohamaru seemed to be convinced that he could brute force his way to sticking on the trees, while Udon was so indecisive with his chakra that he would commit enough, and would thus fall off constantly as well. The only person that had much success with the exercise was Moegi, who was getting a few steps up the tree before losing her concentration and falling off.
"You're doing great Moegi! You're falling off the tree as you get higher up on tree and you get worried about falling." Naruto said, walking up the tree himself for emphasis, before jumping down again, and looking at the tree. "Tell you what Moegi, I'll stand down here and catch you if you fall. So take your time, stay calm and walk up that tree. You got this!"
With a nod, Moegi stepped up to the tree once more and began walking up it. She slowed down the further up she got, but with a reassuring nod from Naruto she relaxed herself and began walking up the tree again, consiouscly maintaining the balance of chakra in her feet and keeping the circulating currents consistent and calm.
Before she knew it, she had climbed up to the top of the tree and took a seat on a branch. "Hey Naruto! Look! I made it up to t-"
And suddenly, everything froze for Naruto. Moegi stopped talking mid sentence, her lips freezing in place and words dieing mid air. In front of him, the outline of a green rectangle appeared, with the word "loading" underneath it. Gradually, the rectangle was filled in, before the rectangle dissapeared and was replaced by an interface, with an already opened menu.
Of course Naruto knew nothing about what was happening in front of his eyes. From his point of view, a mess of hard to understand kanji characters were appearing all around the screen, with boxes on boxes surrounding the words and occiasonal pictures appearing as well.
Naruto just did the simplest thing, and read the words in front of his face.
Welcome, to the alpha build of Kunoichi trainer, a monster training game set in the world of Naruto! We hope you enjoy this alpha build, and would appreciate any feedback you would have for the developers. Would you like being the tutorial?
Naruto stared at the paragraph, slowly reading it. He had no clue what an alpha build was supposed to be, nor what a monster training game was supposed to be. He also had no clue why his name was in the message. But the message mentioned training kunoichi, which was the advice that Kakashi gave him.
So, after a long period of hesitation, Naruto, with a great deal of trepidation, said yes.
And his world changed forever.
