Ok, hear me out. We all know how The Inquision was at this point, right? Well, like many, I was fairly "displeased" it. But, I got this idea. What if, well, insert the plot of this here. Half humanish-half cartoon Gumball.
I thought well, hey, it sounds like a good idea! So here we are. It's basically like a retelling of the episode, but.. Maybe better? Depends how people view this.
DISCLAIMERS BEFORE WE BEGIN! This is just an idea, don't take it too harsh. Idk if anyone cares, but this KIND OF has spoilers to the episode. Sort of. Not really, but a smidge.
Half-Toon GB is also mostly based off my interpretation of him as well, human. (Tawog humans AU) Though be it minor alterations. (his hair the most, I can just not draw the actual human hair right Hhfshkn-)
This kind of takes place in the canon, a little. I switched a couple things up.
With all that out of the way, onto the first chapter.
(PS: S. Evil is just me being too lazy to type out his entire name. You'll see it a couple billion times.)

Terror.
All Gumball and Darwin could feel at that moment.
They knew today was pretty weird, with how Superintendent Evil was treating everyone, declaring something about "stomping out cartoonish conduct". But they didn't realize what actually went on.
Now here the two were, standing in front of a doorway, leading inside to a darkly lit room with horrific looking machines and devices, turning people they knew into weird new fleshy beings. Tobias, Tina, and Sussie were looming behind them, already those new beings. Tobias and Tina had a sinister grin, while Sussie um.. Was being Sussie.
Superintendent Evil was in front and center, frowning upon them as if they were vile pests. "I assure you, this is in the best of your interest."
Gumball and Darwin were horrified, their pupils nearly dots. "What are you doing to them?.." Gumball uttered. By now he could've made some kind of snarky comment or joke, but he was too much in fear to do that. This wasn't something to laugh about.
"Fixing them," Superintendent Evil replied. "and their transformation is almost complete."
As he said that, Masami, who was still in one of the weird devices, began to turn "realistic", opening her eyes with a blank look. Gumball and Darwin's eyes widened, and in fear they screamed, trying to escape the room. However, the former three students behind them blocked the two's way.
"I'm afraid you cannot escape." S. Evil moved Rocky and Juke aside, the devices now free to use again. "It's the best way."
"No it's not!" Gumball argued. "You're practically taking away who people are!"
"Who they are is nonsense." S. Evil answered.
Suddenly, Gumball and Darwin were grabbed by Tobias and Tina. They struggled to break free of their grip, but to no avail.
"Mr. Wilson, if you may."
Tobias nodded to Superintendent Evil's order, and took Gumball to at first, the head mold machine. The blue cat was screaming, trying to escape, as the humanoid forced him down in the seat. Gumball flinched in fear, as the machine did its job. He looked down, and much to his confusion, he was still normal. Nothing happened.
"What? What happened?" S. Evil came over, rather annoyed, as he examined the machine. "This should of worked!" The man soon looked down at Gumball, then fixed his gaze back to the head mold. "I see."
"What? Oh. Let me guess, it's because of my big head isn't it?" The cat inquired, rather frightened still, but deadpan.
Superintendent Evil didn't respond. "Electrocution it is then."
Tobias then picked Gumball back up and put him into the other device, trying to keep him down. Gumball was screaming once again, as small tears were seen streaming down his cheeks. The head piece was forced on, and Tobias stood back.
Darwin was horrified. He struggled helplessly, wanting to save his brother from this horrible thing. The goldfish, in desperate measures, then spat on Tina's arm. She unintentionally dropped him, disgusted as she tried to clean it off. Darwin got up and ran to the machine.
"After him!" S. Evil yelled, as the three students tried to take hold of the fish.
The electric sparks began shooting down, and Gumball cringed at the pain, still crying and screaming. Darwin fearfully ripped off the head device, eyes shut. He couldn't bear to hear his brother like this. The goldfish felt the device dangling in his hands, and he grew relieved that he managed to stop it. However, he heard a thump, then silence.
Hesitant, Darwin opened his eyes. He froze.
It felt like time went by like a blur. All he remembered was running out of the room, hearing the distant shouts of Superintendent Evil and the three students. He didn't have that much time to take a closer look to know what had happened. He failed.
"What the?.."
"Ew, what happened with him?.."
"Looks pretty weird.."
"..."
"Ugh... What?..." Gumball slowly awoke, sitting up on the floor. He blinked, glancing around at the surroundings, fear soon flooding back. His sight fell onto S. Evil and the three students, who were looking upon him ahead, with what looked to be either disgust, or shock.
He soon realized Darwin wasn't present. With fear, Gumball looked up the four. "Where's Darwin? What'd you do to him?"
"He hasn't been transformed yet." Superintendent Evil said, rather disapprovingly. "As for you, well-"
Quickly, Gumball looked down, terrified out of his mind. However, he became confused. He was unfortunately "transformed" all right, but not in the way he expected. His body shape looked fairly different from what the beings were. He soon noticed his familiar blue tail was still there, curved slightly near him. Gumball then felt his head, touching what appeared to be his cat ears. When he put down his hand, he spotted only four fingers, unlike well, the weird humanoids.
"You didn't come out as wanted." S. Evil continued, as Gumball looked back up at him. "Thanks to Watteradoptson no less."
"You're a mistake pretty much." Tobias said.
"Not like us." Tina added, with a slight snarl.
"He gets it." S. Evil snapped, making Tobias and Tina flinch. "If we're able to try again, the transformation shouldn't be interrupted this time, and it will succeed."
"Look you psychotic weirdo, you're not making me one of those things!" Gumball stood up, a little ticked off.
"You have no choice, really. You're not going anywhere if you're incomplete."
Gumball grew frightened, as the three students began to corner him. Somehow, he managed to quickly leap over them, and run out the door.
"Get him!" S. Evil shouted.
The cat humanoid was a lot faster than the three students, glancing back a couple times to see if he lost them or not. He tried to turn a random corner, hoping they'd run straight. To his relief, they did.
With the three now gone, Gumball warily went down the empty hallway. He was still pretty shaken up at the moment, but concerned of his brother's whereabouts.
He soon picked up noises of what sounded like crying and heavy breathing, coming from one of the storage closets.
Cautiously, Gumball slowly opened the door, looking in to the room. It was pretty dark, but he could faintly make out a figure huddled into a corner. "..Darwin? Are you in here?.."
He saw the figure freeze up, upon hearing his voice. Quietly, he came in, shutting the door behind him, in worry of one of the three students seeing him.
"You're not taking me I don't want to be one of those things!" Darwin cried, fear heard in his voice. He looked more frightened, noticing a figure in the room.
"Wait Darwin it's okay, it's just me! I'm not going to hurt you!" Gumball came a little closer, somewhat revealing himself. He heard a slight shriek, which was probably a bad sign, stopping from coming any closer now. Gumball soon noticed he was taller, his shadow almost looming over his brother.
"Wait.. Gumball? You're.." Darwin paused, looking up at his appearance with slight confusion. "Not that creepy?.."
"Um.. Yeah I think when you stopped that weird machine thing it kinda went through halfway.." Gumball replied. "But don't worry I'm not one of them."
Darwin seemed to relax a little, giving the signal that Gumball could come closer now. The cat humanoid sat down on his knees, the situation awkward enough as it was. The two fell silent.
"So.. What do we do now?.." Darwin asked, breaking the silence.
"I.. Don't actually know yet.." Gumball stared at the ground. "I mean, we could probably escape the school and tell people about this, but well.. Who knows how many people in here are already 'fixed'.."
"Yeah.. But we should think of something at least. We can't stay in here forever, they might find us."
Suddenly, a loud noise interrupted the two, startling them. They both stood up quickly, hearing the noises getting louder.
"Get behind me." Gumball said, in which Darwin followed, peeking out to see what was there. The doorknob to the closet began to move.
The two stepped back, rather in fear, as the door swung open. However, the three students weren't there.
Before Gumball could react, something swung at him, and everything quickly went to black.

Welp, that was chapter one. Interesting, amirite? Let me know what you think, if it was good, bad, or well, alright.
See you next chapter!
I guess if you want to see what Gumball's supposed to look like, there's some drawings up on my gallery in DeviantArt that sort of look like what's shown here. Just a heads up.
