A/N: Daniel is an OC. I know you've already read Bella's story in the first chapter but it's important for this chapter so the Cullen's will understand who Bella is as a person.

After the school day was over, Bella met Alice and her mate at her car. She wasn't surprised to see her car surrounded by everyone considering it just came out this year. Bella didn't mind everyone looking at her car but she was tired of them touching it.

"Where are we headed?" Bella asked as she finally got through the group of students around her car.

"Towards the outside of town," Alice said hoping in the front seat leaving her mate to get in the back.

"What's your name? I can't keep calling you Alice's mate," Bella asked smiling looking at him in the mirror.

"It's Jasper," he said as he felt her emotions. He was happy to know Bella didn't mean any harm.

"Major Whitlock?" she asked stunned. She has admired this man for years. She has journals and books about this man from the time he was human.

"Yes," he said smirking when he felt her shock, surprise, and admiration towards him. It seems he had a fan.

"Oh my God! I have a legend in my car," Bella whispered as her mind spun in different directions. She already knew almost everything about him from his human years and some of his Newborn Wars history but she wanted to know his story from his own mouth. Bella knew sometimes people's history gets mixed up and often weren't at all accurate.

"Are you here in town by yourself?" Alice asked before they could begin talking about History. They would've talked for hours or days without stopping if she didn't intervene.

"Yes. I've been on my own since my change. I don't even know my sire but awoke up with a note telling me about the different hunting methods and not to go out in the sun," Bella said glaring towards the road. She had never gotten over being abandoned so callously by her sorry excuse of a sire.

"I'm sorry. I know what's it's like waking up alone with no one to take care of you," Alice said squeezing Bella's hand. She knew they would be best friends and sisters when she finally got a glimpse of Bella's future.

"Your scent reminds be of a nomad I ran into a few years ago. Actually, I think you have two sires," Bella mused.

"Do you know their names?" Alice asked as Jasper sat up wanting to know who abandoned his mate.

"You smell like James and Daniel. James was a psychopath. I ran into him in 2000. I had to kill him and his mate due to them killing and raping humans in the open. They weren't even trying to hide what they were," Bella said with disgust in her voice.

"Oh God," Alice whispered stunned.

"You're very lucky that James didn't know about your gift. He would've used you for his own gain. I think Jasper understands that better than anyone," Bella said as she pulled into the driveway.

"And Daniel?" Jasper asked pulling Alice into his arms.

"Daniel has been in hiding since 1920. I met him ten years ago. He's actually a very good man. He worked in an asylum before he went into hiding. I think you're the young woman he was trying to save," Bella explained.

"He must have changed you to protect you, Darlin," Jasper stated hugging his Ally to him.

"I can call him whenever you're ready," Bella said as they walked into the house.

"I'd like that but I need a little time to come to terms with it. I thought my sire didn't care about me, so I need a little time to wrap my head around this," Alice said sitting down on the loveseat with Jasper.

"No problem. We have nothing but time," Bella said just as a blonde man entered the room. She could tell he was the coven leader by the way he held himself.

"Hello, my name is Carlisle Cullen and this is my family. This lovely woman is my mate Esme Platt and my kids. You already know Alice Brandon and Jasper Whitlock so let me introduce the others. This is Rosalie Hale and her mate Emmett McCarty, and lastly, this is Edward Mason," Carlisle said motioning towards each member of his family.

"It's a pleasure to meet you all. My name is Isabella Marie Swan. I was born in 1901 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and changed into a vampire when I was 17-years-old in 1917 during wartime," Bella started telling her story.

"I wanted to help people so I became a nurse. My parents weren't happy that I didn't get married or have children but they were happy that I decided to help people," she paused thinking about her family.

"That was very noble of you," Esme said smiling at this beautiful young woman.

"Since I've been a vampire, I've been alone. My sire abandoned me before I even woke up. I don't even know his or her name," she said frowning.

"That's terrible," Carlisle stated stunned. He couldn't believe someone could be that heartless.

"Over the years, I've gotten so many degrees in Literature, History, Medicine, Music, Law, and Financial. I've built up my fortune over the years. I'm not really one for money so I mainly just donate to charities, schools, hospitals, and military branches. I even worked with shelters for abused women," Bella said smiling. She was so proud of herself.

"That's amazing," Rosalie said as everyone nodded in agreement. But they were a little ashamed of themselves for not helping people and just going to school. They weren't helping people like that. It was just a way to pass the time.

"If you'd like to do something like that, let me know. I can help you get in contact with the right people," Bella said smiling. This was the last time she'd be going to high school. It was a waste of time.

"Do you have any gifts?" Carlisle asked smiling. He was happy to have finally met another vampire who enjoyed helping people.

"Yes. I have a mental and physical shield along with being able to change anyone's appearance, including my own. Because of that, I'm able to stay in one place for longer periods of time. I don't really like change so my gift really helps with that," Bella said smiling.

"Are you able to stop sparkling?" Emmett asked.

"Yes. I love being able to be in the sun. I get to be out whenever I want without worrying about the Volturi," Bella said beaming.

"That's amazing!" everyone exclaimed. Bella was so lucky.

"I can make you appear more human, not just myself," she said shaking her head when she was surrounded by everyone thanking her.

"Anyway, the thing I love most about my physical shield is it helps with my bloodlust. I have never harmed a human since I've been changed. I know there are some humans that are evil and need to be taken care of but I can't bring myself to play God," she explained.

"We understand," Alice said smiling.

"But I've never judged anyone on their feeding habits. I have plenty of great friends who feed on humans, we get along just fine. They are good people," she said smiling. She may have a lot of friends but she was closest to Peter and Charlotte.

"I understand, I have a lot of human drinking friends also," Carlisle said smiling at this amazing young woman.

"The only vampires I stay away from are the Volturi. I hate them. They are nothing but power-hungry and brought unsuspecting humans to their deaths by the busload. Aside from that, they have killed whole covens just to collect the gifted vampires. They are monsters in the truest sense of the word," she said glaring. She was trying so hard so to lose control of her temper.

"See! I'm not the only one who thinks that!" Rosalie exclaimed. She was so happy someone finally agreed with her on the Volturi. Her family never believed her on the matter of the Volturi.

"I never wanted to believe them to be monsters. But power corrupts," Carlisle said frowning. He could no longer deny that the Volturi were everything the rumors say they are.

"Anyway, since I've been changed I have watched over my family. My parents had finally moved on after a year of searching for me and had another child. His name was Charles Jonathan Swan. CJ they called him. After I had the money, I bought my family home for them anonymously so they wouldn't worry about the mortgage. They could stay there and not worry about anyone taking the house. I made sure that the house would remain in the family until the family died out. I will not let anyone take the house back from them so we wouldn't lose our family home. I have too many fond memories in the house," Bella continued.

"That was a good thing you did for your family," Jasper stated smiling. This lady was a good person. He could tell they'd get along just fine.

"I have a lot of great-nieces and nephews. One of them is even named after me. Her name is Isabel Marie Swan the second. I'm very proud of little Isabel. She followed in my footsteps and became a doctor to help people. Childen specifically. Her specialty was Pediatrics. She retired a few years ago due to her eyesight leaving her," Bella said smiling.

"That's amazing," Esme said smiling. She was happy that this young lady was still looking out for her family to this day.

"Anyway, over the years, I've paid for my family's college education anonymously so they wouldn't have to worry about loans. They could just concentrate on becoming who they want to be instead of worrying about the money. They all have their own trust funds. I'm more than happy to take care of my family for eternity," Bella said finishing her story. She knew one of her nephews was graduating high school next year. She'd have to get his tuition paid for soon and get his apartment ready.

"You've got to be the most selfless person on this earth," Edward said smiling at his beautiful mate. He was very proud of her.

"Thank you," Bella said smiling at her mate.

"Do you have a place to live?" Esme asked.

"I actually just bought a little cottage not far from here. It's about a mile away," she said smiling softly at the mother of the clan.

"Well, we'd love to see you again so come over whenever you'd like. You're always welcome," Carlisle invited.

"Thank you. Same to you," Bella said as she headed out the door.

"Where are you going?" Edward asked.

"I have to go hunting. It's been a while," she said.

"Okay. Please, come back later," he requested.

"I will," she promised before leaving.
