"Hermione, where are you going?", asked Harry
I turned around and looked at him, "You do know how many classes I'm taking, don't you?"
"Right, see you at lunch", he said as he and Ron walked off to the Divination classroom.
I walked into an abandoned classroom and took out my time-turner. I made sure I had the right school books for the class I was about to go to and took a deep breath. It was the first day of school and I didn't know what would happen. I exhaled and turned it.
When I looked around again, I knew something was wrong. I was in a Muggle house, not in a classroom at Hogwarts as I had expected. I was sitting on a bed that looked rather like mine. On the walls were posters of soccer teams.
"Wait, soccer teams?", I thought. "I don't like soccer"
Across the room was another bed that said Lily across the headboard in cursive. Another redhead walked into the room.
"Hi Hermione, aren't you excited? Our first day at Hogwarts is tomorrow!", she said
"I know, right?", I said, trying to play along
"Wait, she looks awfully familiar, especially those green eyes. Oh my god, that's Lily Evans, Harry's mother! The Time Turner must have malfunctioned and now I'm Lily Evans' sister", I thought, panicking
"Lily, Hermione, which one of you took my hair dryer!?", yelled another voice, bringing me back to reality
"Sorry Tuney, I borrowed it yesterday and forgot to bring it back!", yelled Lily, running to the bathroom and coming out with a hair dryer
Another girl, who I assumed must be Harry's Aunt Petunia walked in. "Stop taking my things you freaks!", she yelled, snatching the dryer and walking out
Lily sat on the bed next to me, "Why can't the three of us just be sisters like we used to be before the two of us got our letters", she asked sadly
"I don't know, I think she just wishes that she could go with us", I said, trying to comfort her
"Lily, Hermione, time for breakfast!", called a masculine voice
"Uh-oh, I don't know Lily and Petunia's parents and they think I'm their daughter", I thought, walking out of the room to the kitchen.
